I made a Luigi's Mansion logo/font generator where you can type anything in the cover art style
Try it out here: https://pixelframe.design/luigis-mansion-font-logo-generator/ It doesn't use AI (just regular browser-based HTML and JS). You can type anything and it will generate text an image that you can download styled like the Luigi's Mansion logo (with multiple background options). I've also made others based other games (Kirby, Mario, etc) if you like this one. submitted by /u/pixelframeDesign to r/casualnintendo [link] [comments]

Client shared AI generated logo to help me speed up the process, this is how I handled it
I do logo design projects once or twice a year, and over time I’ve built a solid proposal process to protect myself from scope creep. Hard lessons learned from clients who’ve scrapped entire directions at the final hour and expected free restarts. My standard process for branding (logo + basic color and typography guidelines): I present 2–3 options in the first iteration round, we lock a direction, then move into a second round to refine it. Both rounds are included in the base cost. Any additional rounds beyond that are billed separately. It’s worked well — most clients align within 1–2 rounds. Followed the same process with a new client. Second round came and went, they weren’t happy. I informed them that any further rounds would be billed as additional work. Two days later, they sent me a completely new color palette and an AI-generated logo (Claude + ChatGPT) and said this is the final logo — could I just recreate it in the original color palette for a side-by-side comparison? I was furious. But I stayed calm and focused on finding a solution rather than reacting emotionally. We had a long conversation over text. Their reasoning? They used my first-round options as reference to “speed up my process and make finalization easier.” They didn’t want to pay for the extra work because, in their words, the ideation was already done — so there wasn’t much left for me to do. I held my ground on a few points: 1. They cannot use my work samples to generate AI derivatives — that’s a usage rights issue. 2. If they’ve already finalized everything, they can send me the vector files and I’ll apply the new colors. Simple. 3. When they said they didn’t know how to make vector files, I pointed out that if they figured out how to generate and finalize a logo, they can take it to completion themselves. 4. Retracing an AI-generated logo in Figma or Illustrator is still skilled work and effort — and I will be billing it. They eventually backed down with the classic “I wasn’t aware of this process, but I’ll know for next time — can you just help this once?” There is no next time. If I open a tool and draw a single stroke, I’m charging for it. I’m not offering free labor because an AI apparently did my job. Lesson learned: I’m adding stronger clauses to my proposals around AI-generated work and client-supplied assets going forward. Has anyone else run into this? How did you handle it? submitted by /u/Forsaken-Demand-1604 to r/graphic_design [link] [comments]

Currently, what's the best (free) generator for logos?
For a small research project, my team wanted to have a logo, but previous attempts with ChatGPT didn't work all that well: trying to get some changes resulted in reaching the "5 images per day limit" and overall the logo wasn't much of a logo, just a cartoonish picture. We don't have any subscriptions and have no funds for that (it's mostly for fun, not really necessary). So, even if most free GenAIs are not that great for logos, which one tends to get best (or least worst) results? submitted by /u/seb-knight to r/generativeAI [link] [comments]

Local resistance logos. No AI. No star wars.
Hello. I am an Abq native, a registered tribal member, and artist. I occasionally dabble in graphic design as a hobby. Someone was asking about the roadrunner icon just a little earlier, like the stunning loon that was made for MN. While I agree that it is cool, we aren't them, and I keep seeing AI generated images get used. I keep seeing the same star wars rebellion motifs. It's lazy and silly, respectively. I have created some versions of anti fascist action logos more related to our great state that are recognizable simple in shape and design for easy reproduction made by a human using established imagery. I have a standard antifa flag symbol with our state flag and colors added, and two variants of the three arrow symbol, which while it has changed over the years, was made to deface swastikas and generally now represents anti fascism, capitalism, and clericalism. I have one with simplified roadrunners and another as a pueblo representation of a storm cloud with rain. People, don't use AI. Please take of these, use them. Make your own. Put out ideas for people with the ability to make them if you must. If anyone locally wants to make these or similar on shirts or materials, by all means, I just ask that you reach out first. I'd rather if anyone like them that they be made by someone in the community that also supports said community. Anyone asking why the standard circles aren't being used as a springboard for a Zia, I have made some of those too, but after consideration I am leaving them from here as Zia is not my pueblo, and the symbol isn't meant to contain an image inside the circle, and I choose to honor that. https://preview.redd.it/4cb8b2paurfg1.png?width=4000&format=png&auto=webp&s=c3c7ebe9cccc25f6e38431fc2877f84e2a2ed487 https://preview.redd.it/std2a6paurfg1.png?width=4096&format=png&auto=webp&s=10b1137c50f299cab7d2cd5007f85b07783414bf https://preview.redd.it/7f41r1paurfg1.png?width=2160&format=png&auto=webp&s=b33dc80f1a095102724bbcfdcfa486968ab2ff56 submitted by /u/Hello_Droogie to r/Albuquerque [link] [comments]

