I think my skin is still burned after months - cocokind ceramide barrier serum completely burned my skin in seconds months back. Please tell me how to fix my skin I’m begging!
I am 26f, and I wanted to try a new serum out of curiosity because I heard tons of People with sensitive skin love this serum. My fault for not patch testing but the way it was marketed, I really thought it would soothe or at least be good on my skin. I have very dry and VERY sensitive skin. I get rosacea and eczema has only really appeared during cold stark winter days (live on the east coast) and tend to get tons of cystic acne on my chin only during my period. When my face stings in the past from being dry I lather it with my fav serum (cicafilate + serum from avene or the thermal water from the same company) Prior to the face burn, I used a lot of kbeauty so it would be a rotation between round lab gel cream, and skin1004 cleansing oil (morning) + their foam cleanser at night followed by their face cream. My skin enjoyed those products a lot. But post face burn I couldn’t use those because it stung so bad and I’m So afraid to again. As I’ve said, the burn happened in Nov of last year, but I still get major stinging sensation and burning feeling on my face. Post burn, I only use the vanicream cleansing bar on my face to wash it night and day and the big tub of moisturizing cream they have and it’s been fine. I also use personal day hypochlorus spray here and there when I have a cystic acne flare up but do find it drying. I tried to re introduce the cicafilate serum recently but it seems maybe I still can’t. The cystic acne came back worse for weeks, and now it’s kind of just sitting under the skin. I have such a hard time not popping the white heads when they come up though. After cleansing my face with the vanicream bar tonight, I put the same cream (vanicream) I put a lot on because my face is so dry but I noticed my face got hot quick and this is the aftermath. It’s really red and the other days lately it’s been the same. I went to a dermatologist to see if he could help me and he said vanicream was OK and to keep up with it. But then he told me to use done sensitive skin bar (I didn’t) because I was already using vanicream and that didn’t burn me. He didn’t have any idea what any of the kbeauty products were that I was using and kind of ignored me when I showed him what I used prior to the burn. Also without letting me know / asking me if he can - he started to crunch my hair and look around for dandruff which he said I had and prescribed me metro cream to use only but didn’t explain why or what it was for. I didn’t go back because he was far away but he also creeped me out (I had a tank top on under my sweater and he had to see me in my tank to check out a raised mole and he seemed weirdly happy to see me in the tank top and it was just very creepy. I love avene cicafilate+ line but maybe my skin needs to become more healed? Post burn, I just washed my face with water for 4 weeks and it was still stinging like it Is now. All this being said HOW can I fix my skin!! I can’t afford a derm because I lost my good insurance. Please help me. submitted by /u/Mission_Remote_6319 to r/FragranceFreeBeauty [link] [comments]

Please give me tips / advice on how to improve visible pores on my dry, dehydrated
Hello all! 😊 29 yo, Female here. Visible pores have been a constant skin concern of mine ever since. Just looking to see if there’s still any way I can do to improve the appearance of my pores. I’m not really oily or acne prone. My skin is more on the dry, dehydrated side and sensitive (hence the redness). My current skincare routine includes: Cetaphil pink cleanser, TO glycolic acid (every 2-3 days) Hada Labo, TO Alpha Arbutin, Biore/Skin Aqua sunscreen, Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream. I don’t know if my skincare routine is enough for my skincare concern. Or if I should introduce other ingredients / products to help address it. I’ve been researching and found that Niacinamide serum can help with visible pores. Here are some products that I’ve been considering, would love to hear your thoughts on this (if it worked for you or not): - Dermorepubliq 5% Niacinamide + HA serum - Frankly Closer Pore Reducing Serum - Dr. Sensitive Niacinamide + Salicylic Acid - Skin1004 Poremizing Fresh Ampoule Any other tips/advice/suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Thank you so much guys! 😊 submitted by /u/Which_Platform4068 to r/skincarephilippines [link] [comments]

