Closes ISWF-2160 Figma designs (not perfectly matching - I changed the tour link to a Button, we don't have any design system components that make a button look just like a link, for good reason) Note that I did find a bug with the prompts-activity endpoint. There is a PR here to fix it: #112738

Figma is crashing
I don’t really understand why it’s been crashing this hard since IPO. I’m a UI/UX designer myself and use Figma pretty regularly. From a product standpoint, it still feels solid to me. A lot of people around me are still using it, and it doesn’t feel like demand just disappeared overnight. But at the same time, the chart looks rough. It’s been in a steady downtrend and every bounce just gets sold. I get that it’s still not profitable and competition is picking up, especially with bigger players entering the space, but the selloff still feels a bit aggressive. At this point I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing something fundamental here. Is this just the market repricing growth names, or is there actually a bigger structural issue with Figma going forward? submitted by /u/TeoNahmad to r/StockMarket [link] [comments]

Should I take a job at Figma?
I'm a design engineer and I have an offer from Figma. Comp is great, team is really strong, and I've always admired the product. A few months ago this would've been an instant yes. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm hesitating. Figma just opened their canvas to AI agents via MCP so now Claude Code, Cursor, Codex etc. can create and modify designs directly in Figma files using your design system. On paper that sounds bullish for Figma. But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if it's a sign that the design file itself is becoming obsolete. If agents can go from a product brief straight to production code, iterating visually in real time what's the Figma file even for? I've been building UIs with Claude and Cursor lately and honestly the output is getting pretty close to what I'd produce in Figma first. The gap is closing fast. So I want objective advice from people deep in this community: Has AI already changed how many people on your team actually need to open Figma? Do you see Figma becoming more essential because of AI, or less? Would you take a job at Figma right now, or does the long-term trajectory worry you? I know *today* Figma has massive enterprise lock-in and network effects. But so did a lot of companies that got disrupted. Genuinely torn here and would love perspectives from people who are living in these workflows every day. Additional context: I have a great job at the moment so I am trying to think of what is best for my career long term. Not looking to make the jump and then have to switch roles again in a few years. Also if there are any Figma employees lurking my DMs are open. submitted by /u/totallyhuman1234567 to r/cscareerquestions [link] [comments]

Why Figma isn't f*cked
Hey everyone. Before we jump in, let's set some context: - I'm a tech founder building in design. Originally started out to compete with Figma. As a result, I've spent the last few weeks talking to dozens of figma users - In a twist of irony, I've become quite bullish on Figma. I don't think the company is as screwed as the market makes it seem. Also, the "market" has not done the legwork of actually talking to users. - Everyone assumes saas / design is dead. Please take the above claim with a degree of speciousness. While much of the software economy is in a perilous position, it is still hard to create and maintain software. Joe Schmo's graphic design company will not vibe code an internal figma. Figma is actually a platform to create more software, has a strong eng team, and is still founder led. - What about Claude Code? What about it? Just because production code-gen is being commoditized, I don't think design is going anywhere. Enterprises have MASSIVE design systems used across entire org surfaces that are in Figma. In fact, almost no other tool comes close when it comes to maintaining a design system. One risk here is that Figma's relevance in the ai-coding age relies on their ability to maintain these designs in code; however, as the models get better they should be able to represent figma files as code to a higher degree of accuracy. Figma is model agnostic and as a result is largely stable despite the user volatility between openai and anthropic. - Can't people just code? They can. But in cases where economic value is tied to the design of an experience, the bottlenecks are 1) design inspiration 2) collaboration and 3) prototyping. Figma is de-facto for all 3. - What about startups like Paper, Pencil, Etc. competing with Figma?? Their biggest value prop is that they represent designs as code. While this sounds important, AGI is cheapening the value of code, and newer models + some eng effort from Figma should mean these startups get Microsoft Teams'd submitted by /u/perbhatk to r/figmaStock [link] [comments]

Figma will go bankrupt
Figma is losing millions of dollars per quarter and now with the launch of Google stitch they are officially cooked beyond recognition. While everyone thought Adobe would be killed by AI and Figma would take over Adobes spot it looks like Figma is about to go under way before Adobe ever dies. Takeaway: Buy more google just like Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway is doing and profit off the demise of these horrible companies. submitted by /u/goxpro1 to r/ValueInvesting [link] [comments]

Google just dropped Stich… and it might actually threaten Figma
Feels like this flew under the radar, but Stich from Google looks like a real competitor, not just another design tool. It’s faster, smarter, and removes a lot of the friction we’re used to. Less clicking, more actual designing. Some of the automation already feels ahead of what we currently rely on. Hot take: if this keeps evolving, the current market leader might start to feel outdated. submitted by /u/xPixelpusher to r/FigmaDesign [link] [comments]

