Concerned about what happened at Dutch Bros – why isn’t HR addressing this?
Hey fellow custies, I don’t usually post stuff like this, but this has been sitting heavy with me and I feel like it needs to be talked about. Recently, a customer was reportedly stopped by ICE at a local Dutch Bros. Since then, there hasn’t been any clear communication from HR addressing what happened or, more importantly, checking in on the safety and well-being of the baristas who were there and who continue to work in that environment. On top of that, I’ve heard from multiple baristas that they’re being told they have to take orders from ICE agents even if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe — and that refusing could result in being written up. Whether you agree with immigration enforcement or not, no employee should feel forced to serve someone if they feel genuinely unsafe in the moment. Especially not under threat of disciplinary action. What really doesn’t sit right with me is the disconnect. This is a company that profits from communities in places like El Salvador, Brazil, and Colombia. A company that markets itself as radiating kindness, community, and “changing the world.” If that’s the brand, then where is that energy when your own baristas feel scared or unsupported? Baristas are the face of the brand. They’re the ones remembering your drink, asking about your day, writing little messages on cups, hyping you up when you’re stressed. They are the reason so many of us go back. We spend a lot of money there — sometimes daily. The least the company can do is make sure the people serving us feel protected and backed by leadership. This isn’t about politics for me. It’s about workplace safety and basic human dignity. If employees are saying they feel uncomfortable or threatened, that should be taken seriously. Silence from HR just makes it worse. If you care about the baristas in your community, I encourage you to respectfully reach out to HR or corporate and ask what steps are being taken to protect employees and clarify policies in situations like this. Companies respond when customers ask questions. At the end of the day, “radiating kindness” shouldn’t just be a slogan on a sticker. It should show up when it actually matters. submitted by /u/Sea_Relationship5787 to r/dutchbros [link] [comments]

Dutch bros…what’s the point of ordering ahead of time?
Order ahead and then you get there and wait in the same line that everyone else who hasn’t ordered yet waits in. There’s no sign that says even though you ordered ahead you still need to wait in line as if you hadn’t and you would think if you’ve already ordered ahead call the number or name instead of having mobile orders check in. Less work for both sides. Ass backwards move from Dutch bros. The coffee doesn’t hit either. I only go for the rebel drinks. submitted by /u/djmoans to r/dutchbros [link] [comments]

Dutch bros admits that it only gives good point deals to people who frequent the shop
Saw this posted on a dutch bros Facebook group. Plus reading lots of comments from people who haven't been going to dutch as much because of the prices and customer service going down. What do you guys think? I think its a bad move from them. I don't go as much as I used to for those reasons and barely get any offers anymore. It just makes even more not want to go as much. Is Dutch Bros worse now or is it just me?
Not trying to hate, serious question! For context I grew up in Oregon when Dutch was in its peak. I love sweet coffee and Dutch Bros was always so yummy. Moved to AZ in 2013. In 2017 my town got a Dutch bros and it was still delicious. I usually either ordered from the menu or some form of latte from the secret menu without any modifications besides light ice Fast forward to now I live in Texas where Dutch Bros is slowly developing here. I’ve been to multiple locations and it’s nasty now. No sweetness, but also no coffee taste, tastes basically like milk with a pinch of sugar every time. I usually get an iced golden eagle or annihilator or something along those lines. Every drink seems to taste the same. I’ve started driving further for Black Rock instead. Is it just me noticing this? Is it Texas?? Is it my order and I should try to go for more secret menu stuff? (I can never keep up with them) I swear it used to be so much better! submitted by /u/Ducky4500 to r/dutchbros [link] [comments]

7-Eleven vs. Dutch Bros: A Psychological Thriller - Early Morning Coffee in Oregon!
I don't know what kind of MKUltra brainwashing program Dutch Bros runs for their employees, but it's not normal. I pulled up to the drive-thru just trying to get a cup of coffee, and instead, I got hit with the full force of weaponized enthusiasm. "HEY BESTIE! HOW'S YOUR BEAUTIFUL DAY GOING?!" Excuse me? We have never met. And it is 6:30 in the morning. You don’t know what kind of day I’m having because it hasn’t even started yet. I stared blankly, hoping if I didn’t respond, they would just hand me my coffee and let me go. But no. The Dutch Bros worker was dangling halfway out the window like some kind of caffeinated cryptid, grinning like they’d just unlocked the secrets of the universe. "What’s the most exciting thing you’re doing today?! Any FUN PLANS?!" Bro. My only plan right now is to leave this drive-thru alive. Hold up, let’s talk about the coffee itself really quick. Dutch Bros doesn’t sell coffee, they sell diabetes in a cup. Every drink sounds like something Willy Wonka invented after pulling an all-nighter. "Caramelized sugar-rush turbo-blast with extra whip and a side of instant regret!" No thank you! Okay back to the story. I tried to escape by ordering just a black coffee, thinking that would get me out of this high-energy hostage situation faster. Big mistake. "Omg just BLACK COFFEE? Hardcore! You must be bummed out, like, are you going through something? Yes. I’m going through not wanting to talk to you before sunrise. Meanwhile, at 7-Eleven, the cashier doesn’t even make eye contact. I could walk in covered in blood and bees, and they wouldn’t say a word. They’d just ring me up, grunt, and go back to watching a telenovela on their phone. That’s the level of human interaction I need before my first cup of coffee. And the coffee? 7-Eleven coffee is the drink of warriors. It’s been sitting there for an unknown amount of time, simmering into a molten, slightly burnt, legally questionable elixir of life. It tastes like decisions. It tastes like responsibility. Dutch Bros coffee tastes like a frosted birthday cake having a panic attack. At Dutch Bros, I left feeling like I’d joined a cult by accident. At 7-Eleven, I left with a caffeine buzz and my sanity intact. Winner: 7-Eleven. Every time. Stay safe out there. submitted by /u/Mr_Willy_Nilly to r/oregon [link] [comments]

