I got on the poet train a couple of months ago. My plan was to dca my paychecks into it, but each time I wanted to buy shares it forced me to talk to the Schwab representative. Just an all around humiliating experience where they baby boy lecture me that the stock is volatile. I got sick of it and just switched to another stock after a month. I’m reading now that maybe fidelity would’ve been a better choice? Anyways I just opened one and I also found out that I can contribute to 2025 until April 15th. Is there like some sort of option when I buy that will let me decide which fiscal year I want to contribute to? Also what are some no brainers I should have to diversify? While we all know the true, some might even say deep f%^&ng, value of the one true stonk, it is indeed refreshing to see more reality-bound and positive treatment of GME data and reports. Especially in light of the readily apparent turn-around and transformation progress, ever-growing pile of cash and earnings numbers, and what sounds like some fun and exciting news and announcements in the near to short-term future. The upgrade to "C" can be additionally highlighted by the fact that good ol' Schwabbie has had GME rated as "F" or "D" consistently for the past 5 years or more. Yes, I know that Charles Schwab no longer works at his namesake company, but since our legal system isn't going to arrest these guys for insider trading, I want to pull all of my money out of Schwab Edits: first, thank you to the people who simply answered the question and offered advice on places to go. I appreciate it. It's really sad to me that just because I used the word ethics, many assumed I'm a Democrat. And last, I am a woman, from the moment the sperm hit the egg. And I have money. A representative told me not only do I have to wait a week but an additional three days after the money clears because of “volatility” She told me I could buy apple or any other stock and not have to wait for funds to clear. Hey all, My (26M) fiance (26F) and I just closed on our new home. I am ready to transfer my retirement accounts from betterment (have used their robo advisors since 2017) to a different brokerage firm. My uncle, who runs a market analysis division of a national financial advisory firm said the Charles Schwab was the best he’d used and would highly recommend. (Due to company policy they are not allowed to have too much capital outside of the companies holdings so he does not use anymore). Let me know if there are any other trading platforms guilty of this action OR if I get any of this information wrong. I BELIEVE IN $GME! Mods, if I'm not helping, please remove this post. I want all of us to flourish in these crazy times and I hope this information helps. EDIT: •TradeRepublic platform is also down according to one user. •E*TRADE is NOW ALLOWING $GME TRADES ACCORDING to another user. •Fidelity appears to be allowing whole (but not fractional) trades with $GME, etc. •WeBull is NOT allowing $GME and $AMC purchases •Ally Invest restricting $AMC trades •Tastyworks is also GUILTY according to one user •Apex Holdings apparently placed a $GME band on STASH app •Tastyworks and Etoro have disabled trading on some stocks •TD Ameritrade is POSSIBLY RESTRICTING $GME and more share buys--need more confirmation from others •According to one user, "interactive brokers" are also blocking buying shares unless you shorted before •Hellostake.com $GME failing to execute. No official block on GME, but beware •Etoro is “close only” for certain stocks •Stake is "fucked" according to one user •Apparently FreeTrade works •CashApp: GME, BB and Naked are gone. AMC and NOK still up. •Schwab: GME, BB, AMC, NOK and Naked blocked from buys. Edit 2: Please DM me updates as some comments are not showing up on this thread for me. That way I can do a better job with all these changes. Edit 3: For those asking "what should I use?" Fidelity has been consistent for today, but always use caution during these times.
