New data on the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS: the gas moves in a direction that shouldn't be possible and a key chemical is missing from the exhaust.
Two papers dropped last week. The Paris Observatory measured three different molecules coming off 3I at peak output. All three show the same thing: the gas pushes harder toward the Sun than in the direction of travel. On every natural object we've ever observed, the sunlit side produces gas that moves away from the heat. 3I does the opposite. The team also found sulfur stripped below the range of every comet ever measured while carbon and oxygen compounds are elevated. A team in Japan tracked the CO2 signature on the outbound leg and it's still going. Biver et al.. Shinnaka et al.. Farewell, 3I/ATLAS . The anomalous object is on its way leaving the solar system. It exhibited 22 anomalies
The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS is fading away. It got closest to Jupiter on March 16, 2026 and then it's going to head out of the Solar System in a nearly symmetric fashion to the way it came in. Below I've simplified all the listed anomalies from a recent article by prof Avi Loeb. 1. Mass doesn’t add up → There seems to be too much of this kind of object compared to what star systems can produce. Analogy: Like finding way more cars in a town than factories that could’ve built them. 2. Orbit alignment is rare → Its path lines up unusually well with our solar system’s plane. Analogy: Like a random airplane flying exactly along a highway direction. 3. Suspicious timing → It passed near planets but avoided being easily seen from Earth. Analogy: Like someone walking through a room but always staying in your blind spot. 4. Jupiter distance coincidence → It passed right at a key gravitational boundary around Jupiter. Analogy: Like stopping exactly at the edge of a country’s border line. 5. Unusual Sun-pointing jet → It shot material directly toward the Sun, which is not normal. Analogy: Like smoke from a fire blowing into the wind instead of away. 6. Rotation aligned with Sun → It was spinning in a way that pointed toward the Sun. Analogy: Like tossing a spinning coin and it just happens to face a spotlight perfectly. 7. Jet alignment also precise → The jet came from a very specific spot on the object. Analogy: Like a sprinkler that just happens to spray exactly where a camera is pointing. 8. Same rare behavior twice → It showed this unusual jet pattern both before and after passing the Sun. Analogy: Like flipping heads twice in a row when odds are already tiny. 9. Heat insulation problem → Parts of it stayed “inactive” despite heat spreading through it. Analogy: Like ice staying frozen inside a hot oven longer than expected. 10. Trajectory matches jet perfectly → Its movement change fits exactly with how the jet pushes it. Analogy: Like a rocket turning exactly in sync with its exhaust direction. 11. Perfect Sun–Earth alignment → It briefly lined up almost perfectly with Earth and the Sun. Analogy: Like catching a solar eclipse at the exact right angle by chance. 12. Same direction as “Wow signal” → It came from a similar direction as a famous mysterious radio signal. Analogy: Like two strange events happening from the same spot in the sky. 13. Three evenly spaced jets → Jets were spaced evenly like a symmetrical system. Analogy: Like three perfectly placed thrusters on a spacecraft. 14. Sideways acceleration → It didn’t just get pushed away from the Sun — it moved sideways too. Analogy: Like a balloon drifting sideways even though the wind is straight. 15. Weird chemical makeup → Its composition doesn’t match typical comets. Analogy: Like finding unusual metals in something that should be simple ice and rock. 16. Dust doesn’t make sense → The particles are either too big or too heavy to explain observations. Analogy: Like smoke that’s either too thick or too sparse to behave normally. 17. Ice disappears, organics appear → Ice signals vanished while complex molecules suddenly showed up. Analogy: Like snow melting and suddenly revealing chemicals underneath. 18. Strange origin conditions → Its isotopes suggest it formed in an extremely rare environment. Analogy: Like finding a rock that could only form in a place we’ve barely seen. 19. Methane appears late → Methane showed up at an unexpected time. Analogy: Like a hidden layer inside an object revealing itself only after heating. 20. Bigger and faster than others → It’s unusually large and fast compared to similar objects. Analogy: Like a car that’s both heavier and faster than anything in its class. 21. Strange light reflection → It reflects light in a way no known comet does. Analogy: Like a surface that shines differently than anything we’ve studied. 22. Brightens too fast, unusual color → It became brighter faster than expected and looked slightly blue. Analogy: Like a light bulb suddenly flaring brighter and changing color at the same time. Hopefully, next time we have a interstellar visitor to the solar system, we have the tools to examine it in time and thoroughly. submitted by /u/ahmadreza777 to r/aliens [link] [comments]

