Suggestions for a high quality adaptogen blend?
Hello! I'm looking for an adaptogenic blend supplement that is good and high quality. Or even just a single adaptogen product that you swear by. Specific brand names would be most helpful. Thanks! ETA: looking for specific brand suggestions not just the general names of the herbs. I have taken adaptogens before I am just trying to find a brand that sells an adaptogen blend that is good quality. submitted by /u/NoTelevision970 to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Adaptogenic Drinks
Been in this space for a while, the thing most people don't realize is that mushroom dosing in a lot of these drinks is basically decorative. Happie actually hits 900mg lion's mane per can which is getting close to where you start feeling cognitive effects. Happy to share a link if allowed, but mostly just pointing it out because dosage actually matters here. submitted by /u/Realistic_Direction7 to r/MushroomCoffee [link] [comments]

cycling of adaptogens-specifaclly ashwaganda
Hello everyone, AW says we need to cycle licorice root which is an adaptogen. He does not discuss ashwaganda anywhere about cycling it. The reason I ask is because Medical science explains you have to cycle the ashwganda kind of like the licorice root otherwise it is not effective after a while, and the more concerning thing I read is it can cause bad liver damage if not cycled. ( this means take it for 8 weeks, then stop 2 weeks then resume same dosage after 2 week break period). There is lot of articles about it- not as much with licorice root though. Most regular people then switch to another one during the 2 weeks like rhodiola- which does not go well with me but is in the b12complex of vimergy I take daily already at a low dosage. Or people take chaga. Before MM I did use ashwaganda but a cheap brand name and did not cycle but it stopped being effective after couple months I increased the dosage (from 600 to 1200 mg- which was too high) than I had gotten scared something could happen since I read about it and liver damage so I had stopped. It help me quite abit before I got really sick but only lasted so long plus it had corn probably so that was causing adrenaline at the time. Now while on MM I take vimergy ashwaganda 0.75 dropperful- the quality is definetely better, and way cleaner supplement. It is crazy how the dosage it only like 220 mg and its so effective. AW does not say to cycle in Cleanse to Heal. In your experience has anyone cycled off it and taken a break? how long of strecth did you take it before taking a break? Did you notice a difference when you went back on?: I do have faith in the info but I honestly do not need more problems and my life is already hard trying to struggle through school and live in a bad living situation and do MM fat free and mono cleanse at same time, and some stuff is definetly true according to Medical Science so I am considering taking a break even though I know I am going to feel quite worse for 2 weeks. Edit:When I used to see 2 naturpoaths at one time they also warned me in the past about this- AW does say to listen to doctors to an extent. Anyway let me know what you think submitted by /u/StormFederal2551 to r/medicalmedium [link] [comments]

Are adaptogen drinks actually replacing alcohol for you — or just another trend?
Hi all! I’ve been trying to cut back on drinking and keep seeing adaptogen drinks(like Hiyo, Recess, and Kin) marketed as a “replacement” — like something to unwind with that isn’t alcohol. But I can’t tell if people are actually using them that way or if it’s just branding. For those of you who had before do you reach for them in situations where you would've had a drink? (after work, social stuff, etc.) Do they actually scratch that itch at all — or is it a totally different vibe? Have any of them felt worth the price compared to just making a mocktail or drinking tea/sparkling water? Would love to hear honest experiences! submitted by /u/Ok_Warthog8771 to r/cutdowndrinking [link] [comments]

Do Adaptogen Drinks do the Trick?
Hi all! I keep seeing adaptogen drinks all over my feed and at the grocery store lately and I really want to try them out as I heard they have some effects. I am kind of overwhelmed by all the options though. For those of you who have drank one before what do you actually look for in a good adaptogen drink? Are there specific ingredients like ashwagandha or whatever that actually do the trick and relax you or have some sort of effect? Also do they actually taste good or do you just power through it for the health benefits? What are the absolute best ones in your opinion and why? I noticed they are very pricy so want to be confident in my first choice. submitted by /u/Electrical-Shape-868 to r/nonalcoholic [link] [comments]

What Adaptogen Drink to Try?

