New Gaming PC crashing but not sure why
Hello - Im at a loss here, so honestly, any advice would be great. 2 Weeks ago, I bought a Cyberpower Gaming PC and have already started experiencing random crashes. At first it was while playing games, then while booting up. Specifications below: Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core (4.20 GHz) RAM: 32GB Graphics Cards: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 (12BG) AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics (486 MB) Storage: 1TB (Windows 11) What happens? - Mid game (randomly, no pattern), My monitor goes black and the graphics card stops running. I am able to hear discord and any music, but my game closes and my monitor does not detect any signal. I have to restart my entire system in order do anything. Things I tried: - Reinstalling Drivers - Repeating GPU (GeForce) - Checked all internal connections - Removed the PC from extension cord to direct wall outlet - The GPU was originally part of a daisy chain (Work purposes). Removed it. - Updating CPU: My CPu was out of date by a year. I tried to update but I was only able to update halfway through the year before the computer would refuse to accept any further updates. It would do the same as mentioned above. CPU type: ASROCK Model B850M-C. I was able to now update it to ver3.5. - Cleared CMOS - Changed the PC's power settings from Balanced to Performance (This Helped for a while. Almost a full week) - Turned on NVIDIA Debug Mode. ( This helped for a few hours :/ ) Games I have tested: Marvel Rivals (Main Culprit) Chef Life (Nothing Happened) Minecraft (1 Crash) Raft (1 Crash) 7 Days to Die (Nothing Happened) Also crashed loading: CPU updates Spotify Loading into general desktop upon startup (during troubleshooting) I am honestly at a loss. I should note the temps never rose above 64°. I contacted customer support but they are so unhelpful. Thanks in advance for any tips. submitted by /u/DimensionDue5120 to r/techsupport [link] [comments]

G760 vs G758 vs Cyberpower PC
I’m looking to buy a PC for the first time but I don’t know which PC would be the best bang for my buck. The G760 would be at its regular price of $1939 (after taxes) and seems like really good deal for what you get The G758 I managed to find an open box at my local micro center so that would come out to $2133. Once again seems like a good deal and I’ve heard to help future proof your PC you get a 5070ti instead of a 9070xt The Cyberpower I found a local walmart that has one in stock and that would come out to $2046. I’ve heard so many people say that this is the best deal you can find anywhere. I mainly want to use the PC for gaming or emulating games as well. I’d appreciate it if anyone would give their advice on which one to get or if one PC is better than the other. Thank you. submitted by /u/Smooth_Month_5796 to r/Prebuilts [link] [comments]

Did I get a good deal?CyberpowerPC Gamer Supreme Liquid Cool SLC4800M Gaming PC
Mainly posting this as I haven’t seen anyone review or post about this pc at all. Upgraded to my 2nd pc since my first build in 2020. Old PC specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Mobo: MSI B550 A Pro RAM: GSkill Ripjaws DDR4 3600mhz 16gb GPU: EVGA GTX 1660 Super - PNY RTX 3050 Boot drive: Crucial M.2 NVMe SSD 500gb Storage: 500gb SSD and 2TB Hard Drive (Work gave me a free 3050 in 2024) I was planning on building a new PC around thanksgiving 2025 with a 5090, 64gb-128gb of ram and 4-8tb ssd. Prices were anywhere from $4000-$6500 depending on parts and configuration. Prices were already going up and kept seeing posts about prebuilds being cheaper than new builds. I saw posts about the msi 5080 prebuild at costco and took a gamble on an open box for $1400, that was great but saw multiple posts that the upgradability wasn’t the