It’s so odd how the fruit snack market is pretty wide open right now. There are literally no options other than Welches, Fruit by the Foot and Gushers. Bring these things back! Every popular franchise always had either a fruit snack or a drink.

Very specific juicy center fruit snacks?
Back in the late '00s-mid '10s there were these "juicy" filled fruit snacks or gummy candies that I used to get from the gas station (U.S). They were fruit shaped and IIRC there were 4 flavors in the bag, one was strawberry or raspberry with lemon inside, one was green apple with a pink filling I don't remember the flavor of, but most importantly there was one that was dark purple, with a white/very light blue filling that to me always tasted more like bubblegum than anything else. I've googled this a lot and the closest thing I can find is Welch's Juicefuls, but that doesn't seem like it could be right because those are all transparent/more "natural" looking if that makes sense. I think the bag they came in was a dark purple/indigo color. Does anyone have an idea of what it is I'm remembering? submitted by /u/homalamake to r/TipOfMyFork [link] [comments]

Small square fruit snacks with real fruit inside (early 2000s)
I’m looking for a small gummy fruit snack from my childhood. I believe this would be 2003 or 2004. It was a small square gummy cube, when bitten into it had real fruit juice and a small chunk of real fruit inside. These were small, slightly translucent cubes that were the exact shade of the fruit inside. I specifically remember there being a mango one, but there were multiple kinds. The cubes were sort of matte and there was no sugar on the outside. They were not sticky. I believe they may have been marketed as a “healthy” candy due to the real juice and fruit inside, but this is total speculation on my part. Edited to add that each candy had its own clear wrapper. So most likely all the flavors came in a bag together, rather than these being sold in individual sizes packets (like gushers or Welch’s fruit snacks) submitted by /u/thecatspajamas02 to r/HelpMeFind [link] [comments]

Am I crazy or did they remove all the gush from Fruit Gushers?
I got a bag as a promo from my local gas station. Huge drink and Gushers for 2$. Figured why not? Hadn't had any in ages. I take a bite. Where the hell is the gush? I had to throw in like 8 to feel anywhere close to 1s worth when I was growing up. I was expecting a nostalgic snack but instead got hit with 2026 shrinkflation or something. Am I crazy or did they basically ruin their own product? Edit- I just found out that Welch’s Juicefuls is the go to for gush now. May have to try some soon. I guess one good thing in Fruit Gushers favor is they're technically Lenten friendly. So at least I have a go to terrible candy for Great Lent. submitted by /u/weirdsideofreddit1 to r/candy [link] [comments]

What are those colorful, chewy, fruit-flavored snacks that were popular in the 90s?
I'm trying to recall the name of a nostalgic snack from my childhood that I loved in the 90s. These treats were soft and chewy, often shaped like small fruits or animals, and came in a variety of vibrant colors such as red, green, and yellow. They had a distinct fruity flavor that was sweet and slightly tangy, making them incredibly addictive. I remember enjoying them at birthday parties and school events, and they were often sold in little bags. They might have been a popular brand or perhaps a generic option, but they definitely left a mark on my taste buds. If anyone can help me find the name of these delightful snacks, I would be so grateful! submitted by /u/greatdane511 to r/TipOfMyFork [link] [comments]

Early 2000's fruit snacks shaped like butts.
What were these fruit gummies from 25 years ago? Found in the US, East Coast. Most popular between 1999 & 2002. By 2003 they were almost impossible to find outside of discount grocery stores. They came in a yellowish plastic package, about the size and shape of a pack of M&M's. I think there may have been a sun or sun rays on the package and a clear part on the lower right maybe? where you could see the gummies. I also think they may have been manufactured for a large brand like Del Monte, Dole, Chiquita, Motts or a fruit juice company? The gummies themselves were large, butt-shaped, fairly flat, clear, mostly a natural muted fruit juice color like yellow, light orange and light pink but one half (the "banana" half) was always yellow. They were about the size of a .50 cent piece and they were chewy - more like Gushers than Gummy Bears, but they were not sticky / had kind of a "matte" texture on the outside. I think there were two? flavor options that came in two different packages. I remember one of the flavors might have had pineapple or strawberry in it, and another was something like Banana Orange? I've been trying to find out what they were for years. Help! submitted by /u/TrooDaShooAway20 to r/HelpMeFind [link] [comments]

