Glass disappeares between frames. EEVEE Blender 4.5
Im working on animation and between frames the stain glass randomly gets fully transparent and don't show on render. There is no keyframes on the timeline. I tried changing the alpha but it ruins the lighting. Any idea how to fix it? submitted by /u/In_the_name_of_ART to r/blender [link] [comments]

Liquid Glass Animation for buttons broken
I'm trying to create a Liquid Glass Button -> Menu animation in iOS 26 but no matter what I try I cannot get the same animation that Apple gets in their ToolbarItems. The animation is either cropped or Liquid Glass does not render properly. I am unable to use the ToolBar as I need multiple of these buttons on different parts of the screen. Desired result (using native ToolBar and ToolBarItems): https://imgur.com/bZqTZsD I've tried a bunch of different methods but the main two issues are summarised below: Method 1 (glass effect directly on the Image): Result: The animation is broken and clipped. https://imgur.com/x1tmFgY VStack { Menu { Button("Test") { } Button("Test") { } Button("Test") { } } label: { Image(systemName: "fuelpump") .font(.system(size: 18, weight: .regular)) .frame(width: 60, height: 60) .glassEffect(.regular.interactive()) } } Method 2 (glass effect on the Menu): Result: The Liquid Glass button "pops" in' https://imgur.com/nxksVHb VStack { Menu { Button("Test") { } Button("Test") { } Button("Test") { } } label: { Image(systemName: "fuelpump") .font(.system(size: 18, weight: .regular)) .frame(width: 60, height: 60) } .glassEffect(.regular.interactive()) } submitted by /u/benjanic to r/iOSProgramming [link] [comments]

Any advice on poltergeist or demonic?
Last year I had some wild experiences with my fiancee at the time. It was intense lasted for weeks and followed us everywhere we went. After it stopped I moved. Just moved back this month and the same thing has started happening again. I got so scared that I actually started going to church for the first time ever. I try to ignore it but it shakes my bed. Touches me, makes my body ache. This thing like shows illusions thru glass and mirror reflections and in shadows but also shows up physically. It seems to want to trick me into coming to it. Also hear thrown sounds and loud bangs and animal noises. Would like to have my footage and pictures looked at for EVPs but dont kno where to start. Most of my pictures come from going frame by frame thru my videos. Any advice welcome thanks. Also i have much more footage etc. submitted by /u/sweetsuffering92 to r/Paranormal [link] [comments]

Crying Obsidian Can be Used to Make One Way Nether Portals.
Suggestion also thought of by u/MCjossic. Their post Crying Obsidian Nether Portal Entering a crying obsidian nether portal spawns the player in the other dimension without spawning in new crying obsidian blocks Crying obsidian nether portals do not connect to normal nether portals and vise versa A portal is still spawned in the other dimension, however it will decay over the course of 30 seconds. The decaying portal uses the block breaking animation to show how long until the timer runs out Decaying portals can be broken, and have the same durability as glass. Breaking one block breaks all connected blocks, similar to scaffolding Players can use the decaying portal to travel back to the original portal. The decay timer will be paused when a player is using the decaying portal Decaying portals will load chunks until they complete their timer Decaying portals cannot spawn more decaying portals. If a player uses a decaying portal, but the original portal has been destroyed, the player will spawn in the other dimension without spawning a decaying portal Decaying portals spawned by mobs do not load chunks Decaying portals cannot be used by mobs Edit: Wow so I guess this blew up a little bit. Thank you all for the engagement and contributing your ideas :) I thought of some alternative ways the feature could be implemented: Ominous Flint and Steel Ominous Flint and Steel can only be obtained during or after the Nether in progression When used on a regular nether portal frame, a different coloured portal will spawn This portal functions the same as the one described above Potion of Banishment The Potion of Banishment can be crafted by placing a crying obsidian block (or maybe a new item) on top of at least one Awkward Potion in a brewing stand The potion looks like the swirly texture of Nether portals Drinking the potion takes the same amount of time as using a nether portal, and uses the same animation and sound effects. Players can stop drinking the potion at any time, and the potion will not be wasted Finishing the potion's drinking animation consumes the potion and leaves an empty bottle in it's place The effect is that the player is sent to the Nether if they're in the Overworld, and into the Overworld if they're in the Nether. No return portal is spawned when the effect is triggered Potions of Banishment spawn as loot in the Nether, but are as rare as finding 10 obsidian blocks Option 1 Potions of Banishment cannot be made into splash potions, lingering potions or tipped arrows Option 2 Potions of Banishment can be made into splash potions, lingering potions and tipped arrows The effect is instantaneous for splash potions and tipped arrows. The effect triggers over time for lingering potions The effect is temporary and a status called "Banished" is displayed like any other potion effect (the regular bottle version does not apply Banished, and is permanent) When the timer runs out on the effect, the Player or Mob returns to the dimension where they received the effect submitted by /u/Aggravating_Bobcat67 to r/minecraftsuggestions [link] [comments]

