good skin prep, hydrating creme or gel creme, make sure you are HYDRATEDDDDD bc if shes gonna put that much makeup on you the base needs to breathe. less product use overall, if its good quaity you dont need a lot (good does not mean expensive) you can try a skin tint or cc cream or mix your foundation with your creme to make it more buildable for you.

Did It Cosmetics finally lower the price of the CC cream?
I’ve been using the It Cosmetics CC cream for 10 years and always cried at my bank account whenever I had to restock (I’m a drugstore makeup girl but this CC cream has a chokehold on me). I usually try to stock up during 21 Days of Beauty at Ulta but I was completely out earlier this month so I had to bite the bullet and pay the $47. I just checked my Ulta app and the CC cream is now $39 full price? Is this a Christmas miracle? submitted by /u/paleprincessssss to r/MakeupAddiction [link] [comments]

CC cream advice for male
Hi everyone. I’m a male in my 30’s and have lately found my confidence shaken a bit in social situations with constant flushing. I’ve read a lot of positive reviews on Eborian and Jart red CC cream Do you think this would help mask some of the redness and imperfections? I want it to be subtle…would be a nightmare for someone to ask if I’m wearing makeup lol. Thanks!! 🙏 submitted by /u/FeelingChemist6602 to r/Rosacea [link] [comments]

Recommendations for CC Cream or Tinted Moisturizer with good coverage
Like all of us, I have pretty bad melasma all over my face. I really don’t like to go out without some sort of makeup on. I have a full coverage foundation that I like, but I’m looking for recommendations for a CC cream or tinted moisturizer that would cover me enough to not feel totally self conscious. I want a “quick” coverage option with enough coverage for those quick moments requiring a 5 minute makeup routine. TIA! submitted by /u/MeganRN1981 to r/Melasmaskincare [link] [comments]

How do I apply a CC cream on top of sunscreen without disrupting sunscreen underneath?
Hi! I’m specifically talking about the Erborian cc cream, because it has encapsulated pigment and so you really have to rub it around and in to your skin for it to match. I feel like every time I do this I’m ruining the sunscreen I put underneath. I always let my sunscreen sink in for about 20 minutes before I do makeup but I still feel like that’s not enough. I use the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen that’s pretty lightweight and so I assume it moves around pretty easily. Is there any way to use the erborian cc cream on top without disrupting my sunscreen. submitted by /u/JaneDoe_ladyjane to r/Skincare_Addiction [link] [comments]

What’s your go-to foundation / BB-CC cream and concealer for a natural look?
Hi! I've just turned 30 and havent done any make up before. I’m trying to find a base routine that looks really natural (more “skin” than “makeup”). I don’t want anything heavy or full coverage — just something lightweight that evens things out and sits well during the day. What are your go-to: Foundation (if you use one) BB or CC cream alternatives Concealer that doesn’t look cakey or dry Bonus if it works well for everyday wear and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a lot 🙏 Would love to hear what’s worked for you! submitted by /u/Vivid-dream-176 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Update: dyed my hair, still figuring out the makeup (and hair)
The journey continues! I when darker with my hair and got curtain bangs. I think the bangs still need time to figure out how to lay. I got CC cream (Dr Jarts), brown mascara, a cooler colored eyebrow pen, and a better palette of cool browns (thank you Sephora beauty lesson). I’m still on the lookout for a *super* light brown, basically beige, eyeliner pencil (must be a pencil!) because every normal brown pencil looks black on me. I’ve been taking many selfies these last couple weeks but never posted because a) I wanted to wait until my hair was done, and b) the selfies would always show me that I’d put on way too much eyeshadow even though I could never tell as I was applying it (is there a certain type of lighting that’s ideal for makeup application?) The skincare journey also continues. I found a moisturizer that I like: Kiehl’s something. My next step is to find something that helps my rosacea. What do y’all think? bb vs cc cream recs?
i don’t wear much makeup because i don’t like the feeling of it. however, i’ve done some bb or cc creams over the past couple years that i’ve like because of the spf and the coverage without feeling heavy like foundation. my current one is expiring and it’s expensive so i’m hoping to find a good drug store brand to replace it. i was using super goop… i really like their tinted spf but most recently was using the cc cream. it’s nice but a little bit more coverage than i need and a bit pricey. the tinted spf was also nice but a bit *too* light as i like to have something i can either slap on for everyday wear or add blush and mascara for a date or something. i’ve also enjoyed maybeline’s bb cream which i consider purchasing again but felt like maybe there were some other well loved options y’all like that i could try first! for context i have very fair skin and it’s acne prone combination skin. thank y’all in advance! submitted by /u/areukittenme2 to r/Makeup [link] [comments]

low scented tinted moisturizer, CC, or BB cream with spf?
Total newbie here. I've never worn any makeup in my life. As I've gotten older my face has started to have more redness and unevenness. It's fairly dry. I currently only use a moisturizer and sunscreen on my face in the morning. I'm looking for recommendations for something lightly tinted with SPF to help moisturize and even out my skin a bit. I'm not interested in a whole makeup routine. I prefer things that are low/no-scent. Any suggestions on what I should try? submitted by /u/birdzwordz to r/40PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

