2 months of walking with pcos
I wanted to share this if it could motivate anyone to walk. I never realized how much it changed me until I compared pics. It’s crazy what our body can do in 2 months. TO RECTIFY: I definitely made changes in my diet, ate 80g of protein+ - high fiber (chia seeds, fruits, nuts, oats and veggies) - lower carbs or better carbs (whole grains etc but I still eat pasta and rice + noodles) - I don’t eat as much sugar and avoid to snack on pringles and chocolate now 🤪 I do dark chocolate with berries and nuts when I need it before my period or before tennis for example (play tennis once a week for 2 hours) Most important in my opinion is SLEEP! 7/8 hours no screen time 30 min before. But overall I believe that walking creates discipline. Discipline makes your more aware of your nutrition and lowers anxiety as you’re in control of your life. I’m still new in this and will update you but let’s get walking guys :) submitted by /u/Low_Total9674 to r/walking [link] [comments]

Falls jemand ähnliche einfache High-Protein Frühstücksideen hat, gerne her damit :) submitted by /u/Bananajoeey to r/FitnessDE [link] [comments]

There is no complicated formula, you simply have to stay at it regardless of your emotions.
May 2025 vs April 2026. I was roughly 220lbs in the before and hover around 140 today! Make it your goal to lose body fat, not just weight. The process of getting "toned" is simply losing enough body fat for your muscle mass to reveal. This often means you need to stop chasing simply seeing a smaller number on the scale. What supports fat loss is what I’ve done and continue to do: consistent strength training (tells your body to keep shape here), 8-10k steps daily, eating primarily whole foods & keeping protein high (my favorites: chicken, steak, potatoes, eggs, apples, grapes) and resting. There is no secret that other people know that you don’t! It’s just staying consistent even when it’s hard. Unrelenting discipline, routine, eating real food, holding yourself accountable, and getting comfortable with the process. I also do not have any added sugar, no alcohol, no fast food or ultra-processed snacks. Fasting kills the parasites and cravings for these things. When you notice how much better you feel and perform eating whole foods, it becomes second-nature. Your genetics shine the closer you get to a healthier body weight. There is no drug or surgery (unless you absolutely need it) or magic product that supersedes the God-given ability to eat well and to move, that's all you have to do! Consistently. submitted by /u/asongforyou1 to r/PetiteFitness [link] [comments]

High protein snacks that actually keep you full while cutting?
I’m currently trying to lose some fat and improve my diet, and one of my biggest struggles is staying full throughout the day without relying on high-fat foods. I tend to get hungry pretty quickly, especially between meals, and I’ve noticed that a lot of snacks either don’t satisfy me or end up being higher in calories due to fat content. My goal is to find simple, practical, high-protein snack options that help with satiety and make it easier to stay consistent with my diet. I’m not looking for anything complicated, just things that actually work in real life and help you stay full longer. What snacks or foods have worked best for you when trying to lose fat while keeping protein high? submitted by /u/relaxncoffee to r/loseit [link] [comments]

High fiber snacks with no teeth
Hello, I've been working on upping my fiber content, and due to nausea issues typically can only eat one full meal and then small snacks throughout the day. My challenge is that I have no upper teeth, it isn't difficult to eat beans at home for a meal but for small snacks at work I'm having a harder time. I don't want to be microwaving meals or trying to eat something like mashed sweet potato as a snack. I can chew, I just can't crunch - seeds and nuts are totally out, and fibrous fruits vegetables that aren't cooked or mashed don't work at all. I've been sucking on things like cheerios which works fine, and pre-packaged pouches of purees, but those are getting expensive and I'm hoping for something cheaper I can make in big batches! I've tried making protein/fiber balls that are predominantly peanut butter and steel rolled oats, but being unable to chew the oats at all and just sucking on them didnt lead to fun times for my stomach/bathroom. I don't mind weak or uninteresting flavors, I just want fibrous cheap fuel for my body. Lots of thanks in advance! submitted by /u/SignificantCats to r/EatCheapAndHealthy [link] [comments]

Don’t fall in the “High in Protein” scam
So lately “high in protein” or “protein” food has become very popular… We see protein desserts, protein coffee and even protein sodas! It’s important that you remember that just because something has protein in it doesn't mean it’s healthy… it only means that, well, it has protein. You should still pay attention to the other values, like sugar and fats, and remember that it is all about consuming your daily macros, and that no because you eat more protein you’re going to build more muscle or loose more fat… Some of these food can be nice to have if you struggle to reach your daily protein goal, but I find that many of these foods are actually high in calories and the amount of protein in them is not that high. Personally I like the 1:10 rule, meaning at least 1g of protein per 10 calories. My go to protein bar is the Barebells White Chocolate Almond (or any Barebells flavor but white chocolate is my personal favorite). And please don't falls for “protein” scams such as the Protein poptarts… just because the added a huge Protein banner on the box, it doesn't make them a high protein and much less healthy snack (only 10g protein for 380cal). submitted by /u/AspectNo3215 to r/1200isplenty [link] [comments]

What are your “always buy” Costco staples right now?
I’m trying to tighten up my weekly grocery spending and stop wandering the aisles like a confused raccoon 😅 What are your current must-buy Costco staples? Bonus points if they’re: good for quick meals (busy weeknights) healthy-ish / high protein actually worth the space at home Would love to hear what you’re loving right now (food, snacks, household, anything). Thank you! UPDATE 12/22/2025 - I just went to Costco and came home with a lot of these suggestions! Thank you again! :) submitted by /u/PutridWin2070 to r/Costco [link] [comments]