Apple software doesn’t feel like Apple software anymore
Do Apple even test their software before releasing it to the STABLE branch nowadays? I remember using iOS 15 developer beta on my main device, had never encountered a single bug back then. Yet 26.2 feels not just unstable, more like unusuable. Why is it released for everyone when it should clearly be in late developer/early public beta state? My 16 pro lags on home screen, app opening animation glitches so frequently, letting me see this white “no icon” template, AOD has started to give me inhumane frame drops(ended up turning it off), not to mention constant respirings and stock app(especially Notes and Music) crashes. The anim of opening a list inside of another list(e.g setting a filter to show only videos in the photos app) never plays the right way, frustrating as hell in daily usage. And why does the unlock animation freezes mid screen every time? Why doesn’t it continue inertially like it did since iOS 11? On iPadOS it’s even worse. Apps in the dock simply stop opening randomly, yet the taps on their icons are still being registered. The window management system is chaotic. Instead of listening to customers and doing such basic things like adding clipboard or fixing lifelong issue with hotspot turning off by itself on iOS, you release a whole new OS family which barely boots up even on the newest devices(unironically, have you seen the transition from glass Apple logo to “hello” when the device enters OOBE right after unpacking?… It plays at ≈10 fps if not freezes at all) Apple isn’t about “details” anymore. Not even the most surface things are working properly now. And the design philosophy? Where’s the logic and the UX understanding Apple had always had? Why does a computer and a mobile phone have the same UI design? Why does a tablet try to copy computer’s UX? submitted by /u/Ok-Capital-5195 to r/ios [link] [comments]

How can I exactly replicate the "Glass" look and micro-animations of native Toolbar buttons in a custom SwiftUI View?
Hi everyone, I am new to Swift. I am building a custom header/toolbar for my app because I need a specific layout that the standard .toolbar modifier can't handle. However, I am struggling to replicate the exact look and feel of the native iOS toolbar buttons (like the circular "X" close button you see in Apple Maps or standard Sheets). The goal: I want my custom buttons to have: The same "Glass/Blur" material background. The exact same "squish" scale animation when pressed. The same haptic feedback and responsiveness. Minimal Example: Here is a simplified view showing what I'm trying to do. ```swift struct CustomSearchToolbar: View { var body: some View { HStack(spacing: 8) { // 1. LEFT BUTTON (I want this to look/feel Native) Button(action: { print("Close") }) { Image(systemName: "xmark") .font(.system(size: 14, weight: .bold)) .foregroundColor(.black) .frame(width: 32, height: 32) .background(Color.white) // submitted by

Slow rendering for 180 frames animation
Hi, I have been trying to render an animation of a small scene with a glass slab with text on it. Though the cycles is set to GPU OPTIX, it is taking a lot of time to render like 40 seconds to 1 minute per frame. If it helps, my specs are 32 GB RAM, RTX 5060 8GB and i7 14700HX. Flicking light behind glass in animation

Problem: Flickering light behind glass in an animation. Best seen in the video provided. I know the reason causing this problem; Every single frame calculates the light behind the glass and when denoising it takes an average and produces the final image for the frame. Resulting in a different average per frame and flickering when turning it into a video. Solutions found but not suitable (and I think this could be solved differently): - Changing the render resolution to much higher, therefor having a larger area to take the avarage from. -> This slows down rendering larger animation enormously... - Using lighting where the lightsource is not directly visible in the camera view (indirect lighting) -> doesn't work in my case and I feel like there should be a different solution. - Denoising after rendering the image sequence. -> I don't know how to denoise a video format. + I want to not have to change this constantly. I'm switching from single image to animation a lot within the same file. Added are some screenshots of my render settings and the lighting source settings. The video shows clearly the difference between the lighting behind glass and directly. If there is more information needed, I can provide. I hope this post gets the right attention. Read carefully, I've tried already quite some stuff. submitted by /u/Top-Butterscotch5688 to r/blenderhelp [link] [comments]

