Please report Millie Moon Diapers if your LO is having severe diaper rash (It might not be a diaper rash!)
I'm going to sound like a crazy mom but I'm trusting my gut with this one. We've been a Millie Moon family for 2.5 years. As of 3 days ago my 6mo started the worst diaper rash I've seen. From his back to the front, bawling his eyes out with every change, touch and rub. I haven't slept much and today it's gotten worse. It's going into his thigh folds and on his scrotum. Our normal diaper rash cream hasn't helped really. I had time to think and a few months ago I remember reading a post about another mom and a few others who had problems with Millie Moon for reference here's the thread, where I also commented my situation in full. I found my 6mo diapers are the new batch with the patterned top and we've switched over to huggies. The pediatrician is aware of his rash but with no other solution other than "air dry his bum". If you are going through this I hope this find you! If it wasn't for the first mom I wouldn't have made the connection. I also did a Google Gemini inquiry if Millie Moon has had production changes and this was the response; to note Millie Moon is responding that they haven't made changes. "There is significant evidence from recent parent reports and legal investigations that Millie Moon diapers have undergone a production change that many believe is causing severe skin reactions. While the company has not officially issued a "recall" as of late April 2026, the situation has escalated beyond just "normal" diaper rash. Here is the breakdown of what is happening: The "Chemical Burn" Controversy In early 2026, a surge of reports emerged from parents (specifically those buying from Target and Walmart) describing a specific type of reaction that looks less like a typical rash and more like a contact or chemical burn. The Symptoms:Parents describe bright red skin, raised welts, skin peeling, and open wounds that appear within hours of putting on a "new" box of diapers. Legal Scrutiny: Law firms began investigating Millie Moon (and their parent manufacturer, Zuru Inc.) in early 2026 due to these reports of "severe infant skin reactions consistent with chemical burns." What Changed? (The "Formula") Technically, diapers don't have a "formula" like food, but they do have a specific makeup of materials and chemicals. Parents have noted several physical changes in boxes manufactured in late 2025 and early 2026: The Print/Pattern: The most visible sign of a "new" batch is the print. Older diapers had the animal prints only on the lower part of the diaper; the newer versions have the prints going all the way up to the waistband. TCF vs. ECF: A major point of contention is the switch to Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) pulp. While ECF is a common industry standard, it is a step down from Total Chlorine Free (TCF), which Millie Moon was previously known for. TCF is generally considered the "gold standard" for ultra-sensitive skin because it uses zero chlorine derivatives. Odor and Texture: Many parents have reported a "chemical smell" when opening new boxes and a "rougher, paper-like" texture compared to the older "CloudTouch" softness. Immediate Steps to Take: Switch Brands Immediately: Even if you have a full box left, stop using them for a few days to see if the rash clears. The "Batch Test": Look at your diapers. If the colorful animals go all the way to the very top edge of the waistband, you likely have the "new" version that is being linked to these reactions. Report It: If the rash looks like a burn (peeling or welts), report it to the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission). This is how official recalls are eventually triggered." How I am combatting widespread molluscum
This will be long. I want to share everything I’ve learnt about this pesky hellish virus in hopes it can help others too. *It is absolutely by far one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced health wise- and this is coming from someone who’s had an abscessed tooth that’s almost killed her and dealt with excruciating tooth pain before..* ————————— for many people this virus is persistent, isn’t able to be noticed quickly by the immune system, & feels like the end of the world for the moment. trying to combat this virus is a FULL TIME JOB ————————— I’m going to share with everyone exactly what I did & am doing. ***I recommend joining Facebook molluscum support groups, as they are way more personal, and more informative than here. I did research all over- from here, to Facebook, to doctoral studies, to the science behind this virus etc— Facebook has been the most helpful. There are 122 MILLION people who are globally affected by this virus— Facebook groups share the information that is helping them- and new information that will keep helping others.*** • I started off with the pimple patches alone, they must have tea tree oil, hydrocolloid, and salicylic acid in them. (I had way too many to do this for long than a couple weeks, and got tired of it quickly) although they did help rid some of my lesions- it was just too long of a process and too tiring to combat more than a couple. If you have only a few- these may work longer term. • I than tried deep sea salt baths for about 2-3 weeks. 2-3 times per week. 15-30 minute soaks in luke warm water. This was helping dry some lesions out but it wasn’t enough improvement that I was convinced was combating all I needed. I stopped those. (You can try this, it’s all trial and error- information on how to properly do them- you can find on google or in the Facebook support groups) those aren’t in the picture I’m sorry I forgot!! There was some improvement - just not enough for me. • Then I started diluted bleach baths, which made the most improvement with my molluscum. I started off with 1/4 cup in a full bath- but recently upped it to 2–1/4th cups in my bath. 2-3 times per week. Never back to back. If you do one (Monday- you can do one Wednesday- and then Saturday) Otherwise do every 3 days. (Monday & than Thursday). For adults this is fine. For children you must follow the guidelines on google from doctors on how to properly do bleach baths. I’ve been doing this for 4 weeks so far. I do luke warm water- never hot. The colder side might even be better if you can handle it. Regular shower before doing the baths. ***DO NOT SHAVE, AND DO NOT SCRUB YOUR BODY*** I know it feels gross, and nasty, but gently scrub your body with your hands & some type of antibacterial soap, or deep sea salt soap. Rubbing your lesions hard will spread this virus unfortunately, and you do not want this virus on a soap bar etc. After the regular shower do the bleach bath for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with water once done. The bleach bath scared me but it’s no different than a chlorine pool and even some dermatologist recommend it for eczema patients. Pay dry when out with a towel. *Do not reuse towels - do not rewear clothes without washing in hot water* • After the showers and baths I put desitin max strength on them- this REALLY helps dry out the lesions too. They shrink and basically become so dried up that you never even knew they could’ve been there! — I started doing this nightly after seeing the positive improvement. (THIS WILL STAIN CLOTHES SO CHOOSE ONES YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT) call them your new molluscum clothes lol. Wash those all together and not put in the washer with your regular clothes. I do the cream on nights I don’t even shower. Because it’s all so much to shower every night (it gets so tiring mentally) so I do every 2 or 3 days. I put some pimple patches on after the desitin - but most times I’d just lather it all over me and put my clothes on. I’d put pimple patches on the ones that looked like they were exposed to the core to ensure no spreading. These lesions have cores- they’re white- this is the most contagious part! *WASH YOUR SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, BLANKETS AFTER EACH USE IN HOT WATER. If you get lazy turn your pillow to the unused side. You also need to wear hoodies and pants to bed or else you’ll be rolling around spreading your molluscum. The incubation period of this virus is 2-6 weeks or more. Meaning you could be infected today and not know for a month or two.. so take precaution if you want to destroy this virus that so desperately wants to live on you.