Harvard just ran the numbers on 3I/ATLAS. The universe doesn't have enough material to make this thing.
Four papers dropped this week on the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS. NASA dated its water to 10-12 billion years ago. Before the Sun existed. A second team confirmed it independently the next day using a completely different instrument on a different continent. Then a Chinese team published the outbound chemistry. What came out of perihelion doesn't match what went in. Metals surged tenfold. A new chemical species appeared. The thrust reversed. The jets reconfigured. Three independent teams measured three different properties. All three broke at the same moment. Then Avi Loeb at Harvard ran the mass budget. The class of stars the isotopes point to would need a thousand times more heavy elements than they contain to produce the population the detection rate implies. Three days to Jupiter. We've been covering this since December. 53 anomalies across 28 briefings. Full analysis here. submitted by /u/TheSentinelNet to r/AliensRHere [link] [comments]

Three independent teams just mapped the ignition sequence for 3I/ATLAS. It isn't a comet.
Mainstream keeps calling it a weird comet, but a new paper just mapped the exact moment its gas system ignited. When you stack this with other recent data from Harvard and Shanghai telescope, it doesn't look like melting ice. It shows a staged "power-on" sequence. We realized we are looking at different chemical systems activating at different distances from the sun, and an exhaust cloud brightening by 10x while holding a fixed geometric shape. We put together a timeline to break it down and explain. submitted by /u/TheSentinelNet to r/HighStrangeness [link] [comments]

Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS is using a 3-axis attitude control system to keep its rotation pointed directly at our Sun. The new Harvard paper is wild.
Avi Loeb and Toni Scarmato just dropped a new paper on 3I/ATLAS, and the implications are wild. We just published a deep dive on this over at The Sentinel, but here is the TL;DR because people need to see this math. According to the Hubble data, 99% of the light coming from this thing is exhaust. The actual hull is basically invisible. It has three jets spaced exactly 120 degrees apart, and they wobble on a precise, harmonically locked schedule. The primary jet wobbles every 7.2 hours. The other two wobble at 2.9 and 4.3 hours. 2.9 + 4.3 = 7.2. That is a coupled oscillatory system. Nature doesn't tune three independent cracks on a tumbling ice rock to a shared, exact frequency. Engineering does. It gets weirder. The paper describes the jets acting essentially as a three-axis attitude control system. The exact same architecture we use on our own spacecraft to hold a fixed orientation while rotating. And it’s using that system to keep its rotation axis pointed directly at our Sun. Loeb actually put the words "technological thrusters" in print as a valid hypothesis alongside natural outgassing. The establishment will likely ignore that half of the sentence, but the data is piling up. You can read the full breakdown here. Curious to hear what you guys think. How long is the mainstream going to keep calling this just a "weird comet"? submitted by /u/TheSentinelNet to r/HighStrangeness [link] [comments]

New Images of 3I/ATLAS By SpaceTracker (20th Nov)
“The latest processed images of 3I/ATLAS, captured at 3:45 AM on November 20, 2025, are the strangest and most symmetric visuals we have ever recorded since this interstellar comet entered the inner Solar System. These new frames were captured by Diego San Araujo and processed by SpaceTracker.space using a 20-minute built-up frame and 4000% deep zoom extraction. The result is shocking: A perfectly symmetric, plasma-like luminous core with no directional tail — something no Solar System comet has ever produced. As 3I/ATLAS moves closer to Earth, its morphology becomes even more anomalous, more energetic, and more difficult to classify” Source: https://x.com/ammar1176708/status/1991692124710904107?s=46 submitted by /u/FVMK3 to r/InterdimensionalNHI [link] [comments]