I think I may have decoded the meaning of "Carbide to my nano" in Emergence
So this is my own interpertation as an engineer so it may be tad biased, but I think its still very possible considering the guys do like mentioning chemical and technological topics like in the song "aqua regia" Anyway, first its important to see the reference to carbide in combination to the adjacent statements. Are you carbide on my nano, Red glass on my lightbulb Dark light on my culture, Sapphire on my white gold Are you carbide on my nano, The carbide is not a thing of its own, in laymans terms carbide is carbon added to certain mettalic elements to make them harder. One of the most popular and manufactured carbide is silicon carbide, silicon carbide is widely used in semiconductors and its actually an integral part in LEDs, Light Emmiting Diodes. Another explanation would be Silicon carbide nanowires, that would fit better the entire phrase, silicon nanowires are used in all sorts of electronic devices especially devices involving light and high power applications, this would go along with the writter considering himself as some sort of electronic device. Please note down that silicon carbide is usually found in Green color. The next line: Red glass on my lightbulb Guess what glass is? glass is actually silica, this basically settles the fact that the carbide in question is silicon carbide. Please note that the lightbulb is the precursor to LEDs and also note the color mentioned RED Again the writter mentions the lightbulb as a part of him as if he is some sort of electric device. The following line: Dark light on my culture. Initially, other than the outright reference to light it doesnt seem to fit the pattern, but actually this the most incredible and beautiful metaphor of all of them, and I actually believe this metaphor was the core that the other three were insipired and based on. So you see, dark light makes no sense unless its light that is outside the human visible spectrum, so basically its invisible light, the human eye cannot see light frequencies that too high or too low, those are called Ultraviolet and infared. So the writter is saying this light shines and reveals his culture, his culture is dark, obscure and esoteric, but that invisible light is making the writters culture visible and "it exposes it", much like how we use ultraviolet light to see all kinds of hidden things like hidden scripts on banknotes, humans also use this light to see things in the micro and nanoscopic scale, we use them to see things in the dark too, (night vision goggles etc) Whats more, leds emmit both of those lights, for example the led on your remote control that controls the tv is an infared led. This phrase could also just dovetail to the previous statement about a red lightbulb, a dark room with only red lights (kinda like infared) that is used to develop something that is obscure and invisible like a old style phography film. Another user provided some feedback by giving me the following lyircs from the song Higher that go like: “cuz I look for scarlet and you look for ultraviolet” Scarlet being intense red just like infared, and ultraviolet being well... ultraviolet, basically two types of radiation that are in the opposite side of the light spectrum and both invisible to the human eye, the writter uses two radiatons that are in the complete opposite to emphasize how he and the other person are looking for completely different things. I think this just shows that the writter is definetely well aclaimed of this sort of stuff and the dark light mentioned here is almost surely light outside our visible spectrum Finally we have this phrase: Sapphire on my white gold Sapphire is Blue, thats the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of sapphires a really shiny and flashy blue color, whats more sapphire is basically aluminum oxide another building block to LEDs, aluminum oxide is very similar to silicon carbide actually, both elements being extremely hard and only beaten in hardness by Diamonds both substances used in abrrasives, and actually, in almost every led in excistence, the gallium substrate inside them is either made by sapphire or silicon. Then there is a reference of gold that is White, furthermore gold and its alloys (which are often white) is widely used in all sorts of electronic circuits and "integrated hardware you cannot afford", even on leds, a callback to the song aqua regia, aqua regia being a substance known for its ability to disolve gold. In this metaphor too, he describes white gold as a part of him, all the writer does in those 4 metaphors is trying to guess if x thing is part of him, if it "completes him" and if he is consisted of it. So now lets add all the colors We have * Red from the light bulb * Green from the silicon carbide * Blue from the sapphires * White, from the gold, (white is the combination of the aformantioned colors) * And invisible light (ultraviolet, infared) We basically have RGB and all the colors a LED can display, now it could also be a reference to leds in mass like the array of rgb pixels that make an lcd (or O-LED) screen and produce an image when the LED backlight shoots at them. And im leaning to believe its the later, because if you go back and read the lyrics to aqua regia, everything clicks in place And these days I'm a picture frame Screaming at the sunshine, singing in the rain ^ The screen of your phone or your computer or your tv, thats a picture frame, whats more this device talks to you, its animated, it literally produces sound and sings at you, its the medium sleep token reaches out to you. after the reference to the picture frame the writter litterally mentions silicon and subatomic interactions, which is close to nanoscale. Silicon ballrooms Subatomic interactions if it's all good There it is laid out. I would normally post this on genious.com but they wont let me, so im posting it here. English is not my primary language and i wrote this without autocorrect because reddit advanced editor is weird so excuse any mistakes. [WIP] Show us ya WIP's
Happy Sunday! No stitching happened here this week. No reddit happened here this week. My phone did an auto update and havoc ensued. Apps didn't work, passwords didn't work. Ended up at the phone store having to have professional help to get everything fixed. But now we're good! I did get all my Christmas project supplies this week so I'll actually have a fighting chance of being done on time this year. The long run plan is to stitch the projects then make stained glass frames for each. That may be pushing it, but I'm gonna go ahead and dream big! I also took a couple hour road trip with my daughter this week for, of all things, pickles and raisins. It was a must. Today, I'm settled in the recliner and ready to stitch. No place to go. No one to deal with except the animals so it's all about me, my stitching and my coffee today. And maybe some pickles and raisins. Lol Since I didn't stitch this week, there's no progress photo instead it's my Christmas project supplies. How was your week? Let's see what everyone is working on! submitted by /u/Doubledewclaws to r/CrossStitch [link] [comments]

