After years of extensions wrecking my natural lashes, using a lash serum was the only thing that actually brought them back. Within a couple months, they were noticeably longer, darker, and healthier-looking. Mascara finally looked good again instead of clumpy and sad. That said, not all serums are equal. A lot of the popular ones use prostaglandin-like ingredients, which is why they work so fast. But that’s also why some people get dry eyes, irritation, darker circles, or sensitive lids. I’ve tried a few, and some made my eyes miserable even though my lashes looked great. What’s worked best for me is applying a super thin line, only at night, and never going past the lash line. More product doesn’t mean better results, it just means more irritation. If your eyes start feeling dry or you notice darkening, take a break. Growth isn’t permanent anyway, so cycling on and off helps. Also, stop rubbing your eyes, be gentle removing makeup, and give your lashes time to recover if you’ve been doing extensions or lifts nonstop. Personally, I think serums are worth it if you’re careful and realistic about the risks. Curious what’s worked (or failed) for you. I just saw a tiktok from a girl saying she feels so much more confident, since she applies cluster lashes, that stay put for about a week. Is this possible? Or do you need to get professional lash extensions done if you want that? Do you know the products one would need for that? For context, I am naturally NOT blessed with thick lashes and they are also incredibly stubborn with wanting to stay up. They’ve also gotten quite sparse because I used to (and still) do eyelash extensions pretty often and love the look of my eyes with long lashes. I used to work in retail and looking ‘nice’ was one of the mini unspoken requirements so while I was raking in cash, I was able to upkeep it. With inflation and life happening, I have only been able to do it once or twice a year as a birthday treat to myself. So I’ve been looking for options to get the look but not spend hundreds of dollars only for them to fall off eventually 🥲 I’ve been seeing TikToks of people recommending c-beauty brand stick on falsies so decided to give it a shot and they have been an absolute game changer. I am used to using traditional falsies but there are days where I don’t want THAT falsies look. This is where c-beauty falsies come into play. They are honestly pretty easy to apply BUT you definitely need eyelash tweezers. I bought a Japanese brand called D-Up and I really like it so far. With installation, there’s a trick where you tilt your head back and it pops itself on almost. Find what works for you but this is how I get them on To do an endurance test of this, I went to an intense pilates class and they didn’t come off!! Apologies for my hairy face/brows I took these photos before I had my brows waxed and face dermaplaned. Just wanted to share my results from using the Obagi Nu-cil eyelash enhancing serum. Before I was pregnant I used to use the babe lash serum and conditioner but after my pregnancy when I tried using babe lash again I had an allergic reaction so I was devastated and had to stop using it. I was recommended obagi lash serum by my esthetician and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. I personally did not have any negative reactions with obagi. In both pics I used lash curler and waterproof maybelline lash sensational. I don’t know how long it took me to get my results because I wasn’t really focused on it. My lashes sometimes were long and sometimes short like in second pic (I damaged them because of poor skincare and putting falsies 😭) and I used my sub. Yeah I will not hide it it’s mine.