* • I also started liquid zinc, and turkey tail mushroom tincture. You can research what molluscum affects and hides from in the body etc & than do research on what supplements and herbal products combat those specific things. Zinc helps the immune system and outer layer of skin, as well as turkey tail. I like Etsy for quality items from herbalist - I don’t trust these chain supplement stores- but it could work for you! I just prefer quality items. I also will start lysine soon (natures max antibiotic) — which combats skin issues as well. *I think it is important to fight this virus from within, and on the outside. Both of those things really matter when combating this on your own time, and not on the viruses timing* —Some days will look better, and others will look worse- some new ones might pop up, and this is apart of the process. Stick with the routines- sometimes people get lucky and find a quick fix— but for most, this is a process you must follow through with.. (hugs because I know it’s exhausting) you will get through this, I promise. You have to fight this virus, and keep looking for ways to combat it- especially since doctors are so dismissive and unhelpful with this virus. The virus wants to live, just like we do- but we want to live harder- so we will find ways to make it suffer. Also note, what works for some, may not work for another- all of our skins and bodies are different. This is really trial and error- but sticking with things for a few weeks is the only way to truly see if it works for you. I’m so sorry 😔 this was hard for me to accept as I’m stubborn and impatient. But this virus can teach us to slow down, and accept what we cannot change with quickness— • The hydrochloric acid spray - this also helps dry the lesions out, you can spray this on your molluscum and pat it dry a little with a paper towel. Some lesions it totally wiped out the second I sprayed it on them lol. Others take some time. The lesions have a life span of their own. Some are way more stubborn too and for ones that really don’t seem to go away while others do- get to a dermatologist to have them cut off - or cyro’d. That is liquid nitrogen- they freeze them off and eventually they scab over and come off. I did one lesions (my derm wanted to see how my body would react to it) about a week later it’s scabbing over and I think it’s going away or will just scar up. Sometimes this can trigger the immune system to notice it- but not always. So taking the herbal supplements to help boost your immune system is helpful! ***if you have any questions, please ask- I love being of help to anyone in need. I’m sending everyone much love. I know it feels scary but try to take some deep breaths, and remember that you are not just your body- you are so much more than that. This time will pass and eventually feel like a distant nightmare. Maybe this virus is here to teach us all something. What can be learnt from this time? What did you learn from this time? Out of everyone in the world- we get this virus- and others do not. Take what you will from that. I lost my job, ability to work- am channeling my inner Chewbacca (unfortunately lol).. and spent countless days and nights crying.. all because of this sneaky virus that crept into my life and experience.. yet I still learnt from it, and still am choosing to see the positive within it. I know it is hard, but be kind to yourself in these times. I wish everyone the best of luck*** ♥️ submitted by /u/okokok_no to r/molluscum [link] [comments]

Diaper Rash Broken/Raw Skin
Our 3 week old developed a diaper rash on both sides of her cheeks near her butt. Our pediatrician prescribed Mupirocin and a thick zinc cream. Desitin Maximum Strength didn’t work, so we’ve been trying Boudreaux's Butt Paste Maximum Strength, but it’s been two days and the broken/raw skin isn’t healing. We’ve been applying it very thick and most of the time, the cream doesn’t stay on the broken skin. We only pat her with dry wipes and sometimes water. Any recommendations to resolve this faster? submitted by /u/jehckah to r/newborns [link] [comments]

Help! An Unbeatable Diaper Rash
EDIT: We finally started seeing improvement with our diaper rash!! For anyone who has found this post later down the line, for us it took a combination of triple paste maximum strength (red tube), whoopsie dry wipes instead of wet wipes, Huggies diapers (sized up), and a twice a day application of hydrocortisone 1%. I sit there and hold a desktop fan up to his booty to dry the hydrocortisone on for 5-10 minutes before layering triple paste over it. Also a little bit after the improvement started, we gave him a bath with 150mls of breastmilk added to the water. Unsure if it helped, but it didn’t hurt! ——————————————— Hi everyone! My son will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and has lived about 2 days without a diaper rash. This thing is constant and will not go away! Here is what we have already tried - Desitin Extra Strength - Bordeaux Butt Paste (red tube) - Aquaphor Baby - A combo of Bordeaux and Aquaphor baby. - Hydrocortisone 1% steroid cream. - Prescription Anti-fungal (Nystatin) - Corn Starch - Baby Bidet after each change with pat-dry after - Naked baby time daily - Water Wipes - Warm Wet Washcloths instead of wipes - Patting dry after each change - Air-drying after each change - Honest, Mama Bear, and Pampers sensitive brand diapers - Honest, Pampers Sensitive, Cotarie, Kudos, and Parents Choice Sensitive Plus Wipes - I am now starting elimination diet, starting with cutting all dairy. At this point I am convinced the diaper rash is caused by the frequency of his poops. This guy poops every 30mins to every hour with constantly leaky sharts in between. We have seen 3 pediatricians and they all say this is normal for breastfed babies and will slow down with time, but his poor butt! I am considering mixing formula into his breastmilk just to reduce the frequency of his poops! submitted by /u/ScreamsIntoVoids to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

Skincare Routine for Dry Skin
If you're struggling with dry skin, whether you're just starting out or dealing with a flare-up, I finally found a routine that works for me—hopefully, this can help someone else too! AM: La Roche-Posay Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash Simplified Skin Rosewater Mist Toner The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat Moisturizer OR Cetaphil Redness Reducing Night Moisturizer Hero Rescue Balm Color Correcting Green Cream (as needed for spot treatment) PM: La Roche-Posay Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash (I count shaving my face every other day as exfoliating) Simplified Skin Rosewater Mist Toner COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence Tretinoin 0.05% Cream / The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension (alternating each night). — wait 20 minutes — Desitin Maximum Strength Paste (diaper rash ointment) (Since Azelaic Acid hasn’t been hard on my skin, sometimes I’ll apply the Cetaphil Redness Reducing Night Moisturizer instead) I know, I know…diaper rash cream on your face?? The Desitin ointment has 40% zinc oxide as the active ingredient, which is great for helping your skin retain moisture and prevent/treat dryness and peeling. It’s also great to help with irritation, redness/inflammation, absorbs excess oils, and helps support healing with it working as a protective barrier. I’ve been using this for 2 weeks now and I have seen amazing results–I just wish I had taken before pics so you can see the difference. Prior to using the Desitin ointment, I would wake up every morning with dry and peeling skin, even after applying every moisturizing product I owned. Now, I apply the ointment all over my face each night and I use Tretinoin (or Azelaic Acid) to help prevent or treat any irritation. I’ve been using Tretinoin for about 1.5 years, and this diaper rash ointment has been a game-changer! I always hated using Aquaphor, where my dryness was the worst because I would always wake up to it being transferred on my pillow and have almost no product on my face. I’m not saying this ointment doesn’t transfer, but it doesn’t as much compared to Aquaphor or Vaseline. Because it is an ointment, there is a possibility it could cause clogged pores, in which case I would recommend using it as a spot treatment or using Aquaphor (or Vaseline). If you don’t want to use this product all over your face, you can use it as a spot treatment! While it can take a little extra effort to wash off in the morning, if I’m in a rush, the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Wipes are perfect to help remove any residue. I know it may sound crazy, but I promise it is worth giving it a try if you’re trying to combat redness, dry skin, or flaking. submitted by /u/OutrageousSherbet745 to r/tretinoin [link] [comments]

My scar tissue is cracking around my stoma and I’m in so much pain 🤧
