How crucial are non-slip socks for reformer pilates?
Definitely crucial for a lot of exercises on the Pilates reformer. my old grippy socks weren’t super grippy and since i got better ones, a lot of the moves are a lot easier logistically and i feel more muscle activation and soreness. one time i completely blanked on my socks and almost slipped and injured myself, and that’s coming from an experienced mover with a ballet background so i have strong/stable ankles and balance. there are plenty of moves where the socks aren’t used, like a lot of arm work, table top, laying on your stomach, etc. but i could not get through a class without them. finding a brand with better grips has been a huge game changer for me I recently purchased this item from Shein and I couldn’t be happier. Shein has always made it incredibly easy to find the perfect item for the perfect price no matter what I'm looking for and they are always way cheaper in price than I can find anywhere else. I love the quality of these products. submitted by /u/Shadow-Monarch015 to r/Shein [link] [comments]

looking for manufacturer - grip socks
hi all! not sure which thread to post this so i’m trying my luck here. i’m looking for a manufacturer in china to make a specific type of grip socks for my pilates studio as i’ve tried them and their quality is really good. i tried using a supplier from alibaba before and their socks were okay but not quite the thickness i was looking for. unfortunately the brand i’m seeking is from the UK so their supplier information doesn’t show up on importyeti. just to preface i’m not trying to copy their brand, am just looking for the supplier so i can have the same specific sock thickness and support, because any supplier can make grip socks, so please don’t come at me in the comments. TL;DR: anyone knows who is the supplier for the brand elliosa grip socks? submitted by /u/Familiar-Ad-8010 to r/smallbusiness [link] [comments]

Pilates people: what do you actually want in grip socks (and what do you hate)?
Hey everyone — hoping to get honest feedback from people who do Pilates regularly. I’m working on a small product idea around Pilates grip socks because I’ve noticed common complaints like slipping, rolling down, weird sizing, and grips wearing out fast. I’m not here to spam or push a link; I’m trying to understand what matters before I invest in sampling/production. If you use grip socks, could you share your experience? What brand/style do you currently use (or avoid), and why? What’s the single most annoying problem you’ve had with grip socks? (slipping, fit, sweat, durability, washing, grip placement, toe style, etc.) Do you prefer full-toe, open-toe, or toe-less—and what’s the reason? What price do you usually pay, and what would you consider “worth paying more for”? If an “ideal” grip sock existed, what features would it need? (examples: higher cut, arch compression, sweat-wicking, thinner/thicker, better grip pattern, anti-roll cuff) Optional (helps a lot): how often do you do Pilates per week, and are your classes reformer, mat, or both? If anyone’s open to it, I can post a quick summary of what I learn back here so it’s useful to others too.Thank you. submitted by /u/alpencore to r/ClubPilates [link] [comments]

Can I wear Pilate grip toe socks to classes?
I have a big insecurity with my feet. I know people say you’ll get over it doing it barefoot but I don’t even want to go to even show them 😅 I’m a beginner but want to learn in class vs home so I learn correctly first. If I need grip on the heel i see videos to diy grip socks and can add grip to sides or heel areas? submitted by /u/Ririnavyxoxo to r/poledancing [link] [comments]

What are some popular options for Pilates socks?
Okay, so I've been pretty consistent with the gym for the last 3 months! This is the first time that I've been this consistent. Usually, I go for a month or two, then take long breaks before signing up again. But since I decided to start 75 Medium, I’ve found myself sticking to it, even though my 75 Medium challenge ended like two weeks ago. The thing about these challenges is that they shift your mind, body, and generally how you show up in all areas of your life. Cause tell me why I finished this challenge about 14 days ago, yet my routine is still the same? I think this is my lifestyle now, lol! Anyways, I’m looking to change up my gym routine and want to incorporate something more fun. I was thinking of skating, but then a friend of mine started taking Pilates, and she’s been hyping its benefits. I think I’m going to try Pilates, then maybe next year I can try skating. So far, I’ve been able to get almost all my Pilates equipment and gear from Alibaba (that’s where my friend got most of her things). She, however, doesn’t recommend the brand of socks she got. So, I guess my question is: what are some of the best or most popular brands for Pilates socks? I would really appreciate it if you could advise me on the best brand to see if I can get them, as I want all my gear to arrive at the same time. submitted by /u/Crafty-Reach-2373 to r/ClubPilates [link] [comments]

Warning: Elliosa (Shopify store) canceled my order but refuses to refund — no resolution yet
Hi all, I wanted to share my experience with a Shopify store called Elliosa (https://www.elliosa.com) to warn others and maybe get some advice. I placed an order on June 14, 2025, for Pilates socks, a laundry bag, and hair ties. The store later told me they couldn’t ship from the original warehouse and would send items from another, which might delay delivery. I insisted that they either ship immediately or cancel and refund my order. They confirmed the cancellation but have not refunded me yet. I’ve been in contact multiple times, and each time they promise to process the refund soon — but so far, no money has arrived. Here are some excerpts from their messages: “Our warehouse team has gone ahead and cancelled your order, as we could not guarantee that it would arrive within our promised estimated timeframe.” “I’m now waiting for our team to process your refund, and we’ll send you an email confirmation as soon as it’s completed.” “As soon as it’s completed, you’ll receive an official confirmation email.” “I’ve already escalated this to our finance team and will make sure it’s addressed as a priority.” “We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.” I filed a dispute with my bank, and the process is still ongoing, but I haven’t received any response from them yet. Shopify’s platform only allows complaints within 30 days, so the store seems to be exploiting this delay to avoid refunding. I have all their emails where they admit cancellation and promise refunds, but so far, it’s just empty words. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Any advice on how to escalate this further would be appreciated. Thanks! submitted by /u/HannaKalevich to r/ConsumerAdvice [link] [comments]

Wear socks to pilates studio or change into them when you get there?
I’m taking my first Pilates class and have my grippy socks and was wondering what most people do/ if there was a norm or not. I typically just wear tennis shoes to arrive, do you usually wear your grippy socks with the tennis shoes or do you wear normal socks with the tennis shoes and then change into the grippy socks upon arrival? submitted by /u/Intelligent_Bench755 to r/pilates [link] [comments]

Pilates studio banning grippy socks?
For some reason, my Pilates studio is banning the use of any socks (including grippy) unless there’s a medical reason. Is there any actual rationale for this? Is it safer or do you get more out of the class? I hate being barefoot outside of my house and have seen some gross feet in my Pilates classes and can’t stomach getting plantar warts or anything similar. I’m thinking of just ignoring the policy unless there’s some sort of real reason? Plus the instructors walk around the studio in outside shoes, which seems a bit unsanitary submitted by /u/sommersolveig7 to r/pilates [link] [comments]
