Anyone find the Ford Pass app seems to struggle scrolling up/down? v6.13.0 iPhone 13 Just seems to be the main page, the rest of the pages are fine. Scrolling is not smooth at all.

I purchased my iphone 13 256gb variant like 5 years ago and i was really happy with the phone. Infact i have also heard that iphone 13 has the best battery life then any other iphones. My battery was at 75% and for once i thought lets get iphone 17 by exchanging this iphone 13. I went to store and asked for the price of my old iphone 13 and i was not happy with the price i got..! So i asked myself a question..! Do i really need an iphone 17? Whats new in it? New AI? New camera? New battery? Rest everything remains same as iphone 13 is also an iphone..! So i changed my decision and thought what if i replace my battery? When i came to know about the cost of replacing..i was shocked..! So i went to a local trusted shop and got my iphone battery replaced at a very reasonable rate. Attached are the screenshots..! I feel now my iphone can easily live another 5 years..! Really happy on not getting a new iphone. What do you guys think? I made the right decision? I am sure many of you must be in a similar situation? Many will say replacing battery through local shop is not a good idea and all..but look at the screenshots..! in terms of speed and processing capabilities 4.1 is significantly better than 4.0, decreasing the amount of stutter when using apps. the camera app however is completely unusable, just having the camera on causes major overheating, to the point where i am not using a case anymore. it is becoming warmer outisde as well which is making the situation worse, just being on a call with the phone out is making it unusable after the call, often crashing and switching off by itself because of the intense heat. for context the battery health is at 94 percent, the storage has 40 gb free from the 128 total, and without frequently clearing the ram just opening the camera outside is forcing it to overheat and become unusable. if you have not upgraded yet please do not do so if you have an iphone 13 with base storage. my colleague with a 13 mini has it worse. submitted by /u/adithyalego to r/iPhone13 [link] [comments]

Seeing a lot of posts here and in general lately, of people panicking about whether they should upgrade and honestly I think it’s getting a bit exaggerated. The iPhone 13 is perfectly fine. It runs everything smoothly, games at 60fps, apps, camera, daily use, all of it still holds up really well. There is no urgent reason to upgrade unless you personally want to. The only real threat to this phone is iOS 26 and beyond. If you just stay on the last iOS version it supports and stop updating, this phone will run great well into the 2030s. The hardware itself is not the problem, Apple just artificially makes older devices feel slow through software over time. You do not need to “urgently” go buy an iPhone 15 or 16. Nobody is coming to take your 13. It’s not outdated, it’s not struggling, it’s not embarrassing to use. Apple enthusiasts and tech YouTubers have a financial incentive to make you feel like your phone is obsolete every two years and a lot of people here seem to have bought into that. If you want to upgrade because you want to, totally valid. But if you’re here asking whether you NEED to because you’re worried your 13 is on its last legs, the answer is no. Relax, you’re fine.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Even like, XR users are still out here chilling and confidently talking about running their phones till 2028. The XR came out in 2018. In a sentence, it's an iOS-focused Reddit app (not crossplatform, iOS only) that's an alternative to the official app with the goal of being speedy, comfortable to use, great media browsing, and just the best iOS has to offer in general. I loved Alien Blue, and wanted to build something as powerful and awesome as it, but with the goal of feeling even more like an iOS-first experience. Here's a link I started working on Apollo right after I finished working at Apple in the summer of 2015, worked on it through 2017 when it finally got released, and it's been my full time job since. I love that I can build such a fun and exciting app every day, and no bullshit, it's only because of the support of the Reddit Apple community that I've been able to. There's no ads, no investors, only optional support from you guys to sustain the app. It's built solely with the goal of making Redditors happy and I do my absolute best to be active in the community and base the app around its feedback. So as a thank you, and to celebrate many sleepless nights working on the iOS 13 update that's now live, I wanted to do a lil giveaway open to anyone in the community. I'm not Unbox Therapy so it's not a pick up truck full of iPhones, but I thought giving away an iPhone 11 Pro (or Pro Max) could be a fun way to say thanks (or a regular iPhone 11 if that's what you want). Like I said Apollo's really focused on being the best iOS has to offer and really feeling at home on the platform. iOS 13 brought a bunch of really cool stuff, so I wanted to support as much of it as I could on day 1. So Apollo has support the (finally) system dark mode, the new haptic touch context menus, super fast launch times, there's Siri Shortcuts support so you can say "normie garbage" and have it open r/dankmemes or just build cool systems in the Shortcuts app in general. There's also multi-window support on iPad which is super cool. Hell, iOS 13 even supports PS4 and Xbox One controllers now so I added support for those. I really wanted to build something that didn't feel like a cross-platform, half Android /Material Design mixture, but instead feels like it was built from the ground up for iOS. Should I give Apollo a try? I don't mind the official app tbh The official app's really cool, built by some super smart people, I even got to meet some of the engineers at WWDC this year. Utmost respect. It's kinda like a car though, you might use your car, it might get you from point A to point B fine, it's a solid enough car, why switch? Well, you might sit in a friend's car, find it just a bit more comfortable, maybe a bit speedier, sportier, appreciate some of the design choices better, and overall just find it a more enjoyable experience. Apollo Car has a really awesome media viewer, fast swipe gestures, speed, GIF scrubbing, a subreddit Jump Bar, really great comments view, and much more that you really have to see first hand.