I have had a tube since August 17 this year, and every 3-4 weeks till October 5th I had a replacements due to malfunction and then one due to the tube breakage so “damaged” tube. I had an appointment November 14 and the resident told me everything looked great it was healing nicely finally now that I haven’t need a replacement and the tube has been in the track more than 4 weeks finally. For the last 3 days I have had THEE WORST PAIN. The best way I can describe it is if you had an open wound and poured isopropyl in it x10 that’s how this feels. It is making me nauseous, making me tremble AND I have kept it clean and everything. I can barely walk or sit because it pings this type of pain into my kidneys and back and my ribs where the tubes at. When I saw the doctor he recommended when I have pain like this (which is quite often) to put a Barrier of cream or ointment on it. I’m now to a point of frustration. First they said split gauze because leakage and bleeding was terrible (still is) but he loosened the bumper last appointment and told me to put split gauze on the bottom and the top because there’s really nothing they could do because leakage and bleeding comes with having a tube directly to the stomach. Well loosening the bumper has made the leakage worse and then my scar tissue on the bottom that has been painful is twice as painful now. I’m lost for what to do since they said it looked just fine and it’s healing well. Has someone who is gaining and loosing weight rapidly due to this plus a new thyroid issue. I’m done with the split gauze I’ve been no gauze since Black Friday. The leakage is terrible and now I’m having to deal with bleeding, extreme oozing, and my scar tissue cracking. For those who have had this issue what cream or ointment did you use? I put a picture in the rotation to show you what I bought (doctor said diaper cream but another said an ointment) so I’m just trying to figure out what would be best and what won’t add to the pain. And help is welcomed and encouraged because I’m suffering right now. The pain is so bad to the point of me wanting to vomit and I can’t with this GJ tube in so I’m trying to find a solution. Anything helps thank you! submitted by /u/bcomingstoned to r/Gastroparesis [link] [comments]

Baby List Baby Box!
I’d highly recommend snagging this deal! It’s a “free” baby welcome box that comes packed full of goodies! Total time spent to complete as quickly as possible (1hr-1hr 30 mins) and $8.95 plus taxes. I’ll list everything I got in the comments and how to do it is in the post!:) Step 1: make a registry and add your info Step 2: add 3 items from baby list and 3 items from other stores to your registry Step 3: complete at least 40% of the registry check list (this check list just gives you an idea of what to add. For me this was easy bc I planned to use it as my main registry but if you’re going to just make it for the box then it could be frustrating.) Step 4: make a minimum purchase of $30 in the baby list shop. (I didn’t spend any money doing this step because my friend bought a gift for me from the shop. If you’re bottle feeding they have a 5 pack bottle sampler kit for $29.99 and this qualifies you for the box and is also a great way to get a variety of bottles to try without paying retail price for each one! They also have a pacifier box if you don’t plan to bottle feed but like the idea of trying a variety without the price tag!) Step 5: pay $8.95 shipping and you’re done! submitted by /u/chey797 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Desitin Maximum Strength causing diaper rash to form?
I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the diaper cream Desitin? Normally I use triple paste as it works wonders for my baby and has helped diaper rashes that were forming to disappear. Well I'm running out of it and ordered some more that should arrive by tomorrow. In the meantime I've been using Desitin Maximum strength and it seems to just be creating a diaper rash that I don't know how to get rid of. I'm not sure if my baby's bottom is sensitive or if the product is just terrible but I hate to see it get worse for my little guy. submitted by /u/aub_ry to r/NewParents [link] [comments]

A primer on diaper creams
I’m prepping for baby #2 and just had a flashback on how confused I was on this first time around, so thought I’d make a post to help out any other confused first time parents. There are basically three basic types of diaper cream. FWIW, I ended up using all three. Ointment. Often when people mention Aquaphor, this is what they usually mean (which was confusing to be because Aquaphor also has the two other types). It is basically Vaseline, so it’s non-medicated, and is useful for creating a physical barrier to protect baby’s skin. Regular strength/daily defense diaper cream. So regular diaper cream uses zinc oxide to help heal diaper rash. So this is typically 13-15% zinc oxide, and if your kid is prone to diaper rash is good for everyday use to help prevent and treat diaper rash. Some brands also have a “3-in-1” or “triple paste” but it’s usually the same thing. Maximum strength/fast relief diaper cream. 40% zinc oxide. I typically saved this for when I had a particularly bad or stubborn rash. A few other tips for diaper rash: - the butt spatula I found helpful to keep hands clean, since the creams and pastes are very sticky, and designed to not wipe off easily. Also gets right into the butt crack easily, lol - if you are breastfeeding, breastmilk has antibacterial properties and a milk bath (bath with a few oz of milk dumped in) seemed to help a lot when we had a bad rash. I saved extra milk that maybe sat out too long to drink again, and threw it in the freezer to use for milk baths. - baby wipes can irritate babies skin when they have diaper rash so if you can wash them off in the sink with water that seemed to help as well. Hope this helps someone out there! submitted by /u/Lopsided-Student-300 to r/BabyBumps [link] [comments]

Severe and Recurrent Diaper Rash
Diaper rash has been a constant battle since he was born (currently 7 months), but we’re able to manage at home for the most part until it occasionally gets bad. The first severe rash resulted in an anal fissure and took three appointments to the pediatrician before they finally told me to use lotrimin and a prescription antibiotic which did help. This latest rash includes open sores (some were pale yellow) and as of yesterday he’s on two prescription ointments (anti fungal and anti bacterial), hydrocortisone, maalox and two barrier creams and things seem to only be getting worse as of this morning. Prior to this, we were using lotrimin and neosporin per the pediatrician and things got a little better (no more pale yellow sores) but the open sores refuse to dry/heal and the swollen red rash is spreading so they gave us the prescription strength ointments and told us to add in the hydrocortisone and maalox. I’ve tried so many barrier creams, diaper free time, we stopped using wipes completely and only use water in a peri bottle, dry completely every change with cotton and a fan, etc. It feels like we do all of the things and yet nothing helps this current rash, but frankly we’ve never seen his bottom have fully healthy skin. He currently has diarrhea which is making things worse and we’re told there’s nothing we can do but wait it out. We can’t get creams to stick to the open sores he has. He has been out of daycare for a week because I know sending him will only make things worse. He’s in pain and Tylenol only does so much to help. I’m at a complete loss and seeing my baby in pain is breaking my heart. We were told to give it until Monday and if things aren’t better to come back in. I’m desperate to find some relief for my baby and don’t know where to go from here. Edit: Here’s the barrier creams we’ve tried: - Desitin Max (40% zinc) - Triple Paste 3X Max (40% zinc) - Calmoseptine - Sensi Care Protective Barrier Cream - Aquaphor - Boudreaux's Butt Paste Maximum Strength - Tubby Todd Diaper Cream I have these on the way: - Aquaphor Fast Relief (40% zinc) - Triad Hydrophilic Wound Dressing - A&D Ointment We aren’t using wipes now due to the rash, but typically we use honest brand. Currently we use water and honest dry wipes to pat dry and a fan too. Even on a regular basis we always wash his bottom with water for poop diapers and fully dry before applying barrier cream. We use coterie diapers and have another brand coming just in case the diapers are the problem. Edit 2: Wow!! Thank you all so much! As a first time mom I can’t say enough how grateful I am. Of all the things I researched and took classes for while I was pregnant, diapering was not the thing I thought would bring me down! I’ve learned so much from your comments - thank you for giving me a second wind in a moment of desperation. submitted by /u/nnv321 to r/ScienceBasedParenting [link] [comments]

Lactose Intolerance Causing Acidic Poops?