BB cream vs CC cream
I'm trying to decide which looks better in me, the BB cream on the left side of my face or the CC cream on the right side. Or neither and the hunt goes on? With my older skin i don't want to get into heavy foundations so I thought to go with one of these. I did my best to get well lit and natural lighting pictures. And sorry I'm looking like death warmed over, I have absolutely no makeup on except the BB and CC creams. And it doesn't help that I hate having my pic taken. So here I am posting on Reddit for the world to see! 🤣 I also spoke with a doctor and am starting prescription strength Retinol night cream. I'm excited to get it. Best no makeup makeup foundation/bb cream/cc cream?
I am a new mom and don't have the time I used to in the morning to get ready to go out the door but I also don't like to go out without makeup. I am looking for something quick I could throw on that would even my skin tone and just make me look like I have slept lol I try to put on just a bit of mascara and a brow, but then I need concealer under my eyes (no sleep lol) but the concealer under my eyes makes it even more apparent that I don't have makeup on my face. I struggle with redness and dry skin as well. Does a product exist ? submitted by /u/Torfor4 to r/Makeup [link] [comments]

[Acne] Struggled with a decade of acne and been clear for 5 years. Here is everything I’ve tried vs everything that’s worked + my current routine.
pic 1: taken AFTER my accutane course. my acne here is still much better in this then it used to be. Apologies for the low quality, I hated pictures because I was super insecure hence why I don’t have ones from before accutane either. pic 2: makeup only on my eyes and lips, nothing on my skin except sunscreen and moisturizer. My eyebrows are microbladed. FULL DISCLOSURE #1: I am not a dermatologist nor a licensed esthetician. I am a registered nurse with a basic understanding of microbiology and human anatomy who has spent way too many hours on skincare YouTube. What I’ve detailed below is what worked for me, and by no means what works for everyone else. FULL DISCLOSURE #2: I’ve had pico laser done once in office to help with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation as well as laser removal of my flat facial moles. FULL DISCLOSURE #3: I am not sponsored by, nor do I have any conflict of interest with any of these brands I list. Things I’ve tried that didn’t work (before y’all come for me please remember that I started this journey when I was like 10 😂) - benzoyl peroxide (I am allergic 😭) - spironolactone - clay masks - scrubs/ physical exfoliation (St. Ives 😱) - peel off masks - salicylic acid acne clearing pads - proactiv (the entire set) - pore strips - Mario badescu drying lotion - witch hazel - Clinique clarifying lotion - 10 step Korean skin care routine (I didn’t curate it, I just bought blindly based off of what had good reviews 🤦‍♀️) - snail mucin - essence and/ or toner - Chinese medicine (I don’t even know what I was taking tbh.) - not moisturizing “because I was too oily” - any type of DIY mask (lemon juice, egg, honey, olive oil, yogurt, rice water, u name it) - topical clindamycin Things that worked but don’t currently use: - Accutane (I did a 6 month course; acne came back eventually but SO much improvement in severity) - CeraVe SA cleanser - rx Sodium Sulfacetamide cleanser (cleansing with sulfur is one of the things I truly believe saved my skin. I still break out when I go without my sulfur for too long. I think it’s bullshit when people say your face wash doesn’t matter - sulfur absolutely matters for me) - oral doxycycline (worked only while I was actively using, but was worried about antimicrobial resistance) - ZitSticka Skin Discipline multivitamin capsules (genuinely helped my skin but was too expensive and was able to wean off of them over the course of trial and error x 1 year) Current Regimen AM: - cleanse CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser - serum: glossier super pure (niacinamide and zinc - been repurchasing this for over 6 years now) - moisturizer: glossier after baume (my HG moisturizer: super thick and luxurious but doesn’t break me out) - sunscreen + vit c: melano CC sunscreen spf 50++++ PM - first cleanse: glossier milky jelly cleansing balm (doesn’t really matter what first step cleanser I use tbh. I’ve used banila co, the inkey list, CeraVe makeup balm, etc. as long as it removes makeup and sunscreen well I’m good) - second cleanse: Dermaharmony 5% Sulfur and 2% Salicylic Acid Liquid Castile Soap (I switched to this from using CeraVe SA + rx Sulfur cleanser because I was tired to carrying around 2 bottles as well as having to get an rx for my sulfur wash. I absolutely still need Salicylic acid AND sulfur in my regimen. - moisturizer: glossier after baume - agency skincare formula for hyperpigmentation: tretinoin 0.035% + tranexamic acid 5% + dexpanthenol 1% + niacinamide 4% - when I’m super dry, esp in the winter: Elizabeth Arden advanced ceramide capsule (I usually just use like 1/3 of a capsule and leave the rest in the clean spot for later. Glossier future dew works okay too, just doesn’t spread as nicely) + I skip my retinol for a night General rules (these are also critically important) 1. Don’t touch your face unless you’ve just washed your hands. 2. Dedicate a towel for your face and treat it like it’s sterile. Don’t use it for anything else but your face. Don’t hang it near the toilet (invisible fecal particles erupt from your toilet when u flush). 3. Change your face towel and your pillowcases at LEAST every 4ish days. I like to do every 2. I have a million old T-shirts that can be used as pillowcases. When a side gets “old”, flip it to the other side and you’re gucci. 4. Pat when you’re drying with a towel. Be gentle. Don’t rub your face ever. I also prefer to lather my face wash with a foaming net until I have a thick, dense cloud. You don’t want to be tugging or manually scrubbing at your skin. Let the micro bubbles do the work. 5. Please wash that damn makeup sponge/ brush with soap and water after every use 😩 and deep clean with boiling water if it’s safe to do so every couple of uses. I just throw my wet beauty blender in the microwave with some water in a bowl for 3 minutes every 6-7 uses (the manufacturer does not recommend this as it may cause the blender to deform or lose integrity. I’ve never had an issue. Move forward at your own discretion) Treat your makeup like it’s sterile too - only a clean brush/ clean finger is allowed to touch it. Sorry it’s so long! I hope this helps someone :) submitted by /u/plaesma to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

