Extracting during a trios match and got stunned twice by a hornet. Both times while climbing inside the escape hatch. Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like this is a bug because no way Arc should be able to pull raiders out of a hatch like that. Even in PvP it would be impossible to hit that shot while I was already inside. Edit: Holy smokes, I did not anticipate getting this many upvotes/comments. I expected like a few dozen but damn. It’s been funny reading the witty comments and gifs. To address some commentators, what started off as taking pot shots at a lone distant hornet turned into what that was. One of my squad members started to get anxious and called for the hatch escape which led to our hasty retreat. We definitely should have held our ground and finished off those arcs or go down trying. As a few people pointed out, It would have even been safer for all of us to get downed because at least then the arc would not have been harassing us while we crawled to escape hatch. It’d be cool if Embark could fix this bug or hook it up with my lost loot, but it’s nothing to sweat about. At the end of the day it’s just a game and it’s been a hell of a ride. I’m 26 and currently driving a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer with ~310k miles that I've had for 10 years. It’s held up well, but upcoming repairs will cost more than the car is worth, so I’m looking to replace it in next few months to a year. I’ve test driven both and I’m still torn. 2026 Mazda3 Hatchback 2.5 S Carbon Edition (non-turbo) All-wheel drive Interior quality feels well above its price More engaging, driver-focused feel Feels cramped at times Visibility isn’t great Exterior is okay, but not my favorite 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Hatchback Prefer the exterior styling Hybrid efficiency is appealing (1.5 hr daily commute, 5 days/week) In the city about 2x/week where hybrid helps Interior felt bland after driving the Mazda Driving experience felt boring by comparison Main dilemma: Mazda3 feels better to drive and sit in. BLUF: I made the table I wish existed comparing new car/SUV models based on exterior length, gas mileage, and cargo space. Background: I live in a US city where I use transit most of the time to get around but still find one car for my family worth it. Being in a dense urban environment, I have to street park so exterior length is a top concern. I own a paid-off, 2019 Kia Niro PHEV that I got when I had a place to plug in at home. My plan is to buy in three years when the powertrain warranty expires (I needed a transmission replacement at ~40k miles that would have been VERY expensive without the warranty). I figure ten years is enough for a car, and I have the means to buy a new one at a reasonable price. Plus, now that I can't plug in at home, I don't need to lug around the big PHEV battery. But oh boy was I shocked when I began looking around a bit and discovered the paucity of new car options for city dwellers. I had no idea that the last time I bought a car (2019) was basically the time that the US market for subcompact hatches died. Today, hatchbacks short enough to make frequent street parking feasible are scattered across the strange universe of automobile categorization as "SUVs," "Crossovers," and "Hatchbacks" that makes comparison an arduous process. I don't need the drive to be awesome or for the car to have amazing features. I want my car to be short enough to street park easily, efficient enough to save money on gas, and roomy enough to carry my family and some bulkier objects from point A to point B. And because I can't charge at home, there's no convenient charging infrastructure around, and we're a one-car family, I'm ruling out an EV. If international barriers were not a thing, I would almost certainly buy a Renault Clio. If I was looking to buy used, I would buy a Fit/Fiesta type. But I live in the US, and I'd rather just keep my 2019 Niro if I can't buy new. This list was compiled from websites ranking "compact" cars and previous Reddit threads suggesting models to previous posters similar to me. A lot of replies on previous posts were really ignorant about exterior length. People will just suggest a Prius having no idea how long it is. My current car is bolded and italicized. My hope is that one of the old subcompact hatches gets reintroduced to the US market in the next three years (looking at you, Toyota Yaris!) or one of the smaller cars on this list inserts a hybrid powertrain that can get closer to 50 mpg (do it, VW Golf!). But those two events are unlikely and I'll probably end up buying a Niro again, except now it's 2.5 inches longer (annoying, but probably the best option). Or I'll just hold on to my current car for as long as I can seeing as its probably the best one on this list despite being 7 years older. If I missed any models you think fit this list, please suggest them! TL;DR: Made a list of new cars short enough for street parking by my own subjective standard. Why I'm holding Hatch responsible for a night of hell. Of course, your algorithms change when you become pregnant and you are swarmed with videos of what to do, then another warning you not to do that, then what to buy, then why not. It’s overwhelming and problematic. My favorite, which I retain on screenshot, is “Amazon momma must-haves PART 47” [caps are mine] Part 47 what the absolute shit. This isn’t 47 things from Amazon, which is a disaster in itself, this is the 47th LIST of things. It was at this point I turned more seriously to the advice of friends and Reddit rather than that of earnest influencers. But the hatch. Beloved by so many. Loathed by few. I wavered and kept it on my registry, and it was swiftly purchased by lovely colleagues. I should have listened to Reddit. It’s stupid. It’s so stupid and I hate Amazon but I know I can buy a better product there for a third of the price. I don’t pay for a subscription but you would think the two noises I get for free would be available. Oh no, they will cut in and out and I will constantly have to skip jump ropes to reset the thing so it can fulfill its #1 purpose of playing soft sounds to lure my baby to sleep and keep him there for the night. Last night, the hatch and I engaged in fisticuffs and I lost badly. Imagine: you are sick, your baby is sick, he has projectile vomited everywhere and you just need to get him to sleep so you can wash the sour baby sick smell out of your hair, clean the floor, and lay down. And. The. Hatch. Won’t. Stop. Cutting. In. And. Out. And he wakes up each time because you have the sound up because it’s a fricking sound machine and you’re trying to drown out other noises, right?? And how hard is it to just play brown noise???? I could shush without taking a breath longer than the Hatch could last. And I can’t just set down a crying baby and reset it because it takes minutes to do so (explanation from their website below). Sure, I could have reset it yesterday morning but me sick, baby sick, and work. And I won’t lie, I’m listening to it skip in and out right now because I still haven’t reset it. Learn from my mistake and know you don’t need to buy everything that is recommended to you. If you need something after all, you can order it on Amazon and have it in hours (problematic or not). And listen to redditors before you buy. I feel like Hatch is one of the most complex people to ever play the show, even if he had a very easy character to digest. He basically invented the mindset of the game, being that one really strategic guy on a show when most people's strategic mindset was very weak or even lacking altogether. He had controversies with the tax stuff, some controversial statements on social media and ofc the Sue incident in All-Stars, which puts him in this peculiar spot in which he isn't really favored and reveared as this legend of the show like Boston Rob or Parvati for example, but also isn't entirely hated and in fact is still talked about from time to time, Jeff has namecalled him at the end of 41 when revealed the twist of returning to reading the votes on Fiji, how Rich was the only one who had this experience at the time. And ofc, he is the very first winner: a very special title that's hard to ignore. What do you think about him, as a player and person? Do you love him? Hate him?