So over the past month or so, we have been dealing with a diaper rash from hell. After consulting with our pediatrician, it was determined our then 10 month old daughter had a yeast rash. Our pediatrician prescribed some Nystatin cream, and after a couple weeks, we thought we were in the clear… We were wrong. As soon as the yeast rash started to clear up, another angry rash appeared. It seemed to get better over the course of the day, but then would become horrific as soon as our daughter had a bowel movement. I mean puffy skin, and even some bleeding. It didn’t matter him quickly the diaper got changed, anywhere the poop touched was flaming red. Our poor baby would squirm and fuss trying to escape it, and it broke our hearts. So back to the pediatrician we went. This time we were prescribed some hydrocortisone cream and instructed to use maximum strength Desitin. This combination seemed to help for a few days, but then we were right back to horrible, angry diaper rash after every poop. I had a hunch it was dietary. I mean it had to be, right? So we changed formula brands. We cut out any acidic foods, and gave her nothing out of the ordinary. No difference. Finally, after researching and digging around, I found a couple articles mentioning lactose intolerance on babies causing acidic poops that basically burned the skin. As a last ditch effort, I bought a can of soy formula from the store, removed all dairy from my daughter’s diet, and crossed my fingers. Today is day two of the soy experiment. My daughter is still healing from her previous fiery poops, but the two she’s had today not only seemed to cause no further irritation, but also appeared better formed. No bleeding, no worsening of the rash, no squirming in pain. Of course I still changed the diaper immediately upon realizing it was dirty, but the difference was still noticeable. It’s still too early to tell if this for sure was the solution to our diaper rash problems, but so far it’s seeming promising. Has anyone else ever dealt with a similar issue, or had lactose intolerance present this way with their baby? I’m just happy she’s getting a day of relief and praying it’s not a fluke. submitted by /u/MissQuicksilver to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]

Diaper Cream Olympics
Having recently gone up against a diaper rash that we couldn't quite shake, we ended up with a decent amount of creams. I thought my trial of these may be helpful to others. We have vanquished our rash, but if you have any further recommendations please let me know for possible future fights! Gold Medal: Chubstick Chamomile Diaper Rash Ointment by Sweetsation Therapy (Does contain zinc which is known to stain diaps, so be warned!) Smells good, heals fast, and is convenient as heck! I love this thing. It doesn't get all over your hands and doesn't require a butt spatula. Best diaper bag cream. Silver Medal: Motherlove Baby Diaper Balm Pretty scentless, heals fast, best if used with butt spatula. This, alternated with the above, is what finally kicked our rash to the curb! It is more of an oil type cream and prompted the purchase of the butt spatula (which is actually a wonderful bit of convenience). Bronze Medal: CJ's BUTTer Shea Butter Balm Fun scent options, best if used with butt spatula. I currently use this in the lavender scent at bedtime as a barrier cream. It also comes in a spray form, which I haven't tried, but I've heard good things about its convenience. It is another oil type cream. Honorable Mention: La Petite Creme Organic Diapering Lotion Not technically a diaper cream. When I first saw this stuff I thought it was ridiculous, the thought of using a lotion to clean seemed too spendy and unnecessary. But guys, this stuff is freaking great. I use it as the final pass when cleaning baby after the mess is cleaned away. It is so moisturizing and I feel like it really amps up the clean. The Other Contenders: Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Cream (Warning: contains zinc) I really wanted to like this one more. It smells great, is very moisturizing, and can separate in the tube and get oil all over your hands when you're changing diapers half asleep at 2am. Boudreaux's Butt Paste (Green Tube) I hate this stuff. Truly, absolutely, the worst of all. Though Weleda gave me some trouble with separation, this stuff was a guaranteed mess everytime I used it. No amount of shaking the tube to mix it back together helped. It also had zero effect on the rash. All that mess for nothing. Never again. Desitin Maximum Strength (Not for cloth diaper use) I switched to disposables for a minute to see if that would help against the rash and I received this as a freebie in some baby registry gift box. This is by far the worst smelling diaper cream I have encountered. I think it was minimally effective, but not worth the smell or the required use of disposables. I hope my trials with this small sampling of creams proves helpful for some of you out there! Let me know if there are any other cloth safe creams you've found to be especially effective! submitted by /u/-paintcookie- to r/clothdiaps [link] [comments]

TLDR healing tips post fistulotomy surgery: Keep the wound area dry and clean by using gauze religiously to catch drainage. Keep time on toilet short, do not sit for longer than 5-10 min at a time as sitting puts pressure on the wound. Change gauze often (every 2 hours) and wash after bowel movement (BM) with a bath or light water pressure from a bidet. Pat the wound dry when using toilet paper, don't abrasively rub and cause irritation. Do not use a donut pillow - those actually put more pressure on wound. Use a flat pillow to sit on. Use stool softeners Switch to Ibuprofen/ Tylenol by day 2 post surgery as narcotics cause constipation. Drink lots of water, get lots of rest to promote healing. Start getting active with light walking by day 3/4 or as early as possible without straining. Avoid heavy workouts until cleared by your surgeon. Eat healthy, avoid fatty and spicy foods. Avoid seeds and other small particles that could cause irritation during BM. Be patient - healing can take 4-6 months with drainage lasting the entire time! Always follow up with your colorectal surgeon (CRS) - if something feels off, they should be the first person you call. Don't hesitate if you feel new pain, smell, etc. Hi Friends. This post is targeted for newcomers, people new to anal abscess and fistulas with intentions to give you a complete overview of my journey to hopefully inform you of your journey ahead and to make it as smooth as possible. It is a very long read and if you've been through this before, it may not be useful to you. Please note that I am not a medical doctor so do not take this as medical advice. I did find a really great article from the national library of medicine with a lot more of the medical details here. First of all, I am so sorry you are here. It is normal to wonder "How did this happen to me?" or "what did I do wrong?" Unfortunately, we are just unlucky. Nothing more, nothing less. It can happen from straining too hard, a hard stool that creates a tear in your skin that leads to an infection (abscess) and then fistula. So don't be too hard on yourself. It's just an unlucky place you ended up, but don't worry, you WILL get through this. And you are NOT alone! If you check this subreddit, you will see there are thousands of us. It's just not widely advertised so it's possible, like me, you'd never heard of it until now. GENERAL TIPS: Plan to do NOTHING for at LEAST 4 days post surgery (longer if you can take more time off, if I had a choice, I'd take at least 1 week of rest; if you work at home, you can get by but sitting for long periods of time 1 week post surgery is not easy) Stock up on Tylenol and ibuprofen Stock up on 1 bottle of Milk of Magnesia (liquid laxative to help with first BM) Stock up on stool softeners to use for having soft stools as you heal You may need to buy an enema for day of surgery (your doctor will tell you) Stock up on Gauze (I bought 3 boxes of 25 count 4X4 gauze) Have a hair dryer ready to dry after BM Have a bathtub & keep a bottle of cleaner / bleach nearby to clean in between use (get a sitz bath if you don't have a tub) Invest in a bidet for your toilet or at least a portable bidet / hand