Horizontal tub vs. Ice tub: Which setup actually prefer?
Trying to decide between a traditional horizontal tub and the ice tub style setup? Here’s the breakdown: The ice tub style: Pros: Small footprint (perfect for apartments/patios), super low maintenance, and you get to sit upright which feels more natural to some. Cons: Can feel a bit cramped if you’re tall. The horizontal tub: Pros: You can fully recline and submerge. Cons: Takes up way more space and usually costs a lot more to buy ice and chill. For anyone on a budget or tight on space, the ice bath tub is a solid entry point into cold plunge. Which do you prefer: the upright sit or the full soak? submitted by /u/Feisty-Essay893 to r/coldplunge [link] [comments]

DO NOT BUY: Polar Monkeys shipped a $5,190 dead ice bath, trapped me in a warranty scam, and demanded I pay thousands to ship their trash back.
I’m out over $7,500 and nearly three years of my life dealing with the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. If you’re thinking about buying from Polar Monkeys - especially internationally - read this first. The Financial Sinkhole: The Cost: $2,790 for the tub + $2,400 for shipping to Europe. The Defect: The chiller short-circuited instantly out of the box and killed our cables. The Repair Bill: I spent €2,400 out-of-pocket on professional gym builders, electricians, and AC technicians trying to fix it because their support dragged their feet. Independent experts confirmed the cooling unit was completely dead on arrival. How They Trap You: The Warranty Scam: Their support team explicitly asked my technician to identify the hardware issue. To do this, he removed 4 screws to film the dead motherboard for them. Polar Monkeys then turned around and threatened that opening the unit "may void the warranty." The Bait-and-Switch: They eventually offered a replacement chiller, but suddenly claimed a "new policy" meant they no longer ship internationally. They told me they'd ship it to the US, and I’d have to pay to freight it across the Atlantic myself. The Final Insult: After a year of stalling, they finally offered a refund (minus a 15% restocking fee) - but only if I pay thousands of dollars out-of-pocket to ship their massive, broken brick back to the US. The Bottom Line: I am not spending another dime to ship their unfixable garbage back across the ocean just to play their games. I am pushing for a full refund for a product that literally never worked once. I'm posting this so nobody else falls into the same trap. Expect zero accountability and a massive financial black hole if their hardware fails on you. Edit: Multiple people are saying I plugged in a 110v into a 220v outlet. We happen to have a dedicated 110v outlet from an old workshop that was in the house we rented. An electrician verified it beforehand, and Polar Monkeys confirmed in writing it was the exact voltage required. submitted by /u/SamzlawlYT to r/coldplunge [link] [comments]

Bathroom reno... before and after!
My original to the home, gorgeous (and riddled with multiple comorbidities) peach and black bathroom had a rotten subfloor, galvanized pipes that burst and cracked surround tile with mold etc. you name it. there was no salvaging after our floor started sagging and dropping inches under our radiator (we did manage to salvage for 2.5 years). RIP original kohler fixtures that scalded the you know what out of me but were so gorgeous. We finally finished our new black and white bathroom after a month of bathing in a plastic tub in the kitchen. I designed and picked everything myself and tried to be as period appropriate as possible/where possible, keeping original elements where I could. I did kohler chrome fixtures again and kept the overall layout/tile style close to how it was originally, and kept the original glass light. Disregard the temporary curtain rod and inside out curtain - we used the old one because we were desperate to shower lol. Im still taking time to figure out toilet paper holder and towel rack/what else I am missing functionally... and was kind of deciding between glass pane vs. shower curtain? I'm pretty proud of the end result either way and relieved we have our shower back... been a long month. I searched on here throughout the process, looking at all of your black and white bathrooms as I was picking the tile and design. Took the tile guy 8 days. I really love the community here since we bought our old girl in 2023 and multiple times thought "what will r/centuryhomes think of this?" Lmao Now onto obsessing over ice dams and the icicles that are forming on the backside of my gutters closest to the brick exterior?? My old brick colonial never lets up. Earth is a ice bath/cold shower for the Soul
So why didn't we all just stay in the warmth of heaven and the realms of Unity? Sure, we wanted to come help the Earth because we heard her call a long time ago. We also like contrast therapy. Soul contrast therapy. We know deep down we are Infinite and Indestructible at our loving core. An Earthly life is a cold shower encroaching on an ice shower at times, where we scream out for warmth and connection amidst the frigid feelings and illusions. The warmth is coming from within us more and more as we remember that we are each eternal beings on a voyage through the universe's underworld. Eventually, we will be back with our Soul families in the hot tub of life, talking about our borderline insane experience here. Peace submitted by /u/Whysosirius5 to r/Experiencers [link] [comments]

any idea what this yellow slimy stuff is in my ice bath?