Calling all Baltimore animation fans! "Pioneers of Animation" at Beyond the Frame movie club May 24
We had a great turnout at last month's Beyond the Frame movie club! We watched Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller "Sabotage" plus the surprise short film "Norman Nurdlepick's Suspension", a comic tribute to the Master of Suspense. This month, we're screening a program of ten animated short films that all showcase different innovations in the art of animation, including the character animation of Winsor McCay, Ub Iwerks, Disney and Fleischer, abstract experiments by Norman McLaren and Oskar Fischinger, Lotte Reiniger’s silhouette cut-outs, stop-motion by Ladislas Starevitch and Jan Svankmajer, and CGI from Pixar, all presented in 16mm prints from the Enoch Pratt Free Library film collection. It's free to attend and no registration is required. The movies run about 80 minutes total, and there will be time to hang out after the show, chat about the films and connect with a community of movie lovers. Here are the details: Beyond the Frame: Pioneers of Animation Saturday May 24, 2025, 1-3PM Enoch Pratt Free Library – Central Branch (400 Cathedral St., Baltimore) First Floor Maker Space (located directly behind the Best & Next department) FREE / No Registration Required submitted by /u/low_budget_visions to r/baltimore [link] [comments]

Need advice on acquiring specific frames from anime.
Hi. I'd like some old school anime wall hangings, I'm thinking canvas or glass/acrylic. What makes it basically impossible to find is that the artwork I'd like is mostly very specific frames from anime. For example, the dive bar the capsules hang out at in Akira, or the shot of Jubei noticing Mushiro in the bamboo thicket from Ninja Scroll. Can anybody advise on how I could acquire individual frames digitally in the best quality that could be turned into the artwork formats I mentioned above? I feel like if I were to just stream one of the movies and pause it I probably wouldn't get the best quality, right? submitted by /u/Financial_Spell7452 to r/anime [link] [comments]

[TOMT] [Youtube Channel] Video game review series. Mainly focusing on Nintendo and other nostalgia games. Host has dark framed glasses.
I'm trying to look up a channel that I used to watch that I seemed to forgot about until just recently. The channel is just like Scott the Woz, Antdude, NakeyJakey, and Stop Skeletons From Fighting where they do deep discussions on certain video games or series in 10ish minute videos. The channel had a host (name started with A i think, possibly Alex but I could be wrong.) The host was Caucasian. had brunette hair, dark framed glasses, and possibly in his late 20s or 30s. I want to say he looks like an older Scott the Woz. The host also made purple the primary color of his channel where his profile picture had him standing in purple background and his show opening had an animated opening with a purple background. This channel was fairly popular. I think he had 500k-1 million subscribers. submitted by /u/robinj555 to r/tipofmytongue [link] [comments]

What do you think feels normal now, but in 20 years we will look back on and think was totally strange?
For me it's just being so used to very dim computer screens, that you really need to be enclosed in a dark office space to use your screen and not have eye strain. Very bright screens are so friggin expensive and totally not the norm. Even using a phone or laptop outside on a nice sunny day is totally unbearable. We are not vampires - how can this be normal? _______________________ edit @ 23hrs: (Note about E-Ink below - lets get it happening people!) This post seems to have quite a bit of attention which is great! Lots of nice ideas - mostly pretty optimistic except for some scary climate change related concerns. Hopefully these don't turn out as bad as some of us fear. Some of the few highlights I took away (although some of these might be too optimistic for the 20 years time-frame): Medicine and in particular chemotherapy hopefully will improve or become obsolete with better treatments Genomic sequencing tech - hopefully will get better and cheaper bringing medical advances Plastics - hopefully we find a way to end use of this toxic stuff Wired charging and cords everywhere -wireless future hopefully? Treatment of animals / factory farming Politics stuff Driving cars Working insane hours for little pay The example I gave about the screens being hard to use in daylight seems to have been surprisingly controversial. I took it for granted that most screens are hard on your eyes in full sunlight. Yet many people seem to think this isn't an issue at all. Maybe worth noting: I do not have any problem with my eyes or turning up brightness on my devices. The problem is very obvious when comparing a Dell monitor (model P2319H: made in Nov 2021) with my Macbook Air (2024). The Dell (250 nits brightness) is virtually useless in my current office with an unusually large north-facing window. The macbook is not bad (500 nits brightness), but still crap under full sun. Keep in mind I am from a city with a lot of sunlight (Perth Australia). Three take aways from this: A lot of you guys either live near the north pole, or just dont go outside very much. Seriously try and use your devices to do some reading on a nice sunny morning sitting outside for a while and see how hard it is with glare and reflection. Devices are getting better but I dont think it's as good as you think it is. A lot of people dont know about e-ink technology / front-lit screen as opposed to back-lit displays. I hope this tech booms in the next decade or two. Lastly - the sun is actually good for you! Just dont overdo it. Be brave and go outside sometimes. To quote Andrew Huberman "Getting sunlight in your eyes is crucial, and doing so through a window is about 50 times less effective than being outside without any barriers such as windows or sunglasses. This is because glass windows filter out certain wavelengths of light that are important for setting circadian rhythms." _______________________ Cheers from Perth! submitted by /u/shifty_fifty to r/Futurology [link] [comments]