Best Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. My Honest Review & Recommendation
Hi everyone, I have extremely sensitive skin. My skin gets red easily with temperature changes, and if I use a product that doesn’t suit me, I break out almost immediately. Especially products that feel like they clog my pores. In the past I used scrubs and peeling products regularly because I thought exfoliation would help. But it actually made the itching and dryness worse. Later I found out that scrubs and strong exfoliants are the worst for my skin. Recently I had a skin type test at a dermatology clinic, and they told me that I have widely distributed sebaceous glands across my entire T-zone. That explains why my T-zone becomes oily and shiny with just a slightly rich product, while my cheeks stay dry and flaky. It was honestly stressful not knowing how to manage both at the same time. I realized that most of my skin issues were caused by a damaged skin barrier. So I started looking for the best face moisturizer for sensitive skin based on very specific criteria. I wanted a product that: - Improves the skin barrier with consistent use - Maintains oil and moisture balance and keeps hydration even with one application - Can be used without irritation in any skin condition - Does not clog pores - Is fragrance-free I carefully selected 3 products and used each one until I finished the entire jar. - Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream - Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream - COSRX Skin Barrier Moisturizer Honestly all three products were good in their own way. I realized that if you clearly understand your skin type, your current concerns, and what you expect from a product, you can find the best face moisturizer for sensitive skin for yourself. However the one I finally settled on was Illiyoon. My top priority was skin barrier protection, and this product matched that goal the best. It kept my sensitive and dry skin hydrated without irritation. Even with just one layer the dryness improved noticeably. The areas that used to get red and sting when my skin was dry felt much calmer and more comfortable. For me this truly became the best face moisturizer for sensitive skin. If you also have sensitive skin, struggle with extreme dryness, or even deal with oily yet acne-prone skin, I’d love to know if you’ve found your own best face moisturizer for sensitive skin. Please share your experience. My skin type is oily and sensitive. I live in a cold area. Current routine? mild foam cleanser, vitamin c serum, and moisturizer I'm reviewing. No complicated steps. Length of use before review is over 4 months. submitted by /u/ReasonableMango8798 to r/AsianBeauty [link] [comments]

I cannot believe the difference from 24 days ago thanks to asking for advice!
I came asking for help with all the fine lines on my face and you guys delivered! I didn’t realize just how dehydrated my face was and that I was due for some changes in routine. I wasn’t expecting my skin to change so much already (I’m 33) but clearly I needed some changes! I’m so thankful for this group 🤍 New routine: So I cleanse at night only and then I do all the other steps both morning and night. At night I’ve been slugging with aquaphor but I’ve gone down to only 2-3 days a week for that now. La roche posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser for Dry Skin Milky toner from Paula’s choice The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides Then at night for moisturizer I’m using CALM Rescue & Repair Intensive Moisturizer Paula’s choice Morning moisturizer is Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer I use DRMTGLY tinted moisturizer with spf but it’s been pilling lately with the new changes so I think I’m going to be on the hunt for another one. Id like to work retinol back in eventually but I’m scared because I think that was one of the products that messed up my barrier in the first place 🤷🏻♀️ submitted by /u/weddingaccount060417 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

[B&A] [Selfie] 2 weeks into my ‘glass skin’ journey!
(Top photos are today, bottom photos are 2 weeks ago. Taken in the same bathroom no filters) A little over 2 weeks ago, my daughter (9) told me I look 42… I’m 28. So I decided to deep dive on taking care of my skin. I didn’t have all of the time in the world to develop a perfect routine so I went to Chat GPT and had it create a routine for ‘glass skin’ based on pictures of my skin using only Korean products as that’s what I’ve historically had the best success with. These before and after shots are only 2 weeks apart! I’m not an expert on the subject but right now I’m fixing my skin barrier and strengthening it before adding any actives. For background, I have rosacea and very fair, very sensitive, combination skin. This has been the only routine that has ever worked THIS well for me! AM: 1. Lukewarm water 2. I’m From Rice Toner 3. BOJ calming serum (green tea + panthenol) 4. Isntree aqua gel moisturizer 5. Isntree watery sun gel PM: 1. Manyo oil cleanser 2. BOJ green plum cleanser 3. I’m From Rice Toner 4. BOJ calming serum 5. Cosrx snail mucin Starting today it has recommended I switch from I’m from rice toner to Anua 77 heartleaf toner + add in Illiyoon ceramide cream on top of the cosrx snail mucin as the ‘sealing layer’ of my nightly routine. If anyone has gotten this far, thank you and I’d love to hear your experience on which toner you prefer between I’m From vs Anua Still a long way to go until glass skin but really happy with the results so far! submitted by /u/Raisingryn to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