In 2026 I will ditch Figma the second I can
This app is in the last stage of enshittification. It used to have a few bugs here and there that are annoying but now it's barely useable. Stuffed full of AI horseshit that I can do better elsewhere while the core functionality I rely on gets worse and worse. My experience using this app day to day is downright abysmal. I was once a lover and a fanboy who found joy using the app, now I am a certified hater who will bail the second I can and will convince my org to do so. I now place Figma in the same categor as Spectrum and Comcast when it comes to customer happiness. And no offense to support but I can't spend half my work week reporting bugs, recording logs/videos, and emailing back and forth just to end up with an "engineering is aware" result. /rant EDIT: Some specifics for the people: 10 to 20 second delays after making a single component update (like change a letter of text), prototypes locking up my juiced macbook m2 (cpu/gpu 100%), constant bugged instances you have to click into layers to fix, stubborn update/publish loop where you have to restart in order to either have publish alerts go away and/or updates get recognized, persistent scroll bugs (the art board will just auto scroll or glitch reposition on its own)... that's just off the top of my head but there is more if I peel back through my support emails. submitted by /u/tentaclebreath to r/FigmaDesign [link] [comments]

Hot take: "the Figma is dead" crowd are mostly people who weren't great at design to begin with
I'm starting to get convinced that the "Figma is dead" crowd are mostly people who weren't great at design to begin with, or developers excited that they can now produce something passable without a designer. That's a different thing than design being dead. For clarity, I utilize these AI tools and workflows myself and am not opposed to them. I'm just tired of these hyperbolic takes that are rampant throughout our industry right now. submitted by /u/alsaltml to r/UXDesign [link] [comments]

Figma is becoming irrelevant and designers are in denial about it
Figma was necessary when translating design to code was hard. You needed pixel-perfect mockups, design systems, components, all that structure because developers needed exact specs Now AI just builds what you describe. The whole design-to-code handoff problem that Figma solved? Basically gone I used to spend hours in Figma setting up auto-layout, making components reusable, perfecting spacing. Now I just describe what I want in sleek, get screens in 10 minutes, and AI codes it directly. The Figma step is completely unnecessary for prototyping "But design systems!" - okay, for massive products with 10+ designers, sure. But for 90% of projects? MVPs, side projects, small startups? You don't need Figma's complexity "But collaboration!" - yeah if you have a whole design team. Most builders are solo or small teams. The collaboration features are overkill Figma is optimizing for a workflow that doesn't exist anymore. Designers are holding onto it because it's what they know, not because it's actually the best tool for the job in 2026 The future is describe what you want, AI generates it, AI builds it. Figma sits in the middle adding steps Designers are gonna be mad at this but I think we're watching Figma become the Photoshop of app design - still used by pros out of habit, but being replaced by faster tools for everything else Am I completely wrong or is everyone else seeing this shift too? submitted by /u/rash3rr to r/vibecoding [link] [comments]

good riddance, figma
it was never made for designers anyway. the design systems feature that put it on the map was made for design vps who haven’t actually designed anything in decades and were looking to justify their salaries by promising cost savings with design systems (i’ve never seen this actually materialize even in highly mature “top-tier” design teams. live collaboration features were made for anxious PMs and micromanaging design managers. they cluttered our inboxes and our canvases with their inane misinformed comments. the entire system made the UX profession worse at a time when we were just gaining recognition and were pushing for bigger picture improvements to user experience practices, accessibility, and web standards. instead, we were ghettoized into the frames and artboards of a tool that, despite being based on html and css flexbox, locked us into its proprietary format and made collaboration with engineering worse… right before coming up with “dev mode”- an ok solution to a problem of figma’s own making and was creates to sell extra seat addons rather than solve the root problem. i am enjoying watching this dumb tool flail into obscurity. bye, figma, you will not be missed. submitted by /u/floatymcboaty to r/UXDesign [link] [comments]

Figma is down 80% since IPO. Does anyone regret buying, or does anyone feel they dodged a bullet?
When Figma IPO’d, there was a lot of hype. It’s a great product, tons of designers use it, and it felt like one of those stocks you had to own. Now the stock is down about 80% from its IPO, and I’m wondering how people who bought in are feeling. Do you regret buying, or do you still believe in the company long term and see this as just part of the ride? For those who didn’t buy, does it feel like you dodged a bullet, or are you starting to think this might be a good chance to get in at a much lower price? With tech stocks getting hit hard and expectations coming back to earth, this seems like a good example of hype vs. reality. Curious to hear how everyone’s looking at it now. submitted by /u/stanxv to r/stocks [link] [comments]

There is no alternative to Adobe. Pirating is the way.
I work in design and i tell you, no other open source software is as near as good as adobe in terms of funcionality, compatibility, etc. Honestly i hope there was an alternative to photoshop and illustrator, i do (figma is a great example), but don't come at the people who work in the creative industry and tell us to "get back at adobe" using Corel or Gimp (real thing that i've been told). I don't know how it is in rich countries but here at the third world pirating is the only way to, not only study design careers but algo work freelance and eat. Its not a hobby for us, its our work tools. On the other hand, I understand that the effort must be collective, from all areas involved. I greatly appreciate the efforts of developers who put their all into creating excellent programs, and we should help as much as we can. But I also appreciate those who pirate these programs because without them, design would be reserved only for a few. submitted by /u/srenbry to r/Piracy [link] [comments]