this stuff comes out of my water inlet hose every time I fill it back up after cleaning the tub. It's got to be something from within the chiller (myo-master), potentially along the pipe walls or something... I've tried flushing the filter out in the past with fresh water and an open ended outlet pipe to see if it will get it all out, but seems to come back the following week when I clean the tub. I use it 4-5 times per week after a sauna, don't use any chemicals in it, and empty and clean by hand once a week. Thinking I need one of those ozone stones, but anyone got any suggestions for what it could be? originally thought it was dead skin before I first sieved it out haha submitted by /u/HarryEFC95 to r/BecomingTheIceman [link] [comments]

AITA for refusing to let my neighbor use my vintage bathtub for his “therapy” sessions?
I am NOT OOP, OOP is u/blablaboabab Originally posted to r/AITAH AITA for refusing to let my neighbor use my vintage bathtub for his “therapy” sessions? Trigger Warnings: creepy behavior, possible stalking, harassment Mood Spoilers: scary and frustrating Original Post: March 29, 2025 I (28F) live in an old Victorian house I inherited from my grandfather. One of the features of the house is the original clawfoot bathtub from the 1920s in the upstairs bathroom. I was originally going to look at having it removed but kept putting it off and eventually fell in love with it so I kept it. Enter my next-door neighbor Dennis (~50M). Dennis is…eccentric. He’s into all these weird health trends, like grounding his feet in buckets of dirt for “electrical balance”. Lately, he's gotten into hydrotherapy, which apparently requires him to soak in cold water for extended periods to “reset his nervous system”. Two weeks ago, Dennis came over and, completely out of the blue, asked if he could use my bathtub for his hydrotherapy sessions. I thought he was joking, but no—he earnestly explained that my tub was “the perfect energy conduit” because it was “pre-industrial revolution and untainted by modern manufacturing proceses.” (???) I told him no, obviously. I don’t want a rando wrinkly old dude filling it with ice water and doing whatever nonsense he’s into. Dennis did not take this well. He said I was being “selfish with community resources” and that because I inherited the house rather than buying it, I had a “duty to share” since I “didn’t work for it.” He started bringing it up EVERY time he saw me—passive-aggressively saying things like, “Must be nice to hoard that all to yourself.” Then, somehow, this got out to the neighborhood Facebook group (who LOVES drama), and now half the street thinks I’m the villain for “gatekeeping” my own bathtub. The cherry on top is Dennis conveniently claims that his shower stopped working too so he he doesn’t even have a place to clean himself (not like this was a favorite pastime of his to begin with, respectfully). I was trying to just avoid Dennis as much as I could and ignore the few comments from my neighbors until I ran into one of my neighbors while I was going for a walk Saturday evening. I don’t really know her but we chatted briefly and somehow the issue came up. I was expecting some sympathy for the absurdity of this all but this woman proceeds to TEAR INTO ME. Like literal verbal assault by the end of it asking me why I was being so stupid and selfish—that I have multiple bathrooms in the house and couldn’t even spare it to help this old man’s health. This morning I found a LITERAL GIFTWRAPPED BAR OF SOAP in my mailbox. There was no note or anything but I assume this was her insanely petty passive aggressive way of telling me to shove it. I DO NOT want this man soaking in my tub. I DO NOT care about his “nervous system reset.” But now I feel like I’m losing my mind because everyone around me is acting like I’m some kind of selfish monster. I get that some of the people in the neighborhood aren’t keen on me living here but I live by myself and work and go to school all day and I’m genuinely starting to worry that I’m gonna come home some day to find Dennis reclining in my tub. AITAH? Also, for anyone wondering how Dennis knew about the tub, he’s lived here for forever and helped my grandad do repairs back in the day so he’s seen the house. That said, he hasn’t been in it (the house, not the bathtub) to my knowledge in at least 15 years. AITAH has no consensus bot, OOP was NTA Top Comments Commenter 1: Obviously NTA. It’s not a community resource, it’s your home. Commenter 2: NTA. Tell your neighbors that you will not allow a mentally ill man into your house to get naked in your bathtub. Your final answer is Hell no, and the next step will be a restraining order. Make sure they make the connection that there’s a mentally ill man demanding to get NAKED in the house of a young woman who lives alone, and do strange things in your favorite bathtub. Make sure they understand how aggressively weird this makes THEM look. When he posts on FB, rely on FB, so it’s on record, “I have told you no, repeatedly, that I will not allow you into my home to get naked. You are not entitled to get inside my home and take your clothes off. No means no. Stop harassing me. Stop telling my neighbors to pressure me to let you in my house. I do not want a strange man in my home.” Set up cameras, because his next escalation will be breaking in. Commenter 3: To begin with, you do not need a single man, let alone a creepy single man, in your house. You are a single woman who lives alone. From what you've said, he's the type who could "go off" at any minute. He covets your tub? What's to keep