Have BTS talked about the decrease in choreography in their recent concerts?
I have seen their setlists/reviews from recent concerts and there is obviously less dancing than their concerts used to have. Have they talked about this change in any of their recent content? I don't keep up with them outside music/performance so I'm curious if I missed something. (If this sounds shady i'm sorry but it's not on purpose, i am genuinely curious) edited to say: Unsurprisingly people are treating my question as a dig when it isn't. I am fine with kpop artists toning down choreo as they age I was just curious if they had talked about it directly or if it was something they were implementing more quietly. People also seem to think I'm looking for reasons why they've reduced choreo. I am not, I know many reasons why they might have I am wondering if THEY have talked about it and given any reasons directly. submitted by /u/betchugonlikeme to r/kpophelp [link] [comments]

I am never dating a BTS fan again
I have just ended the most miserable relationship of my life. I and my now ex-girlfriend are 26 years old and in a relationship for 3 years. She is a BTS fan to the point of worshiping them. She would cancel our dates because of their events, videos, song droppings or she would watch/consume these contents instead of talkinh to me. 90 percent of the things she talked about was K-pop. When we were talking about the future she said you will be my 8th husband and you should be proud of it. I thought things would change as we matured but her situation got worse. I ended things today after crashing out about her spending all her money on BTS merch or related things to the point she became financially dependent on me. I am never dating a person that is a fan of BTS or any celeb to this degree. This cannot be healthy. submitted by /u/pessimisttiramisu to r/TrueOffMyChest [link] [comments]

I hope this comeback humbles BTS
Album is trashed globally, their own fans couldn't achieve comeback goals, and now their free concert attendance is low. The crowd they attracted only looks around 10k of people. Nowhere near the numbers hybe expected. Its clear the group is delusional about the pull they have now. They blocked the entire town, brought in 7k police and firefighters. They frisked everyone that had to walk pass the area. They closed down transportation and businesses. This better humble them and their team. submitted by /u/Browniecakee to r/BTSnark [link] [comments]

Armys vs. Reality: How Normal People See BTS 💀
Genuinely crying. 😭 Swipe to see the pictures the OP posted and the comments under them. I’m not even trying to be mean, but with the way Armys hype BTS, I didn’t expect regular people to see them like this. Armys are always quick to drag other idols’ looks, but they never seem to look at their own. I have to say… BTS 2022 vs. BTS 2026 is kind of hopeless. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t even be making this post if it weren’t for Armys constantly dragging other idols’ appearances. The way people in that fandom talk about how idols like Jennie, Han-bin, or even Winter is wild. When you see that kind of energy being thrown at other idols all the time, it’s hard not to notice the double standard. Armys are very comfortable criticizing how everyone else looks, but the moment anyone says anything remotely similar about their own idols, it suddenly becomes unacceptable. That’s really the only reason this conversation even comes up. If people weren’t constantly dragging others first, there probably wouldn’t be the same pushback, and I would not be making this post. submitted by /u/Few_Walk165 to r/BTSnark [link] [comments]

Got banned from the BTS Snark subreddit for telling the truth?
For some reason reddit kept recommending me that subreddit. Commented three times because eh... One person saying that BTS' world tour is not truly sold out and HYBE probably bought most of the tickets(got a lot of upvotes for it) and I corrected them and told them that YES it's sold out everywhere and it would be weird for HYBE to buy the tickets since many fans haven't had theirs yet and the demand is here A few days ago, one person asked why people are buying tickets since the album is not out yet and it's weird for the fans to do that. Replied with : Fans were waiting for this tour and I'm sure the tour won't be only centered around the new album Yesterday, someone said that "BTS know they are not that big" and I replied with : "what do you mean, BTS know they are not that big? They sold out multiple stadiums and the only act currently doing so are Taylor Swift and Coldplay" And : I got banned and they remove my comments for displaying "fan behavior" The catch is : I'm not an ARMY but not a hater either. I listen to BTS casually but they are not my ult group I was just telling the truth. I understand that these people hate BTS guts for some reason(along with their fans), but I wonder if they believe most of the stuff they write about or if it's just venting and ranting because they are frustrated. There's no one to correct them because they live in an echo chamber where anyone doing so is met with a ban. submitted by /u/IIIPrimeeIII to r/kpoprants [link] [comments]

