RE:$25,000 Upperville Thoroughbred Hunter Derby Stream?
I think it’s great that the Upperville and Saratoga are hosting these. Really great horses in the Upperville class. It’s great to see true hunters out there doing their business. Hopefully this revitalizes the breed in the show ring and helps more great prospects land with successful careers after the track.

RE:The Official 2026 FIFA World Cup Thread
I guess the point is, going back to Widdecombe, is that people dont appreciate Kane because he is boring. Which if that's the measurement, then we should all hate Lineker, Shearer etc. as they were equally as dull and boring in their playing careers. But people don't.

This game 2 felt like the summary of the careers for KD vs LeBron
KD having a good individual performance but fails to be a leader and get his team involved (9 turnovers). Can never get over the hump to involve guys to be more of a threat to make his life easier. LeBron can take any squad and win with them because he's a general out there commanding players like his own chess pieces. Players play harder under LeBrons leadership because they know he will get them involved and ultimately win the game. Sad game for the rockets. Sengun is a fraud. The end. submitted by /u/Standard-Silver-102 to r/nba [link] [comments]

What careers have the best work/life balance while providing a livable wage?
I've spent most of my life in an extremely demanding field that occupies not only my time, but my mind - constantly thinking about work when home- always being "on call," and more issues. I'm looking to pivot to something totally different when I can get my pension and leave my current job. I'd love to work outside, with my hands, but mostly I want a job where I simply 'leave work at work.' submitted by /u/AtticThrowaway to r/findapath [link] [comments]

Best careers to escape poverty? I’ll start.
When I was growing up I was the “oh the waters off again,” go over to my friends house for food type of poor. While I initially went into nursing to simply have a stable job to feed myself I had no idea it’d literally make me the wealthiest person in my immediate family. People who changed careers after 30, was it worth it?
I’m curious to hear from people who made a career change after turning 30. Was it actually worth it in the long run, financially, mentally, or in terms of work-life balance? Looking back now, would you make the same decision again, or do anything differently? submitted by /u/Scary_Bus4383 to r/careerguidance [link] [comments]

Best careers to dive into 2026?
I'm 23 turning 24, haven't found a career yet what recommendations do you all have. I have explored tech but everything seems oversaturated according to the people in the field. I have also looked into having a career as a marine merchant didn't seem too bad. I'm also not opposed to higher education, I went three times but dropped out bc I couldn't find was right to me. Leading the US for a job doesn't seem bad either FIFO situation. I'm also bilingual(Spanish) if that helps. submitted by /u/Healthy-Eye-6241 to r/careerguidance [link] [comments]

If career growth matters, 100% remote is a trap
Remote work is fantastic for life balance, but here’s the harsh truth: if your goal is career growth, fully remote can actually hold you back. The people who can truly move your career: sponsors, mentors, decision-makers, aren’t part of your daily scheduled interactions. You don’t bump into them on Teams calls, and a “virtual lobby” won’t replicate hallway conversations. Real career-moving moments are unplanned: a quick chat by the coffee machine, overhearing a conversation that sparks an idea, or being in the right place at the right time. If you’re fully remote, those moments never happen. You’ll be productive but you will also be invisible to the very people who could open doors for you. Full disclosure: if you work for a tiny company, this doesn’t matter. In small teams, everyone interacts with everyone anyway. But in larger organizations, physical presence still gives you access to opportunities you can’t schedule or Slack your way into. submitted by /u/roseba to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]