For those of you who drink these regularly, what do you actually look for in a good adaptogen drink? Adaptogen help
I have been using ashwaganda for a few months for stress and anxiety. I don’t find a huge difference when taking them as I am still stressed. I have anxiety with day to day life, panicking, overthinking etc and sometimes find it hard to sleep or wake multiple times a night. Is there something else I can try which might give me better results? I’m not on any other medication. submitted by /u/Old_Squirrel2804 to r/adaptogens [link] [comments]

What are adaptogens?
Adaptogens are certain plants, roots and mushrooms that may help your body deal with stress, anxiety and fatigue. They help by balancing you out. Say you have chronic fatigue but low cortisol levels, they will raise the cortisol a bit to balance with the fatigue and of you have high cortisol levels they will bring those levels down. They can be added to food and beverages, taken as capsules, or in tinctures. My particular favorite is in my herbal tea! Reasons to take adaptogens inclued reducing anxiety, reducing fatigue/increasing energy levels, to help cope with trauma by regulating emotions related to stress, and to boost the immune system. Possible side effects may include abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, diarrhea and allergic reactions. Also make sure you know if the particular adaptogens your using are supposed to give you energy or not so you do not use them before bed! And always make sure to be aware of the interactions they may have with any current medications you may be taking, do not want them to interact in bad ways, and if your pregnant, always look into what your taking before consuming so no harm comes to you or your baby. Examples of adaptogens include: • Ashwagandha: may help reduce anxiety and depression. • Ginseng- (both american and Asian varieties) may help combat fatigue. • Reishi- may boost immune system and possibly help combat cancer cells. • Rholiola- may reduce fatigue, depression, and pain. • Schisandra- may help improve concentration, coordination, and endurance. • Tulsi (Holy Basil)- may increase focus, decrease anxiety, and boost immune system. These are just some notes i took while doing an online lesson recently and thought I would share. If you have any more info to add or see if anything needs correction, please let me know! Do you use adaptogens? Have they helped you in any way? I personally use Ashwagandha and reishi myself, holy basil is another im going to be trying out soon. submitted by /u/JadeChipmunk to r/beginnerherbalist [link] [comments]

Interested in canned NA cocktails that aren't adaptogenic
I've seen NA margaritas and palomas at Target recently, but I don't know anything about how good various brands are. I thought I'd come here for brand recommendations before making any purchases. A lot of these NA cocktails seem to be adaptogenic or functional and I'd prefer to just look for flavor. Any recommendations? submitted by /u/fake_jeans_susan to r/nonalcoholic [link] [comments]

Rhodiola, What are your takes on it, suggested doses and benefits you've experience from this adaptogen?
I've been reading a lot lately about rhodiola, i'm fascinated by it, it's resilience to develop in rough environments, all its benefits. I haven't tried it, just ordered some but wanting to know your experiences, takes and what do you like/dislike about it? submitted by /u/ReasonableArm388 to r/Biohackers [link] [comments]

Ranking sabores Tasty Adaptogen

Adaptogen powder brands that pull you out of the “can’t even”
Hi all, I’m hunting for adaptogens that actually do something when depression robs you of all motivation. I mean the kind where even getting out of bed feels like a negotiation with the universe. Mucuna and Blue Lotus seem to lift my mood a little, and a generic mushroom blend (Reishi, Agaricus, Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Chaga, Maitake, Shiitake) sometimes gives me the push to reclaim a sliver of purpose. But I never know which herb is really doing the work. I used to buy from Anima Mundi(as pre-blends comes in handy), but my budget is tighter this year, and I’d prefer small-batch or easy to experiment with, not huge jars I’ll never finish. Has anyone found blends or powders that actually help with that kind of low-motivation depression? Or do you just mix your own mini-blends at home? I’d love to hear what’s worked for you, or even just what hasn’t. Honestly, any tips that make getting out of bed feel even a little possible would be amazing. submitted by /u/Suspicious-Smoke-102 to r/herbalism [link] [comments]