held one like peri bottle Squatty Potty may help you reduce strain and ease BM! Purchase a tube of Desitin (found in the baby aisle) or Calmoseptine to create a moisture barrier between your cheeks to promote healing Stock up on healthy food (think oats, lentils, beans, broccoli, raspberries, lots of fruit) to naturally give you fiber. If you can handle Metamucil or other fiber supplements, go for it. I personally enjoyed fiber gummies the most. First symptoms: Pain and blood spotting during bowel movements with increased blood spotting and pain each day I've always a little bit of discomfort down there (maybe 2 -3 years?) and thought I had hemorrhoids (was never diagnosed, just incorrectly self-diagnosed :P) . Over the years, I would have some small spotting of blood here and there, and always attributed it to hemorrhoids but never went to a doctor to get it inspected. Come April 2022, same spotting here and there and didn't think much of it. After a few days, the pain starting to kick in, the spotting became more frequent, I was having fresh blood with each bowel movement and the pain was only getting worse and worse. This is when I finally had the alarm bells ringing in my head and tried to find a "proctologist" as I have known them to be "butt doctors". Well, it was hard to find that specific specialty with my insurance and soon found out the correct doctor is colorectal surgeon (often referred to as CRS in the forum). I didn't look through details of their credentials to find the best, I simply searched for one that had the soonest availability (some offices were booking 2-3 weeks out and I didn't have the luxury of time with my pain). I found one 45 minutes from my house and she saw me the next day. Diagnoses: I was diagnosed with a perianal abscess and intersphincteric Fistula I definitely did not feel comfortable being at the surgeons office, especially I am in my 30s and of course the common demographic is more senior people. However, I knew I needed help. The doctor had me undress and took a bright light to my behind. Again, I am in pain and not comfortable as I've never had anyone inspect my behind before. She spread my cheeks quite a bit to get a full visual (was painful but you deal with it) and almost immediately knew what I had. I've heard others have gotten an MRI to diagnose, and I think it is based on the location of the abscess / fistula. But mine was close enough to the rectum that imaging was not required. She did not do any kind of imaging or use any scope like anoscope, she just visually inspected by backside and said I had a perianal abscess that had created a fistula. At first, these were foreign words to me. I didn't even know what either was. I soon learned that an abscess is an under the skin infection. It can happen anywhere in your body, and unfortunately, it can also happen inside your rectum. Again, it can be caused by a hard stool, straining, anal gland becoming infected, any random number of things. If you can see it, it may look like a pimple. Mine was on the inside, I could not see it. I also learned what a fistula is. It's basically a tunnel created under your skin from the infection looking for a route to escape from under the skin. You may even visually see a small hole around your rectum if you look. This is referred to as a fistula and is typically caused by an abscess or infection. It IS possible to have an abscess without a fistula, if you get it treated early enough. I think you could also have a fistula without the abscess but you may just not have known you had an abscess that caused the fistula. I don't think fistulas can form on their own. Again, I am not a doc but just putting my thoughts here. My doctor immediately scheduled me for surgery to drain the abscess and cut the fistula tract (also known as a fistulotomy) and gave me some tips to manage the pain for the abscess. Treating symptoms / pain before surgery: Baths right after bowel movements Keep the area dry and clean; blow dry after bowel movements, keep gauze in the cheeks Tylenol (or other painkiller approved by your doc, especially prior to surgery as ibuprofen was not allowed prior to surgery for me) Start taking stool softeners right away Up your fiber game (I hated Metamucil so I got most of my fiber through food) Once I knew what I had, I started to follow her tips to ease the pain I was experiencing from the abscess. The number 1 thing that helped me was warm baths. I am lucky enough to have a bath tub so I did not have to deal with the sitz bath. I think they are also good options but I purely used a bath. Be sure to disinfect the bath tub each time to prevent further infection. Sometimes I would clean just before I go (if I have time) or right after my bath so its ready for the next session. But try not to skip this, keeping things clean is important. Right before my bowel movement, I would start filling up the tub. I would sit on the toilet (in agony) for 5-10 minutes, do a quick spray with my bidet and pat dry, then JUMP into the bath. The warmth and heat from the bathwater really helped me ease the pain. You can also take Tylenol but confirm what painkillers you can take as you CANNOT take ibuprofen 7 days prior to surgery, so just confirm before taking a painkiller. You can probably get something stronger too, but I didn't want to take anything until after my surgery. Day of surgery: Had to use an enema 3-4 hours before surgery No food or water 8 hours prior to surgery (due to anesthesia) Have to have someone drive you home Plan to go home and sleep and do nothing The worst part before the surgery was hands down the enema. It's saline water you have to squeeze inside your rectum to clean the area and empty your bowels. It sucks. I could never get the whole bottle finished. I had to get assistance from my husband and within 1 minute of the enema, I was on the toilet, in pain and clearing out the pipes, so to speak. The burn from the saline continued until I got to the surgery center. It's not fun but I chose not to skip this step since it was instructed by my surgeon and I did NOT want to mess anything up. Once you finish your intake and surgery prep, you are put completely under anesthesia so you don't remember a thing from the surgery. They don't actually cut your rectum (in my experience) they just gape it wide open then do their thing. It sounds violating as hell, but you don't remember any of it so don't worry :) The surgery was quick, took less than 1 hour from the time they put me to sleep to when I woke up. I didn't have any pain and was discharged the same day. I went home, doped myself up on Percocet and slept for most the day. They recommend a light dinner, some soup or something easy to digest so you don't get nauseous from the anesthesia, but you soon need to resume a normal diet (after 6 hours post surgery I was able to resume normal food) so you can get fiber from your food. Don't go crazy and eat fried food / greasy food. Try to maintain a healthy diet during this time to help your body heal. I took Percocet the first day but stopped the next day as these stronger painkillers can cause constipation and that is the LAST thing you want, you HAVE to be regular. Before I went to sleep, I stocked up on about 300 mg of stool softener. I was lucky as I did not require a seton or any other drain - some people will have to get one depending on the complexity of the fistula. I do not have experience with this, so cannot speak to it. My doctor was able to drain the abscess, cut the fistula tract, stich some of the skin down, and she was done. Overall, the surgery went well, as per my doctor. Day after surgery: Milk of Magnesia is your friend Tylenol and Ibuprofen are your friend Stool softeners a must Stock up on gauze pads (I used 4X4 non woven - available at any drug store) By the second day, I was taking high doses of Tylenol / Ibuprofen so I didn't get constipation from the Percocet. I started with 1000 mg of Tylenol, then 5-6 hours later, switched to 500 mg of Ibuprofen so as not to put too much strain on my kidney or liver (each one affects one organ, hence why I was alternating). This was what worked for me, but manage it a way that works best for you. You WILL want to take painkiller before your first bowel movement. I am usually immediately on the toilet