him from deciding it belongs to him? As to your neighbor, suggest she let him use her bathtub if she's so concerned about his "health." Even if his shower is broken, he has options. He could have a plumber come fix it, or he could take a sponge bath in his sink. Not as nice as a shower but it will get you clean. And I would file a complaint with the police, to have on record just in case his behavior gets worse. Call in a mental wellness check on him, and have them suggest he leave you alone. Oh by the way -- that tub is NOT "pre-industrial revolution." There were two in America -- 1810 - 1860 and 1870 - 1920. It is highly unlikely your tub pre-dates that. Update: March 30, 2025 (next day) UPDATE: Thank you all for the support—I was overwhelmed with over 1000 Reddit notifications this morning and literally cried from relief scrolling through all of your comments before I got out of bed. Some helpful details: To clarify the neighborhood situation, it’s a very small, older community that is fairly isolated from the surrounding area. Everyone has all lived here forever and everyone is very toxic and set in their ways. They are very politically hostile to outsiders and though I am not a strong politics person, it became very clear when I moved in that I was not “one of them”. This combined with the jealousy of my inheriting the house at a relatively young age has painted me as an outsider in their minds. This is the first actual issue I’ve had, but there have been mild microagressions towards me in the past (nothing serious, just little things to irk me that I have largely ignored). To the people saying I use em-dashes too much—deal with it lol. (I get a lot of flack for this from friends. I even use them when texting :)) Also, comments about the age of the tub sound accurate—I’m not a history buff but this makes sense lol. And to anyone who was offended by me calling Dennis old, I’m sorry. He’s probably late fifties and while that is not super old, it is old enough compared to me to make me feel weird about inviting him into my home as practically a stranger. To anyone asking why I didn’t take action earlier, I work 20+ hours per week and am a non-traditional full-time student commuting over an hour to class several days a week so I have not had the time or energy to look into a lot of the things you suggested. As for moving forward: I don’t have the mental and physical capacity to care for a dog in my life right now (especially a big one) and I don’t feel comfortable inviting a housemate into my home to live with me. That said, the cameras seem like a really great idea that I really should have considered when I moved in—I just didn’t see the need before. I don’t have loads of money to spend on a full security system but will be at least purchasing a camera for my front door. I am worried about confronting Dennis or escalating things in the FB group because I do not want things to get worse or encourage someone to do something stupid. For the time being, I will be actively avoiding him and my neighbors and seeing if anything else happens. I haven't dealt with the police in my town but have heard that they are not super helpful, so I hesitate to bring this to their attention. (I feel like telling them that someone asked to use my bathtub and someone else gave me a bar of soap is not going to be grounds for them to take me seriously.) Something that has really worried me is the comments on the original post about Dennis’ possible predatory behavior. While it was clear that he has been gently harassing me about it, I never even considered the fact that being naked in my home or sharing the intimacy of my bathtub may be some sort of weird fetish or kink. This may be overreacting, but now that I think about it, all the signs check out (the constant pressure, and like seriously, why wouldn’t he just buy his own tub??). I feel naive and a major ick and am genuinely scared about what he might do if he actually has ill intentions. Any further input is welcome (I am still reading through all your lovely comments on the original post) and I will try to update you all if this escalates further. Top Comments Commenter 1: Personally, I would go on the FB group and ask if it's considered normal in this community for older men to pressure young women to allow the men into their homes alone and undress. Ask how many of them are already allowing this man to use their homes or their granddaughters' homes as he wishes. Commenter 2: Post on the FB group that Dennis's harassment of you is reaching extremely unsafe levels and that you do not want to involve the police in his inappropriate demands to be naked in your home. Explicitly say that his behaviour is predatory and you are horrified at the neighbourhood siding with what appears to be sexual harassment. Until you make a stand, they will continue to attack you. And the next time Dennis approaches you, loudly state, 'Get away from me! You will never be naked in my home and I will call the police if you keep harassing me!' Be loud. So many predators get away with this because their victims stay quiet. Scream it from the rooftops. Whether his intent is sexual or not does not matter. It's wildly inappropriate. Commenter 3: You’re not overreacting at all. This is weird, and your gut feeling is spot on. The fact that he keeps pushing and won’t just get his own tub is a huge red flag. Cameras are a smart move, and honestly, avoiding him sounds like the best call. Trust yourself, and don’t feel bad for setting boundaries. Double wedding disaster- friends ruined their wedding but not ours!