「Glass Animals」
Namesake: The indie-rock band Glass Animals Stand User: Agnes-Lucky Blue Appearance: Glass Animals has a body made up of loosely fitting multicolor 3D shapes. The shapes altogether form the shape of a humanoid, but headless upper body. The shoulders of the stand are framed with a two-headed, purple-red crystalline snake that hangs off of them. One head is black, and the other is white. Despite the stand appearing like it's made of multiple parts, it cannot disassemble itself. Ability: Glass Animals has the ability to generate a material with properties like non-newtonian fluids from the snake on its body.. How the material reacts to stress changes based on which snake head creates it. The black head makes material that becomes 'harder' and more viscous the more force is applied. The white head makes material that becomes 'thicker' and more difficult to pass through the more force is applied. Glass Animals can freely manipulate the shape of the materials it creates so long as it is holding them. Once released, they will persist in that shape regardless of if Glass Animals holds them again. This allows it to create crude objects or weapons out of the material. The material Glass Animals creates will dissipate if they leave the its range. Stats: Power: C Speed: D Range: C (11 meters) Durability: D Precision: C Potential: A Weaknesses: Lack of force. The black-head and white-head material become softer and thinner respectively when less force is applied to them. A particularly precise or well-controlled stand could circumvent their property's threat. Glass Animals is incredibly easier to overpower, even if it is wielding a weapon. Closing the distance allows for an easy victory against it. Knowing which head was used to create what material makes getting around its ability even easier. submitted by /u/bestassinthewest to r/fanStands [link] [comments]

Having glasses is not horrible and I don't understand why some non-glasses havers treat it so
I've had glasses from almost a decade and I've grown quite used to them. I even think they look quite nice on me. People without glasses will never understand the pleasure of taking off your glasses when you're overstimulated, like on the way back from a long night out, in the car talking to your friends, and all you see is beautiful bokeh lights from the cars and street lights. I also HATE dirty bathrooms and cannot stand looking at grime, green buildup etc and the ability to take off my glasses and basically see none of that has been a blessing so far. I live in a better house now but a few years ago, as a kid, I would be so repulsed to use the sink and bathroom that I would skip brushing my teeth. Most people don’t understand this but it’s a genuine phobia of dirty bathrooms. Now, people that aren't even my family, people who have nothing to do with me are constantly on me about getting LASIK. And when I decline they call me a coward or continue pushing their pro-lasik propaganda down my throat. I also work in the design field and I need to be able to see things CRYSTAL CLEAR. Every detail. Colors. Line sharpness. I need to be able to keep my eyes open for quite long, unblinking, looking at big booba anime girls to see if everything looks right. While I understand LASIK will cure my near sightedness, if I can already see CRYSTAL CLEAR with my glasses on, why the hell would I risk losing that due to LASIK. Literally some people cannot leave you alone and will continue pestering you about issues that don't even bother them. I have -7 in both eyes which is quite high. But I don’t mind needing glasses. I care about my work and my work only. I will actually lose many privileges I have right now due to having glasses. Being able to tune out when you're being yelled at, taking off your glasses when something repulsive is in view, taking them off when you're overstimulated, etc. Being able to see in 20/20 has always been a burden to me. It is way too much to handle and it is an information overload. Like Karen, if I explained all of this to you, you won't even listen anyways. So why the hell are you going on and on and on abut how your son Jeff got it done and now he looks so much nicer without glasses, or how your nephew Chad got Lasik and how other than dry eyes, he can see so well? I DON'T WANT TO SEE SO LEAVE ME ALONE. I'd say anybody who says shit like "glasses make you look unattractive" or "you look soo nice without glasses!" etc are ableists and bigoted. Like we need them to see. Glasses can look very nice on people with the right frame and size. Edit: thank you everyone for your insight. You’re right. The men commenting on my looks because of glasses, and non-glasses havers pushing lasik on me just so “I can look prettier” are just the loud minority. I’m glad to see such a huge glasses acceptance. submitted by /u/couchdrawer to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]