as soon I wake up so take is ASAP if you are like me. Unfortunately, I was not able to pass a bowel movement on my own. After 24 hours post surgery, you have to basically force yourself to go. You definitely will FEEL you want to go, but your body is rejecting ANY actions down there. This is where Milk of Magnesia comes in. It's a laxative and I suppose you can take any, but this was recommended by my doctor. Its a liquid you drink and within 20-30 minutes, you need to go. The first bowel movement SUCKS. It's not fun, it feels weird, you can physically feel the wound, especially when the bowel is going past it. BUT my best recommendation is make it quick. As soon as you start the motion of "going" you are going to feel pain, and it gets a little bit worse as the stool passes the wound, but once you are done, you feel immediate relief and the pain starts to get less and less. I also had a squatty potty and that really helped me get the first bowel out. You MAY try to go a bit, and then get discouraged by the pain and want to try later but DON'T! Just get it over with. Maybe have a stress ball nearby to help. You are going to have pain even when you "start to go" so why suffer through it many times, just get it done. And don't sit for long. Get in, do your business, use bidet on a light setting (don't put too much water pressure on the wound) or wash with a squirt bottle, pat down / lightly wipe, then go jump in your bath. Try not to sit for more than 10 minutes. And don't make the water scorching hot. If I was in a pinch, I would soak from the waist down. If I have time, I would dunk my whole body. Get out, pat down dry, then use a hair dryer to dry the area. It is extremely important to keep the area moisture free as best as possible. Pack the area with fresh gauze and go lay down. The first time is painful, and I had pain for 20-30 minutes after the bowel movement. Spent most of the day laying in bed. Day 2 - Day 9: Still painful for bowel movements. I try to not take Tylenol but the pain is too much so I keep taking it religiously. This became my routine: Wake up, 100 mg of stool softener, 1000 mg Tylenol, then go do my business - in and out, wash with bidet, jump in bath, soak for 10 minutes, blow dry, pack with gauze. Another 100 mg of stool softener at lunch time. 500 mg of Ibuprofen. Before bed, another 100 mg of stool softener, 1000 mg of Tylenol - I would get some pain and itchiness in the region throughout the night and the Tylenol helped alleviate that. If it gets super itchy, use your bidet and wash and pat dry the area. The routine above continues for 10 days past surgery. By day 5 I tried to cut down to 500 mg of Tylenol, it wasn't enough to manage the pain so I kept it at 1000 mg for 9 days. I know I am doing a number on my body, but its the only way I could function. Day 11: I no longer need Ibuprofen or Tylenol. There is still pain with bowel movements, but I push through it quickly and barely have pain after. I am still continuing the stool softener. Am at about 200 mg, once when I wake up, once before I go to bed. I am still changing the gauze 3-4 times a day. Around day 8, I had some SEVERE pain between my cheeks from the gauze. I think the area was just getting discomforted by the packing. I found a solution: SOLUTION FOR SORENESS / PAIN BETWEEN CHEEKS FROM GAUZE: I open the 4X4 gauze so its basically 8 inches across but still 4 inches from top to bottom. I take a q-tip and start to wrap the gauze around it. About 1/4 of the way, I cut the gauze and put this in between the cheeks. This HELPED immensely. It keeps the gauze against the wound without causing pain and discomfort for the rest of my cheek area. The Q-tip also helps it stay in place. This has been a life saver. I would probably do this from Day 2 or 3 if I could go back. Day 12 - Post op surgery visit: I am healing well. My doctor says things look good down there. I still cannot use a hot tub, pool, jacuzzi, or go to a lake. Beach is fine she says. I also cannot do my laser hair removal appointment in that region. My doctor also recommended I wait 1 more week before I engage in strenuous activity and sex - yes I did ask, and yes, I mean PIV sex, not butt, lol :) SO about 20 days before you go back to do anything you want. She did have to cut one of the stitches that was visible to her. It's pretty tender down there to touch and when she spread my cheeks, but she was pretty quick with her review, spread the cheeks, shined the light, cut the stitch, and I was done. She recommended I continue the gauze and can start using Desitin or Calmoseptine. It is basically an ointment used to prevent diaper rashes in babies. It helps prevent moisture from collecting in the area. I still use my q-tip gauze technique. This continues for the next 3 months. 3 MONTHS POST SURGERY I AM HEALED: I continue follow up - about 1 session every 3 weeks. I see her for about 3 months and by July I am confirmed to be FULLY HEALED! I no longer have to use the gauze or stool softeners. I was religious with stool softeners for probably 1.5 months and slowly weaned off. 200 mg to 100 mg to 50 mg to none. But keep your fiber going. Keep eating fresh veggies and fruit, make this a lifestyle to prevent hard stools in the future. My doctor also recommended I continue using the Desitin to keep the area moisture free and I do this for about 2 more months. FINALLY, I have my life back. No more stool softeners, or medication. Some drainage here and there; I call them butt boogers (gross, I know, but why not try to make light of the situation) but nothing too crazy. I have some scar tissue you can physically see when looking at my rectum. It's not the most beautiful site, but I could care less as long as I am free of the abscess and fistula. Closing thoughts If you see something, SAY SOMETHING! Now that you have gone through this, if you have ANY doubt post healing, whether its spotting, a new smell, LOTS of discharge, GO SEE YOUR SURGEON! They have the best knowledge to treat. DO not self-treat. You could end up RIGHT back under the knife. Even if you follow all these tips, there is sadly a chance of recurrence. It sucks, but do the best you can to stay positive and follow all the tips to a T to prevent this from happening again. Had I tackled my abscess right away, I may have been able to prevent the fistula from forming. Again, this is not guaranteed but the SOONER you get in to get it treated, the better chance you have of stopping it from becoming a fistula. DON'T BE EMBARASSED! It happens to SO MANY people. Don't go shout it out to the whole community, but also, don't be embarrassed to share with people you trust. I am EXTREMELY comfortable talking about it now, and we all make ass jokes with my friends :) YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS AND GET YOUR HEALTH BACK! Just be diligent about the after care and keeping the area clean and dry. There are plenty of times I want to skip the bath, which is why I now have a bidet. So I just used my bidet to wash after bowel movements now, no more baths. I was skeptical about using the bidet but just make sure you keep that clean, too. There is so much more to this story (i.e. my 2nd fistulotomy in feb 2023) and I am happy to add to this post but most of the information is going to be the same. Medicate, keep your time on the toilet short, wash the area with water, dunk yourself in a bath, blow-dry to keep the area dry & clean, pack with gauze, then eventually use Desitin. It is NOT as horrible as you think. The most painful part (aside from the surgery) is the financial, lol. I think I spent around $1,500 on the first surgery and $3,000 on the second. It sucks, but you have to do what you have to do for your health. Thanks for reading this far. I know it was long and winded but I want to try to help others that find themselves in this unfortunate situation. If you have suggestions or things I have missed, please feel free to comment here. Please also ask ANY questions or DM me if you'd rather chat personally. I am SORRY you are here. But it WILL get better and you WILL get your health back. Wishing you good luck, good health, and strength to get through this! submitted by /u/incognlto4lyfe to r/AnalFistula [link] [comments]

Baby Welcome Boxes: I got them all so maybe you don't have to!
