Help! Renter-friendly ideas for a very small windowless bathroom
Hey yall ! I am looking for advice. I am renting and have a tiny bathroom, and I honestly hate it. I just loved in a few days ago. I cannot do anything permanent (drilling okay but no major changes), but I would love ideas to make it feel more livable and pretty. I am open to anything renter-safe. If you have any idea on how to improve it, I would really appreciate hearing what helped. Any recs is welcome. Thanks a lot ! :) submitted by /u/meriboo to r/HomeDecorating [link] [comments]

Small/narrow bathroom redesign – foresty green tiles: good idea or mistake?
Hi! Would love any and all advice. I've attached photos of our current bathroom, the AI generated image of what we want and some close ups of sample tiles in the bathroom with different lighting (it's quite gloomy atm). FYI for the generated image, the shower would actually be on the stud wall, along with the shower screen, and we intend to have the green tiles to the floor in the sink area with no recessed lighting above the sink. Dark green tiles: We’re considering foresty green wall tiles. In a bathroom of this size, would that likely feel too dark/heavy in real life, even with lighter floor tiles and good lighting? (The AI generated image using tiles we're considering makes it look fine, but suspect they could be darker in real life?). We really like the gloss/ceramic glaze tiles where there is a range of colour/texture in tiles. Boxing in the toilet cistern: Would boxing the cistern in (to seat height, spanning bath-to-wall) make the space look cleaner and more modern, or risk making it feel smaller? We currently just have the pipes boxed in. Struggling to visualise... Vanity: Any recommendations for what price point makes sense for vanity units? We've seen some at the 1k mark, some significantly lower (e.g. from Victorian Plumbing) and not sure what makes sense - we'll probably live here for max 5 more years. Background: Full bathroom replacement: bath, shower, toilet, vanity/sink, tiles. Stud wall position is fixed due to bath size, window, and cost constraints - will be extended to the ceiling Layout advice isn’t the main goal, but open to obvious improvements. TL;DR: Redesigning our bathroom and want feedback on whether green tiles will be too dark for the space, and whether boxing in the toilet cistern actually improves the look. Vanity suggestions welcome. Editing to add: Wow, really appreciate all the feedback! Thanks so much to everyone who commented so far. For those who are asking, we used ChatGPT (free version) to generate the image. It was definitely "generous" with the size and lighting. We actually asked it to use the same tiles we got samples for, but I guess it came out unrealistically light! submitted by /u/SaltedandShrivelled to r/InteriorDesign [link] [comments]

Bathroom ideas ?
I’m in need of help. I recently finished remodeling my bathroom, but I’m at a loss for what to do with the large empty space on the left side of the sink. I’m torn between adding a custom closet or purchasing a generic piece from IKEA. (Please disregard the random people in the mirror and the mess) and any suggestions or other design would be much appreciated . submitted by /u/Abe2233 to r/interiordecorating [link] [comments]

Help me with my bathroom design!
I’m finishing my basement and I have a standard 5x9 bathroom I need help with. I’ve chosen the green tile for the shower walls, the matte black ceramic flooring, and a walnut vanity. I need help with the walls to tie it all together. Any ideas? The last pic is my inspiration photo. Wall paper? Darker paint? Wrap the shower tile halfway up the wall? Losing my mind over this small bathroom layout – need design help!
We’re adding a new main bathroom (2100 x 2000) to our unit by expanding a former laundry space. Eventually, we’ll convert the original bathroom into an ensuite – but for now, we need this new bathroom to be functional, accessible, and not feel cramped. I’ve hit a wall trying to find a floor plan that works, and would love any advice or layout ideas. Some key constraints and considerations: Window and external door: The existing laundry has a narrow window and a back door along the rear wall. There’s about 1300mm between the left corner and the end of the rear doorway, which gives us room to install a new window within this space, without altering the brickwork further. Toilet placement: When we moved in, we had sewer work done to create an access point outside the rear wall, so ideally the toilet would go there. If it ends up on a side wall, we’d need to box it out to run the waste pipe externally. Visibility of the toilet: I’ve been trying to avoid the design sin of having the toilet as the first thing you see when opening the door. That said, this layout often allows for the clearest access path through the room. Door placement: The door can’t go on the left-hand wall (shared with another room), and 600mm of the front wall is recessed into a bedroom, so the doorway placement on the front wall is limited to the right-hand portion. It’s a small, tight space and I’m open to clever solutions. However, pocket doors aren't really on my radar for this one, as I want to stop sound travelling into the kitchen and dining room as the space is just off these rooms. If anyone has solved a similar layout or has tips on making small bathrooms feel more functional and less pokey, I’m all ears! Thank you to anyone who can help out with this, I am going in circles! submitted by /u/Traditional-Spare605 to r/AusRenovation [link] [comments]

Hole in the wall separating bedroom and bathroom. Ideas on how to close it?
We recently bought a condo, and the previous owner (a woman who lived alone) had designed it so that natural light could reach the bathroom. When we purchased the unit, we thought we could simply close off the opening with drywall and plaster. However, we were told that due to the metal corners and existing plaster work, it would be difficult to get a clean, professional finish. So now we're exploring other options and would love to hear any creative ideas or suggestions you might have! submitted by /u/Arwenthecat to r/DIY [link] [comments]

Ideas for small bathroom
G,day all, I’m looking for ideas on how to utilise my bathroom space better when I renovate it, I was thinking about removing the bath completely and putting a proper vanity and sink there with a normal size mirror that the GF won’t have to crouch to use and maybe extending the shower. But I’m not sure if deleting the bath is such a good idea, it’s to shallow and short to really use for bathing anyone except a child.