You know every stat about every person you meet. How many strawberries had this person eaten? 1597. What’s the longest this man has gone between saying hello? ‘He said hello at 11:18am on Thursday November 8th and did not say hello again until Tuesday 13th at 11:52. 5 days 0 hours and 34 minutes’
T’s and C’s: 1) You need to be in physical presence of target to see their stats 2) Stats appear above their head like a name plate 3) You have to request a stat in your mind, but it does not have to be verbally asked. 4) This power can not provide any more information other than the result of the query but can be as specific as you like. ‘How many time has subject eaten something tomato flavoured on a Tuesday whilst wearing green’ 5) This power can be used for mystery solving if the right questions are asked. If you ask ‘did subject kill John’ no stat will he given, but if you ask ‘how many Johns has subject killed’ it will produce a result. 6) Results will only be shown in raw number form, this power cannot tell you ‘how often’ someone does something or give a percentage. 7) Subjects do not know you have requested a stat unless told 8) if the stat requested is sexual in any way, result will read ‘69’ (or ‘6969’ for higher totals), then read ‘nice’ before recalculating and displaying the correct total. 9) Totals will constantly update unless a specific time frame is requested 10) You can see your own stats in the mirror if asked 11) any creature can be queried, including animals and insects 12) the dead can have their stats read 13) this power works through glass Will add more if they come to me... hit me with those random stat requests! submitted by /u/CyranoYoshi to r/godtiersuperpowers [link] [comments]