I wanted to compare the different pregnancy/Baby welcome boxes to help others determine which ones, if any are worth getting! I have broken down how to get each box, any costs associated with procuring the box, the items included in my box, the monetary value that I personally calculated, and my overall thoughts. I hope this helps someone and it is a great way to get some free things to try out with your baby! 😊 Also I am in the United States, so all figures and information are based off of this. I am not certain which companies do the boxes internationally!! Disclaimer: I am just a normal first time mom-to-be and wanted to try out all of these boxes. I do not have any known relationships and/or connections with any of these brands or companies when I procured these boxes and wrote my thoughts. I do not consider myself to be any sort of influencer, nor am I an expert in the baby sphere. I am just a simple mom looking out for my fellow pregnant people. These are my honest takes and research. It is my understanding that the boxes are subject to change, so please keep that in mind when deciding if a certain box is worth it. I hope this helps you and best of luck as you navigate pregnancy and parenthood! Amazon Link: On Amazon Registry How to Get it: You must have Amazon Prime and create a registry. Check off at least 60% of the registry checklist (you can just check them off the registry checklist or actually add the items to your registry). A minimum of $10 purchase off your registry is purchased (this can be either you or someone else buying off your registry). After the item ships, your welcome box will be available on your registry homepage and you can click “claim now”. Add the welcome box to your registry (it will say $35) and make sure you use the $35 promotional value (mine was automatically applied) and checkout! Overall Cost: Technically free (however you or someone must make a minimum $10 purchase off the registry) My Estimated Value (excluding samples): $23.95 Items Included in my box: - Simple Joys by Carter’s Short-Sleeve Bodysuit 3-6 months - Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Anti-Colic 4 oz Plastic Bottle - Dr. Brown's HappyPaci Silicone Pacifier - Amazing Baby Newborn Muslin Swaddle (Zebra) - CLIF Thins Chocolate Peanut Brownie - Travel size Johnson’s Newborn Wash and Shampoo - Small Amazon Reusable bag - Samples: Noodle & Boo Elasticity Oil Aquaphor Healing Ointment Vivvi & Bloom Baby Wash and Shampoo Gel Vivvi & Bloom Baby Face and Body Whip Lotion Cetaphil Baby Wash and Shampoo Cerave Moisturizing Cream Some Coupons/Info General Thoughts: Worth it if you have Amazon Prime. I had started my Amazon registry when I first found out I was pregnant to add things as I thought of them. I later transferred everything over to my Babylist registry. However, it takes a lot of items to get to the 60% completion of the checklist so it is a bit of work. Personally, I still think that this box is worth it because it is essentially free, the value is there and has a good variety of items. One thing to note is that I heard if you remove the item that was purchased toward the $10 purchase off the registry, then you will get charged for the welcome box so be careful. Babylist Link: On Babylist Registry How to Get it: Make a registry on Babylist. Add at least 3 items to your registry from the Babylist Shop. Add at least 3 items to your registry from other stores. A minimum of $10 purchase off your registry is purchased (this can be either you or someone else buying off your registry). After the purchase, your welcome box will be available on your registry homepage and you will need to pay shipping $8.95 + tax for your box. Overall Cost: $8.95 + tax (plus you or someone making a minimum purchase of $10 off your registry). My Estimated Value (excluding samples and coupons): $66.97 Items Included in my box: - Monica + Andy Baby Hat - Elephants - Parker Baby Co Bandana Bib - Grey - Burt’s Bees Baby Mittens - Grey - Nanobebe Flexy Pacifier - Sage - Mam Start Newborn Pacifier - Chicco Physioforma Silicone Mini Orthodontic Pacifier - 0-2 months - Philips Avent Anti-Colic Baby Bottle with AirFree Vent 4 oz Bottle - Fridababy Finger Toothbrush 3+ month with storage stand - Liquid IV Hydration Multiplier Lemon Lime flavored - 1 Kudos Diaper - Size 1 - 3 Huggies Special Delivery Diapers - Size 1 - Honest Baby Wipes 10 Count - WaterWipes Baby Wipes 10 Count - Huggies Natural Care Sensitive Unscented Baby Wipes 16 Count - 2 Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags - 2 Lansinoh Stay Dry Nursing Pads - Tinyhood - 1 Free Month Subscription - Pipette Baby Lotion Travel Size - Samples: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil and Massage Lotion Desitin Maximum Strength Diaper Rash Paste Aquaphor Healing Cream 3 in 1 Diaper Rash Cream Noodle & Boo Diaper Rash Ointment Vivvi & Bloom 2 in 1 Face and Body Whip Lotion - Coupons: 20% off Liquid IV @ Liquid-IV.com 25% off @ monicaandandy.com Free Swaddle from Little Unicorn $10 off $25+ at Burtsbeesbaby.com $10 off at Parkerbaby.com/hellobaby 25% off at naonbebe.com 15% off at kudos.com $15 off at wellements.com Shipt free for 90 days General Thoughts: Absolutely worth it! I was skeptical at first though. Everyone said how amazing this one was, but it felt like more work and you had to pay for shipping (I paid $9 and I was the one who made a purchase on the registry so we could get it sooner). However, I agree! Lots of great variety and value in the box. One thing to note, this one took the longest to get to me other than the Walmart one (which I still have not received!) Buy Buy Baby Link: https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/product/buybuy-baby-registry-welcome-box/5769845?skuId=69951445 How to Get it: Either go to Buy Buy Baby and purchase it for $10 or purchase it on Buy Buy Baby’s website. In order to get the $10 reward after purchasing, you will need a registry with Buy Buy Baby. Overall Cost: $10 (however you will get a $10 reward 7 days after purchase in store or the box ships if you have a registry with Buy Buy Baby). I was able to get free shipping with my welcome box but I had a “free shipping” welcome reward so unsure if that is universal. My Estimated Value (excluding samples): $32.04 Items