Which was your favorite fruit snack and why was it Shark Bites?
I loved me some fruit snacks back in the day. Shark Bites was my jam. Gushers was a close second. Get home grab 2 packs and watch Tiny Toons and Bonkers 🤣. My teen years the boys and I would get a couple boxes, smoke up and wreckum. I miss those days 😉 submitted by /u/TrinityKilla82 to r/Xennials [link] [comments]

Fruit snacks on a PB&J make it a much better sandwich
I've been adding fruit snacks to my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches since I was a little kid. I'd use everything from gushers, shark bites, gummi bears, whatever happened to be at home, in my lunch bag or what i could trade for at the lunch table. As I got older I switched to dried fruits like prunes, Raisins, cranberries etc. But the chewy, sweet additions remained a constant. I honestly didn't even think this was that crazy of a take until I told my group of friends and they all looked at me like I had 3 heads? Am I the only one who does this? submitted by /u/FrylockMcReaper to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]

Fruit snack addiction
Before Ozempic I had a really bad fruit snack addiction. I would buy a box of fruit gushers and finish it all in one day and justify it by saying they’re only 90 calories a pack. It was so bad. I would also constantly go to publix and eat a 6 pack of cupcakes for desert. I’ve been on Ozempic for about 14 weeks now and i haven’t looked at a box of fruit snacks once. I now look at abundance of food in disgust for example those milkshakes with cakes and donuts. I don’t know how at one point I could eat all that and think it’s ok. I’m done making excuses about my eating habits. I went from 205-176. submitted by /u/WonderfulThrowaway24 to r/Ozempic [link] [comments]

Smuckers Fruit Snacks?
I’m trying to find any photos or information about a specific type of fruit snack from the late 90s/early 2000s. Details: -I’m pretty sure it was Smuckers brand. -It was not Welch’s or Mott’s. -It played off the “jelly” theme and the fruit snacks were filled with a thick jelly, similar to Gushers. -They were round, berry-looking fruit snacks, similar to photos shown. Only 1 shape. -Flavors were berry-themed -Each fruit snack was fairly large, 1 inch x 1 inch x 0.5 inch tall. -The bottom of the fruit snack was very thick, then filled with jelly, and a thinner top part. -Box had gingham design (like Smuckers) -Fairly high quality, not cheap -Not super popular, only available for a year or a couple years -Found at normal grocery store -Don’t think there were any TV commercials of them -best guess for years: 1999-2001 submitted by /u/PerfectConcert6695 to r/TipOfMyFork [link] [comments]

Putting away “food” as a 18 year old teen mom
Oreos, gushers, gram crackers, koolaid, rainbow yogurt tubes, sprite regular and cranberry, capri suns, Gatorade, cheese, milk x2, bread buns, baby yogurt fruit snacks, frozen pasta, frozen nuggets, frozen waffles, frozen cookies, frozen beef steak, frozen curly fries x2, ice cream x2, frozen cinnamon rolls, biscuit cookies, cheese filled crackers, mini powdered donuts, chips, m&m cookies, tortilla wraps, Oreo minis, cereal bars, blueberry muffins, croissants and chocolate milk boxes. That’s the groceries she got for her and her kid as a teen mom…. That kid is going to have food, stomach and teeth issues just like it’s mommy. Literally only thing healthy she got was milk and bread. No meats, veggies, etc. (she definitely could have had some before this food run) I hate the “why are all the teen moms so more responsible” from the 40+ year old mom and love the “the food you buy just screams teen mom” and I couldn’t have agreed more. Oh and she was getting paid and promoted by Tiktok to show this video. Next pay day from tiktok will be even more junk food and frozen shit I bet. submitted by /u/CleoraMC to r/antinatalism [link] [comments]

I’m sorry for eating all your fruit roll ups, gushers, cereal bars, cinnamon bread and ice cream when I slept over growing up….
I grew up in a nice area but my mom raised my sister and I alone so we really didn’t have much. My mom made a vat of mashed potatoes and a big pot of stew that we ate for every meal throughout the week. My friends’ houses seemed spectacular to me. They had pantries with all kinds of snacks. I would wait until everyone was asleep and go absolutely nuts often killing entire boxes of treats or tubs of ice cream. I was never caught in the act and I was never confronted. I think every parent understood what was going on or just didn’t keep tabs on their pantry contents. I’m in my late 20s now and just bought my first house. I was stocking my pantry and started to get emotional. I’ve never spoke to anyone about it. TL:DR I ate all ur snacks when I slept over growing up and I’m sorry. submitted by /u/DigBickThe1Trick to r/TrueOffMyChest [link] [comments]
