thank you @dobiemom a dump cake recipe and I never thought of chocolate cake, oh my! I might go back to the store again...hmmmmm.   I didnt get to the store, in fact, i paid bills, i made the tater salad, and fixed the cucumbers, and marinated the chicken, oh well, there's always tomorrow.   I like white cake dump cake with blueberries, pecans  and vanilla ice cream ..............

So far today I wen't on a decent walk before it got hot out. Then I wen't home and ate some lunch and got some hash and gummies delivered to my apartment. Then I took a quick nap and just now I finished some dishes. In a little while I’ll probably go for another walk and grab something for dinner and maybe some ice cream. Not the worst Sunday so far.

Trof was an extremely bad influence on me with encouraging putting peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds and pouring that on top of ice cream. I don't do this terribly delicious habit anymore thank goodness.

Nobody can blame you for being pissed off sometimes. But, I think being aware of how it affects others around you is an impressive life achievement. I didn't read anything mean from your posts. If you are angry, you are not alone here. Keep up the good healing work, but eat more ice cream. 😂

How true ito? I saw an article sa ibang bansa that says ice cream with vegetable oils as a fat source should be called “frozen desserts” instead. May strict regulations sa ibang bansa like Canada na dapat hindi ice cream ang label kapag may oil. Not sure dito sa PH. Napa-search tuloy ako sa ice cream brands na available sa PH stores (Selecta, Magnolia, Nestle, etc.) All of them use palm or coconut oil. Two of the ice creams available sa PH that use dairy, not oil as the main fat source are Carmen’s Best and Magnolia Gold Label. Magkaiba sila mula texture, lasa, at sa kung paano mag-melt. May health risks ang “ice cream”, pero yun ang mas afford ng karamihan saatin and mas mahaba ang shelf life. I just wonder how many of these products sa grocery ang hindi totoo? That exercise prompted this idea: Since we're still in year-end list season, why not share our favorites and least favorites — either a simple ranked list or tiers. I did a hybrid, so choose whatever you like. I knew Graeter's would be my No. 1 and Breyer's dead last but I did a lot of shuffling in between (I also imagined Tillamook right in the middle and that's about where it ended up, 17 of 35). I am not only curious what people pick best and worst, but how one brand might fare relative to another: Does someone who loves mostly premium pints also have a soft spot (pun intended) for Blue Bunny? At the very least, I am hoping to find a few more brands to add to my must-try list. My criteria: Brands that I have tried in at least the past five years, and for all of these I have tasted at least three flavors at some point in my life (except Alec’s: I owe you one more pint before writing you off.) I'm in the Northwest, so everything is available in stores here unless it has an asterisk (those are ones I ordered online). Feel free to use any criteria you like — maybe it's just the ones you buy regularly, maybe it's everything you can remember trying (RIP to Starbucks ice cream). If you want to include a favorite or least favorite flavor with each brand, that's also fun (I might do so later in the comments). Thanks for playing and happy new year! S TIER These brands are the top of the ice cream mountain for me, with exquisite texture and flavors that almost never disappoint — and the few times they do it’s a personal taste issue, rather than quality concerns. Graeter’s* Haagen-Dazs A TIER These are the premium pints that I get excited to see what they’re coming out with next, the ones I hope to see posted in this sub. Because most of these take more risks, they have a few more misses than the S or B tiers, but the hits make up for it. (Ben & Jerry’s and Talenti have been a bit boring for me as of late, but they hang on barely in the top 10 for years of good service — at one point each was my go-to brand — and the legacy of Cherry Garcia and Sea Salt Caramel.) Clementine’s* Caffe Panna* McConnell’s Jeni’s Van Leeuwen Straus Ben & Jerry’s Talenti Bona Bona* Dolcezza Gelato (Note: I tried this brand a few years back at Whole Foods, but it's now only available on Goldbelly) B TIER These are comforting brands, which either evoke nostalgia or offer more traditional and even vintage flavors. If I want mint-n-chip, butter pecan, strawberry cheesecake or something like that, here’s where I go. Even if I rank them below the more premium options in A tier, sometimes I prefer these classics, even if they add a bit too much air or one gum too many. Baskin Robbins Blue Bell* Umpqua Thrifty Tillamook Bassett’s* Leopold’s* C TIER This tier is for store brands, which are generally middle of the road, though there's some variation between fancier store and discounter. I don’t usually seek them out; they're more often an impulse buy because they are such a great deal. But they tend to be quite dependable and rarely let you down. New Seasons Market (from Lopez Island Creamery) 365 (Whole Foods) Private Selection (Kroger) Signature Select (Safeway+Albertsons) Trader Joe’s BetterGoods (Walmart) Winco D TIER D is for disappointment. These premium pints seem primed for A tier status, but the flavors and/or textures just don’t hit for me. But I know others do think highly of them, so you can also call it the YMMV tier. Salt & Straw Bonta Gelato Crank & Boom* Crooked Spoon Alec’s F TIER F is for frozen dairy dessert. A few years back, Dreyer’s would be up in the B tier, but sadly it’s joined the race for the bottom. I’m honestly so confused by this. I’ve read so many stories from women with gestational diabetes that eating ice cream as their bedtime snack helps their fasting numbers. Is this true? Could it be that there is a spike and then a crash and that’s why it’s “better”? I honestly would love to eat some ice cream, but I’m so afraid to try this.
