Looking for a cheap gaming laptop
I have a powerful desktop and a MacBook. But i need a mobile windows for gaming, preferably small and solid one. I am thinking buying rtx 1070 or rtx 2070 how would they hold up in these times you think? I have been following 2nd hand razer blade laptops in japan for some time now. It looks like i can get some 2070 max q 4k olen ones for about 500 usd. Would this be a worth purchase? What would my other options be? If possible i would like a mediocre gpu but a good display. submitted by /u/exivor01 to r/pcmasterrace [link] [comments]

Best gaming laptop on a budget (under 1k)
I posted this to another subreddit, got no replies. Hi everyone, I’m turning 21 soon and my family wants to get me a new laptop for my birthday. I mainly play games like Minecraft, Garry‘s Mod, and Battleblock Theatre, but I’ve been wanting to get back into Fortnite as well. We recently got rid of our ancient pc from my childhood, so they want to ensure I have a way to play my games again. We’re not very knowledgeable on whats considered the best options, so if anyone here knows a good suggestion for a laptop, please let me know! budget: Not super expensive (under 1000 would be great but if there’s any with decent offers and sales) country: USA use case: Art and gaming, basically anything that can run games like Fortnite, but also emulated games + art software (Clip Studio Paint) i don’t know anything about specs, screen sizes, or any of the technical stuff. whatever is decent for the stuff i want to do is all I ask :) submitted by /u/Educational-Push3774 to r/SuggestALaptop [link] [comments]

Best Prime day deals for General and Gaming Laptops
Hey guys today is Prime Day deals. as usual I am going to try to list all of the good laptop deals in order of price as I have been doing this for 10 years now. (Waits for clapping and upvotes). Updated post for last day of prime. In order to get most of today's deals you need to be a prime member, you can join it here for free for 6 months, if you are 18-24 "young adult" or Join it here for 30 days free trial before you start ordering. I will try to mention each laptop's best usage for those who are unfamiliar with laptop specs. and if I have time I will also mention bd dels in cse you are considering one of them. Also, I am considering making list for Laptop accessories as well, so if you are interested in that please mention that in comments so I can be encouraged to do it, s these kind of lists it takes few hours of work at least to compile them. What to Avoid. Low res screens : Unless your budget 300 or under, or u r buying refurbished then at least aim for Full HD screens. Low ram : Windows 11 is a ram hog, so don't buy 4GB of ram or even 8 unless your budget is very limited, or usage is very minimal. Generic laptop brands: a lot of new generic brands have popped up recently, and their amazon listings mention a lot of fancy marketing, and claim they are powerful gaming laptops when they r really not. Laptops with weak specs just because it has very big "fake" discounts like few 100$ off without actually being worth it. And If you are eyeing a certain deal you are welcome to ask my opinion on it. Prices and deals are subject to change or end sooner than listed. Now here are the deals: 200~700 Good for basic general/college/office maybe light gaming towards the higher end of the budget. Best budget gaming laptop?
I’m currently thinking of buying a new laptop cuz my current one can’t run any games past Undertale and other 2d games like it 😭 but I’m not currently able to get a job im young and under the age requirement for my country. I literally need a gaming laptop for under like 800-1000(preferably at best under 600 if at all possible) I don’t need anything too fancy Aslong as it can do the bare minimum to run games submitted by /u/APersonWho737 to r/GamingLaptop [link] [comments]

Best gaming laptop around $1500
Budget: ~$1500 Country: USA Use Case: Mainly gaming. I play a mix of AAA games and competitive shooters, and I’d also use it for everyday use. Battery life matters somewhat, but gaming performance and display quality are the priorities. Preferred Specs: -OLED display preferred -At least 165Hz refresh rate -Minimum RTX 5070 Ti GPU -Good cooling/build quality -16GB+ RAM -1TB SSD preferred Notes: I’m open to different brands/models as long as the performance, thermals, and screen quality are solid. I was recommended the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16, but I wanted more opinions. Update: Seems like $1500 for a new laptop with these specs is not happening lol. Looks like I'll have to save a bit more. I guess my next question would be what can I get for $2500? submitted by /u/Jeanthebean33 to r/GamingLaptops [link] [comments]

