Looking for handheld/portable carpet/upholstery spot cleaner
As the title says I am looking for a carpet and upholstery spot cleaner. I have had Bissell (can't remember the model) and now a Hoover CleanSlate. Both retailed for around $100 and lasted less than 2 years each. They both had the same failure; they stopped spraying cleaning solution. I liked the size because I only use them for upholstery and car interiors. Are there any products in this category that are BIFL? submitted by /u/Exact-Ad5912 to r/BuyItForLife [link] [comments]

Best Carpet Cleaner To Buy Right Now?
I’m currently looking for a good, beginner-friendly carpet cleaner to keep my rugs and carpets fresh. I don’t need anything too industrial or high-end — just something reliable, easy to use, and effective for regular home use (especially with pets or the occasional spill). Ideally, I want a machine that’s not too bulky, easy to clean after use, and does a solid job pulling up dirt and stains without leaving the carpet soaked for hours. Attachments for furniture or stairs would be a nice bonus, but my main focus is on performance, ease of use, and overall value for the price. Here are a few models I’ve been looking into: Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Max Clean Pet Pro Hoover SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner Rug Doctor Deep Carpet Cleaner Bissell Little Green Portable Spot Cleaner Tineco Carpet One Smart Carpet Cleaner Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner Bissell Big Green Professional Carpet Cleaner If you’ve tried any of these or have a go-to carpet cleaner you swear by, I’d love to hear your recommendations! Also open to tips on cleaning solutions, how often to deep clean, and whether it’s worth going for a full-size model versus a portable one. submitted by /u/Lonely-Hold8871 to r/CarpetCleaning [link] [comments]

Any recommendations for pet steam cleaners $360 or less best at removing dried or days old dog diarrhea from carpet?
my sister brought over her dog before leaving for a trip, the dog is aggressive and elderly and last night had diarrhea on the basement carpet, stinking up the whole house, I could smell it upstairs and couldn’t go down because I risk him charging at me, he isn’t familiar with me. My mom said she’d clean it up in the morning since the dog is less aggressive with her but never did and left for work, we do not have a functioning pet steam cleaner or a shopvac, so I need recommendations for anything about getting day old dog diarrhea out of carpet. my budget is $360 or less submitted by /u/Mystical-Moth-hoe to r/CarpetCleaning [link] [comments]

Steam cleaner for carpet that only uses water no solution???
Is there a carpet steam cleaner you’ve used that doesn’t require a chemical cleaner? Have not been able to find one yet. I don’t want chemicals because crawling children will be on carpet! ETA Bissell does not actually heat water..self critiquing to add hot water but is there a steamer that you use that heats the water up?? submitted by /u/bangingbodyhottamale to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

Tired of damp carpets? I compared the specs of 4 popular steam cleaners
I’ve been obsessed with finding a portable cleaner that actually extracts water instead of just making the carpet wet. I spent the afternoon digging through manuals and spec sheets to put together this comparison chart. Interestingly, the TikTok-famous Bissell isn't necessarily the strongest when you look at the kPa and wattage. If you’re like me and hate waiting 24 hours for a rug to dry, the suction power makes a massive difference. Hope this saves some of you the headache of deep-diving through manuals like I did! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these or if you think I missed a spec. submitted by /u/ChocholateBabe to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

How to remove hose from Bissell Pet Revolution Carpet Cleaner?
I think one of my kids used the carpet cleaner to suck up cat poop, it isn’t spraying out any cleaning solution anymore. I’ve managed to disassemble the carpet cleaner up to this point but I cannot get the hose out to clean it. The hose is slotted into the white piece shown, which is slotted into the larger chassis. I can’t push it back due to the two black tabs behind the white casing and I can’t push it up because of the white casing slotted into the chassis. Any ideas, or is this a lost cause? submitted by /u/chetting to r/Appliances [link] [comments]

