Maybe you don't meet enough of a range of people... 55, 158, 165, 255, 255 Music, 265, 570, 955, 955 Solar, 970... Why? Coros is just Pace 3, Pace 4, and Pace Pro, in comparison. And has a battery that'll last a week more. I'm sure if it was bad they would reject using it. They have a lot more to lose by using the wrong tools than you or I do.

My running journey started with a Mi Band 6 (non-GPS) back in April 2025, which I replaced with the Mi Band 10 in July 2025. I have been running at least twice a week since then. In November 2025, I received a hand-me-down Forerunner 55, which was my first experience with an actual running watch. Since it was even older than my Mi Band 6, the battery was a major issue. It actually died at the 28km mark during marathon race day, right at the 2:30 point of the race. I was considering getting a Forerunner 165 or a Pace Pro, but then I remembered what I really needed: a fantastic battery, reliable GPS, and personalized running plans. So, I decided to go with the Pace 4 since it’s the latest model and just works for me perfectly. Pros: Battery Life: Started at 93% out of the box and has handled everything I've thrown at it. After 4 days, 2 runs, and 3 indoor cycles, I’m still at 66%. This thing is a beast! Media Control (New Feature?): I accidentally discovered that I can control my music while running with my phone. I didn’t use it because I was already on shuffle playlist. Cons: Sleep Tracking: It’s a bit sensitive. It logged a "nap" while I was just on my phone chatting. My old Mi Band 6 actually still holds the crown for best sleep tracking. Maps: I don’t need it because I usually run in familiar areas. Plus, I’m not planning to use Breadcrumb navigation anyway. Hey all! bit of an interesting one Been a garmin user since 2018, have had the forerunner 265s since June 2023. Put some good use into it (run about 50k ~week). My gf is getting into running and wants to buy her first watch. She really wants music capabilities and is a big fan of the garmin spotify integration. but the forerunner 265s is out of budget for her. Conversely, I dont really care about the music integrations on the watch. I'm considering switching to the Coros Pace 4 and giving her my Garmin instead. Would this be worth it? I bought this watch on the 16th of January, and by the 21st of January, it was unusable. Up until this point it was fine, until I was at work, went to look at the watch face and it was black, and would not turn on. My first thought was maybe it had ran out of battery (even though it should’ve been on ~80% as I charged it the night prior), so when I went home to charge it I was perplexed at the notification that showed up. This screen only shows up when plugged into power and you cannot get it away- you can’t turn it off or anything, and when you try and connect it to your phone to turn off, it will not connect. I immediately contacted their customer service via live chat (which was ai) and I kept going around in circles. Eventually the ai conceded that I would need to contact a real person via email to help me upgrade the firmware. So I then contact coros via email, and guess what? The email is ran by AI as well!! The ai tells me all I need to do is plug my watch into my computer, download a file and then drop it into the “Pace 4 > Upgrade” folder. Lo and behold the website that the ai sends me to doesn’t even exist! I explain this, and the ai then sends me another website… to which of course leads to another 404. Eventually the ai again concedes it needs a real person to help me, so it adds me to the list of poor people who need help. You can imagine how pleased I was 2 days later to finally get an email, only for it to contain: “This is an automated update to let you know we still have your ticket (#438608) in our queue and it’s being reviewed. Due to increased request volume, it may take longer than usual for one of our live agents to connect with you. Rest assured, your request hasn’t been lost, and you will receive a response as soon as we can get to it.” It has now been 2 days since that email, 4 days since my watch became useless and I have no idea when I will be able to use a watch again. This is unbelievably frustrating as I run 6 days a week, including frequent interval sessions which I am having to do blind, with no idea of my pacing or rest periods. I have seen there was another poster who had the same issue with the pace 3, and he eventually got a replacement, so I can’t wait for another week of waiting for a replacement to arrive! Hey team, Loving my Pace 4 but considering on returning it. Elevation jumps up for no reason without me being in another place. The reps count is always inaccurate when I'm doing weight training, I have to always adjust it each set. Love the hardware (small/light), but the data is unreliable: GPS accuracy: kilometer splits and distance don’t match reality Dropouts: frequent GPS signal loss mid‑run Elevation: readings are inaccurate and very jagged/“saw‑toothed” This makes structured training tough. Hello all, i'm a Garmin Forerunner 165 user who's contemplating making a switch to a Coros pace 4. Before I make the switched i'd like to ask you coros users about any potential downsides of the pace4 and/or coros in general. My main reason for planning to make the switch is that back when I first bought my fr165 I was just beginning to get into structured training so I hadn't wanted to drop so much money on a watch so I just got the most entry level running garmin I could find (i was coming from a garmin venu before that). Now that i'm more serious about running I want a watch with more running metrics, better gps (i run in a city so the fr165 gps sometimes gets messy) and better battery. I also want access to the extra metrics the coros pod 2 can give me hence the switch from garmin to coros, because