Refused to price match - How much money does EB make per game or?
So I have known for 20+ years that EB won't price match something that's not 'physically able to be picked up in store' Today I went to get Yoshi at $109, but JB had it for $94, but then I saw Officeworks has it for $84! That's near $30 off! So I walked in, thinking I'd get the best customer service due to being level 4 (stupid), and I said JB has it and then Officeworks. She said I'd need to see if they have it in store. I said I can order it today and it'll be in tomorrow. She said I can't match that. I said why's that? She said because you can't get in store today. I said, but tomorrow will be today when I have it there ready to be picked up? She stood there... then said no we can't unless it's in-store, not ordered. I said okay, just cancel it then (got the full $109 back, as I pay off most things usually) and walked out. I then went online to JB live chat, and they said they'll match the $84, and now I have it. So, how much does EB Games lose on that sale? I'm unsure how wholesalers or whatever it is works. Like do they pay $XX to Nintendo and then they keep $XX? If EB keeps practicing in the world of not understanding the online world, will they just slowly as always be left behind when it comes to price matching and keeping customers? submitted by /u/Remarkable_Custard to r/EBGAMES [link] [comments]

I’m 19 and trying to support my family — how can I start making money online?
I’m 19 and trying to figure things out, so I thought I’d reach out here and see if anyone can guide me in the right direction. I live with my mum and my three younger siblings. I recently got promoted to a QC/QA role at a food manufacturing company, working five days a week. I’m grateful for the job, but between work and everything else, I don’t always get much time to be present at home. What’s been weighing on me the most is seeing my mum struggle financially. She’s doing everything she can, but it’s tough. My younger sister even had to drop important university courses because we just couldn’t afford it, and that’s been hitting me hard. I don’t want to just sit back and watch my family go through this. I want to be someone who works hard for them someone they can rely on. I want to build something for myself and create a future where we’re not constantly stressed about money. That’s why I’m here. I’ve been looking into online trading, but I don’t really understand where to start or what’s actually legit. I’m not looking to buy expensive courses or get into anything that promises quick money I’m looking for something real that takes time and effort, and I’m willing to put that work in. If anyone has genuine advice the basics, what to avoid, or even better ways to make money online from home I’d really appreciate it. I’m not looking for shortcuts, just opportunities and direction. I just want to take some pressure off my family and do better for them. Any help means a lot, thank you. submitted by /u/Worried_Ad6350 to r/EarnExtraIncome [link] [comments]

The most underrated way to make money online right now. No seriously.
Okay so I made a post a few weeks back about how I make five figures a month with GMB drop servicing. It got over 30k views and I had an insane amount of people reaching out asking questions so I figured I'd write something more detailed and raw for anyone who genuinely wants to understand this model. Fair warning this is going to be a long one. If you can't be bothered reading it then honestly business probably isn't for you and I've just saved you a lot of time. No offence. So first things first. This is not a get rich quick scheme. I know that's what everyone says right before they try to sell you something for $3,000 that turns out to be four PDFs and a ghost. I'm not doing that. I'm just going to tell you exactly what I do. I run what's called GMB drop servicing. GMB stands for Google My Business. You know those listings that pop up when you search plumber near me or car detailing near me on Google Maps? The ones with the star ratings and the phone number? That's what I build. I set them up, I rank them at the top of Google organically, and when people call I send a local subcontractor to do the actual work and I keep the margin. No ads. No cold calling. No personal brand. Completely faceless. I don't do any of the physical work. I just run the listing. Here's why this works when everything else feels oversaturated. The people calling you are already warm. They searched for the service. They found you. They need it done. You're not convincing anyone of anything. You're just answering the phone professionally and booking the job. The conversion rate on these calls is insane compared to anything cold. The market is also genuinely undersaturated right now. Your competition in most suburbs is just actual tradespeople who have no idea how to optimise a Google profile. You come in with the right keywords, the right photos, a solid review count and you outrank someone who's been plumbing for 30 years. Not because you're better at plumbing obviously. Because you understand how Google works and they don't. Now here's the part most people skip over because they want the shortcut. The setup actually takes work. You have to validate your market using search volume tools. You have to set up the profile correctly with the right business name, the right category, the right keywords in your description. You have to get through video verification which takes patience. You have to build reviews which takes effort and creativity. None of this is difficult but all of it requires you to actually do it. The people I see fail at this model don't fail because it doesn't work. They fail because they overcomplicate it or they give up after two weeks when their profile hasn't gone viral on Google yet. This is a business. It compounds over time. Your first profile might take a month to start generating consistent calls. Your fifth profile feels like printing money because you've already done it four times and you know exactly what works. Once the calls are coming in you go on Facebook Marketplace, find a local subcontractor for whatever service you're running, agree on a split where they get the majority since they're doing the actual work, and you keep your margin on every single job. You then just manage the relationship, answer the phone, book the jobs and collect the difference. Scale it to multiple suburbs. Multiple niches. Hire a VA for a few dollars an hour to handle the calls and coordination. At that point you're genuinely hands off and the business runs while you sleep. I'm not going to sit here and tell you this is easy or that you'll be making ten grand a month in thirty days. What I will tell you is that if you actually set it up properly and give it ninety days of genuine consistent effort the results are real. I've done it. I'm doing it right now. If you have questions drop them in the comments. Happy to help where I can. If you want to go deeper I put together a full breakdown video on YouTube recently covering the whole process start to finish with zero gatekeeping. Just search ethanwhho on YouTube or drop a comment and I'll send you the link. Go build something. submitted by /u/Ethanos_666 to r/SideHustleGold [link] [comments]

