RE:Can iPhone cable charge MacBook Pro with MacBook's plug?
I dropped my Macbook Pro (14-inch, 2021) charger recently and the usb-c connector on the cord broke. The part of the charger that goes in the wall is undamaged. I was wondering if i could use the cord from my iPhone (15 pro) to charge my Macbook (using iPhone cord but Macbook Pro's plug) until the replacement arrives since it's going to be a while where I live.

iPhone SE charging port loose(?). Not dirty, but struggling to charge. New cord, new wall adapter
I don’t know the exact year. Probably 2022. I’ve been having some issues with charging recently but figured it was my charger. Bought new chargers and same issue. My old iPhone charges fine, so not the cord. I have to hold my cord at an angle (up) to get it to charge at all. I’ve cleaned the port. Unless there’s some dirt packed between the contacts it’s not dirty. The port looks fine, nothing obviously wrong. I say it’s loose because the only way it charges is to hold it but the chargers fit normal, just have to be held. I’ve turned the phone off and back on twice. Nothing changed. What’s going on? Can I fix it? Or replace the port? submitted by /u/equinesandcanines to r/applehelp [link] [comments]

Can someone explain why charger isn’t working for iPhone but will for iPad?
I got a (321) usb c to lighting cable cord for my iPhone 14 Pro from ANKER it will not work on my phone but will on my really old iPad mini. For context I have a “regular” lighting cable cord and it works on both my phone and iPad so not sure what the issue is here. submitted by /u/AfraidKaleidoscope30 to r/UsbCHardware [link] [comments]

MacBook charger burrrrrning hot on extension cord
Sorry if this is the wrong flair lol I wasn’t sure what to put it as, but I have my MacBook charger and iPhone charger connected on opposite sides of this extension cord I have plugged into my wall, I know sometimes chargers can get hot but when I reached for my phone charger I felt the cube of the MacBook one and it was literally so hot that you could burn yourself. I think if I left it like that it could’ve caused a fire in the right circumstances.. does anyone know why this happens or did happen?? I unplugged it and it left a little mark on the extension cord from the heat (like a sweat mark).. but yeah not even the extension cord is hot it’s just the cube . iPhone 14 Pro port charging issue. Can’t wrap my mind around after endless attempts. How do I fix it (since I don’t own a wireless charger)?
Hey guys. So when doing port charging I cannot figure out what’s wrong. It’s like it charges sometimes with the same method, different angles, etc. but it’s been super inconsistent. I’ve ruled out outlet, charging box, cord issues. I did different combinations of these with the same issue of the battery inconsistently port charging. My battery health is 78% if it matters but since it’s the charging itself I guess it wouldn’t? How likely is it an internal port issue? How do I even fix it or who do I get in contact to fix it? Edit: To be more clear, it does charge eventually. But not consistently. Edit 2: If this is the wrong sub for posts like this plz tell me which sub, I’m not usually in IT subreddits like this. submitted by /u/Boomdigity102 to r/iphone14 [link] [comments]

TIFU by finally needing my 15-year-old iPhone 4 and realizing I threw its charger away....Days prior.
I apologise for the format, I'm on the phone and on the throne. Also *Obligatory, this didn’t happen today, it happened about a week ago (plus minus a few days) but I’ve been spiraling ever I realised my mistake. So, you know how everyone has that junk drawer? The one full of random cables, chargers, adapters, old batteries, and the kind of crap you refuse to throw away because “I might need this someday”? Yeah… I have one of those, but times 10. In one of those I had this pouch thingy filled with an entanglement of cables and those rubber ends for earplugs. I’ve moved five times in those 15 yeaes, and through all of it, I kept my old iPhone 4. The phone that once was cutting-edge. The phone that now holds approximately 0.0001% of its original functionality. But I kept it. Because… you never know. There might be pictures, files, memories. Someday I’ll get to them. And I kept the charger. Oh, the charger. A broken, abused, frayed, barely-functioning Frankenstein cord that only worked if you held it at exactly the right angle while chanting the iPhone 4 prayer. But it was mine, and it still worked sometimes, and I was emotionally attached to it. Fast forward to yesterday. I actually needed the phone. It was dead. I needed the charger. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had thrown the charger away… about a week ago. I can’t even describe the panic. The feeling of despair. The hysterical laughter that hit afterwards. Fifteen years of hoarding, five moves, and for what? For this cruel cosmic joke? I had been holding onto the hope of accessing my files, old pictures. and now… nothing. Just a sad, 15-year-old iPhone, whispering “why?” Why did you abandon me father?" So yeah. That’s it. My junk-drawer-hoarding clean up has officially backfired. My emotional breakdown has been appropriately dramatic. The iPhone 4 is lost forever. I will never again throw something that "I might need someday". TL;DR: Kept my iPhone 4 and its ancient, barely-working charger for 15 years. Threw the charger away about a week ago. Now I can’t charge my phone and I’m questioning every life choice I’ve ever made. submitted by /u/Saftey_Equals_Danger to r/tifu [link] [comments]