I (38M) have been married to Mike (35M) for three years, together for twelve years. We are very quiet, nerdy, nature-loving guys, not into flashy displays or drama at all. It was the tail end of the pandemic, and since the borders were partially open, we decided to road trip to Gibraltar and elope. The pandemic was a great excuse not to invite anyone to our wedding and just do what we wanted. When we told our lesbian friends Di (45F) and Anne (60F) what we were doing, they decided on the spot that we were going to have a double wedding and immediately started taking over, suggesting a bunch of trashy, expensive things we didn't want. This is the story of how they attempted to ruin our wedding and only ruined theirs. We initially decided that we'd get a rental car together and split it four ways, with Mike and Di splitting the driving. A month before the wedding, Di and Anne decided it'd be cheaper to take the train—well, six trains actually—across three countries. I immediately said no, and it turned out Di didn't even have her driver's license and had been driving illegally for years! Mike offered to do all the driving if they split the rental car with us. They declined because it was too expensive and took the train instead. Obviously, it went terribly for them. Trains were canceled, tickets were lost, and they missed out on an entire night in Gibraltar because they were stuck at a random train station in the Spanish countryside. Mike and I had a wonderful road trip and spent a magical night in an Airbnb in Cartagena on the way. Their train tickets cost more than half of the rental car. We initially agreed to get a really fancy Airbnb in Gibraltar with a hot tub and all that stuff. Split four ways, we could get something really nice. Well, Anne decided she wanted a "real hotel" and pulled out of the Airbnb plan. I found a gorgeous little one-bedroom place for us, with a hot tub and a view of the sea. Di and Anne "forgot" to book a real hotel and ended up in a freaking awful place by the port, like a place for merchant sailors to crash while they're in port. It was on a busy roundabout opposite Burger King. There was no bath, no balcony, and it was basic AF. It was more expensive than our lovely place. They got no sleep because of the drunk sailors and traffic noise. They didn't even get any towels provided. The night before the wedding, we met for dinner. They'd barely been in Gibraltar for two hours, whereas we'd been relaxing since the day before. At dinner, things were tense, but Di was really trying. At some point, she signaled to the restaurant host, and the lady came over with a super fancy VIP bucket with champagne on ice. She popped the cork and gave it to Di, who handed it to Anne, saying, "just like the one I gave you in New York, baby." It was clearly supposed to be a romantic moment. Anne refused the cork, and we all smiled nervously to try and smooth things over. The host poured two glasses of the champagne and gave the glasses to Di and Anne. Anne took a sip and immediately spat it out, announcing loudly, "it's corked!" We all tried the champagne and told her it was delicious (Mike and I don't really drink, but we know what champagne tastes like). Anne insisted the champagne was corked and loudly announced they wouldn't be paying for it. The host was pissed, and I understood why when she told us it was a £750 bottle. She threatened to call the police, so Di sheepishly paid for it. Anne sulked the rest of the night. I was so embarrassed, and our whole evening was spoiled. When we got back to our Airbnb to take a bubble bath and eat Jaffa cakes, I told Mike there was no way I was going to allow them to ruin another minute of our trip, but if they wanted to ruin theirs, that wasn't my problem. The actual weddings went off okay, apart from the fact they were still drunk from the night before. The registry office was nice, and I married the man of my dreams. Afterwards, we bought them brunch (to soak up the booze) and faithfully walked them around the park, taking lovely photos of them. Di had her finger over the lens of every picture she took of us. When we were done, they suggested we all go to the pub and get wasted, as if. We dropped them off at the pub and went our separate ways. I was honest and just told them, "I want to be alone with my husband." They couldn't really argue with that. The wedding dinner. Mike, Di, and I all had fairly casual preferences for a restaurant for the wedding dinner, but Anne insisted on a fine dining fish restaurant that didn't even serve dessert. I outright refused (I don't eat fish at all), and Anne was insisting on the fish restaurant, so we decided not to meet up. Anne also tried to convince us to chip in £200 for a custom wedding cake to get delivered to the restaurant, but we said hell no. Mike and I went to the best steakhouse in Gibraltar; I had a 1.2-kilo steak and an amazing cheesecake for dessert. We had a lovely time and the wait staff went out if their way to spoil us. Around 8 pm, they messaged us, "whr r u?" and we ignored the message. As it turned out, Anne forgot to make reservations, and the fish restaurant was fully