Included in my box: - Frida Mom Breast Mask for Hydration - Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Anti-Colic 4 oz Plastic Bottle - Parasol Clear + Dry Diapers Size 1 - 1 Count - Honest Baby Wipes 10 Count - Chicco Duo Perfect Balance 5 oz bottle - Mam Start Newborn Pacifier - Pipette Baby Shampoo + Wash Travel Size - Monthly Milestone Cards - Sample: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil and Massage Lotion General Thoughts: This box arrived very quickly which was a plus. The items are good but a few duplicates from other boxes. I don't think it is a bad box, the value is there, however it could be a skip for others. For me, it is still worth it as it has a new pacifier and bottle and a breast mask for momma to try. I also liked the shampoo is an actual Travel size rather than a sample. Overall, this one is essentially "free" however you do have to front the $10 and then get a reward that you can only use at Buy Buy Baby. We have a store close to us so we can easily use the reward, however other families may have to purchase online and thus may not be worth it when you factor in the shipping. Cuties Link: https://www.cuties.com/where-to-buy/free-samples?sc_site=cuties How to Get it: Submit your email on the Cuties website. You will get an email shortly after to request your sample. Overall Cost: Free My Estimated Value: $0.34 Items Included: 2 Size 1 Diapers General Thoughts: Worth it! Get two diapers for free. Not the biggest sample but nice to get! You won’t get tracking information on when it comes, however it came through USPS. Hey Milestone How to Get it: Go to the website, add the box(es) to your cart and checkout. Overall Cost: $12.95 + tax if you just get one, $20 + tax if you get both together. Pregnancy Sample Box Link: https://www.heymilestone.com/products/noobie-box-pregnancy-edition My Estimated Value (excluding samples): $36.45 Items Included in my box: - 5 Cuties Diapers Size 1 - Medela Baby Newborn Pacifiers - 2 pack with Sterilizing Case - Herobility Double Anti-Colic Baby Bottle 5 oz - Gray - Dr. Brown's HappyPaci Silicone Pacifier - TummyTape 1 Pack - WaterWipes Baby Wipes 10 Count - 2 Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags - 2 Lansinoh Stay Dry Nursing Pads - Purell Singles Hand Sanitizer Gel - 24 pack - Samples: Medela Lanolin Cream 2 Lansinoh Nipple Creams Aquaphor Ointment Spray Newborn Sample Box Link: https://www.heymilestone.com/products/newborn-sample-box-1 My Estimated Value (excluding samples): $36.98 Items Included in my box: - Medela Baby Newborn Pacifiers - 2 pack with Sterilizing Case - Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Anti-Colic 4 oz Plastic Bottle - 3 Nanobebe 5oz breastmilk bags - 2 Nanobebe Nursing Pads - Nanobebe Flexy Pacifier - Purell Singles Hand Sanitizer Gel - 24 pack - WaterWipes Baby Wipes 10 Count - Baby Oilogic Slumber and Sleep Essential Oil Linen Mist 2 oz - ChildLife Essentials Organize Vitamin D3 Liquid Drops - .10 fl oz - Bessie’s Best Lactation Cookies 1 Count - Parasol Clear + Dry Diapers Size 1 - 1 Count - Samples: Medela Lanolin Cream 2 Lansinoh Nipple Creams Aquaphor Ointment Spray Bella B Baby Shampoo Bella B Nipple Butter General Thoughts (on both): Worth getting one. I felt like there was a lot of overlap between the two boxes and similar products in the Pregnancy boxes to some of the other welcome boxes. Personally, I felt like the Newborn box was more worth it since there are some new products from the other welcome boxes. In any case, these are the most expensive “free” boxes and there is no way to get free shipping so it may be a pass for most people. Another thing to note, these boxes do allegedly change more often than the others, so they do ask for your due date (for the pregnancy one) and how old your baby is (for the newborn one). I had to put the wrong date for the newborn one as I am not due until July, however I wanted to get both at once due to the cost of shipping. For transparency I chose I was due in July for the pregnancy box and I’m due next month for the Newborn sample box and ordered in January of 2023. Nanobebe Link: https://www.nanobebe.com/products/free-nanobebe-sample-pack How to Get it: Add it to your cart and checkout. Overall Cost: The sample is free, however you will need to pay shipping and tax which is approximately $6 (however, if you add more products you can get free shipping with a $39 purchase). My Estimated Value: $3.59 Items Included: I did not purchase this as I received it in the Hey Milestone box and the value is less than the cost. The items included (based online): - 3 Nanobebe 5oz breastmilk bags - 2 nursing pads - Flexy Pacifier General Thoughts: This is not worth the value unless you are adding products so that you will get free shipping (which since this is a sample for you to try, it kind of defeats the purpose). You pay more than what you would if you got a full-sized amount. If you want to try this sample, it is included in the Hey Milestone Newborn box, which is a better value overall. Target Link: On Registry How to Get it: First you make a registry with Target (you do not need to add anything to it though). Go to guest services and ask for the baby registry welcome box. Insanely long list of recs/tips/reviews :)
I put together this extremely long list of tips, stuff we do/don't like, etc. for my best friend recently. It's kind of a lot and may not all be relevant to everyone's needs, but hopefully some of it will be useful to some of you. I found these types of posts super helpful when I was pregnant and planning, so I figure since I've done the work of putting it together, I might as well share the love with you all, dear internet strangers

Diarrhea and diaper rash
My 7mo has had diarrhea since Sunday, Liquidy poop every 30 minuets all day. She got this immediately after getting over a different illness with a fever. When not having her diaper changed, she seems perfectly happy and healthy. She has a horrible diaper rash from this. We change her every 30 minutes and liberally apply either Desitin Maximum Strength or Bordreaux’s butt paste. We can’t do diaper free time because of the diarrhea. Please let me know suggestions for diarrhea or the diaper rash. submitted by /u/guardpumpkins to r/beyondthebump [link] [comments]
