I've recently discovered a brand of clothing that does adorable collabs for bamboo baby clothes with some of my favorite fandoms. What I don't understand is why one baby zippy pajama is $40 and why there seems to be a weird culty community around it. I joined a group dedicated to this specific brand and all the people on there almost act like sales reps, it's super weird and offputting. Like, I want to be matchy with my baby (just had him 6 days ago woo) but I'm worried about the prices and also is this just a giant MLM thing? I keep seeing people rave about bamboo pajamas for babies and kids, and I’m starting to wonder if they’re actually as good as everyone says. Right now we mostly use cotton sleepwear, and while it’s fine, my toddler still gets sweaty at night. A few friends told me bamboo PJs help with temperature regulation and are softer, but I haven’t tried any yet. I’m curious if they actually make a noticeable difference for sensitive skin too. I’ve also been reading about how bamboo fabric is more breathable and stretches a bit more, which sounds great for kids who move around a lot in their sleep. But I’ve also heard some bamboo brands can be pricey, so I’m not sure if the upgrade is worth it. I have a 7 month old baby who is a big dude (99% weight and 93% height), and in 18 month sleepers 😅 I normally love burts bees footy (and non footy one piece) jammies, but for him they’re too snug through the crotch. Pregnant first time mom here! Baby started crawling last week and now her most adorable rainbow pajamas from B&R are destroyed. She was outgrowing them anyway, so I won’t be screaming crying throwing up about it. That said..does every brand with this material just rip to shreds with crawling or is there any in particular that stand up to it? Our baby is almost 6 months old and is already growing out of her 9 months sized pajamas. I’m having a hard time finding pajamas that are warm enough for her at night! The bamboo and cotton ones are way too thin and she wakes up with freezing cold hands and cheeks. She’s been wearing fleece but now I can’t find fleece onesies in 12 month sizes. What do folks put their babies in to keep them warm without blankets and yet safely cosleep? I don’t trust sleep sacks because there’s so much extra fabric pooled around her, I’m worried that me or my husband will lie on it and pin in it down while she is sleeping. In the C curl my knees come close to her feet sometimes, and I don’t want to pin her down by sleeping on her sleep sack. Help please! I'm looking for sleepers/PJs with the feet that accommodate my LO with chubby legs and a thick overnight cloth diaper. We got a bunch of hand-me-downs, so we have a variety of brands already. However, so far the only ones that fit her are bamboo. Are these safe? I've heard it's just rebranded rayon. I really wanted to like bamboo pajamas, I really did. Everyone raves about them online, says they’re so buttery soft, and brands like Little Sleepiest seems to have a cult following. So I bought a pair of Little Sleepies and… I’m just not blown away. It’s not very impressive to me, I guess. They aren’t terrible but I wouldn’t buy them again. I wanted to be wowed and I was let down. I rate them lower than average, like a 4/10. First of all, the sizing seems weird. Do they deliberately make their sizing run big so that people can say “my X month old is still in their 0-3 pair of pajamas!” Because the sizing is way off other non bamboo clothes in my opinion. Also, my baby always gets overheated in them, even when it’s chilly inaide. Not sure how that is possible when the fabric is so thin but it is. They say the feet fold over and they do, but it’s not functional. The baby’s feet leave the designated socks area and end up flapping around in the legs part of the sleeper outfit. If I fold the ends up over the baby’s legs, or leave red marks because it’s so stuff against my baby’s legs. They’re really tricky to get on and off for diaper change. It takes way longer than regular onesies. A couple of the designs are cute, but most designs I see on sites aren’t that great. And I’m someone who likes bold, colorful print! But most aren’t really that cute to me. The fabric also doesn’t seem nice enough to justify the cost. I really wanted to like them. I was ready to be obsessed. Can someone explain to me what I’m missing or change my mind? I’m open to changing my mind about it if I’m not seeing some perks. My wife got caught up in this bamboo clothing marketing trap. These companies, run by influencers it seems, took Rayon and are now calling it "Bamboo" which is super cheap to produce with manufacturing concerns and are making huge profit margins by charging ridiculous amounts for small children's outfits. $50+ for pajamas in some cases. They've turned it into this lifestyle thing where "you wouldn't understand" how addictive it is and "dad just doesn't get it" where they post memes about lying to dads about how much they paid for it. We now have thousands of dollars invested in pajamas, blankets, and sheets. Luckily there's a second hand market for these things for now. It makes me angry to see someone so smart fall for this trap. We now have to invest in fancy fabric stain removers because everytime our kid eats in one of these we have try to save it. My wife has stopped spending so much, but this could almost bankrupt someone with less resources with how addictive it seems. I'm tired of how much my life involves bamboo now.