student here, how do you actually make money online?
hey everyone, i’m a 2nd year IT student trying to find ways to earn money online to help with daily expenses like food and school stuff. i don’t really have money to invest, but i do have time, internet, and i’m willing to learn if needed. i’ve seen a lot of things like freelancing, selling stuff, content creation, data entry, etc., but honestly it’s confusing and i don’t know what’s actually legit or worth trying. if you’ve done this before or are currently earning online, how did you start and what worked for you? what skills should i focus on and what platforms are actually worth it? also how long did it take before you started making consistent money? i’m not expecting anything crazy, just something realistic i can balance with school and slowly grow. submitted by /u/Old_Fox6952 to r/EarnExtraIncome [link] [comments]

I spent 4 years trying every way to make money online… this is what finally worked
I don’t know what it was about tonight, but everything just kind of hit me at once. Like one of those moments where you sit there and realise… “Wait… how the hell did I even get here?” I’m 20 now. But if I’m being real, this all started when I was about 16. That was around the time Andrew Tate started popping up everywhere. Now before anyone jumps on me I wasn’t sitting there worshipping the guy or anything. But there was something about the way he spoke about money, business, and how the world actually works that stuck with me. It planted this idea in my head that I just couldn’t shake: “There’s no way I’m living a normal life.” And once that thought was in there… it didn’t leave. So like every other 16-year-old kid with WiFi and too much ambition… I went down the rabbit hole. I’m talking late nights, YouTube deep dives, “how to get rich online” videos, watching guys with Lambos in thumbnails telling me I could make $10k a week from my bedroom. And of course… Dropshipping. I genuinely thought I’d found the cheat code to life. I built a store, spent hours picking products, made the website look “clean” (in my opinion at the time), and then just sat there refreshing the page waiting for sales like an idiot. Nothing. Not one. Not even a fake one to boost my confidence. No worries though I pivoted. Next brilliant idea: Clothing brand. Now I’m designing hoodies at 2am thinking I’m building the next Nike. I even showed my mates like: “Yeah bro this is gonna blow up.” It did not, in fact, blow up. But here’s the weird part… Even though I kept failing, I wasn’t discouraged. If anything, it made it worse. Because now I was obsessed. I couldn’t sit still anymore. Every normal job, every normal life path just felt… wrong. Like I was watching everyone else live a life I didn’t want. So for the next couple of years, I just kept trying things. And I mean everything. Fitness guides Editing for people Writing for artists Random digital products Anything that could possibly make money online If there was a way to make money, I had probably attempted it at 2am at some point. By 18, reality kicked in a bit and I got a full-time factory job. Wake up early, same routine, same place, same people. And I remember thinking: “There’s no way this is it.” Like genuinely… is this what people do for 40 years? That’s when I found day trading. And I went all in. Charts on my phone. Charts on my laptop. Thinking I was some kind of finance genius after one green trade. And for the first time in my life… I made money. Not heaps. But enough to feel it. That feeling when you make money without clocking in somewhere? Different. Dangerous, honestly. Because now I knew: “Okay… there’s a way out.” Then life just completely flipped. Moved across the country, new environment, new job, everything unstable. Trading got pushed aside. At 19, I tried to get back into it. And just got absolutely humbled. Loss after loss. Confidence gone. And I remember sitting there thinking: “Maybe I’m just not cut out for this.” But even then… That voice never left. That same one from when I was 16: “You’re meant to do more.” So I went back to dropshipping. This time I locked in properly. No shortcuts. No distractions. And finally… My first sale. I still remember checking my phone like: “No way… that’s real.” Then another. Then another. And for a moment, everything felt like it was clicking. Like all those late nights were finally paying off. Then just as quickly as it started… It stopped. Completely. No sales. No traffic. No explanation. Just silence. And right when that happened… Life hit again. Ended up in a situation I had to get out of. Moved back home with my partner, pretty much starting from scratch again. At that point I was honestly thinking: “Maybe I’ve been chasing the wrong thing this whole time.” So I switched it up completely. I thought: “What actually makes money right now?” Sales. I applied for a few jobs… And somehow got offered three on the