best. Price is now at $2599 was $2299 in November at my local store. https://www.costco.com/.product.4000355760.html If I’m wrong here, please feel free to educate me. In December while traveling for work, the local microcenter had 1 cyberpowerpc 5090 prebuild in stock. The only one left in all locations. Assuming this would be the only one left I went to check it out. https://www.microcenter.com/product/691105/cyberpowerpc-gamer-supreme-liquid-cool-slc4800m-gaming-pc Unable to open it or see what it looked like besides the picture on the website above, I offered $3600 from the sale price of $3950. Manager and I went back and forth for a bit but he wound up agreeing. I walked away paying around 3800 and some change. Immediately after getting in the car I ordered a Corsair 128gb 6400 ram and sandisk 8tb SSD kit from new egg for $600. I drove the PC 10 hours home and then returned the Costco PC. In total I paid $4400 with a spare 64gb 6400 ram kit and a 4tb ssd. New PC specs: Intel Core Ultra 9 285 (1.9GHz) Processor 128GB DDR5-6400 RAM Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Graphics Card 8TB SSD WiFi 6E (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.3 Windows 11 Home 1300watt 80 PLUS gold psu Did I get a good deal? Or was I sucked in by the fear of getting in too late? Every time I check the pricing on the ram or ssd they keep going up. Anytime I walk into a bestbuy or microcenter it’s another sticker on top of the old price from days or a week ago. The case isn’t my first option and neither is having a smaller motherboard but I feel like for the price there isn’t anything on the market that’s comparable to what I have currently. This PC has been great, has stayed cool through all gaming, workloads and really anything I can throw at it. Only issue I have is the case is very large with little room to add into it. I have yet to access the power supply area but I feel like there is a lot of wasted space that I could use to add more storage. I can’t really find any support on this specific case, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any links or suggestions that I can follow. Questions: How can I control the RGB on the case and fans by program instead of using the button on the case? I’ve tried multiple programs but none have worked. What is my old pc worth? Is it worth swapping in my spare parts to give it to my long term girlfriend as her first pc? Understand I will need to upgrade motherboard, cpu, potentially cooler and power supply. Current set up: LG c2 65” tv LG 45” ultragear 3440x1440p 2 dell 27”-30” monitors Mini dsp JBL E30 northridge bookshelf speakers SVS pb12-nsd subwoofer Turtle beach 700max headphones IKEA desk with Alex drawers and cabinet IKEA peg boards Future additions: Racing sim Home server for AI learning/modeling + plex server 3D printer Edit: I wanted to add that I have already installed the correct GPU support bracket. submitted by /u/LongAppointment745 to r/Prebuilts [link] [comments]

9950X3D + 5090 CyberpowerPC build specs and pricing
I bought a PC from CyberpowerPC nearly 10 years ago. It had an 8700K that’s been over clocked at 5GHz for nearly 5 years of that. Started off with an EVGA 1080ti FTW that was only replaced last year with a 7900XT I’ve not had a single issue with this PC for nearly 10 years. I’ve literally spent thousands of hours gaming on it, never shut it off, and built an entire business with it that I’ve worked in full time for 6 years now. I figured I’d give CyberpowerPC another go with my new PC since it was time to pass the ole girl down to my daughter. Wasn’t going to spend over $5,000, and still technically stayed below that goal. The 5090 ended up being an Asus TUF Gaming. submitted by /u/Valadini to r/Prebuilts [link] [comments]

My gaming PC is MASSIVELY underperforming and I do not know why!