12 days post deep plane facelift
It’s only been 12 days, but I’m happy with the results so far! Here are the details: I’m 50 years old, and had a deep plane facelift and neck lift, along with a temporal brow lift and partial fat transfer. I opted for a deep plane facelift to address the jowls and skin laxity in my lower face. I was unhappy with my profile and was beginning to develop a gobbler. The skin droop in my lower face worsened after several rounds of Botox injections in my masseter muscles. The Botox never fully wore off, while it slimmed my face, I lacked the structural support to prevent the skin droopiness. I wanted to avoid fillers and invest in a solution that would give natural, long-term results. My surgeon believes that a temporary brow lift is necessary for aesthetic purposes and to prevent any rippling near the temples after a facelift. The fat transfer was to address the hollowness in certain areas. I have to admit that I was overly optimistic about the recovery time. I had envisioned myself returning to work within a week, and while I was aware of the effects of surgery, I wholly underestimated the extent of them: Black eyes LOTS of swelling A feeling of a band under my neck Numbness and shooting pains Emotional and mental challenges I didn’t have drains, and my surgeon didn’t have me wear a chin strap. The first 48 hours were challenging. I experienced a severe headache that was almost unbearable and even Norco didn’t even help, but it gradually subsided on day 3. I had to take Tylenol every 4 to 6 hours for the first week. Currently, I take Tylenol and ibuprofen about twice a day. The swelling and tightness can be quite uncomfortable at times. It feels like there’s a tight band under my neck, but it improves each day. My face is extremely tender and sensitive in my cheeks, under my chin and the areas near my ears. I had a noticeable improvement on day 8, but I still have significant swelling. I experience sharp shooting pains in and around my right ear where I have the most swelling. My salivary glands are highly sensitive, and whenever I bite into food, it’s really painful on both sides. It’s like that intense, burning sensation you get when you bite into something extremely sour, except x10. I discovered it’s called “first bite syndrome.” My surgeon assured me that it’s normal after surgery and will gradually improve over time. Around day 5, I fell into a mental pothole, questioning my life choices. Day 7 my sutures were removed. On day 9, I decided to put on some makeup and use color corrector to cover any remaining bruising. Applying makeup and doing my hair made me look a bit less busted, which made me feel better. I used It cosmetics CC cream, that stuff does wonders for coverage. I’m still healing, still very swollen, but I’m very happy with my results so far. I can’t wait to see how this all settles down over the next few months! submitted by /u/stevieejoy to r/PlasticSurgery [link] [comments]

Does no makeup count as bad makeup? My best friend got married and gifted the bridesmaids their makeup. She paid $60 per bridesmaid for a “full face”. I guess that means CC cream, eyeliner, and mascara.