What's a good budget gaming laptop I can get?
I've never had even a normal laptop before, so I'm coming here for help. All I know from my friends is 8 RAM and five hundred something GB is only a little and I won't want that. I want my laptop to - Be moddable (to add more RAM or whatever down the line) - be pretty solid at running games like Cyberpunk or marvel rivals - be no more than $800 - preferably be available on Amazon Does anyone have a recommendation? Here it is in the proper format: Budget: $800 Country: USA Use Case: Gaming Preferred Specs: I guess enough to run AAA games pretty smoothly, so at least 16 GB RAM submitted by /u/WonderousU to r/GamingLaptops [link] [comments]

are budget gaming laptops that fragile?
I heard people in this subreddit complain alot about their gaming laptops. Some says it only lasted them 2 years. Some says they faced many issues after 6 months . Some says that after that it only lasts as long as its warranty . However my current laptop acer aspire f15 with gtx 950m which is already 10 years old still doing fine (but ofc the battery health degraded) and i didn't even take good care of it as much, i never really clean its fan(i never use it on bed) and i also leave it turned on for days sometimes. Now im planning to get a new budget gaming laptop that hopefully can last 10 years+ or smt but after doing some research in this subreddit, it got me wondering if budget gaming laptops are really that fragile? Or its just really users's fault? submitted by /u/HutarSacker to r/GamingLaptops [link] [comments]

Brought myself a Decent Gaming Laptop
AMD Ryzen 7 7000 Series Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 16 Gigabytes System Memory 15.6 inches Screen Size 512 Gigabytes Storage Capacity 1920 x 1080 Screen Resolution Yes it looks like I brought it from Best Buy, but I’m on a budget so I brought it for $899 + $179 with protection plan. The employee at Best Buy says it’s the best I could get for under $1000 anyways. submitted by /u/Perceptive3577 to r/GamingLaptops [link] [comments]

What budget gaming laptop is considered reliable?
Hi, I've been looking for a new gaming laptop but every time I check they have problems like motherboard death and just something always going wrong in just a couple of months. I want quality assurance, I don't care as much for performance because it's better to have a slightly laggy pc than a dead one. My last laptop Omen x 15 2018 vram got cooked and started artifacting due to heat and the noise it produces was gonna make me go deaf. Some laptops I checked include: lenovo loq - motherboard death issues. HP victus - poor build legion - expensive... I am in a third world country meaning I can't get warranty nor replacement or return policy easily. I need something that can last me 3-4 years at best for about 1.2k at most. submitted by /u/Any_Cheetah_6267 to r/GamingLaptops [link] [comments]

MacBook Pro vs Gaming laptop
Planning on upgrading my current pc ( an Lenovo AIO ) I got a budget of 1800€ for a laptop. I will be using it for work which involves many tabs in browser, Photoshop or Affinity and Office. Oh and I also like to play some games from time to time. This post is a comparison between operating systems, as well as from a hardware perspective. Waiting for your recommendations :) . Thank you! submitted by /u/TheGrinch292 to r/laptops [link] [comments]