to my knowledge pod 2 doesnt work with non-coros and a stryd is too expensive for me to be willing to buy. Pace 4 seems like the best value I can get, was considering the Pace Pro too since the price difference isn't too huge. Been a garmin user for 3 years now but after recent 1 week trial of using coros pace 3, I fully switch to COROS ecosystem for this new year. I sold my coros pace 3 that I just got and upgrade to PACE 4 lol. I loss a bit of money in the process but I didn't regret it. Worth the upgrade the new WHITE pace 4 is much more cleaner! I accidentally dropped my coros pace 4 and found it after a couple of hours (very lucky) but only after a few cars passed over it (not so lucky). Screen is intact (very lucky) but back is all damaged (not so lucky) - see pic. Any ideas on what can/should i do? Options I see are: 1. Do nothing. HR sensor might not be perfect/deteriorate soon, but i can use a HR monitor if need be. 2. Return it (i am still in the return window) hoping they would issue a refund or accept an exchange. I am not convinced they would. 3. Try to fix it somehow, but no idea what to do. Hello, I used AI to structure my post and make it easier to understand. After several years with Apple Watches (Series 7, 9, then 10), I decided to switch to a more sports-oriented watch. I really liked the Apple Watch for its interface and the accuracy of its heart rate sensors, especially compared to gym equipment and a Polar chest strap—it was identical—but the one-day battery life and the lack of real sports data frustrated me. Also, I was fed up with the constant notifications: I wanted something more understated, with less "noise." So I switched to a Garmin Forerunner 165, which suited me quite well overall. The sensors seemed reliable, but I had a few frustrations: • Interface not always intuitive • Limited notification management options • Somewhat bland design Having heard great things about Coros, and attracted by the cleaner design of the Pace 4 (especially the crown, which is somewhat reminiscent of the Apple Watch), I decided to give it a try. On paper, it seemed to address the shortcomings I found with Garmin. ⸻ My profile • Weight training, running, cardio, and bodyweight exercises • 3 to 5 workouts per week • VO₂ max: 54 • Léger test: level 11 • Half marathon in 2 hours 15 minutes, relaxed, without a time goal. ⸻ My impressions after 1 week with the Coros Pace 4 Unfortunately, the disappointment is real. First impression: the watch seems "unfinished" in terms of software and algorithms. ❌ Heart rate sensor This is the most problematic point for me. The heart rate data is clearly inconsistent, both during strength training and cardio. Yet, the band is tight, and I'm used to comparing my data with: • Apple Watch • Garmin • Polar chest strap Here, the discrepancies are too significant to ignore. ❌ Screen and Readability • The screen turns off far too quickly • Not enough time to properly analyze data during exercise • Settings are too limited in this regard ❌ Customization • Very limited customization options for watch faces • Overall interface is quite rigid • It's nowhere near Apple's ergonomics, and even lags behind Garmin in my opinion ❌ Overall Impression The watch feels cheap in terms of software: • Unconvincing algorithms • Lack of data detail • Overall accuracy doesn't reassure me The watch's hardware is decent, but that's not enough when data reliability is at stake. ⸻ Conclusion I had a lot I had high hopes for the Coros Pace 4, but after a week of use, it clearly doesn't live up to my expectations. Between the inaccuracy of the sensors, the still-developing software, and the lack of customization, I don't have the same confidence I had with Apple or Garmin. At this point, I'm thinking of selling the Coros and going back to a Garmin Forerunner 165, which, despite its flaws, seems more reliable and polished. I got this immediately after seeing it in the Kobe Marathon Expo last week. Having rocked the Pace 3 for almost a year, the new AMOLED display is an awesome upgrade in my opinion. The battery life is excellent too. I could tell that this has a longer battery life than my Pace 3. I am looking forward to my future activities with this watch. It seems promising so far. P.S. Hey r/COROS I'm back with my review of the Pace 4! I did a similar post when the Apex 4 came out and it seemed like people liked it. I've had a couple review units for the last couple of weeks and just got my full review with all my thoughts, as well as an objective performance review, up at https://youtu.be/D__WYl_76O4 To give a very brief overview of the new Pace 4: Incredibly lightweight at 40g with silicone band and (reportedly) 31g with a new nylon band to be released soon Priced at just $249 in the US 1.2" AMOLED for a brighter display Great battery life, outperforming both the Pace 3 and Pace Pro in many metrics I get into a LOT more detail in my video and while I'm not one of the 'big reviewers' hopefully I can offer some unique insight or additional depth that would make the video worth your time. Biggest changes I noticed: Display: AMOLED vs. MIP (same as the Pace Pro — looks great, but that’s expected). Battery: Huge improvement! Almost double the battery life compared to the Pace 3. Check the charts — it’s seriously impressive. Action button: An action button is added on the side where no buttons were present. see below for specs. Downsides: Still no full mapping, only breadcrumb navigation. Still just 4 GB of storage (compared to 32 GB on the Pro). No support for Spotify or other music platforms. And surprisingly, the P4 is heavier than the P3 — even if it’s just 1–2 grams more (with the nylon band), that’s a bit of a letdown for me. So… will you buy it? 🤔 I currently have the Pace 3, and after seeing the specs I’m honestly not as convinced anymore...