Hello, I bought my gaming pc 2 months ago from cyberpower as they are the same people I bought my previous pc from. I spent just under £4000 on this build and it isn’t doing what it should be. I have a stock RTX 5080, Intel I9-14900k, 64GB DDR5 RAM (5200HZ), MSI Z790 Tomahawk motherboard, my SSD is a 2TB Corsair MP700 PRO, Icue link 7 water cooling system, 16 Corsair fans and of course a 900W power supply. My friend has a very similar build and he bought his the same time as mine. I play games like battlefield 6, cyberpunk, rust etc. GTA 5 takes a very long time to load I mean like 3-4 minutes to get into the game. Rust is a CPU based game and I’m only getting 60-90 fps on the LOWEST graphics. Cyberpunk is the only game that runs well and consistent. Everyone I play rust with has nearly low end PCs and they double my FPS on even lower settings. I tried contacting cyber power to get a refund and send it back but now it has been too long and they can’t accept returns anymore. I also play on 2560 x 1440 resolution. I am begging someone can help me at least work out what is causing this problem as the price this cost me really cheap and especially considering it’s not how it should be. submitted by /u/AncientJudgment6234 to r/pchelp [link] [comments]

Looking to get into pc gaming
So basically I’m a console player, playing overwatch on my beautiful 4K tv. I’m interested in picking up a PC for various reasons... but mostly I want to play overwatch with my pc friends. I also play low-impact games on my laptop (technically a 2014 ultra book) and would like to have a desktop to move my gaming and school work too. I also like the thought of having something to work on via upgrading in the future. I’ve looked around a bit. Cyberpower PC, etc. I’ve constructed builds on PCPartPicker, so I’m learning a lot. I’ve decided I really don’t want to drop $1000 on a pc, since I don’t think I need what comes at the price range. On EBay I am watching various PCs move and I’ve been fantasizing about having something with a 1060... but I’m not sure if it’s overkill for what I want to use it for. Interestingly, I’ve found a used PC on Craigslist. This is very interesting to me because the investment would be low and I’m curious about the viability of its current set up for what I want to use it for, value, as well as its upgradeability in the future: Listed for $300 Dell XPS Studio 2 1TB HDD i7 4790 Nvidia GTX 970 12 GB DDR3 From my research this seems fine, if less powerful than I want but even if I upgraded to a 1060 later is this a good place to start? submitted by /u/ADHDAleksis to r/buildapc [link] [comments]

CyberPower PC Scam! Need advice
UPDATE #3 Danny L. from CPPC has just contacted me and he is taking care of everything. Should be expecting a return shipping label via email anytime now and he has promised a refund. He has also expressed interest in having CPPC donate to the two charities listed below. WE DID IT GUYS! I could not have accomplished this without the help of you guys, and if ANY of you are ever in a predicament like this, please do not hesitate to reach out. :) I will let you guys know once my funds have been returned, and what my new rig will look like once it's put together and all pretty like. UPDATE #2 No word from CyberPowre yet, but Wow I did not expect to see this kind of support at all! Thank you so much everyone, I greatly appreciate all the advice and stories you shared. If only the entire world was filled with people like you, we wouldn't have these issues :). NZXT OMG! Thank you so much! I will definitely be PMing you. A bunch of my coworkers rave about the stuff they bought from you. You have always had top notch products, and I genuinely love how you actually listen to your customers. Whether they post on Twitter, FB, Reddit, or any other forum you are there to resolve their issue promptly. All companies should take note of the level of customer service you provide. I cherish the amount of people on this thread that have offered to donate parts. While it would be awesome to take you all up on your offer, there are kids out there that would benefit more from the donation than I. Therefore, I encourage you to instead donate those parts to a charity that is in need of computer upgrades. Computers for youth (http://cfy.org/) and Interconnection (http://interconnection.org/about_us.php) are both very good charities that will gladly accept anything you are willing to give. If you dont want to go that route, PM me, and I will send you my info. I have a few coworkers and friends that have volunteered to use the donated parts to build systems and then donate those systems. I will of course keep you updated on which charity and system your particular part was used for :) A lot of you have requested that I post the specs of the PC I bought, so here you are. I planned on using the PC mainly as an HTPC with gaming capabilities, so please keep that in mind when looking it over: CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.00 GHz Eight-Core AM3+ CPU 8MB L2 Cache & Turbo Core Technology FAN: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler - Enhance Cooling Performance (Single Enermax Enlobal Silent High Performance 120MM Fan HDD: 128GB ADATA SP900 SATA-III 6.0Gb/s - 550 MB/s Read & 520 MB/s Write (Single Drive) HDD2: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200 RPM HDD (Single Drive) IUSB: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand) MOTHERBOARD: ASRock 990FX Extreme9 AMD 