It's been a while since I looked at my foundation and concealer shades and I'm so deeply confused after trying them all on! I have acne as can be seen in the photo and quite honestly have never been able to tell what my undertones are. This is stood by a window in natural, grey UK daylight. The second photo is after an hour. I'm chronically ill and housebound so going in store to try shades on, get matched or try on samples isn't really an option for me. Even knowing which of these are on the right track would be a help! Every shade looks nothing like my skintone whatsoever, it's either too pink or too yellow. Whoever suggested this - thank you! I have very rarely found makeup that doesn't pull yellow, orange, or peach. It's so weird to put on a very grey makeup and watch it blend into my skin and not have that peach/pink chin and jaw that I'm used to. Does anyone have similar recommendations? The no. 21 is great but it's just a hair too dark. Is there anything similar out there that's a bit lighter and maybe has more coverage? The Missha has a lovely formula and I can live with it being too dark. Hi all. I am trying to get back into makeup and want to create a 5 minute every day routine. I find that applying foundation takes me a long time and I’m wondering if there is some magical product out there that I can apply with my fingers like a moisturiser and can give me a very basic coverage to even out my skin and give a base for a bit of blush. Hey beauties💫 I am running out of my foundation and am considering permanently switching to BB cream, but I have questions lol. Main reasons why I want to switch: • Maybe I just haven't found the right foundation yet, but I always find it a little cakey and creasy. I've been using the Haus Laas one because a make-up artist recommended it to me, but honestly I still get that effect. I have tried blending it with both a sponge and a make-up brush, but I get the same results. It only helps if I use very little product. • I am a huge fan of multi-purpose products, things that do more than one thing at the same time, I feel like they save time and money. Now onto my doubts: • Is BB cream like, really low-coverage? Does it depend on the individual composition or do they all tend to be like that? • I don't have a crazy intense make-up routine, but I do like to use foundation, highlighter, concealer (only in my under-eye), powder, and blush. Just in a few strategic spots. Does it even make sense to do all this with a BB cream? My goal would be to purchase it as a full alternative to foundation. I'll also describe my skin: I have fair skin, very sensitive, on the drier side. I did have a very sudden and unexpected acne issue (I never had a lot of acne before) that went away after a few months on hormonal birth control. I am 27 and the acne is gone (knock on wood), so I don't think I need that much coverage, but I do like my skin to look even and put together. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this — do you think a BB cream makes sense for me? If so, any recommendations?