spot. Took the highest paying one (obviously). Door-to-door sales. First day… Knocking on doors thinking I’d hate it. Then boom. First sale. $300. I walked away from that thinking: “There is no way it’s this simple.” For a while, it actually felt like I’d cracked something. Until… Late payments. Missing commissions. Getting messed around. Same story, different industry. And that’s when something finally clicked properly. All my ideas had been online. All of them. But what if I actually did something real? Something in front of people. Something I controlled. So I started a mobile car detailing business. No big plan. No fancy setup. Just me, some basic gear, and knocking on doors again. And this time… It worked. Straight away. People said yes. People paid. Real money. Same day. No waiting for “conversion rates” or hoping ads worked. I started doing jobs after work. Then more jobs. Then more. Then I was at work thinking about my business instead of actually working. Even started trying to sell detailing while I was on shift. Eventually it got to the point where I had more work outside my job than in it. So I made the call. Quit. No backup. Just backed myself. Now? I’m still doing it. I’m not “rich” yet. But I’m making more than I ever did working a normal job. Working less. On my own terms. And the craziest part? It only just hit me tonight. Because next week… I’ve got my first interview to hire someone. Four years ago I was a kid watching “how to get rich” videos in my room. Now I’ve got a real business. Real income. And I’m about to bring someone else into it. If you’re in that phase right now where nothing is working… Trust me — I’ve been there more times than I can count. But you’re probably closer than you think. It took me 4 years of failing, restarting, and figuring things out. And honestly? That’s not even that long. I’ve still got a long way to go. But for the first time… It actually feels real. If you made it this far — appreciate you 🤝 submitted by /u/used_as_liquidity to r/smallbusiness [link] [comments]

How are you guys making money online?
Living paycheck to paycheck, surviving and barely able to live and experience life the way I want it to. I’ve been applying to many jobs, union jobs. Going to career centres for help, I even went trades and still no one is hiring. Even if I wanted to get a second job right now, to pursue other passions…no one is hiring me. I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s been getting super depressing. Is anyone one else going through the same thing right now? Do you guys mind sharing how you’re managing to your situation or share some tips on how I could earn more online? I don’t like playing games for some cash here and there or even surveys. I understand that I can’t just make money online instantly and that I have to build something and be consistent for couple of months. But are there any good paths that will take 3-6 months only time investment? Update: Wow, I did not think I would get so many replies. Thank you all for your help and guidance, I truly appreciate you all ❤️❤️ submitted by /u/Nas219 to r/thesidehustle [link] [comments]

Am I Overreacting, for being upset that my girlfriend secretly used my credit card for months?
I (Mid 20s M) have been dating my girlfriend for just under 2 years. I currently make a very decent amount of money and she knows this. I’m also very on top of my finances and credit and stuff, she maybe not so much. I typically pay my credit card down to 0 regardless of the balance every month, in December i was traveling and doing some budgeting so i just happened to check my statement. I noticed just a handful of charges that I didn’t recognize, some shopping online, random stores and shit, and even some cash advance transactions which I get charged a fee for not a big deal in and of itself but I’d figured my card had just been compromised. Reported the charges, got a new card, and proceeded carefully with my card info going forward. I did not accuse anyone and just chalked it up to bad luck. Fast forward a few months, my friends and I planned this trip to Mexico for about 2 weeks here at the end of January/beginning of February. Before traveling here I told my cc company I would be out of the country so there was no problems with purchasing things here etc. they called me and told me they had flagged some charges and wanted to know if I was back from my vacation. I am not back yet. I started putting 2 and 2 together and came to the realization that it could only be my girlfriend and I’m really crushed right now about this. I confronted her and these are the messages. I feel like I’m being gaslit about this. I really just don’t wanna see her because I’m so angry and don’t want her to be at my house when I get back but I understand she lives there and I can’t just kick her out… Am I overreacting? submitted by /u/bostonmade to r/AmIOverreacting [link] [comments]

AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it
I’m 27F and my boyfriend is 30M, together a little over 2 years. We live together and split bills pretty evenly, no shared accounts. I make a bit more than him (about 15k a year more), but he has a stable job and pays his part on time. The conflict started this week when he told me he wants us to be "fully transparent" financially because we’re talking about getting engaged this year. I thought he meant sitting down, pulling credit reports, talking goals, that kind of thing. Instead he asked for my online banking login so he can "see everything in real time." I laughed because i honestly thought he was joking. He wasn’t. He said couples who plan a future shouldn’t have private money, and that if i’m refusing it means i’m hiding something. I told him i’m not hiding anything, i just don’t want another person able to move money around or look at every grocery purchase i make at 11 pm. He said he wouldn’t touch anything, he "just wants visibility." I offered a compromise: we can make a shared spreadsheet, i can show him statements once a month, we can open a joint account just for rent and bills, and we can both put in our share. He got irritated and said that’s not the same, and that my compromises are basically me keeping a wall up. Then he dropped a line that made my stomach flip: "If you trust me enough to sleep next to me, you should trust me with a password." I said that’s not how trust works, and i pointed out i also don’t have his passwords either. He said i can have them, any time, and he acted like that proves he’s the only reasonable adult in the room. I asked why he suddenly needs this now. He said he doesn’t want to "find out later" that i have debt, or that i’m sending money to someone, or that i’m buying things i shouldn’t. That felt gross, like i was being pre accused. I told him i have no debt besides my student loans, my credit is fine, and i’ve never hidden purchases. He said he believes me but he "wants receipts." I swear those exact words came out of his mouth. I told him no, and that if he keeps pushing i’m going to start wondering what HE is trying to keep track of, because demanding my login isn’t normal. He got quiet and then went cold, like polite angry. He said i’m making a simple thing into a big deal and that i’m acting like he’s some kind of thief. Since then he’s been sulking and making these little comments like "must be nice having a private life" and "guess we’re not at that level." Yesterday he even asked if i’d be okay with him installing a budgeting app that links accounts and then he could see the dashboard. Same answer, no. Now he says i’m sabotaging our future and that i’m being controlling by not letting him in. I feel like i’m losing my mind because i’m not saying we can’t talk money, i’m just saying i’m not handing over access to my actual bank. So, AITAH for refusing and digging my heels in on this. submitted by /u/CopperFieldNote to r/AITH [link] [comments]

How to make money as a teen? (I'm 16)
Hey, I'm 16 and currently on summer break with quite a bit of free time. I've been thinking a lot about how I can start making some money, even if it's a small amount at first. I'm not expecting to get rich or anything, but I’d love to learn some legit ways teens can earn online or offline, something flexible that doesn’t require a full-time commitment. I'm okay with learning new skills if needed. So, if you’ve made money as a teen or know someone who did, I’d really appreciate your suggestions. Whether it’s freelancing, selling stuff online, survey sites, local gigs, or anything else. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/Horror_Visit_7337 to r/teenagers [link] [comments]

