Looking for eyeshadow recs, with the look pictured. I've never been good with eyeshadow, but I love the look of subtle dewy natural but better easy peasy eyeshadow. Does it exist? ​ I'm also not a big spender on makeup, but am open to any suggestions. (Like I said, Holy Grail 🤦🏻‍♀️). I'm a big fan of blush, so I use quite abit, and I'm afraid of eyeshadow competing with blush and lip color. I don't want a bunch of crazy colors on my face! I’m not here asking for advice, I just wanted to share. I genuinely like my eyes, even though they can be a bit difficult sometimes. I have naturally “soft smokey” eyelids, it runs in my family, my mom and even my great-grandmother have the same pigmentation. In the photo I am wearing brown mascara and brow makeup, but there is no eyeshadow or product on my eyelids. My eye area is very sensitive to makeup, and it also doesn’t tolerate heavy creams well. I feel like brands have thrown themselves into skincare so hard, actual makeup is disappearing. No new pallets unless it’s a collab with a brand or limited edition. Physical stores have virtually no eyeshadow pallets, online I checked colorpop, Anastasia and ulta and everything is out of stock. I feel like they’ve all given up. I know it was trendier in 2014-2018 but brands used to have huge drops of pallets and new ones being released. Everytime I do a makeup look and want to incorporate eyeshadow it always looks like it’s missing something. I can’t put my finger on it. Everyone else’s eye shadow looks are so pigmented and colorful and beautiful. Mine just looks like it’s missing something… or somethings off if that make sense. I thought it was the type of quality palette I was buying but I recently bought Juvia’s place eyeshadow which I thought was one of the better quality brands but it still seems like something is off . The colors aren’t popping like they should be idk . Maybe it’s user error lol. I f30 used to have skin issues for most of my life. And recently, finally got the chance to start wearing makeup. My husband consents it except, he thinks the eye-shadow colors I apply are inappropriate and "wild". He told me to tond it down because some of these eye shadows give strangers the wrong impression, in other words I'd look like a h00*er wearing them. I took his opinion under consideration but he still wasn't happy. he asked that I use nude colors and give up the blue, purple, red and the light colors but I refused. Yesterday I discovered he threw away all my 3 eye-shadow palette sets. his reasons was that I wore inappropriate colors when we visited his parents. I yelled at him saying he never should've touched them, he said he already gave me a warning about it and I shouldn't act shocked. I told him this is ridiculous and that I expect him to pay me for every single palette he threw out. not just that but get the same shades/colors. He said it wasn't is fault I brushed him off and refused to listen when he said I was looking like a clown and was embarrassing him. Now this made me feel so offeneded. I refused to talk to him after that. He told me I was making a mountain out if mole hill and said I need to start thinking about using "colorless" shades that don't pop up like the ones I used.