(Mind blowing trope) Really REALLY subtle character details that you can completely miss if you don't pay attention or watch BTS content.
1.) In Community, multiple scenes throughout the show, as well as the the shows original website character bios and Dan Harmon explicitly stating it in an AMA, show that Britta was molested as child at one of her birthday parties by a man in a dinosaur costume. It's only mentioned a few times in the actual show, and it's always easy to not comprehend because it's so brief. It does however, make her wearing a dinosaur costume to Halloween... Really sad. 2.) Scott Pilgrim vs The World. When prepping for their roles, a lot of the actors were given 5 secrets about their characters by the comic's creator Bryan Lee O'Malley. Most were just stuff that was going to be in the future issues of the comic, but Mary Elizabeth Winstead got a big one about Ramona. She had a brother that died in a car crash. The entire movie she wears his shoelace around her neck to remember him by. This fact isn't brought up in any Scott Pilgrim media, but she is always wearing the shoelace if you look and it adds a lot to her character. submitted by /u/Wasabi_Gamer26 to r/TopCharacterTropes [link] [comments]

"BTS were the most hardworking rookies, they had no life outside of armys" meanwhile BTS :
One of the lies that armys push that irritate me the most is that BTS were such downtrodden rookie idols that they didn't have any life outside of working hard for armys in those tiny practice rooms and cramped dorms. They especially like to use that to paint them as martyrs in comparison to big 3 idols who apparently had everything handed to them on a silver platter. When in reality, if you dig a bit deeper, you realize that both Jungkook and Suga had girlfriends and went on many dates with them around 2013 and 2014 while Jin even exposed V for dating around in 2015. Now, am I saying that rookie idols shouldn't date ? Of course not, I actually think that's a crazy thing that rookie idols aren't allowed to date by their agencies and their fans. Idols should be allowed to have a private life and that includes things like romance, friendship, hobbies, etc. What I'm pointing out is just the hypocrisy of both armys and BTS members who were claiming they were "too focused on music" to do anything else. I'm sure there are many big 3 idols who genuinely didn't date as rookies and had very restricted lives but we're only supposed to feel sorry for BTS because they were not "privileged". All of this to say that armys have shaped a narrative about BTS' early years that's based on a pile of lies. Do you think BTS has ever dated, and if so, how do you think they’ve gone about it?
🚨 WARNING: LONG POST! 🚨 Being an ARMY since 2022, I would say I’m sort of still new, but I’m also very deep down the rabbit hole. Though I wasn’t there for BTS’s earlier years, I’ve caught up on everything. Also being a U.S. ARMY and trying to, not only learn about Korean culture, but the K-pop and K-drama entertainment industry as well, I am mind boggled at the core about how BTS in particular (them being the biggest K-pop band of all time) navigates relationships or dates. I’ve heard about the three-year-no-dating rule, the boys having one bedroom to share for the first several years, the trainee days even before that, and then them still somewhat living together and/or sharing bedrooms, the practices, the rehearsals, recording, meetings, photoshoots, press, interviews, tours, traveling, etc., and I’m just wondering how they even HAD or HAVE time to date. Now, most of them are still serving in the military, so they may be single right now or managing some sort of long-distance relationship, but I’ve also wondered who they would date. Not necessarily the type, looks, nationality, or ethnicity, but like do y’all really believe that whole “they could have hooked-up or had flings with stylists, crew, etc.” or would they naturally meet a girl somewhere out and about, maybe a family friend they grew up with, or something along those lines? I used to be die-hard Belieber of Justin Bieber my whole middle school and high school life, and maybe it’s just the way the press, paparazzi, and media glorify Hollywood actors, singers, and athletes here, but we knew EVERY girl Justin Bieber was either hooking-up with or dating. I’m not sure if it’s the way the Korean media, paparazzi, and K-pop entertainment industry keeps it more private over there (which is nice IMO) but I’m sure these guys would love to have, not necessarily a public relationship, but one where it’s not that big of a deal. I mean, they’re handsome, talented, smart, rich, and caring men, so of course they could probably get anyone. But do you think there’s pressure, not only from disappointing a fanbase (ARMY), but also I’d assume they’d want to bring a nice girl home to their parents (at least from what I’ve learned so far about the Korean culture)? I don’t see any of the boys being that hook-up type or ONS type of