What can I use to repair my burned skin barrier? Cocokind barrier serum burned my skin
25F here. Hi! I used the cocokind ceramide barrier serum Friday night. It’s now Sunday night but on that night the serum Completely burned my skin. Red splotches Everywhere and my entire face was beet red and in so much pain. I typically have good skin but I do have those little bumps that look like hidden acne that I never really figured out how to get rid of. I get pretty bad hormonal / cystic acne in my chin / jawline area during that time of month but because my periods been skipping, the acne in those spots haven’t really gone away. As soon as the serum burned my skin in minutes I quickly washed with cold water and put my round lab birch juice moisturizing cream. Next morning I just rinsed with water and put the cream on again and repeated at night. I also in between sprayed my avene thermal spring water spray which I think had helped with the stinging. Because I worked out in public the following day, that night I worked I did cleanse my face with the skin1004 cleansing oil and spray, then put on the birch cream again. I’ve now rotated to the cleansing oil, spray and drowning my face in the cicafilate + serum because I’m used to that one and I heard it’s more helpful at barrier repair. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and dry, and I never had such a terrible reaction to a product. My barrier is obviously damaged, but I don’t have funds to go to a derm. I was wondering what I could use to repair my barrier and if I’m doing anything wrong / right so far with my skincare since the burn? Do I need aquaphor? I’m not sure what to do.. my skin still stings throughout the day and I could tell at night the most red areas that burned most come back up around my cheeks… thanks! submitted by /u/Mission_Remote_6319 to r/FragranceFreeBeauty [link] [comments]

