First I'd say it depends on what pump you have because it's easiest to do the bottle that fit with your pump. Otherwise, we've liked the Lansinoh and Avent bottles. I had a lactation specialist say those are better than Dr. Brown's because they mimic a breast better. But on the other hand, my first baby was totally fine with Dr. Brown's too (they fit with my Medela pump)

We use the philip avent natural response bottles and my EBF baby tolerates them well! Milk only comes out if she’s actually sucking so she goes back to breast super easily! I have mine (3mo) on the 2 flow nipple.

... how baby feels about them. BUT…. I use the Philips avent natural bottles... the crib. But then the bottles are very similar. And you... it in plastic or glass bottles. But you can also just... three. Which is great if baby rejects it. But both my... this baby, we had to change up the nipple sizes on the hospitals bottles...

My baby is a week shy of 7 months. She has four teeth and loves to bite me, and I mean really bite me. She’s been exclusively breastfed but has bitten me so hard that she’s cause a wound, almost like a paper cut but thicker, right where my nipple and areola meet. It’s excruciating because everytime she sucks/latches it opens back up. It doesn’t bleed. I went to the drs on Tuesday and they said it was mastitis and weren’t interested in the cut at all. I’ve got two weeks of antibiotics which I’m on day three of put the pain is still ridiculous. Anyway. She’s refused every bottle I’ve tried. I don’t know what to do. I only produce a good amount of milk from the injured side, the left side makes a minimal amount and she’s never satisfied from it. We mainly use the left side to comfort suck now. What do I do? The wound isn’t going to heal with her reopening it every 2 hours but with her refusing bottles I’ve got no option. Does anyone have any recommendations for bottles for babies that won’t accept bottles 😭 we’ve tried MAM, Dr Browns, Nuby Rapid Bottle and Philips Avent. **EDIT** Thanks for everyone who suggested a sippy cup. She’s taken around 80ml in a basic tommee tippee cup that I picked up from the supermarket this morning. Not a huge amount but it’s a start and I’m less worried about her getting dehydrated. Hi! I have a 1 week old (born at 38+3) and I am combo feeding breastmilk and formula. Baby had jaundice so I was advised to supplement my breastmilk with formula to maintain hydration and calories. I have both the Phillips Avent bottles as well as the Comotomo bottles. I give baby a bottle and he sucks on it for maybe half an hour and when I remove the bottle from his mouth it looks like the level of fluid in the bottle hasn’t gone down at all. As far as I know he doesn’t have a lip/tongue tie. He latches to the breast and feeds well. He doesnt have a problem with Dr. Brown’s bottles or the single serving formula bottles and nipples we got at the hospital. Ive tried going from a size 2 to size 3 nipple for the Phillips, Ive also tried clearing the vent holes on the nipples, cleaning them well, not tightening the lids too much, etc. I don’t know what else to do. Are these bottles/nipples just not right for us? Is there something else I should try doing to make these bottles work? Is there a possibility baby needs to have some kind of assessment done for his latch/sucking? Any and all advice is helpful. Hi everyone, about to be a FTM any day now and been hyper focused on finding nipples that pass the triangle test with different baby bottles! We’re trying to breastfeed for atleast the first month trying to find a combo that wouldn’t mess with any latch. Of course, we’ll see what baby actually takes when she gets here but thought I would share what I found so far with links attached. I haven’t tested the flow yet since baby isn’t here, but let me know if I’ve missed anything! Note: the Philips Avent PPSU plastic bottle is only compatible with the nipple it comes with out of these three nipple options I tried. FTM trying to decide which bottle system to invest in. I’d love to hear real experiences from parents who have used either. Which did your baby prefer? How did you find them for feeding, cleaning, leaks, colic/gas, and overall ease of use? I’m currently leaning towards Philips Avent glass bottles. Also adding - I travel a lot as I also live in the ME. I would like to breastfeed when baby comes as well bottle feed. I’ve put the Phillips avent glass baby bottles on my registry and my aunt and mum are criticizing them saying they’ll be too heavy for baby, and get super hot when i heat them up that i won’t be able to hold them. Has anyone used glass bottles before and what were your thoughts about them! Edit: Thank you everyone for your replies!! Yeah I'm that parent that tried many bottles and there's always 1 aspect that it's lacking. My baby will take/eat anything so my review has nothing to do with his preference; it's MY honest review of the brands that I've tried: Pigeon: Seems to made of the best glass and nipple quality. Nipple doesn't collapse or bend at all. Dr. Browns, Philips, and TT nipples all drips super fast on its own despite being all the same flow but not Pigeon. LO is still eating 180ml in 10 minutes but the nipple is super un-drippy if that makes sense. The ONLY problem is I don't know how to take this bottle out because there is no cover. (There is a cap) 9/10. Dr. Browns: Again, baby isn't picky on nipple but I found these to be the best nipples for latching. Nipples doesn't collapse but it can bend a little. Nipples are super drippy. Sells a cover so I can take it outside but I found that it spills if it shakes aggressively in my bag or whatever. Washing the green parts inside is kind of annoying. Good for home use. 8/10 Tommee Tippee: Nipple collapses. And it drips too fast again. When I test it for temperature, it always squirts out at me despite having the same flow rate as my pigeon nipple. But it comes with a lid (not a cap) for taking it outside. Better nipple size than Comotomo to me. 6/10 Comotomo: Nipple collapses too. Meh. Baby wasn't picky but I thought the nipple size was a tid too small. Every report I've seen rates it as high quality though with no pollutants or lead or what have you. 6/10 Philips Avent: Leaks when not careful. Meh. You can easily over tighten the cap which then loosens the whole thing. Sure not the worst thing but I expect any baby company to do better. 4/10 Does there exist a bottle/nipple that: nipple doesn't collapse doesn't leak of course glass can be lid locked so i can take it outside preferably lead and BPA free (That consumerreport post only flagged like 9 bottles) Like am i asking for too much?