What carpet cleaner for upholstery do you use?
I have a carpet cleaner but is meant for large floor surfaces not upholstery or small rugs. Even the one I have cannot hold enough water to clean a small bedroom without having to dump the dirty water out and refill with solution multiple times. I want a portable carpet cleaner for my couch as I have a dog. I just don’t want one that won’t have to refill 10 times to just clean a cushion. Of course the most popular one that comes up is the BISSELL little green portable corded cleaner. There so many products out there and new ones that don’t have a ton of reviews on some websites. Does anyone have one that works well for your couch and may have features that you really love? I love carpet cleaning. It’s so satisfying submitted by /u/Initial-Elephant-932 to r/CleaningTips [link] [comments]

Carpet/upholstery cleaner solution safe for buns, pic of culprit
I have a bissel little green type-carpet spot cleaner and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions of favorite solutions that would be rabbit safe. either bought or homemade, just want to be cautious around the babies. I currently use hot water with a little dawn & vinegar but doesn’t seem to be as effective with urine odor and cleanup as solutions made for those cleaners. Obviously bun buns health comes first, please let me know if you use something you like! ps- pictured culprit of peeing on bunmoms’ carpet is Olive, she’s spayed and an old lady, vet did some tests and all seems well she just pees on the floor sometimes :/ submitted by /u/Sea-Cow-2726 to r/Bunnies [link] [comments]

Kärcher vs Bissell for carpet cleaning
Hi everyone, My mother recently bought a Bissell SpotClean HydroSteam, but honestly I’m not very happy with it. I need to clean the whole carpet in a room, and this machine doesn’t feel appropriate for that. The steam function is fine for small stains, but the nozzle is very small, so cleaning a full carpet takes too long and feels inefficient. It seems more like a spot cleaner than a real carpet cleaner. Another issue is the cleaning solution. BISSELL solution is quite expensive, and I feel like one full bottle wouldn’t even be enough to clean my entire carpet once, which makes it costly in the long run. So I’m thinking about Kärcher instead. Is Kärcher good for full carpet cleaning (whole rooms, not just spots)? Does the cleaning solution last longer compared to Bissell? Which Kärcher model would you recommend for home carpet cleaning? Overall, what’s your honest experience with Kärcher vs Bissell? submitted by /u/Status-Swan-6948 to r/VacuumCleaners [link] [comments]

Carpet solutions
Hello! I recently have come into the possession of a Bissell Big Green Professional Carpet Cleaner. I use it, it works really well sucks up alot of water so it dries quickly etc. I do follow all of the instructions that come with it so I am not concerned about any issues. Im wondering what solution you would reccomend for this machine. I like to use it every two weeks or so. But ive read that good scented products can attract and hold more dirt. And could be soap/detergent based. I have pets and ive also heard things about keeping them off carpet that has been treated with certain products as well. 1) what do you reccomend it use with this machine. My goal isnt stains its cleaning, and if possible nice smell 2) if i want better smell(Like actual scent) and shouldn't use a scented cleaner, is there something I can pre-treat with that can make it smell better? submitted by /u/nastysox to r/CarpetCleaning [link] [comments]

Actually “clean” carpet cleaning solution
Hi fellow crunchies, I hope someone might have some insight for me! I’m slowly transitioning all our cleaning products to fragrance free, “cleaner”, more natural solutions. We have a dog, cat and toddler and a very small house so recently bought a Bissell carpet cleaner, but I don’t want to use the typical (fragrance heavy, chemical heavy) solutions they market. Does anyone have a brand they recommend for a cleaner solution option? It might not be perfect but I’ll take as clean as we can get! TIA ♥️ submitted by /u/folder_finder to r/moderatelygranolamoms [link] [comments]

Bissell carpet cleaner - cleaning with just water after shampooing?
I have a Bissell carpet cleaner (specifically Powerlifter PowerBrush Upright Carpet Cleaner and Shampooer, 1622). I am using Bissell Pro Max Clean + Protect formula. My question is, after cleaning with the cleaning solution, should I go over it again with just water? What do you prefer and why? Can I use any old carpet cleaning shampoo/detergent when using Bissell carpet cleaners? I don't want to be buying their own solution as it's too pricey and the manual says I shouldn't. I think that's BS but just sayin'
Apologies if it sounds like a stupid question but it mentions in their leaflet that you're not meant to be using other liquids other than the Bissell one. I read BS on that but because stranger things have happened I wanted to ask to be sure. submitted by /u/mossikukulas to r/CarpetCleaning [link] [comments]
