i have an event this summer and the dress code is “dressy casual — think sundresses or nice tops with dress pants.” in theory there’s a ton of examples of what to wear for this. the problem is i don’t really wear dresses, but the even bigger glaring issue is my style is very alternative/ y2k and i wear sneakers (cute ones) 99% of the time. so i don’t own any dressy casual, and finding alt, summer, dressy casual inspo has been HARD. i also have vivid dyed hair so its not as though i can just say whatever and dress more “normal” for the day without looking insanely mismatched. even just looking through all the general clothes sites at what dresses they have in stock makes me itch because why is everything so trad wife core and or boring??? anyways i guess what im asking for is plus size alt summer dressy casual outfit inspo?? help?? links?? idk i’m at a loss. just help me 😂😂😂 here’s what i like in dresses: fit and flare or a-line (tight waistline is the real priority here), shorter than knee length but not so short my ass will be out, preferably with short sleeves so i’m not made triply uncomfortable by having to wear a strapless bra. submitted by /u/allofatwist1738 to r/PlusSizeFashion [link] [comments]