booked, but they couldn't leave and go somewhere else, because they had to wait for the cake to be delivered. They ended up taking the cake back to their shitty hotel and eating it with their credit cards because they didn't even have cutlery and plates in their room. They got hammered that night on supermarket vodka. Mike and I had the perfect evening. We got a taxi home, smoked weed on our balcony, watched the stars, and kissed for hours. The next day, Mike and I set out for a day of hiking in the UNESCO World Heritage Site national park. It was the best day ever! Mike got robbed and bitten by a monkey, which was fucking hilarious. We ate a full English breakfast in the sky restaurant and explored Saint Michael's Cave. Unforgettable memories were made Di and Anne fought, decided it was Gibraltar's fault, and spontaneously decided to leave. They booked a beach resort up the coast somewhere in Spain and headed on foot to the train station. The trains were all messed up, they got stranded somewhere in Spain with all their luggage, and it took them 14 hours to get to the resort. They arrived at 11 pm and were checking out the next morning! Mike and I spent a few more nights enjoying our honeymoon and then road tripped home. We stayed in the same little place in Cartagena on the way back, and the hosts threw us a little surprise party! It was magical. Di and Anne got stranded again on the way home, lost half their luggage, and caught COVID. I was hit by a sudden bout of exhaustion during my date, and the next thing I know, I woke up in a bath tub full of ice.
When I got to the hospital they took my x-rays to see what I was missing, only to discover that they had put something inside of me. submitted by /u/Paper_Shotgun to r/TwoSentenceHorror [link] [comments]

AITA for telling my wife(40F) to grow up and staying Christmas with our daughters at my ''abusive'' parents without her?
Wife (40F) and I(42M), together for 23 years married for 17, we have 4 daughters together (16F,15F,13F,11F). Our relationship is good, we don't fight and we don't have any major issues. When we had our oldest, we decided that she would stay at home with her and our future kids. It worked well until last year, as our daughters got older, they didn't need that much attention from her, it caused some problems, she was used to being a ''full-time mom'', but our daughters are quite independent for their ages, so she got a lot of free time in her hands and didn't know what to do, we discussed things and I told her that this would be a good time to her finish her master's degree but she wasn't very keen on that, so she joined the gym and a few book clubs. Then our oldest introduced her to Tik Tok, and she got addicted to that, she started posting stuff about our private life, but hey, she wasn't bored and she was happy so I went along, I even participated in a few, then she started doing pranks on me, it was particularly ''funny'' because I get scared very easily, the pranks started to get more elaborate, I told her to stop and we had a lot of heated arguments about this. In March, I was taking a bath, she got into the bathroom, and dumped a bucket of ice on me (while recording the whole thing), I freaked out, got up very fast, slipped, and hit my head pretty hard on the tub, I am a big guy (6'4 248 lbs) so it was pretty bad. I woke up in a hospital two days later, apparently, I got a hematoma from the accident and had to get brain surgery. I had to stay in the hospital for almost two weeks, I'm still doing physiotherapy sessions and don't have total control of my left arm. After the accident, the previously good relationship that my wife had with my family (my mom has 3 sons, I am the oldest and we started dating very early, so my wife was the daughter that my mom never had), took a pretty big hit, they got into a few fights with her and I had to step in and ask everyone to calm down a bit. On to the issue, my wife and I alternate holidays between her family and mine, one year we go to Christmas with her family the next one we stay with my parents. This year we are supposed to stay with my parents but she doesn't want that, my family still makes some snarky comments and my brothers are pretty passive-aggressive with her, she doesn't want to go to my parents this year because of that, I told her that I am going with or without her, she told me that I can't take our daughters without her, we got into a fight and i told her that i am going, she told me that she won't drive me there (i can't drive since the accident), i called my brother and he is ok with driving us there, our daughters are very excited to see my parents, we got into a fight and she is currently not speaking with me, her sisters think I am a jerk, and that I am being too harsh on her because the ''lockdown was hard on her''. I told a coworker about this and he is on the fence. So Reddit AITA here? submitted by /u/quietwinterrain to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

I ordered a peach ice tea. Saw this thing in waiter's hands and wondered wow what's that, until he brings this right in front of me and goes, "here's your ice tea" - in a bath tub.