[Acne] Struggled with a decade of acne and been clear for 5 years. Here is everything I’ve tried vs everything that’s worked + my current routine.
pic 1: taken AFTER my accutane course. my acne here is still much better in this then it used to be. Apologies for the low quality, I hated pictures because I was super insecure hence why I don’t have ones from before accutane either. pic 2: makeup only on my eyes and lips, nothing on my skin except sunscreen and moisturizer. My eyebrows are microbladed. FULL DISCLOSURE #1: I am not a dermatologist nor a licensed esthetician. I am a registered nurse with a basic understanding of microbiology and human anatomy who has spent way too many hours on skincare YouTube. What I’ve detailed below is what worked for me, and by no means what works for everyone else. FULL DISCLOSURE #2: I’ve had pico laser done once in office to help with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation as well as laser removal of my flat facial moles. FULL DISCLOSURE #3: I am not sponsored by, nor do I have any conflict of interest with any of these brands I list. Things I’ve tried that didn’t work (before y’all come for me please remember that I started this journey when I was like 10 😂) - benzoyl peroxide (I am allergic 😭) - spironolactone - clay masks - scrubs/ physical exfoliation (St. Ives 😱) - peel off masks - salicylic acid acne clearing pads - proactiv (the entire set) - pore strips - Mario badescu drying lotion - witch hazel - Clinique clarifying lotion - 10 step Korean skin care routine (I didn’t curate it, I just bought blindly based off of what had good reviews 🤦♀️) - snail mucin - essence and/ or toner - Chinese medicine (I don’t even know what I was taking tbh.) - not moisturizing “because I was too oily” - any type of DIY mask (lemon juice, egg, honey, olive oil, yogurt, rice water, u name it) - topical clindamycin Things that worked but don’t currently use: - Accutane (I did a 6 month course; acne came back eventually but SO much improvement in severity) - CeraVe SA cleanser - rx Sodium Sulfacetamide cleanser (cleansing with sulfur is one of the things I truly believe saved my skin. I still break out when I go without my sulfur for too long. I think it’s bullshit when people say your face wash doesn’t matter - sulfur absolutely matters for me) - oral doxycycline (worked only while I was actively using, but was worried about antimicrobial resistance) - ZitSticka Skin Discipline multivitamin capsules (genuinely helped my skin but was too expensive and was able to wean off of them over the course of trial and error x 1 year) Current Regimen AM: - cleanse CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser - serum: glossier super pure (niacinamide and zinc - been repurchasing this for over 6 years now) - moisturizer: glossier after baume (my HG moisturizer: super thick and luxurious but doesn’t break me out) - sunscreen + vit c: melano CC sunscreen spf 50++++ PM - first cleanse: glossier milky jelly cleansing balm (doesn’t really matter what first step cleanser I use tbh. I’ve used banila co, the inkey list, CeraVe makeup balm, etc. as long as it removes makeup and sunscreen well I’m good) - second cleanse: Dermaharmony 5% Sulfur and 2% Salicylic Acid Liquid Castile Soap (I switched to this from using CeraVe SA + rx Sulfur cleanser because I was tired to carrying around 2 bottles as well as having to get an rx for my sulfur wash. I absolutely still need Salicylic acid AND sulfur in my regimen. - moisturizer: glossier after baume - agency skincare formula for hyperpigmentation: tretinoin 0.035% + tranexamic acid 5% + dexpanthenol 1% + niacinamide 4% - when I’m super dry, esp in the winter: Elizabeth Arden advanced ceramide capsule (I usually just use like 1/3 of a capsule and leave the rest in the clean spot for later. Glossier future dew works okay too, just doesn’t spread as nicely) + I skip my retinol for a night General rules (these are also critically important) 1. Don’t touch your face unless you’ve just washed your hands. 2. Dedicate a towel for your face and treat it like it’s sterile. Don’t use it for anything else but your face. Don’t hang it near the toilet (invisible fecal particles erupt from your toilet when u flush). 3. Change your face towel and your pillowcases at LEAST every 4ish days. I like to do every 2. I have a million old T-shirts that can be used as pillowcases. When a side gets “old”, flip it to the other side and you’re gucci. 4. Pat when you’re drying with a towel. Be gentle. Don’t rub your face ever. I also prefer to lather my face wash with a foaming net until I have a thick, dense cloud. You don’t want to be tugging or manually scrubbing at your skin. Let the micro bubbles do the work. 5. Please wash that damn makeup sponge/ brush with soap and water after every use 😩 and deep clean with boiling water if it’s safe to do so every couple of uses. I just throw my wet beauty blender in the microwave with some water in a bowl for 3 minutes every 6-7 uses (the manufacturer does not recommend this as it may cause the blender to deform or lose integrity. I’ve never had an issue. Move forward at your own discretion) Treat your makeup like it’s sterile too - only a clean brush/ clean finger is allowed to touch it. Sorry it’s so long! I hope this helps someone :) submitted by /u/plaesma to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

Forehead wrinkles before & after (9 months progress)
I just realised it's been 9 months between these two photos, and I had to share because I'm honestly so happy with the progress. 😊 In my late 20s, I started noticing wrinkles forming on my forehead. Once I hit 30, I embarked on the mission to get rid of them. I have dry and sensitive skin, so the first step for me was fixing my skin barrier. Once I focused on hydration and barrier support first, everything else started to fall into place. What is the best serum you’ll always repurchase?
I’m 21 years old and i have sensitive combo/oily skin that is rosacea, psoriasis, and acne prone. I also have some texture and closed comedones. I’m planning to make a YesStyle order and would love to try new products. I’m also planning on getting the Eqqualberry swimming pool toner (please lmk if it’s worth the price) so I want a solid serum to pair it with. I want a serum that will make me not want to try any other serum as I don’t have the money to keep on trying new things. My concerns: - acne and psoriasis prone. - very stubborn PIE. - acne scars. - skin texture. - clogged pores. My current routine: - Skin1004 cleanser. - BOJ red bean mask OR House of Hur toner pads (once a week for exfoliation) - Numbuzin no.1 toner. - Anua rice ceramide serum. - Purito oat-in moisturizer. Serums I have tried & liked (but want better): - Anua rice ceramide serum. - Purito wonder releaf serum. - Skin1004 madagascar centella ampoule. submitted by /u/Old-Atmosphere-3923 to r/koreanskincare [link] [comments]

