Hi, I’m looking at two stoves: the Coleman Cascade Classic and the Zempire Stealth. I can’t find any reviews for the Zempire, but it’s 3 lbs lighter, its air guard mechanism seems better, and it connects via a flexible tube wrapped in stainless steel. submitted by /u/krispykittydvp to r/CampingGear [link] [comments]

Camping stove recs? ...
Short version: Gonna take my old dog for a night or two camping with me this spring. Might want to grab a new stove. Used to camp a ton decades ago. But it's been a very long time. I have a tent, sleeping bag, pads, etc. And this won't be backpacking. Plan to get a site and set up tent next to truck and nearby fire pit. My old green Coleman dual burner stove has to be 45 years old, last used tailgating maybe 8 years ago? I also have one of those single burner Coleman ones that you pump, that's prob 40 years old. For what it's worth I did fire both up briefly a couple years ago to see if they worked. But I haven't looked at the state of the market for these in a long time. Thinking about something more recent. Weight isn't a huge factor since I won't be backpacking or hauling it anywhere for now (maybe some in the future, but nothing hardcore). And prob just for 1-2 people so single burner prob fine. As long as the price isn't crazy I don't mind spending more money on a good one. What do you recommend, and what fuel source do you think is the best for my scenario? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/impreza77 to r/CampingGear [link] [comments]

Looking for a camping stove recommendation for car camping. I'm seeing a lot of recs for $200+, any cheaper options?
Hopefully sub $100, great if it's something I can just pick up from Costco or Walmart. I'm looking for something that will last me forever (10-20+ years) to take car camping or use during emergencies. submitted by /u/westcoastsalamander to r/CampingGear [link] [comments]

Camp Stove
I’m thinking about getting this little camp stove. It’s powered with a 1 pound propane tank, but it says only Coleman style are allowed. Recommendations for a high quality camp stove?
It's time for me to get a new stove. For the last few years I've been hauling around my Weber Traveler grill and it's been great but takes a lot of space to transport. With my kids getting older and their stuff taking more room I now have less space for the grill. Does anyone have recommendations on a propane camp stove they love? Ideally, something suited to cooking for a small family. I car camp so it doesn't need to be ultra light either. Something that could last a life time even if it costs a bit more would be great. submitted by /u/redditseddit4u to r/camping [link] [comments]

stove advice please
Hi all, I love cooking while camping and it is typically just me and my Fiancée (kids in the distant future). Rei has a sale and we like coleman so we figured that’s the way to go. Any advice on which 2 burner stove to pick, what are the upgrades with the higher tier models? All i could garner was that the mid tier has a better simmer and the high tier has optional griddles. And if there are suggestions for other stoves that are better I am all ears! submitted by /u/RS_Tnap to r/camping [link] [comments]

What is your camping stove set up?
Hello all, my typical camping trip is to drive through dispersed camping sites and then set up my tent. I mostly just do hot dogs on a camp fire and s’mores or dehydrated food. I think it’s time for me to step up my food selection when camping (nothing crazy fancy, but I’m thinking of doing some pancakes and eggs for breakfast and maybe some simple steaks for dinner). Hauling space is not an issue as my truck bed is usually pretty empty with just my tent and sleeping bag. My budget is about $1k. I’ve been saving up and I’m a firm believer of getting high quality gear the first time around and I have zero kitchen gear except the roasting sticks so I know I have quite a bit to buy. Lastly, I’m looking for the kitchen set up to be able to accommodate 2 to 6 people. That’s usually the range of people I go camping with.