Do you mostly try to eat low carbs and high protein or do you just eat your normal foods but a decreased amount?
I absolutely know I have to eat a lot of protein and increase fiber. But as far as eating very little carbs, I don’t want this to feel like a “diet”, like the ones I have failed countless times. I’m wondering if anyone eats “normal” (in a lesser amount) instead of really restricting most things. I am not saying eat dessert every day. I’m just saying if I want a turkey sandwich on wheat bread, that’s ok. Or if I want a baked potato, that’s ok. Or a piece of meatloaf. And if I want a cookie once a week, that’s ok too. I’m not going to live on grilled chicken and salad for the rest of my life. My appetite is so much less, I probably am eating half of what I used to eat. So could I eat half of what I always ate for meals, while at the same time definitely decreasing the sweets and snacks. I’m hope I’m explaining myself correctly. submitted by /u/Not_Telling_Nope to r/Zepbound [link] [comments]

My new go to snack. Low calorie, high protein, sugar free!
Started ozempic a couple days ago. Honestly…it sucks feeling I’ve got food coming back up at night. This is light, helps with protein goal and sugar free. About 300 calories 54g of protein. Sugar free jello (family pack) 2 cups boiling water Combine them both, let it rest for a bit to cool Add 2 cups of Greek yogurt mix and boom! Refrigerate overnight or a few hours, top with zero sugar whipped cream submitted by /u/advictoriam5 to r/diabetes_t2 [link] [comments]

Ladies and Gentlemen... It happened. A once in a lifetime experience and it was lost on my wife.
I have a toddler (4F) who is in her, "survive off a pea for hours" stage. It's the third kid so it's not new to us but still frustrating. We purchased Snack Packs as bribery to finish her food. We're sitting at dinner and at minimum, we try and at least negotiate some protein in her if she refuses to eat at all. She was being EXTRA picky this time and my wife was not in the mood, she was getting frustrated. This frustration lead to such an extreme high and extreme low for me, in the span of 5 seconds. My daughter picked at her food and asked if it was enough for a Snack Pack. My wife, in her frustration, raises her voice at our toddler. "YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YOUR MEAT!!" To which I OBVIOUSLY replied, "HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING UNLESS YOU EAT YER MEAT?!?!" Then bursted out laughing hysterically and my wife just stared at me confused. She did not get the reference. I was robbed of this moment, so I will take my small joy here for others to enjoy. submitted by /u/ImThe1Wh0 to r/Millennials [link] [comments]

Snack to help reach daily protein targets
I find myself often finishing my day after dinner with around 500 calories left and 20-30 g of protein left. My fat intake probably is around 80-90% of my daily targets while my carbs are around 60%. Are there any suggestions for cheap and quick snacks to make or buy to help cover the last 20-30 that aren’t that high in calories? Any ideas for high protein breakfasts or snacks that don’t include eggs?
Hi everyone! Im really trying to be more strict with myself and force myself to eat something with protein in the morning even though im not at all hungry and it feels like a chore 🥲 it really helps both my symptoms and the effectiveness of my medication. However im so sick of the same protein bar everyday and i have a pretty strong aversion to eggs. Wondering if anyone has any ideas for me or foods that work well for them? Thanks so much for any ideas! ETA: thank you so much everyone for all of the ideas! I need late night high-protein snacks
I am a snacker. I always have been but I’m currently trying to lose the baby weight. I’ve started today. Got a personal trainer, they gave me a workout plan, I already planned breakfast lunch and dinner for the next two weeks. However, I am breastfeeding and every time I feed my girl I get hungry. I have been just drinking water when I want to snack, but come bedtime after I put baby to sleep I catch my self checking the pantry for a snack but I don’t want to eat junk. Tonight I had a cup of grapes. But guess what I’m still hungry. I ate 1700 and burned ~ 550 according to my recorded workout and daily activity. I’ve been struggling to hit my protein goal as well so if I can’t get protein packed snacks (preferably not time consuming). Please help! EDIT: okay thank you so much! I did not expect that many responses! I am actually excited to try a bunch of these this week! Also thank you for everyone concerned for my milk supply! I said it to a few people in the comments but I am 11 months pp so I’m not too worried about it! But thank you for being so caring 🥹 Edit 2: oh this is my day to day life and the breakfast and lunch are almost always the same 6 - wake up - energy drink or homemade coffee then gym for about an 1.5h 9 - breakfast for me and babe usually eggs and yogurt (because it’s easier to eat what I make for her) and either a protein shake (pre bought or homemade) 10 - she naps and I clean up all her toys and rearrange the room so it looks new for her. Then I sit and do school work (usually an hour) then when she wakes up if she’s content playing by herself I’ll continue school work 12 - I usually am hungry again so I make a turkey and provolone sandwich with a spoonful of cottage cheese and give babe a few bites 1 - playing with babe and read etc. sometime 2 - my sister comes home and we are usually prepping dinner with her (for a family of 6, I live with my parents) 3 - put babe down for another nap and clean and school again 4 - my little brother comes home and I am helping him learn gym forms 5 - I start cooking dinner 6 - cook dinner and feed baby then bathe baby 7 - put baby to bed 8-10 - I catch up on TikTok/Netflix etc. then is when I start wanting snacks submitted by /u/tcarmi3 to r/EatCheapAndHealthy [link] [comments]