[question] Blue Yeti not working with iPhone even with charger?
Hi everyone! I have seen this problem in many posts on different reddit pages, but none of them seem to suggest a solution that I haven’t already tried. I bought a Blue Yeti microphone but can’t get it to work with my iPhone 16 Pro to record ASMR videos. I have the Apple brand USB 3 adapter and am using an Apple brand 20W charger and cord. The microphone works fine on my laptop, but I wanted to avoid the extra step of syncing laptop Audio to iPhone video. I know many people on this sub use Blue Yeti + iPhone. Have any of you had this issue and been able to solve it? Photo of my setup: https://imgur.com/a/ok1Pib6 submitted by /u/Head-Fig994 to r/asmr [link] [comments]

Husband bought me an iPhone 14 Plus from our local Best Buy. Opened up the sealed box, found a smashed completely different phone inside, no charger cord.
I had posted this a few days ago but it got removed cause it was asking for legal advice, so I am reposting just to let you all know what happened in case this happens to others. As title says, we were sold a broken and obviously used iPhone in a ‘sealed’ box. Whoever had previously bought the phone had taken the 14plus out, replaced it with a broken shattered iPhone 11 (I believe), took the charger cord and resealed the box. Then returned it. Took it back to store immediately and they didn’t believe us (totally get that). Talked to the GM the next day and said they would look at the footage of the previous returns (the system showed that the phone had been bought and returned before). Then all the managers met and decided to believe us after looking at video and at the phone’s history. GM said they couldn’t refund us due to the phone that was supposed to be in the box, being activated and currently being used by the thief. This apparently does not let the system issue a refund. Initially we wanted a refund because this whole fiasco left a bad taste in our mouths and we didn’t want business with BB anymore. But I felt a bit pressured and gave in to an exchange instead. GM loaded a gift card with the refund and then helped me pick out a different phone. All was set right and I’m very thankful for the employee’s patience and understanding. Multiple employees mentioned this exact thing had happened a lot with AirPods. Staff says when accepting returns, they do not open boxes if they are still sealed. This seems like a ridiculous policy, especially with big ticket items like iPhones. this was a big scam that could have been prevented by a simple check. Has this happened at other stores? submitted by /u/rubyandgray to r/Bestbuy [link] [comments]

YSK that if your phone charger isn't working well and cords seem loose, there's probably lint stuck in there and you can pick it out making it like new again.
Don't go buy a new phone thinking your charging port is going bad like I did. Why YSK: taking out the lint with a small toothpick or something like that will fix your charging problems and save you money. submitted by /u/Jhenning04 to r/YouShouldKnow [link] [comments]

When I use a counterfeit Apple charger on my iPhone it says "not supported" and won't charge. Can my iPhone actually block the power it's receiving from the charging cord? How does it do it?
So let me explain myself. My understanding is that when I plug my cellphone charging, energy is "traveling" from the electrical outlet to my phone. Apple created all these software locks to avoid people from getting counterfeit chargers; however, can a software block the physical phenomenon of charging a cellphone? submitted by /u/LiterallySagan to r/askscience [link] [comments]
