The things that you just don't get the hype about! I'll go first: - Rituals, absolutely hate the stuff and I always get sets gifted to me. They just smell so unnatural 🤢 - Jellycat teddies, LO was given lots of Jellycat stuff and I just don't get the obsession? Yeah they're soft but they are so overpriced and some are just downright weird - Matcha, just 🤮🤮🤮

I’m a mild jellycat collector. I love them but i really can’t justify (or afford lol) resale costs for some of the retired ones that I’d love to get my hands on. My absolute dream jellycat is the medium lemon blossom bunny. The light butter yellow is one of my favorite colors with the florals i just obsess over her. I see smalls go for submitted by

I noticed that my jelly collection started super small. It was only jellies I’d be gifted or ones I’d buy if I really really wanted them. It quickly turned into an obsession with spending $300+ a month on just jellycats, aka mismanaging money and completely disregarding my monthly budget. Jellycat is also really good at the “you need to buy this now” tactic, since they sell out so quickly and may retire. Which loops me in even more. Has anyone else experienced feeling a little too obsessed with their collection? If so, how did you learn to be okay with missing out on jellies you really want and possibly retiring, and not being able to get them? With such a heavy heart, I’ve decided to leave Jellycat in 2025… Unfortunately, Purrks was the final nail in the coffin for my time collecting. I know it’s just some toy brand, but Jellycat used to be such a comfort of mine and this sub was my home, but unfortunately for my sake, I don’t want to be tempted or influenced to further support this company. I don’t want to be exposed to them online or any of my stockists’ posts anymore. I want to see them do better but until then, I must vote with my wallet and walk away from the company. My current Jellies still mean the world to me and I’d never part with them, they’re my favorite ever; especially Lucia, Aubrey, and Mocha (I’m sure some of you recognize them), but I think I’m content with all that I have now and see no reason to continue growing my collection. I could have just silently left this sub, but I wanted to make this post to show how grateful I am for my time here and all your kindness. I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful store selections, seeing how creative some of you are, and all the pictures and stories of everyone’s Jellycats. Hello baking friends! I made this cute Jellycat cake 🤭✨ i am really proud of this one as I’ve been practicing chiffon lately. I also saw a trend online that people are doing 2025 accomplishment cake (a trend where you list things you’re proud of/achieved this year) I wanted to make a cute cake for this trend! Is anyone else just sort of struggling with the direction jellycat as a company is going? I've been collecting since 2018 and my first was a large bashful beau who was purchased for me in a hospital gift shop. I had just had a traumatic emergency surgery. Now it seems the company is focusing on small plush that are more like home decor. Something you'd stick on a shelf to look at and enjoy, not something you'd snuggle to sleep with or watch TV. The hospital I got my first jellycat from no longer carries them, and all the other stores in my area have a super limited selection... And again, if they have anything it's amusables or an over priced fish tin lol I miss the large bunnies (I did order myself a large cream bunny I found on Amazon today. Figured I better grab before those are gone!) huggadies, smudges in large sizes like the elephant and bunny, splooties, huge dragons, the big cats, Perry polar bear... So many good huggable designs being retired and replaced with amusables 😭 even the sneak peak of the new Christmas bunnies I've seen have been so disappointing. 4 really good new colors but only in the small size. As someone with autism who uses her jellycats to stim and calm down the new direction is not only super sad for me, but it's also a little scary. I don't like change. I hope I’m right here, so maybe i can find some people who can relate. I got my first jellycat bunny today and i wanted one for so long. I’m a broke college student so imagine my excitement when i saw one second hand on a local website (kinda like Facebook marketplace). It was marketed as a medium and the photo made it look like it too. The description didn’t say medium but the size measurements made it sound like it. Well i got it today, and it’s a small. I can’t even really cuddle it. I’m so sad because i work hard for my money and if i send it back i’ll loose the shipping costs so it wouldn’t really be worth it. My family says it’s dumb to pay that much for a stuffed animal in the first place and then being sad about it. I just wanted to talk to some people who might understand.
