I just sold Kenneth Walker a desk chair and didn't realize it.
As the title says, I'm not a big football fan (obviously). More of a hockey guy. I work at a furniture store and today a fella comes up to me asking for a gaming chair. I sold him an office chair instead because gaming chairs are kinda awful. Turns out it was Kenneth Walker who I was later informed was the MVP for the Seahawks. I had no idea. I just talked to this man about video games. Which I'm sure he preferred to being gawked at. Anyway, was a super nice guy. Had a pleasant conversation with him! Just thought this was a funny story and people here would appreciate it. submitted by /u/AtlasHead23 to r/Seahawks [link] [comments]

Do I really need to drop big money on an office chair just to get the best?
Hi I'm seriously thinking about getting a real ergo chair. I'm a freelancer WFH so I'm basically glued to my desk most days. Lately I've been noticing that my back starts to hurt if I sit for too long. My current chair is cheap and I never buy a high-end chair before. I still keep hesitating on spending a lot on it. Should I invest a better one? Here're what I'm looking for in a chair: Something lets me sit in different positions I'd really like to have a headrest Adjustable armrests I've been browsing a lot of reviews and most people seem to recommend brands like Herman Miller or Steelcase. I checked their sites and saw that many of their chairs are close to $2,000. That's a huge chunk of my monthly income. With my income being unstable, that kind of money feels like even more. I've also seen Libernovo mentioned quite a bit. It has a headrest and adjustable armrests and some other nice festures. The price seems reasonable for me. I'd love to hear from people who've acutally used or owned one. Did it does help with the discomfort or back pain from sitting long hours? submitted by /u/ettubrutusvp to r/BuyItForLife [link] [comments]

Desk chair recommendations?
In the coming months I am leaving my current job where for 6 years I’ve had to sit in the standard desk chair uncomfortably and try to find ways to bend my legs up between “ergonomic” arm rests. I’m ready to be comfortable at home and want to purchase a desk chair that is the most versatile for how we like to move and twist while sitting. Has anyone found a chair that is supportive but allows the freedom to sit like a pretzel? submitted by /u/Cranky_cactus627 to r/ehlersdanlos [link] [comments]

Help me choose a desk chair
I currently have a very very basic and cheap desk chair, but now that i have to work in it all day i want something comfortable, where i can spend all day without my ass and back hurting every 30 minutes. I already had the one in three third photo and i would love to get that one again, but I’m considering something a little cheaper. This are the three i am considering, i would love to hear your experience with these in particular or if you have other suggestions. submitted by /u/Individual_Hat6032 to r/IKEA [link] [comments]

District is taking away teacher desks and chairs because we shouldn’t be sitting
Some new district administrator decided that the problems in our district and education is that teachers are lazy and that we shouldn’t be allowed to sit ever on campus. The admin is removing teacher desks and chairs. No concern as to how we will lesson plan, grade, use our prep hour, conference with students, use our computers, etc Edit: thanks for the support and the laughs guys. Got really pissed off when I found out about this tonight from my friend at a different site. I love the ideas and commiseration and was surprised at other people saying their districts were doing/ had done this. Guess it’s a new fun admin fad! submitted by /u/Adventuringhobbit to r/Teachers [link] [comments]