Gen Z that graduated high school before generative AI are not the same as Gen Z who went to high school with generative AI
For those of us who also did the first half of college without it, I know a lot of us are infuriated with the incoming classes that are using it to write papers for College Writing I & II classes. Those classes exist to develop one’s writing skills, and these students are lowering the value of our degrees. I’ll AI to edit by copying and pasting the paper I wrote into ChatGPT and asking it what it thinks I could improve, like a peer review, and then I edit the paper myself based on those suggestions. But some of these kids are letting AI do everything for them, and getting nothing out of the classes they take. It’s about getting through for them, not about learning, growing, and developing skills, which should be the point of school. This portion of Gen Z also doesn’t remember the time before iPhones and they don’t remember the Obama election. While I did have Instagram at 12, it was the version where you just posted pictures for fun and followed friends, there wasn’t an influencer culture and the logo was still a brown and beige camera. When I started high school, TikTok was a song by Kesha. A few people had musical.ly, and it was a silly thing. Short form video content was mostly still just dance videos during my senior year, which most of us didn’t even care to consume. That was, at least, until the pandemic hit right at the end of that school year. Genuinely, kids born after mid year 2004 feel like a different group, with a few 2005-2006ers being exceptions. And this lines up perfectly with the release of ChatGPT in late 2022, when those kids would have been juniors and seniors in high school. It also lines up with the intense rise of and change in TikTok culture while they were still in high school, as well as being exposed to influencer culture and enshittification of the internet at a younger age. The 2007-2012 Gen Zers were 8-13 when the pandemic hit, it didn’t even impact high school for them. It didn’t hit when they were supposed to be learning how to maneuver the adult world, and they were still kids when political polarization went haywire. I’m sure that brings its own unique challenges that I haven’t imagined. Normally generations are defined by time periods, but the massive cultural change that has occurred in the past 20 years needs to be accounted for. submitted by /u/AnomalousEnigma to r/generationology [link] [comments]

AI-generated 2nd hand synth images - buyers beware
Wanted to buy a second hand Typhon the other day, this is the pic the seller sent me after I asked them for a pic with the current date. Notice anything off about it? I definitely had to check twice, and only really realized it after seeing the Google Gemini logo in the lower right corner - pic is AI-generated of course. The Beaver’s Den using an AI logo. Thoughts?
Recently, I noticed the Brewery on Quinpool has rebranded as “The Beaver’s Den” and started using this AI beaver. If it was just their socials, that’s one thing, but they also are using it on the signs outside the restaurant. I think it’s incredibly lazy to use ChatGPT to generate a logo for you, tbh. The first image is their logo. You can tell it’s AI for a couple of inconsistencies. The circle’s line above the beaver’s tail is missing. The collar of the tuxedo isn’t symmetrical, with the right side having a nonsensical shadow. The lighter fur on the beaver’s mouth isn’t symmetrical and the teeth are centred. The second image is one I had ChatGPT generate using this exact prompt: “Can you generate a cartoon image of a beaver in a tuxedo, holding a martini in one hand and a beer in the other? I want him to be smiling and look friendly but not too cutesy. I want to use it for the logo. In colour.” submitted by /u/Last_Thursday to r/halifax [link] [comments]

Received an AI generated worksheet from therapist today
Hi everyone, I am currently enrolled in a partial hospitalization program/PHP for my anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues I’ve been having. I just finished my fourth day. Most of the time has been spent in group settings so far. This afternoon the therapist leading our group was discussing mindfulness and handed us two worksheets to fill out while we went on a “scavenger hunt” walk. I filled out the one for the indoors since it’s over 100 degrees outside 😭 I won’t share it here since I wrote on it, but imagine the same format, just for things to notice inside a room. We received a few other worksheets during this time as well. Near the end of the session one participant mentioned using ChatGPT to help make an action plan for goals, and the therapist said she used AI as well to make the worksheets. At first I was confused because I could see the logo from the website that was used for sheets we had just gotten, so I didn’t ask about it. But I did raise an eyebrow at the idea of using ChatGPT in a therapy setting. While on the drive home I realized it was these worksheets that were definitely AI generated!! The emojis, the — use, the random bold words… I felt like such an idiot for not realizing it sooner! Now I am not here to discuss the ethics of AI, and I’m truly unsure of where to share this post. I apologize if this is the wrong place for this discussion. I recognized the use of ChatGPT because I’ve used it myself before just to mess around. My issue is that I already struggle with mindfulness and now all I can think about is how weird it was to hand out generated worksheets rather than just making one. I paid a lot of money to be in this program and it feels like I’m getting shorted in a way. But my frustration isn’t so tangible that I feel terribly valid in complaining about this. It’s not like a therapist was feeding a LLM everything I was saying. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Is part of what I need to accept in this process the incoming technological changes coming? I understand some people use ChatGPT as a therapy tool and this isn’t exactly the same use, but couldn’t I just make one of these at home myself using AI? Thanks for any insight. submitted by /u/ParsnipDistrict to r/TalkTherapy [link] [comments]