I milk money from online casinos and teach others how to do it for free
Hey all, last time I shared this it blew up and got a lot of positive attention. Normally I get skeptics, but this community seems sharp and I think will see the potential here. Theres always some haters and some gatekeepers trying to keep me from sharing this - but I’m not letting them stop me. This stuff works, it’s easy, and I’ve helped a lot of people make money with it. Sweeps farming and sale churning is seriously low hanging fruit and very lucrative. Some people call it “counter-gambling” because we’re strategically using free-play and sale offers to put odds in our favor and minimize or sometimes completely negate risk. This hustle is super low effort, and you can do it completely free without investing a penny - and you can easily pull $500 a month just by logging in and collecting free daily login rewards. I make another 2-3k churning sales. I started a subreddit for this last September, and we’re already near 10k members. Our Discord isn’t even 5 months old and we have grown to 2500+ members! Btw, please don’t confuse this with the letter writing hustle you’ve seen on TikTok, that works too - but don’t pay someone to teach you, we have a channel for that in Discord too! These sites give free money every day just for logging in. I log into about 40 sites for around ~$20/day. That’s $500/month of free-play. Once you’re set up, it takes 5-10 minutes a day to log in and collect. To ramp up my profits, I also wash sales. For example: if a platform offers 100 coins for $75, I’ll use a low-risk game like low volatility Plinko to playthrough and end up with ~$90, profiting the $15. That might not sound like much, but at scale and across multiple sites, it really adds up. These sites are using a loophole to operate legally. They are legally required to offer free entry, hence the daily login rewards. The catch is you just need to play through it once before redeeming. They’re expecting the player to lose, and want to buy more coins - which is where the low risk games/strategies come into play. Of course you could just gamble the free-play too and try to hit it big, but I don’t recommend that. I treat this as a side hustle, not entertainment. Now’s a great time to get in on this. The Sweeps casino industry is growing rapidly, and I’ve already added a bunch of new sites with daily login rewards to the list this year. If you’re still not convinced, check out the subreddit and see what you think r/sweepstakessidehustle and our full list of sites is at https://sweepsgrail.com submitted by /u/2025dogbear to r/thesidehustle [link] [comments]

I teach people how to fleece money out of online casinos - gatekeepers reported me last time and they will again
Hey all, last time I posted about this it caught a ton of attention, including a delightful group of gatekeepers who keep mass reporting me in an effort to suppress this info. It wasn't the first time and I'm sure it'll happen again, but that's not going to stop me from getting this stuff out there- Sweeps casino farming & sale churning is wildly lucrative right now. Some refer to the hustle as "counter-gambling" rightfully so. With that being said, if you’ve ever had prior gambling addiction, turn back now, this isn’t for you. As far as side hustles go, this is low hanging fruit, virtually no risk, doesn't cost anything ever - you can do this fully free-to-play if you want. I have been making 2-3k a month from these sites just collecting their daily login rewards, as well as washing their sale offers. I decided to make a subreddit dedicated to teaching the hustle (for free) on August 31st, we have grown to 4500+ members as of now. We also started a discord less than two months ago, and already have 1300+ members. Btw - before you downvote, this isn't the TikTok letter writing thing! That stuff works too, just don't pay someone to teach you (it's free on YouTube and we have a channel for it in Discord!) Anyways, I collect about $500 a month in free play just from logging into these site once a day. Zero risk, and barely takes 5 minutes a day, just takes some up-tront time to get all the accounts registered. A lot of these casinos give $1/day for logging in, some more, some less. I log into about 40 sites for $20/ day. These casinos are using a "sweepstakes" loophole to stay legal, which requires them to offer free play. You'll need to play through it once before you can redeem, so I use low-risk strategies to keep most of the money. If you're curious, l'd start with a handful of the best sites and see how it goes. The other thing I do to make even more is "washing/ churning" sales. For example, a casino offers 100 coins for $75, I play through, finish at ~$90, and net $15 profit. I do this on multiple sites, multiple times week and make over 3k in my best months. For any skeptics, I made a YouTube channel and made my first video demonstrating one of the wash techniques explaining how I bought discounted coins and used a game with a capped risk (covered roulette) to play through the coins and redeem at a guaranteed profit. These casinos do a ton of sales and promos around the holidays, lots of extra freebies. Now is a great time to start, Imk if y'all have any questions! Edit- here is a link to the list of casinos and the Reddit r/sweepstakesidehustle Update: our sub is over 11k members strong now, and our Discord nearly 3k! Lots of success stories and new platforms to use since this post! submitted by /u/2099_dogbear to r/passive_income [link] [comments]

LPT People telling you how to make money online are always malicious
Edit: not always, but so often it may as well be. If not malicious, it's exploitative. If you had a great way to make money, why would you help create your own competition by telling others? If people try to pull you into something , it's because they'll benefit from it a lot more than you. Like those surveys that ask way too much information for a few dollars, and they resell it x4 , very popular to trick young people for a small amount of in game money like robux Or crypto/trading hype, they'll steal from you somehow in the long run when they rug pull the thing with a planned telegram operation once everyone has invested in the thing (Legit ways to make money online are hard, are not hyped by randos and not easy to find) submitted by /u/biscotte-nutella to r/LifeProTips [link] [comments]