Adaptogens changed my life
About me: Mid-30s working professional with family. Been dealing with stress/anxiety/depression for most of my life. Like really bad. And I know it's a huge issue that's being talked about more... thankfully. I've been taking supplements like Ashwagandha, L-Theanine, etc for years to take the edge off/calm me down. I stick to high quality products like Metagenics, Pure Encapsulations, First Holistic Wellness, and such. Adaptogens have been a game changer. Huge boost to my mood in combination with lifestyle changes (better eating, sleep, etc.). I wonder if anyone else has had similar results??? I opt for adaptogen-based blends now because it's less tracking and easier on the wallet. Still get the same effect. There are several brands out there but I've been taking a product called ZenAdren for the past few months. Price and quality were good and they have a good return policy. But there are other good ones out there too. Some tips for those new to space. - Quality matters! - Stacking is cool but blends are better imo if the dosages are good. - Friendly refund policies and free shipping are your friends - Treat supplements as a tool, not the solution. submitted by /u/anxiouslyexistential to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Adaptogens- what they are and which ones I use almost daily
Adaptogens are plant-based, extracts, herbs, etc that can help with stress and with performance. Please share yours and your experience! Lion's Mane: Listen, idk if I have adhd or only cptsd or what makes me unable to focus, but this mushroom (I take it in powder form) makes it all go away and saves my life for hours at a time. Whenever I take it I completely destress and just focus on my tasks. I also get inspired to go take a walk, go to the gym, take multiple showers, etc. Cannot recommend it enough. Rhodiola: It is my old faithful. I don't take it daily but when I do I notice a difference in stress levels on the long term. It is a great substitute for caffeine- especially in the afternoon as it does not intervene with sleep. I read once that Russians used it in the Olympics and haven't looked back since. Moringa: Has great antioxidants and it is nutritious. Great replacement for coffee and can give lots of energy. Perfect for cleaning days. Saffron: Studies say it can help with depression. I combine it with Rhodiola in my water bottle and drink it throughout the day. I never feel it working or anything (as much as Lion's Mane) but I notice a difference when I look back on days that I take it and days I don't. Valerian: I skipped this one for months and took magnesium and tart cherry juice (yes that cocktail from tik tok)- but recently I started using it again and it has cured my stress-induced insomnia in 4 days- even when I drink coffee past noon. Oolong Tea: (stronger green tea) So much better than coffee and with no crash. Pulls me through all-nighters or super late nights of work and does not stop me from sleeping after. It is great for digestion and reducing fat and all sorts of stuff. I calm down and focus whenever I take it- coffee has the opposite effect. Update- **White Tea: I looked this up based on the interest in teas and L-Theanine. White tea has less caffeine than oolong tea or green tea so I highly recommend it for stress. Someone also recommended Nettle Leaf tea (I didn't realize it helped also with stress!). I'm not on medication and not anti-science and encourage everyone to please be informed on whether these could intervene with your own medication. All of these can be found in your local health food store or Amazon. Saffron from Trader Joes is my top recommendation. submitted by /u/WhereasCommercial669 to r/CPTSDNextSteps [link] [comments]

Pode ter sido adulterado? submitted by /u/HolyCows34 to r/Maromba [link] [comments]

Been hearing a lot about “adaptogens” - thoughts?
I’ve been hearing this buzzword a lot lately and seeing lots of products (drinks, gummies, etc.) marketed as alcohol substitutes. Allegedly, these products calm you down like alcohol would without all the side effects. Definitely sounds too good to be true but I figured I’d ask if anyone has tried them. I’m tired of screwing myself over with alcohol. submitted by /u/ShadowMarionette to r/alcoholism [link] [comments]