990 ATX w/ UEFI Bios, Xfast 555, THX TruStudio Audio, Intel GbLAN, 4 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1 NETWORK: Onboard Gigabit LAN Network NOISEREDUCE1: Anti-Vibration Fan Mounts OS: Microsoft(R) Windows 7 Professional (64-bit Edition) OVERCLOCK: No Overclocking POWERSUPPLY: 750 Watts - Corsair CSM Series CS750M 80 Plus Gold Certified Modular Ultra Quiet Power Supply SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO VIDEO: AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video Card [+73] (HIS IceQ X2 Edition w/ Double Fans UPDATE: Called my bank and they are going to dispute the charge. She explained to me that an investigation will be performed between CyberPower and Mastercard, and that it will take approximately 45 days. She also said that the money will be held up until the investigation is completed...is this normal? Im using a credit union, btw. I bought a newly configured PC from CyberPower in February of this year, I compared the cost of Cyberpower building the exact PC I wanted against purchasing the same components separately and they came out even. So I said why not? Well I wish I hadn't. I first received my PC within a week of ordering it online. This immediately made me suspicious because on their website it states they do a 72 hour burn on each PC they ship. I looked at the status updates and noticed it had only been "burned" for less than 24 hours. I decided to wait and give them a chance to prove my skepticism wrong. As soon as my PC arrived I opened that sucker up. It was like Christmas, until I noticed they had not put any supporting foam around the graphics card! How do you do that?! Why would you think it would be ok to ship a pre built computer with the graphics card attached, let alone just suspended with no protection?! Deep breath....Maybe it will still work... I plug it in and voila! it actually powered on. I was super happy. I then went to gather up a coworker so we could get out Titanfall gaming on. When I come back to the PC it has shut itself off....shit I turn it back on and it boots only this time there is no image on the monitor...shit again. I change monitors, the HDMI cable ect and nothing works...shit. So I call them up immediately and get a hold of their tech support. I explain everything that happened, how the graphics card was not supported, the usb 3.0 was not plugged in (minor fix for me to do), and finally how there was no image on the monitor. They guy was super nice, and sounded surprised that it had that many things done incorrectly on their part. So I chucked it up to maybe some newbie in their warehouse making the sloppy mistakes. I got my RMA number and he finally emailed me the shipping label three days later. Next, I waited.....and waited...and waited some more. Finally, my PC came back on the third week of April, I sent it Feb 21st. Nothing on the box appeared to be damaged so I was hoping things were fixed and I could join my gaming buddies. WRONG! As soon as I open up the box I see huge dents all over the case...dammit. :Deep breath: Maybe it will still work, I got a cheap case anyways. I attach my monitor, mouse, keyboard, and headphones then go to get the power cord to the tower....but it is no where to be seen. They forgot to put the power cord in the box before shipping! WTF?! At this point Im done, frustrated, ready to get my money back on this $1300 piece of shit. I call up their customer service again, different guy, and this one is a complete asshole. Tells me there is no way they forgot to ship the power cord, and that I had to of made the dents on the case myself, then required that I take pictures of not only the dents on the case, but inside the case, what packaging was included and finally every side of the shipping box. His conclusion? All my fault. arrrrrggghhh!! seriously?! this is how you are going to treat a customer that just spend over $1300?! As soon as I email him all his pictures I call back and request a refund. That's when shit got real. "It looks like you are past your 30 money back guarantee time period, so we will have to charge you a 15% restocking fee, 150$ for the OS, and $9 for the McAfee license( I did not ask this to be included, cus McAfee+games=disaster), and finally I would have to pay $75 to ship it back to them. REALLY?! REALLY?! You are going to charge me money on a defective product? Im pretty sure that is illegal (not sure though, anyone know?) I promptly ask to speak to a manager because this guy was just not getting it. He tells me a rep will be calling me back in the morning. I agree to that and hang up. Next day I wait for them to call me....nothing...following day....nothing. A WEEK later I get a call and he tells me the exact same thing 15% restocking fee, payment of the OS and security software, and shipping. I say no way in hell am I going to give you anymore money. I never got it to turn on! He eventually bends and waves the restocking fee and OS usage fee, but I am still stuck paying to ship it back and the $9 for McAfee. So that is where I am, broke, no working PC, frustrated, and never experience customer service that bad. Anyways, any advice from you guys? Anything I can do to get out of this shipping fee? If not, then I will chuck this up as a life lesson and tell everyone in the world how shitty a company CyberPowerPC is. TLDR: Bought a pc from CyberPowerPC and it was utter shit, now Im paying for their mistakes. A warning to all PC Gamers: DO NOT BUY FROM CYBERPOWER.