I water-cooled my gaming laptop
So my laptop has always had one big problem: heat. (MSI GF6611UE katana 3060 i7) It used to thermal throttle all the time. I even bought a “powerful” laptop cooler that pushed air into the chassis, but the side effect was brutal. The added air pressure made the stock fans wear out in 6–18 months, and I still had to underclock just to keep temps reasonable. Something had to change. The Idea 💡 Water cooling but for a laptop. I decided to build my own external water-cooling system, while keeping it as budget-friendly as possible. How It Works Inside the laptop, I added a flat copper pipe (hand-bent AC copper pipe, hammered flat after ~5 attempts over a month). This pipe sits directly on top of the existing CPU/GPU heatpipes, acting as a secondary loop. It’s connected to soft tubing that runs to an external 240mm radiator to cool the water. The cooled water then circulates back in. The Parts Radiator: 240mm Reservoir: an old plastic honey bottle 🐝 Pump: Silent fountain pump (rated for continuous 30,000 hours) Fans: 2x Arctic P12 PWM PST Fan/Pump control: Generic 12V PWM motor controller + 4-pin PWM fan controller Thermal interface: Upisiren thermal putty (fills gap between laptop pipes & added copper pipe) Mounting: 1.2mm aluminum wire (to tie the pipe in place) End Result It works surprisingly well — temps are way lower, no more throttling, and I don’t have to worry about killing my laptop fans every year. I could write a whole post about the struggles (pipe bending alone almost made me give up 😅), but I’ll save that for another time. Just wanted to share the project here. Note: Above text is organized into this neat article thanks to chatgpt. Edit: Adding more info 📊 Build Cost & Results A few people asked about parts and performance, so here’s the breakdown: Parts & Costs: Radiator (Amazon) – ₹3,200 Upisiren Thermal Putty (also used on memory chips) – ₹1,800 Arctic P12 PWM PST Fans (x2) – ₹1,200 AC Copper Pipe 8mm (local shop) – ₹600 Water Pump (AD20P-1230C from Techtonics) – ₹450 Pneumatic Tubes (12mm & 8mm, local plumbing shops) – ₹200 Pneumatic Push Fittings (Amazon) – ₹120 4-pin 12V PC Fan Controller – ₹450 1.2mm Aluminum Wire – ₹195 Generic PWM Controller (local shop) – ₹50 Wires, Switch, 12V Adapter (local shop) – ₹150 💰 Total Cost: ~₹8,500 Performance (Before vs After): Before: CPU thermal throttled at 95°C, clock speed dropped from 4.2GHz → 3.1GHz. GPU also throttled at 86°C, losing clock speed. This was with high-speed laptop fans and a KLIM Mistral Cooling Pad (now discontinued). After (Water Cooling): No more thermal throttling. Under benchmarks, CPU sustains turbo at 4.2GHz, with temps maxing around 90°C. In actual games, CPU never crosses 85°C (even in CPU-heavy titles). Yet to see GPU cross 72 degrees on 100% usage. submitted by /u/debjoy7 to r/IndianGaming [link] [comments]

Bought my dream gaming laptop at 15 using my own money
I'm almost 15 now, and I always wanted a good gaming PC/Laptop that ran games and could do video editing well. I freelanced last year my way to Rs. 1.5 Lakh with my old office laptop that barely ran Minecraft. I finally completed 10th class and did research for about a month and bought the Acer Nitro V 15 Before you ask why I did not get a PC instead, I planned an RTX 3070, 1440p build last year and was ready to buy after boards but my father told me to get a laptop as we will be moving a lot in next 2 years + I'll need to run this laptop for 2 years at least in college (totalling 4 years) Here are the specs: Ryzen 7-7735hs RTX 4050 6GB (75W, I know its low) 16 GB ram (will upgrade next yr) 512 GB + 1 TB ssd The total cost of this laptop turned out to be 70k INR which was very budget friendly and reasonable. I realised I do not need a 1440p gaming laptop as I'll be spending a lot of time studying now. I am also planning to buy a cooling pad and some RGB light strips for my setup. submitted by /u/Antinityfx to r/IndianGaming [link] [comments]

Is PC gaming becoming unaffordable relative to console for those on a budget?
Me and my brother were planning on a 1440p build and were looking up on the parts and prices online (India) this weekend. The R7800xt and the Ryzen 5800x3D alone costs like 1100$ (we have around 20% custom duty). Our final build came to an equivalent of around 1900 USD equivalent in our currency. Then we looked at the Xbox series X price and was shocked to see that it was ~580$ here (after customs). So we theorized that we could get a Series X, Game pass ultimate for a year, an RTX 3060 laptop on sale for around 900$ (or pre-owned 3070ti laptop), a 200$ 1440p monitor, and still have money left over to buy a couple of games. We have not yet decided what to do. From a purely financial perspective, it sounds like a complete rip-off to game on a PC for us. Is this how it always was, where you can't get a console equivalent PC for like 2.5x-3x the price? Or is it a recent thing? With AI demands ensuring that gaming GPU's will never be cheap for the near future, should we just give up on hoping for affordable mid-high end gaming? Edit - When I made this post, I really thought consoles run games at 1440p 60fps at the least. People have educated me that it's not the case, so my 7800xt build definitely is a bit over budget there. Time to compare and reevaluate! submitted by /u/shadowblaze25mc to r/gaming [link] [comments]

Whats more worth buying, a custom pc or a gaming laptop?
Hello, is it worth it to build a pc or get a gaming laptop? I have a $1000 budget. I'll be using the laptop/pc for occasional gaming and mostly CAD and rendering. The laptop im leaning towards is the Asus TUF gaming f15 (rtx 3060 gb 15 11th gen). I need a machine that can last me atleast 3 years. I don't know much about pc parts and stuff so decided to come here. submitted by /u/Legendnotpro to r/buildapc [link] [comments]