[Serious] Just a reminder to be careful when telling jokes that may be offensive.
A few days ago I was talking to some friends, and friends of those friends, at a bar. I decided to break the ice with the new friends with a few jokes, most of which went down very well...until I decided to tell a few more offensive ones...and picked the worst possible one to start with. Here's the joke I told: "What do you do if you see an epileptic having a fit in the bath? Throw your washing (laundry if you're American) in." One of the new friends instantly became enraged and swung for me. When I asked him what the hell his problem was he replied that his younger brother was epileptic and died in the bath many years ago. Obviously I felt mortified as I didn't know about it, and said "I'm so sorry to hear that. Did he drown?" "No," replied the guy. "He choked on a sock." submitted by /u/TWI2T3D to r/Jokes [link] [comments]

Ice bath
When I was a kid, we lived in a small trailer with no walls. The living room was just the frames of the walls. There was supposed to be a bathroom in the "master" bedroom, but the floor was completely rotted through. It was just a hole with a moldy toilet. My room had a single window above my bed. Every time it rained, or snowed, water dripped down and soaked my entire bed. The other bathroom was next to my room. It had nothing covering the tub, no shiny plastic. It was just a basin. The wall beside it shed fake wood splinters into the water every time the water turned on. I was 7 and got the worst fever I'd ever gotten in my life. I'd always been a sick kid- turns out I was allergic to mold and the trailer was covered in it. But this was something else. Even my nStepmonster could tell I wasn't faking. Now that I'm older, I remember a little of what happened. The rest my aunt filled in. Apparently, when a small, sick 7 year old is running a 105F fever (40.5 Celsius), you don't take her to the doctor. That would cost money. Instead, you soak two huge towels to dripping, and then throw them in the freezer. Then you fill the bathtub basin with the coldest water possible. It's well water in the winter. It's pretty cold. Then you put ice in the water for good measure. Then you take the feverish child, strip her naked, and put her in the tub. The child will scream that the water burns, but it's cold, so obviously she's lying. Next, you take the frozen solid towels out of the freezer, shake them until they're still frozen but laying straight, and put one on the front of the child and one on the back. Hold her still so she can't get out of the tub. She'll stop crying eventually. In fact, she'll go quiet. Kind of dazed. Then, if you're a proper N, you've done your job. Apparently, my aunt said, she came by to see how I was doing, and took me straight to my grandma's. Grandma was a nurse and she hauled me into the doctor's office she worked at. I don't remember this, but they had to put one of those inflatable warming blankets over me, and get fluids in me ASAP. I'd gone into shock from being so hot and then so cold suddenly. I also had a burn on my back from the ice towel. Now, at 25, I'm sick again. Mild fever. I've got a crappy immune system from radiation treatments for cancer, so I'll take getting sick once a week over cancer. But I'm remembering what it was like being sick as a child. I still have a patch of skin on my back that doesn't really feel much. I feel pressure when my wife scratches my back, but not the prick of her nails when she moves her fingers. I've got a tattoo there, and I barely felt it when I got it. I haven't told her this story yet. She knows a lot of the others, but she's sleeping now, and I had to get this out to someone. Thanks for listening. EDIT: so my doctor friend confirmed that nStepmonster did this very dangerously and completely incorrectly. A cool bath would have helped my high fever, however, the frozen towels and holding me down was NOT WHAT TO DO, because it could have, and did, send me into shock. A cool bath, a cool cloth on the forehead, the back of the neck, and a wrapped ice pack on the back of the knees and inside of the elbows should have more than sufficed until a doctor was reached. Also, ibuprofen. submitted by /u/heyomeatballs to r/raisedbynarcissists [link] [comments]
