why are indies not appreciated as much as other breed dogs are? 🤷🏻‍♀️
i have seen people ignoring indies on road but when there's a 'nice' breed dog on the road everyone gives it attention. so now showing affection for animals has an aesthetic???? submitted by /u/Ok_Day_4943 to r/indiasocial [link] [comments]

We just found this little baby abandoned in a bag with dirty clothes and we're not sure what kind of dog it is (except the cute breed)
So far our other 2 dogs seem accepting (I was surprised honestly)! We'll go to the vet because she probably has parasites but we'd like to know what dog she is. We'd welcome any advice you can give as well! She'll 99.9% become a new member of our family submitted by /u/Dahks to r/DOG [link] [comments]

My situationship said I was a boxer (dog breed)
:( dinner: orange chicken, rice, chow mein and spring rolls The conversation went like this: Me: which dog breed do you think I am? Him: mmm... Which one do YOU think I am? Me: a Weimaraner cause you are smart, have a lot of energy and you give a serious vibe beside being goofy sometimes Him: ah... I think you're a boxer Now, I loooove dogs but I've never thought about myself as a boxer (lol haha) Me: why a Boxer? Him: because if they have a good master they might be able to learn how to behave and also become beautiful Me: ... Why the fuck would he say that? Eewwwwwwww Edit: girls, I'm glad I posted this. This guy is now an ex-situationship. Edit: it's chow mein, not pasta, don't kill me :( submitted by /u/Whole-Turnover-7671 to r/GirlDinnerDiaries [link] [comments]

This is a dog for adoption at our local shelter. The amount of backyard breeding it takes to end up with her is so sickening to me

Trying to get help with identifying the breed of this dog.
He was given to my son two years ago when he was a small pup and he’s grown to this. We think he is husky and German Shepherd, but we are not sure. Hoping to get more information by somebody that knows more than me. submitted by /u/Dietz79 to r/dogpictures [link] [comments]

Top 25 Dog Breeds, ranked by ease of boarding.
Slow check-in day at the dog hotel, so I grabbed a few coworkers and we individually ranked & averaged the top 25 dog breeds according to the 2024 AKC. We kept it simple, temperament and cleanliness were the two factors. We also ommitted two breeds due to infrequency of boarding (German Pointer and Mini Shepard), which then bumped up Husky and Chihuahua to the top 25. We don't claim to be experts, but we all have several year's experience boarding dogs.. it was funny seeing how similar our rankings were. Also, we love all breeds, but some are definitely more challenging than others! Best dog breed and why
What do you think is the best dog breed (for you!) and why. Also what is the worst for you and why. I have a golden retriever and it’s wonderful for us because She is gentle, playful, great with kids and other dogs. On a less amazing note, she is hairy , very hairy and fills 7 poo bags a day!! submitted by /u/bingaroony to r/dogs [link] [comments]

Dog breeds recommendations for beginners (that are not a golden or a lab)
Hi everyone! I recently moved into a house with a big yard a bit outside the city. I started working remotely a year ago so I am usually at home. I would really like to get a dog and I am a beginner. I interacted with dogs, however I wasn’t allowed to own one as a child and in my young adult years my career and other commitments did not allow for a dog. However I always wanted one and now I have both the time and the space for a new friend ❤️. I started researching online for dog breeds that would be fitting for a beginner. One that would not be very hard to train. I will of course research trainings and do my best but this will not make up for my lack of experience with owning a dog. I saw that a lot of websites recommended labs or goldens. I wanted to know more about other breeds as well because honestly I would prefer adopting and probably I will not be able to find a pure blood lab or golden that is up for adoption in my area. I believe in adopting so buying a dog is not an option. Any help or advice is welcomed. EDIT: wow! Thank you everyone for the amazing advice and for educating me so much! I have learned a lot! I am currently working on the questionnaire & I will start going to shelters and interact with as many dogs as possible to see how we bond. Currently I am dog sitting a beautiful viszla girl (common in my area) that belongs to my friend. She has been an amazing jogging companion. This is the first things I figured out. I would really like an active dog since I am a very active/outdoor person. Thank you everyone for the help! I truly love the Reddit community! You are all wonderful ❤️ submitted by /u/LogNo6282 to r/dogs [link] [comments]