Dev Workshop: Warframes Revisited
SOURCE -- [DE]Connor Hail Tenno! With big plans for 2018, it seemed like an appropriate time to revisit a core element of Warframe - the Warframes themselves! We spent most of January reading your feedback and analyzing gameplay stats, and as February kicks off we have some plans to share! Each Warframe's stats and ability kits combine into a unique entity that offers different strengths and weaknesses. With 34 Warframes to choose from (and the 35th on the way), a Tenno may find there is no challenge they cannot overcome by making good use of the swiss army knife that their Arsenal offers. Some well-rounded frames do multiple things well, while others greatly excel in specific circumstances. When reviewing the Arsenal over time, our developers often find themselves asking: 'is this fun?'. That's the most important question to us, from the perspective of both the active player and their three squadmates. We understand the importance of power fantasy, but overbearing abilities can make squadmates feel ineffective by seriously disrupting intended gameplay flow. Conversely, when a Warframe doesn't do enough, players may simply choose a "better" frame, sacrificing personalization and diversity for efficiency. Neither of these situations are ideal, so let's shake things up! Everything you're about to read is subject to change. In response to statistics and player feedback, we are planning the following adjustments to Warframe abilities and Augments (appearing in alphabetical order!): ASH Bladestorm - Upon activating Bladestorm, Ash's clones will do the stabbing, leaving the player free to act. Ash can choose to join in the execution by using Teleport on a marked enemy. As one of three "stealth" frames that offer invisibility, Ash serves as a more offensive alternative to Ivara and Loki. In practice, his Bladestorm ultimate falls short of those expectations - although the ability is sufficiently lethal, players would be locked into cutscenes as Ash and his clones finished the job on marked targets. https://gfycat.com/gifs/imperfectconventionalamericanwirehair With the above changes, the Ash player can continue moving and shooting after activating Bladestorm, while his clones do the dirty work! Plus, as an added feature, if a player wants to take advantage of the invincibility offered by the cutscenes (or just thinks they look cool), they can use Teleport on a marked target after activating Bladestorm to join in on the stabbing fun. ATLAS Rubble (new mechanic) - Comes from killing petrified enemies. Atlas collects rubble to restore his health, or temporarily increase armor if already at max health. Landslide - Does bonus damage on petrified enemies. Killing petrified enemies with Landslide generates bonus rubble. We have also increased the contact radius at max rank from 1.5m to 2m. Petrify - Can use Petrify on Tectonics' bulwarks to increase rolling velocity and damage. Can also be cast on Rumblers to heal them. Able to cast any ability while Petrify is active - use Landslide to move between enemies or erect rumblers and bulwarks, without Petrify ever turning off! Petrifying speed is also more effective at longer ranges now. Rumblers - While casting, creates an AoE around Atlas that will petrify any enemy that comes close. Rumblers create rubble when they expire, based on how much health they had. Released in late 2015, Atlas fills the role of a beefy brawler Warframe. While his first ability Landslide really packs a punch, the rest of his kit falls short in comparison to other frames. We saw this reflected in Atlas' usage stats, where he was the generally the least-used frame that didn't have a Prime variant. https://gfycat.com/gifs/politeyawningbrontosaurus https://gfycat.com/gifs/delayedsereneasiaticgreaterfreshwaterclam Similar to other recent reworks, we aim to give Atlas more synergy between the abilities at his disposal. Petrify is now a versatile ability that does not limit the casting of other abilities, and can be used to buff bulwarks and heal Rumblers. Introducing the Rubble mechanic improves Atlas' survivability, while rewarding players for taking advantage of the frame's synergies. The instant AoE Petrify upon casting his Rumblers ultimate also helps protect players during the cast animation. BANSHEE Resonating Quake (augment) - Upon cast, places a Quake that does not require channeling to maintain, meaning Banshee can move freely. Has a short duration, and does not move with the player. Has double the range of a regular Soundquake, but does more damage near the center. Banshee's abilities fill both offense and support roles, offering damage boosting, crowd control, and area of effect capabilities. But for many, her gameplay has become centralized around an augment for her ultimate, Resonating Quake. Since sound waves can hit through walls, the humongous area of effect can prevent enemies from getting anywhere near the objective, while the casting player is left with nothing to do but wait. From our own public play experiences, Resonating Quake is what we as creators of Warframe find to be the most unfun ability- "I want to enjoy this horde shooter, but where are the hordes?" Instead of creating a less effective version of the same augment, Resonating Quake will now offer an alternative playstyle, providing a stationary Quake that does not restrict player movement. The augment will still lock down a very wide area, but with a short duration and less damage on the outskirts of the Quake, it should be less effective at killing enemies your squadmates cannot yet see. Effective usage will now require frequent casting and strategic placement, encouraging a more active playstyle. CHROMA Spectral Scream - Removed walk speed and jump restrictions You can now freely move while this is active! Damage output is now also affected by the Vex Armor's Fury bonus! https://gfycat.com/gifs/negligibledensegermanpinscher Vex Armor - Fixed a longstanding issue with number calculation being multiplicative. Boosts now apply before upgrades instead of after, making the ability consistent with all other damage boosting abilities. Overshields are now considered for Vex Armor. Chroma's Vex Armor remains one of the top performing damage-multipliers in the game - and it's now an aura! Instead of just being focused on Chroma, it can now benefit allies in range. The only change that comes with a full history lesson! https://forums.warframe.com/topic/788574-octavia%E2%80%99s-anthem-hotfix-2023/ Fixed an issue where Chroma would deal no damage with Vex Armor active. While this may sound like a simple fix, if you're a Chroma user please read on!\ Solving Vex Armor actually takes as back to Chroma's beginning. On original power creation, we used some less-than-ideal calculation methods to create Scorn and Fury's effects. If you are an avid Chroma user, you probably know the power maximizing this ability brings. At some point in Chroma's future we will need to revisit and use ideal methods for his Abilities; we will inform you well in advance when Chroma is under review." Chroma is a complex frame that players usually acquire further on in their Tenno journey. As referenced above, much of that complexity stems from some questionable back-end calculations, which caused Vex Armor to calculate damage boosts AFTER upgrades instead of before. Although the UI may indicate that damage/armor is buffed by a few hundred percent, the actual buff amounts would be much higher. Furthermore, compound elements would effectively be multiplied twice for Fury's damage boosting, leading to some ludicrous results. Back in April 2017, extreme damage boosting was not really a problem, so we left the ability as is. However, the Plains of Eidolon update marked a shift in community mindset by introducing Teralysts - featuring