Alternative title: Why I won't be playing Amnesia in the dark by myself this Halloween. Before I get started, let me just say that I'm sorry for any spelling/formatting errors. I'm typing this on an iPhone. Rewind to about two years ago - I just turned 18, my computer was outdated, on its last leg, and I was ready to buy a new one. Knowing that this was a long-term investment for not only gaming, but also school and art, I decided to cash in about $1300 in savings bonds that I had from when I was born. Being pretty naive (and lacking a lot of knowledge in putting computers together myself), I decided I'd go with a setup that Cyberpower had, where you go through a few forms on their website, pick parts, cases, etc. from a list, after which they would assemble it for a small fee and mail it to me. At the time, this seemed pretty awesome, and for a short time, it was. After three months of owning the computer, I go to turn it on, hear a sparking noise as the lights come on, and then the computer immediately turns off. With some investigating, we determined that something went wrong with the power supply and that I needed a new one. "No problem!", I thought. After all, I paid an extra $50 or so for a two year warranty. I tried to contact Cyberpower and after a torturous ordeal of trying to get them to either answer the phone or reply to an email, they finally did. They said they would send me a replacement power supply immediately and that I could just mail the old one back to them. They also told me that I had to install it myself, and if I didn't do it right or broke something that it would instantly void my warranty. After THREE MONTHS of waiting, calling, and emailing, the replacement power supply comes in the mail. I (with the extremely lucky help of a friend) installed the power supply, went to turn the computer on, and then... Nothing. And so it began again. Months of trying to contact Cyberpower went by to no avail. They ignored what had to be a hundred emails, and easily as many phone calls, until one day, once again, I got lucky and finally someone replied to me. In short, their "customer service" representative decided to tell me that they were more or less sick of me, that the power supply probably fried every other part in the computer (and that they all needed to be replaced), and to just send the PC in for them to repair it and troubleshoot problems on their own. The "customer service" representative also mentioned that I was "lucky" I had a warranty and did not have to pay them for an entirely new computer. Not wanting to put up with any more ridiculousness, I mailed the PC back to them (spending $50 of my own money to do so), and went back to waiting. Months go by. Not three, like last time, but six. I was completely furious. I called, emailed, even threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Beareau, and only when I did that last one did I get a response - this time in email form. I'll copy and paste the email for you, just so you guys understand why this upset me so much: yes. we have fixedyour computer. we will mailing it shortly. -cyber power Yep. That was it. That was the email I got. Copied and pasted. I'm not even kidding. A few weeks go by, and I do get my computer back, but guess what? It's not fixed! There's some issue with my version of Windows 7 being corrupted, and they say that they won't mail me a disc to try to reinstall it. On top of that, when I mailed it back, they REMOVED THE STICKER WITH MY WIN7 KEY FROM THE SIDE OF MY COMPUTER, so even if I DID find a new disc, I still wouldn't be able to install it. They, of course, recommended I buy a new copy of Windows 7 directly from them. I... Politely declined and at that point ceased all contact with them. In the end, I am given a brand new copy of Windows 7 from a friend of mine who, at the time, worked at Microsoft. I finally cleared up all the issues, and, at last, had my computer to use. ...Until yesterday. I wake up, sit at my computer desk, go to turn it on, hear a sparking noise as the lights come on, and then the computer immediately turns off. Yup. The same problem. Now my PC is entirely dead (and with it maybe ~300gigs of music, games, movies, and TV shows gone), I'm out roughly ~$1400 ($1300 for the PC and around $100 for shipping things back and forth), and the only access to the internet I have is an iPhone. Just do yourselves a favor and never, ever buy from Cyberpower. submitted by /u/acolossalbear to r/gaming [link] [comments]
