Yeah, Gobbles drinks the juice box, but we never see the green plus signs that indicate a healing effect show up on him. - The Occam's razor approach is probably Gobbles simply had full health, so he had no need to heal. However, what if the reason Gobbles never heals, is because of the way educational games work. In educational games one typically doesn't have a health bar. In a lot of educational games one is simply meant to figure out the puzzle, and considering these games are made for very young children they are pretty lenient on attempts. Essentially there's no way to restore health in an educational game, because there's no reason to do so. Now if this is true what does this imply about Gobbles, is Gobbles incredibly fragile because he has no way to restore his health, or perhaps he's invincible to damage in general because he was never meant to take damage. I've had it for a couple years now, it never stays healed. Once it heals it'll come apart again within a few weeks. Nah, ain’t no way 25 years of severe trauma will heal. Learn how to mask? Probably. Heal? Definitely not. All these psychologists, coaches and authors selling all their “how to heal” shit is actually just a how to understand what happened to you and simply learn how to fake it. In reality, only money can “heal” because then you’d have access to health care and relaxation. But 25 years of trauma made me disabled, so I live in poverty. Therapy isn’t free. Everything is a contradiction and a fucking business. I’m sick of it. As my therapist likes to say, healing isn't all rainbows and butterflies. No matter how hard I "tried" to be different, I picked up many ways of relating to the world from my abusers (ie, my family of origin). Left untreated, my emotional dysregulation, inability to self-sooth, hyper sensitivity to criticism, mental fragmentation, numbing, narcissism, and addictions would inevitably perpetuate the cycle of abuse as a significant other or parent. My wife is not my surrogate mother who I subconsciously expect to be perfectly attuned to me. The world is not responsible for tiptoeing around my triggers. I interpret many perfectly neutral interactions to be critical or negative. As a full grown adult, I have an ability to set healthy boundaries, to take care of myself, and to accept myself lovingly that I am abdicating to others. The way through these issues is not control, isolation, or self harm. It is through self awareness and taking responsibility to slowly learn what I should have as a child through reparenting myself. It isn't easy, pleasant, or fast, but these lessons have already saved my marriage and in many ways, myself.
