Last night I bought my first ever iPad, it’s a 2025 iPad Air M3. I’m on the ESR website because I heard they made good cases and I saw that they sell pencils as well. I’m going to buy a pencil, however I’m not sure if I should go with the one by Apple or if I could get away with using this pencil ESR is selling. I don’t want to spend my money on this and end up having to buy an Apple Pencil in the long run. So, has anyone purchased an ESR pencil? Are they worth it? Do they work well with Apple’s interface? You'll need to manually switch tools in your apps. Apple Pencil Hover Doesn't have the hover preview feature of the real 3rd gen, but honestly rarely used that anyway. Bottom Line For a fraction of the genuine price, this delivers probably 90% of the experience. The missing double-tap is the only real limitation in daily use. Everything else works so well that I forget it's not genuine. After two successful purchases from Replicute, I'm genuinely impressed with their quality control. My Apple Pencil 2 slipped from my hand and hit the floor tip first. I didn't think it was a problem till I tried writing some notes and I noticed it just straight wasn't writing. I looked at the tip and noticed it dented. I had figured that my $130 stylist could handle a 3ft fall but I guess not. It wasn't to much a problem I thought, there should be some extra tips in the box like the old one did. To my surprise all the box had was the pencil and some papers showing me how to charge it. Very classy apple. Charge me $30 more and don't even include pieces to make the product last longer UPDATE: Went to the Apple store today to resolve the issue and since I was in the return date they just exchanged it without any questions.