My skin is too dehydrated no matter what I do :(
For context, I have dry skin and live in an extremely dry climate. I have tried different moisturizing products, even popular ones recommended here to keep my skin hydrated but to no avail. My skin looks awful and it ages me so much! I had people even asking if I moisturized my skin at all cause it looks so dry🥲 Starting to think of discarding my current routine and starting fresh, so any advice/insights would be appreciated! My current routine is: AM: - Wash with water - I’m From Rice Toner - Melano CC vitamin C - Pyukang Yul Ato Cream - Biore AquaRich sunscreen PM: - Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser - I’m From Rice Toner - Active: Tretinoin/Paula Choice 2% BHA (alternating) - ANUA Rice Ceramide 7 Hydrating Barrier Serum - Pyukang Yul Ato Cream I also wonder if I should pause using all the actives for the time being, especially tretinoin since I feel it is one of the culprits that’s been drying out my skin. submitted by /u/ThrowRA84180 to r/koreanskincare [link] [comments]

Chemist's Review: Luxe Organix Retinol + Gluta Youthful Radiance Whitening Serum Lotion
Next, Polyglyceryl-10, what? Incomplete yung ingredient name. Amoy poon yung fragrance. May microfoaming during application.

Can we honestly talk about Sephora’s high prices?? How does anyone even afford make up anymore? Especially from here! I’m gonna have to stick to drugstore and dupes because with todays inflation I just can’t afford this!!

Anyone tried the Cetaphil Ceramide Serum?
As the title states, I’m curious if anyone has tried this new serum from cetaphil. All the reviews I’ve seen online are “incentived” which I’m always a little skeptical of. I’m looking for some extra skin barrier support right now because the dry air in my house and workplace from having the heat running so much is really taking a toll. I’ve never really had dry skin before but it’s been sooo dry the last couple of weeks, which of course is not great for my type 1 rosacea. I love my cleanser + moisturizer but I just need a little hydration boost and thought something like this might be good. I looked at The Ordinary Barrier Serum but it didn’t seem like a good choice for sensitive skin. I’ve also considered the Prequel HA serum so if you’ve tried that I’d love to hear your thoughts too! submitted by /u/decaf-espresso16 to r/Rosacea [link] [comments]

Five Years of Tretinoin
I recently joined Reddit and was so excited to find this thread. I’ve noticed a bunch of posts going through what I call the tret dread. Just wanted to come on here and say it gets better. I spent all of my teen years with the worst acne, hyperpigmentation, texture, you name it. Now I’m the girl everyone else asks for skincare advice. For reference, my history with tret started late 2019. My first exposure to retinoids was adapalene (differin), and then I started using apostrophe for a compounded tretinoin formula. Within a year I went from 0.025 - 0.05 - 0.1%. So I’ve been using the highest strength of tretinoin for about four and a half years. Recently I’ve found myself feeling unhappy with my skin not being “glass skin.” Definitely went through an overconsumption of skincare in the last year, heavily influenced by social media estheticians. For 2025, I decided to take a more minimal approach and focus on tret. Started to realize I was probably buffering my tret too much by having such an extensive serum filled routine. Not sure where everyone is in their journey but for the past few months, I focused on oil cleansing (the oil is like a magnet for all the dead skin shedding and helps so much with dryness), a gel cleanser, skinfix barrier repair cream (I need a super rich & thick cream to be able to tolerate tret well, this is the only cream that I found that has the perfect combination of hydration & moisturizing properties also the peptides and ceramides are amazing) and an spf 50-70. If you’re currently in the tret dread stage. I believe in you. You got this 🙏🏼🧿 *all photos are unfiltered and taken on an iPhone submitted by /u/rpsi321 to r/tretinoin [link] [comments]

Favourite ceramide-heavy products that aren’t moisturisers (e.g. serums, essences etc) for barrier strength?