Paying It Forward With Dutch Bros Drinks!
Hey everyone! I’m in such a great mood today and wanted to spread some good vibes. I just got offered my dream job! ❤️To pay it forward and create some good karma, I’d love to treat a few people (maybe 3?) to a drink from Dutch Bros, which is my go-to way to start my day. Drop your Dutch Bros location, name, drink from the menu, and the time you’d like to pick it up today. I’ll place the order and DM you a screenshot with the order number. If you don't feel comfortable sending your real name I UNDERSTAND TRUST ME! Just give me any name, they don't check ID. I'll send you the screenshot of your order anyways to show them. Wishing everyone a blessed and joyful day! ✨ Edit: so I did a couple drinks, and I loved seeing the pictures you guys sent me of them! I know it’s late now and many locations are closed, but when I wake up in the morning I’ll try and do couple more. It was so much fun placing the orders and warmed my heart! What the actual fuck Dutch Bros
I stopped at Dutch bros to pick up some drinks for a co-worker and myself.. nothing out of the ordinary. I asked for our usual drinks one as light ice and one with no ice. I was sarcastically reminded that if I wanted it filled to the top with no ice is called a CoLd PoUr and that there would be a small fee for this. LOOK AT WHAT THEY CHARGED! This is the Dutch Bros off new hope in cedar park, Tx. Maybe I’m crazy but what the hell.. that’s not a small fee. submitted by /u/Professional_Top6234 to r/dutchbros [link] [comments]

Am I odd for thinking it's crazy that Dutch Bros Coffee doesn't have...coffee?
We are a couple new Oregonians in our 30s and the first couple coffee huts we went to looked at us like we were nuts for wanting a hot coffee (as in coffee from like...a coffee bean). I had to order an Americano at one and the girl said I was "brave" for not wanting cream/sugar. We have since found some great places, but the menu at Dutch Bros is so strange. Some great finds in our first couple months of Oregon living: 1) The place in Powell's book store 2) Pete's (I know they are out of CA but we would buy their beans on the east coast) 3) See See Motor Coffee Co 4) We are trying to check new places out on the weekends, so please do make some recommendations! submitted by /u/c_smo to r/Portland [link] [comments]

Dutch Bros Karen
I went to Dutch Bros Coffee today and as I was driving in the drive thru, a white car with Karen literally cuts me off almost clipping the front of my Jeep. This was a one way into the drive thru and she almost caused an accident. I drove in the other lane that was a tiny bit ahead of her. Just for context on how they do things at my Dutch Bros, the employees usually zigzag through the line (they take one order and then skip to the car in the other lane and then back again). Nobody usually has a problem with this and the line moves pretty fast. Enter Karen. She is in her little white car with her son when the employee starts to go to the other lane. K: EXCUSE ME!!! We are next!! HELLO!!! We are next and we are in a hurry!! Employee: Oh okay. What can I get started for you? The employee sees another employee walk out to help take orders and both of the girls look at each other and smile! I was wondering what they were trying to communicate. And then my life got a thousand times better. The employee taking Karen's order was going noticeably SLOW. I was listening to her and I heard, Employee: Sorry, ma'am, my iPad just crashed and I lost your order. Would you mind telling me again? The other employee waved about ten more cars forward while Karen sat in the same spot arguing with the girl about how she is getting her order wrong and how she is a terrible worker, and so on. I realize then that it was malicious compliance and that the first employee was keeping the Karen there for as long as possible. I saw a few people laughing as the Karen screamed and tried to order a few more times. Finally, about about fifteen minutes, she pulls forward and gets her drinks. I absolutely LOVE instant karma. My Sunday was pretty good after all! submitted by /u/ViolaChick86 to r/entitledparents [link] [comments]