an open letter against generative AI in the burning man community
In my own local/regional Burning community, the use of generative AI to create art for Burning Man is steadily increasing, from making silly camp-specific songs, to generating logos and promotional material for our burns. For me as an artist, and for many other members and artists of the community, this use of AI is devastating, for so many reasons. To me, using AI to generate "art" goes against many of the principles of Burning Man as a whole, and it's extremely upsetting that so many members of this amazing community do not understand the impact of using AI—on their community, on artists, and on the world. You do not have to agree with what's written in the letter, but I welcome you to read it and think about the impact of AI more. If you do agree with the letter, and that AI should not be used to generate "art" in the Burning Man community, please feel free to sign the letter to show our community that we not only value the work of real artists, but we denounce the ways that AI exploits artists, communities, and the environment. Thanks for your time y'all. Much love submitted by /u/gigla101 to r/BurningMan [link] [comments]

I was an artist and my job was taken by AI, today my mother asked me to generate an image for her
I was an artist since I was 15, since that age I started selling paid commissions. I was fairly known for my art style, used to get about 8k to 12k per month and lived off that, I'm physically disabled so finding jobs is difficult and remote jobs are mostly unknown in my small city. AI took my job last year, commissions stopped coming, clients that commissioned me plenty times were posting AI generated images on their profiles, haters made an AI with my exact art style when I posted against it on social media. Today I only make 2k to 4k on a good month. I deleted my social media and started working on a local shop that makes shirt designs, as well as working with logo design by myself. It's not even close to what I used to do, but I guess money os money. My mother was close to me during all this crisis, she asked me many times why I stopped drawing and I told her why again and again. Today she asked me to generate one of those studio ghibli images for her, I told her I wasn't gonna do it, that's the kind of stuff that stole my job and I don't wanna personally see the results. I sent her a tutorial on how to do if she still wants it so bad, but I personally won't. She got pissed and told me to grow up, that my old job wasn't her problem and she needed that image right now. I told her she didn't, she would live and she could do one by herself. It seems this spread and my aunt is telling me to work with AI instead of denying it's existence. This is so tiring, why would I work with something that crushed my dreams? I know no one cares about what I've been through, but I at least expected some decency of not asking me to work with it. Edit: I didn't expect to get so many supportive comments and messages, for that I'm so grateful! In my country, most common people seem to be in favor of AI so I was expecting to at least be criticized here, that gave me a little hope and I researched a bit and it seems in other areas of the world most people are against it, I'm so glad!! For those saying that this situation will circle around and human-made art will be searched for in the future: I really hope so. I used to work specifically with doing RPG art, I was commissioned a lot to make backgrounds, character design, art of whatever was happening currently, monster design etc and got to meet so many incredible and talented people, some of which also gave up due to AI. My hope is that, someday, I can once again fulfill my dreams of making more cool RPG art for other people! submitted by /u/SaruArtz to r/TrueOffMyChest [link] [comments]

CMV: instead of calling it “AI Art”, we should call it “AI Image Generation”
The word “art” is to narrow to describe what pops out of image generators like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney. “Art” typically refers to a type of creative work done by humans to evoke an emotion, or some other visceral reaction in the person who consumes it. Calling it “AI Art” makes it sound like something it’s not. There’s no mind, or creative intent behind a DALL-E image. It’s a rather mechanical process by which a computer program translates a string of text and some random noise into an image. It kind of seems like the program has a mind, because we have never seen something besides a human mind interpret text into an image in this way, but as we get used to it we will recognize that this is more of a parlor trick than an expression of artistic creativity and intent. A very fancy parlor trick, but a trick none the less. Further evidence which I believe to support my view: Compelling images are not necessary art, if they do not evoke an emotional response. For instance, we would not classify a company’s logo as art, because it is lacking artistic intent. Things which are beautiful and evoke emotion are not art if they lack artistic intent. For instance, a sunset, or a rock formation, or a plant which grows in a fractal pattern may be beautiful and affect the mind in an art-like way, but we don’t call it art because it’s essentially just a result of math and physics and not human expression. AI images are actually a lot like that. It could be the case that AI image generation is a tool artists can use to create art, but then it still doesn’t make sense to call the program an “AI art generator”, because that would be like attributing a painting to the brush rather than the painter. “AI image generator” is more precise and doesn’t lose anything except unjustified hype. submitted by /u/pragmojo to r/changemyview [link] [comments]