guys, but then again, I don’t fully know them personally. It’s interesting how K-pop is branded; they not only make music, dance, and perform on tours like normal singers around the world, but they also make other content to make you feel closer to them and like you know them personally (RUN BTS!, Bon Voyage, In The Soop, etc.), but I also think that almost creates an unrealistic expectation for a fan. I get not dating for the first few years and being scandal-free can help build a team, a group, and even a label, but the way these labels market these boy groups really make you feel like you know every freaking personality trait of them. My mom was recently watching In The Soop with me (I forced her, lol), but she asked me, “Do you really think these guys don’t have a girlfriend?” It made me really think about it. I think the way the Korean entertainment industry keeps those things private is what intrigues the mystery for us. And if they have had or currently have a girlfriend, do you believe in that whole NDA thing, or do you think it’s just a natural thing like anyone else (going on dates, getting to know each other, etc.)? With that being said, it must get quite lonely if any of the boys really never have been in a deep, long-term relationship. For example, I’m a Jimin bias, and when I watched that one Weverse live of him saying something along the lines of “My mom came over to my place and said it looked like a model home,” basically implying there must not be a lot of decoration in his place, or it’s not homey. Maybe his interior design style is simple, but it struck something in me that he seemed a bit lonely. And also on the MMM (Mini Moni Music) series on YouTube that him and RM did recently when they listened to each other’s new albums, I caught that Jimin told RM something like, “I can’t even remember the last time I had a crush.” RM shook his hand almost as if he was agreeing with him. So, are they saying they haven’t dated in that long, especially Jimin after his crazy ex? I mean, I find it almost impossible, but I also don’t, and will never, actually know. And it’s not just them being in their late twenties to thirties now, and their popularity and fame, but even as just a normal dude, like do you really think they’ve never dated a lot, and if so, who? It could be famous girls, or it may not be, either. I have an older brother who is thirty and he’s dated girls since he was in eighth grade. We even grew up Christian and pretty conservative, and he was pretty popular in school and played sports. He’s a great guy, established, has had a handful of serious relationships in his lifetime, and is now married. I try to compare that to these good-looking, talented, and established guys as well, and I find it hard to believe that they’ve been single this whole time. Although, I have to say, my brother was never a major K-pop star in the limelight 24/7, with a gruesome schedule, either. Maybe then there would be some different implications in place. But the other side of me thinks about all of that busy schedule stuff I mentioned at the beginning of this post, along with them not knowing who has the best intentions, if there’s a family aspect to it, if there’s some sort of privacy policy within the label or contracts, or if there’s a media aspect to it, etc. Y’all get what I’m saying, right? I’ve seen the “leaked” video of what they said was Jungkook walking around his house hugging that girl from behind while his dog, Bam, walked behind them. I’ve seen all of the Taehyung and Jennie stuff, I’ve heard that maybe Hobi and Yoongi had relationships before the big days, and now of course, Jimin’s psycho ex, but I’m curious outside of that. Also, it is truly none of my business, and at the end of the day, I truly do not care, but I’m just honestly curious. It’s okay to be single or have rarely dated, even if you’re in your thirties, no matter your career or occupation. I also have noticed how quick the label, their legal teams, and/or the Korean media is to hide and/or try to twist a story (maybe it’s to protect that particular artist, I understand that), but I remember seeing that video of Jungkook on Twitter maybe not even for 24 hours before people either stopped talking about it or it was somehow taken down. Again, I do not care. I support these guys until my ending days because of who they are. They seem to be hard-working and kind gentlemen who were raised very well by their parents. Them being talented and handsome are just a plus. Getting into K-pop was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m excited to see what’s in store for their future. With that being said, do y’all think BTS has ever dated privately, and if so, how do you think they went about that, where would they go on dates, and/or any other “theories” you may have on this subject matter. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my thread, and I appreciate any type of feedback! 💜 submitted by /u/havennoelle to r/kpop_uncensored [link] [comments]
