A lot of this is really just the tip of the iceberg. Fortunately, a lot of the girls had a healthy, and somewhat normal, transition into adulthood while continuing their careers. I know that during later seasons all of the competitions were fake, and most of the time their numbers won. But the show always made it like the girls were the most phenomenal young dancers, especially during the Reunions when they'd "dance for the audience". My dad died when I (29f) was 10. My mom's been remarried since I was 14. Her husband is Mike. Mike's fine but he's not my dad. He wanted to be when he married my mom and she wanted that too but I didn't. And because of that there's an underlying tension surrounding my relationship with Mike. They both felt like I should have allowed him to take on the role of a dad to me and they've always expressed disappointment that I was never open to that. Even though I get along just fine with Mike it wasn't enough. He has no kids so they felt like it was only right that a fatherless girl would try to let a childless man in so we could both have that relationship. I bring all this up because I know how my mom feels. Two weeks ago Mike asked who I was walking down the aisle with I said I'd be walking myself. Then he asked who I'd choose for the father/daughter dance I said I was considering whether I'd ask mom or not. It was after this mom told me she thought I'd ask my dad to dance with me because that's tradition. And I knew she was talking about Mike. I knew she didn't mean my actual dad. But my reply was my dead dad can't dance with me at my wedding and I don't know how she thought that would work. My reply was not well received and my mom told me to stop being a brat and I knew what she meant. I told her I was giving the most honest reply because dad died when I was 10 and there's no possible way for me to dance with him. She told me she understood what I was doing and it made me a brat. I told her she shouldn't worry I'll ask her because this helped me make my mind up. She told me I owed Mike an apology and then her once I finished apologizing to him. I’ll start off, some of these are low key scary 1) Camryn snapped on Kira one time and finally let her have it but the argument wasn’t aired 2) Apparently Abby said to Nia that she didn’t want any little “tooties” on her team which was a reference to “The Facts of life” apparently the argument was so bad that the producers got the girls IPads the next day (just to be clear I think Christi and Kelly debunked this on BTTB and said that something worse happened) but the part about Abby and Nia was true. 3) In that one scene where Christ said f*** 17 times, Abby took her anger out on the kids and cuts to a snapshot of Chloe crying but Christi confirmed that Chloe was crying because Abby said to her “I’ll destroy you” 4) In the Stomp the Yard group dance episode, Mackenzie is seen giving attitude to Abby because she had a grumpy face when she came in but in reality, Kenzie had that face because Abby actually made fun of Kenzie’s stomach but they didn’t show the footage 5) one of the Matty B video producers in Season 5 was I think Charged/arrested for engaging in sexual activities with minors (correct me if I’m wrong about what he was arrested for but it was definitely about engaging in sexual activities) 6) Before the show, Christi was “roofied” at the bar one time, and Melissa saw it and tried to act helpful but then she exposed Christi and tried to make Christi’s husband believe that she was engaging in sexual relations 7) Before the show, at a competition Melissa sabotaged Chloe’s music as the CD was scratching. Chloe knew after and Christi said it still makes Chloe upset to this day A lot of this info is from MackZBoss’s channel so I encourage you to check her out! Also feel free to correct me on anything and I’ll update this post along the way. Edit: I hate how everyone’s coming at me for the CD situation, if you don’t believe me. Look this exact situation up on Reddit. There’s MULTIPLE users talking about the situation with evidence. Instead of acting off assumptions pls do some research. A lot of y’all won’t believe Melissa would ever do such a thing to a child that’s what she wants you guys to believe that after all these years, she’s the most innocent one.
