Hey! I have an almost 7 year old mini golden doodle (~32lbs) whom I adore and I want her to live the best and longest life possible. I’ve fed her many different dog brands from Rachel ray’s “nutrish” (ashamedly), Fresh Pet, Zignature, Nulo, Sunday’s for Dogs, and Open Farm. I like the idea of a clean and human grade air dried dog food, but it gets expensive and I am not confident if it’s really worth the price. I also heard that they aren’t AAFCO approved. I was hoping for some guidance on which brands to buy for my pup to ensure her vitality and overall wellbeing. Although I can’t keep her in my life forever, I want to extend her life as long as possible and I believe proper nutrition is crucial in doing so. Thanks for any advice! Sana di lang ako ang may alagang aso pero naka budget. Sa mga tulad kong may limited budget pero tries to buy the best food they can afford for their pets anong brand po ang gamit ninyo? I’ll go first, currently, I use supremacy (local brand). Mahigit kalahating taon ko na po yun pinapakain sa kanya daily. Wala naman issues at very healthy naman siya. But once my puppy turns 1 balak ko na po siya ilipat sa pet marra kung sakali magsawa na siya. Para sa gatas niya, i use hegen pet. Sa treats niya naman, dentfresh at dentalight bulk buying ginagawa ko pag sale sa shopee o lazada. Hintay hintay lang ako lagi ng 40-50% off o kaya look out lang for limited time vouchers. Kayo po anong mga mura pero reliable brands na gamit ninyo? Sa mga bashers diyan. Di po lahat ng tao afford ang pedigree, aozi, at royal canin. If i pupush niyo na “i only buy the best for my dog”. In searching for the best food for my 5 year old English Bulldog, one can seriously get into analysis paralysis. I recently started her on The Farmers Dog and although she likes the taste, she’s vomited which is unlike her. After reading posts on that product it’s probably best to true something else. Prior to TFD, I had been using Open Farm Epic Blend, Beef and Superfoods. She is so-so on the taste. I usually need to sprinkle cheese on her food to get her to eat it. I’ve tried following the advice of the “Dog Food Advisor” but seeing the posts about the number of dogs who developed pancreatitis on the food I’m starting to question whether DFA is a reliable source. I’m looking for a tasty, healthy food for my dog that is easy to digest without gaining too much weight. Everything seems very processed. I’ve worked here before and the rules they tell us for how to serve portions is completely fucked. My loser ass old manager threatened my employment because I was giving away too much according to him. Instead of coming in the line, getting pissy with workers who are just trying to make a living, simply go to another mexican grill. Management and corporate rules have completely ruined chipotle. Our dog (14 year old chihuahua mix). Has stopped eating wet and dry dog food. Just refuses when we try to give it to him. But he’ll eat cooked chicken just fine. When we try to mix in the chicken into dog food or rice he will only try to search for the chicken and try to eat nothing else. It seems the recommendation from online is to not give into him but we are worried he is getting too skinny (this has been going on a couple weeks). Price doesn't matter. I have a small 2,5kg dog, the amount she eats in negligible. I am currently feeding her the Mackerel and Lamb recipe from Ziwipeak (which I was told was the best quality food available 4 years ago) but that seems to be out of stock everywhere in my country (Spain). I also know that Ziwipeak now has Chinese investors, they say it hasn't affected their quality but I'm skeptical. I did a Google search and the number one brand seems to be Royal Canin followed by Pedigree, which is why I am here. I've heard of other brands like Woof and Orijen, as natural brands that make good quality air dried kibble using quality meat. My dog is allergic to poultry. I'm just looking for tested and tried suggestions. Edit: Thank you all. I will look at Royal Canin, Purina Pro plan and Hills science diet as they are all readily available.