3I/ATLAS - WTF is going on
Seriously it’s insane that we can’t get any transparency on this. NASA is radio silent while this should be one of the coolest space events we’ve ever witnessed. It’s the 3rd known object from outside the solar system to be discovered passing through. There should be updates and new high resolution images on a daily basis. My brain is desperate for it to be some intelligent travelers ready to cure our damned society with their wisdom, but I want some evidence damnit. Otherwise if it is really just a comet, then all this was a smoke screen to keep us distracted from the powerful trampling human rights all over the world. If anybody has some quality information or sources on Atlas, please share below. Thanks and be good ✌️ submitted by /u/LividNegotiation2838 to r/ufo [link] [comments]

8 days until the return of something humanity was never meant to remember: 3I/ATLAS is coming back
In 2019 astronomers detected an object entering our solar system on a hyperbolic trajectory officially named 3I/ATLAS, the third known interstellar visitor after ‘Oumuamua (2017) and 2I/Borisov (2019). Unlike Borisov, which behaved like a normal comet, 3I/ATLAS showed several anomalies: its brightness fluctuated irregularly, its acceleration couldn’t be fully explained by outgassing, and its albedo reflected a metallic, non-natural pattern. Astrophysicist Avi Loeb, former chair of Harvard’s Department of Astronomy, was among the first to suggest that ‘Oumuamua and possibly 3I/ATLAS could represent artificial probes sent by an extraterrestrial civilization. Loeb’s reasoning was simple: both objects lacked the expected cometary tails, yet exhibited accelerations inconsistent with gravitational or solar radiation effects. Their shapes, inferred from light curves, were unusually flat and reflective possibly resembling light sails designed for interstellar travel. But now, all of a sudden, with a bunch of days left before the interstellar object gets closer to us, global summits of extreme importance are suddenly cancelled (Putin-Trump), lockdowns of satellite arrays and quiet movements of high ranking officials (US military official suddenly called all togheter for the first time ever). Bunkers has been built all across the globe over the last few years and the elite moved to safer and hidden locations. Why? They know what's coming. Ancient myths across cultures describe “messengers from the stars” returning after vast cycles, the Sumerian Annunaki, the Egyptian Shemsu-Hor, the Mayan Kukulkan, or the Dogon legends of beings from Sirius. The mathematical precision embedded in monuments like the Great Pyramid of Giza, Teotihuacán, and Tiwanaku aligns eerily with astronomical constants and stellar positions that were supposedly impossible to calculate with ancient technology. Advanced life on earth existed in the past, civilizations more developed than us used to walk on this planet before the Sumers, for suddenly disappearing, leaving by just a few traces. All of them were connected to something from the outside. 3I/ATLAS is not as a random interstellar fragment, but a part of a recurrent cycle, a return of an ancient, intelligent technology that once visited Earth thousands of years ago and left behind architectural and cultural fingerprints. Perhaps what ancient civilizations called “gods descending from the heavens” were not divine beings, but observers, and 3I/ATLAS could be their signal that the observation is about to begin again. Eight days left. Scientists expect the object to navigate through our solar system in a predictable way and ahead out. But it won't. There's nothing predictable about it. Its orbit will suddenly change and ahead straight to Us, and whatever comes next will be a turning point in human history, hands down the most important event ever. It could either be the end of life as we know it, or the biggest turning point in our history. Something ancient and out of our comprehension is returning. Enjoy these two months, because after, nothing will ever be the same. Eight days left. submitted by /u/lone_wolf819 to r/conspiracy [link] [comments]

Timelapse of 3I/ATLAS, the Interstellar Object That Has a Harvard Professor Talking About Aliens
I use a remote telescope (iTelescope) to capture this timelapse of comet 3I/ATLAS which is only the 3rd interstellar object ever be seen in our solar system. It is most likely a comet from another solar system, but Harvard scientist Avi Loeb is suggesting it could be alien technology. All the media buzz around it had me interested enough to try photographing. The animation is a series of 30 second exposures with a 20" telescope that was tracking the stars so you can faintly see the object moving across the field of stars. Its a fairly small and dim object so I had to crop the image at high zoom, hence the image noise.