multiple large health pools on each weakpoint, damage boosting abilities became an important part of efficient hunting teams. While other damage boosting options require more team coordination, a single self-damaging Chroma could bypass the weakpoint damaging portion of the fight in an instant. At its simplest, we do not want our Eidolons one-shotted. Chroma's usage was already somewhat narrow, so we want him to remain a competitive option for Teralyst damage boosting, while also improving other parts of his kit. Although the magnitude of his boost will be lowered, it will still be one of the strongest boosting abilities in the game, and both damage/armor increases will now apply to all teammates in a nearby radius. Furthermore, Spectral Scream without movement restrictions allows players to be the aimgliding, fire-breathing dragon they've always dreamed of! We will continue to observe how these changes affect Chroma (and the Teralyst hunting squads) in the coming weeks, and consider further tweaks if needed. EMBER World On Fire - 5 seconds after casting, a percentage will begin counting up on the ability icon. As this percentage scales from 0% to 100% over 10 seconds, the ability's energy cost and damage dealt both grow to double, while the ability radius shrinks to half. Ember is the original damage caster frame, offering low survivability in exchange for high offense. Her ultimate, World on Fire, is unmatched in terms of widespread lethality - while many Warframes specialize in certain mission types, Ember's specialty is "anything under level 30". By simply bullet jumping through levels with World on Fire active, enemies become a non-factor, making Ember a ubiquitous pick across most of the Star Chart. Like a mobile Resonating Quake, this monopoly on kills can leave squadmates struggling to keep up, in an attempt to see the enemy before they melt. These changes increase lethality at higher levels, while addressing the ability's huge range. World on Fire will continue working similarly to how it does now, but with changing effects over time. The gradually increasing energy cost should encourage most players to toggle the ability when needed, instead of the current "set and forget" approach. Players who can afford to run the ability at max charge may need to get more up close and personal, but the increased damage should help Ember out against higher level enemies. World on Fire is still very capable of clearing rooms and sweeping hallways, but should now be applied more deliberately! GARA Mass Vitrify - Wall health scales based on health and shields of the enemies it glasses over. *Our latest Warframe Gara is a versatile frame on the cutting glass edge, with a tool for most situations. After recent changes to her Mass Vitrify, the ability is serviceable against most of the star chart, but doesn't hold up well to higher level content. While this is tough to showcase in a gif, in practice the wall has gotten stronger because it has covered many enemies in this cast!* https://gfycat.com/gifs/brownreasonablearacari To help the ability scale better, the health of Mass Vitrify's wall will increase based on the health and shields of the enemies who are "glassed" by the ability's cast. This added incentive for letting enemies get close to the objective should add an interesting risk/reward element to Gara's gameplay. MAG Polarize - Shards created by Polarize now scale based on power strength, as well as the percentage of damage done to that specific enemy. Crush - Each stage of crush emits a shield heal from Mag. Restores shields to nearby allies per damage instance, based on the number of enemies affected. Mag has seen many changes over Warframe's history - her major rework in 2016 reinforced her role as a fragile crowd control caster, widening her usability across all factions. Although she performs well in the right hands, some of the synergies introduced in that rework did not have quite the impact we wanted. Plus as a starter frame, we want new players to feel like choosing Mag is a more viable option. Increasing the damage of shards created by Polarize should give Mag more kill power. Additional shield restore on Crush also offers a way to passively support your team while clearing crowded rooms! VOLT Discharge - Removed the damage cap. Increased base damage output from 750 to 1200. Damage and stun duration are halved for enemies further away from Volt (affected by Mods). Removing Discharge's damage cap has been a common request since Volt's rework in early 2016. We tried testing this version of the ability internally, and decided it was too much - stunning all enemies for 20+ seconds, through walls and inside spawn closets, had a seriously disruptive effect on gameplay. (add link to https://gfycat.com/gifs/illiteratebiodegradableboaconstrictor on the text "seriously disruptive effects on gameplay") However, we understand why this is a common request, and have done our best to make it work. https://gfycat.com/gifs/severalsevereboto Lightning strikes most fierce at the center. To accompany the damage cap removal, Discharge is now less effective at medium to long range, doing less damage and stunning for less time. The damage reduction is mostly offset by an increased base damage on the ability, but the reduced stun at long range should keep mission flow in check. ZEPHYR Some of Zephyr's abilities are cheaper to cast while airborne - details in progress. Tail Wind - Combined into a single ability with Dive Bomb. Can be charge cast on the ground, launching Zephyr into the air where she then hovers. In the air, Tail Wind still flies in whatever direction you're looking, and Dive Bomb activates if cast while looking straight down. Air Burst - New ability replacing Dive Bomb. A projectile that causes an AoE burst on contact, ragdolling enemies. Can be fired into Tornadoes to make them bigger. Tornado - Now spawn where player is aiming and can be steered. The closest tornado will move to your aimpoint, meaning you can move them around. Tornado damage type now determined by largest amount of elemental damage absorbed, instead of last type absorbed. Tornadoes do a better job of keeping enemies captured, and shooting Tornadoes will do damage to enemies trapped inside. Zephyr, the warrior of the skies, has seen little change since being introduced in early 2014. Four years later, her ability kit is showing its age - Parkour 2.0 improved mobility across all Warframes, making her reduced gravity and Tail Wind less useful by comparison. Turbulence is consistently useful, but all other abilities leave something to be desired. To give Zephyr new wind beneath her wings, her Tail Wind and Dive Bomb will now be the same ability, cast depending on which direction the player is looking. This makes room for her new ability Air Burst, which gives Zephyr new ways to rain death from the skies. We do not have a gif ready for this yet. Combined with Tornado tweaks intended to make the ability more consistent and useful, Zephyr's more well-rounded kit should help reassert her air superiority. We believe these changes make our wide Warframe roster more diverse and fun to play. We will be listening to your responses, so please keep feedback respectful and constructive. While not final, these changes will likely go out in a state very close to what is listed above. Once players have had a chance to try the changes themselves, we will consider further actions.\ Thanks Tenno! TL;DR, if you don't want to read all this, we're doing an impromptu livestream at twitch.tv/warframe to walk you through it live! submitted by /u/tgdm to r/Warframe [link] [comments]

The Old Man and the Sea (1999) - The film used a rare animation technique called "pastel oil paintings on glass." The viscous paint is manually moved for each frame in a scene to create motion.
