So I recently bought an old smith and wesson safety hammerless revolver. It seems to be in fairly good condition but has a strange issue where the trigger will only work with the barrel tilted upwards, otherwise, the trigger just goes back without engaging the hammer. I have taken it almost completely apart and in doing so a little piece of a leaf spring fell out. I have no clue where it fell from and have not been able to figure it out from any assembly/disassembly videos. I threw this lemon squeezer in a beginner’s pottery class (my second such class, two sets of four 2-hour sessions, plus regular weekly drop-ins since April) and I, while I’m mostly happy with it, am wondering how to prevent the tip of the squeezy bit from s-cracking. It was thrown as a mini-cylinder in the middle then gradually “volcano’d” towards the centre, making it quite hard to compress it in the final stages. So in the length of our 8-month relationship, I’ve experienced a train of words and actions that have been so hurtful to me in isolation but I specially in sequence. I broke up with him 10 days ago because: 1 month into the relationship, we’re showering and casually talking and I ask him a question, and he responds, “xyz…. You FUCKING WHORE!” I was so confused. This sweet thoughtful funny guy was in front of me, we were both naked, and he’s calling me a fucking whore. Everything froze and I had to go to my bed and explain why that was hurtful and to not do it again. I regret not just breaking up with him then. ^ EDIT: the moment everything froze i said, “what the fuck?!” and he said, “sorry was that too far?” And I said, “yeah”. Then we went over what happened and he said it was funny in his head. So yes it was supposed to be a joke.) We were showering maybe at the 5 month mark and he does this again, almost answers a question with “because you’re a fucking bi—-“ until he sees my face that basically says “I dare you to finish that”. He didn’t. ^ EDIT: A couple of people are asking for context and what questions I asked here. I literally don’t remember and I wish I did, but they were so innocuous and his response so out of pocket and shocking that I seriously don’t remember anything before that moment. This was also supposed to be a joke. I was talking about Lyft vs. Uber and say “I just use Lyft because it’s pink” and he says “I use you because you’re pink” ^ EDIT: yes this was supposed to be a joke. I asked him later if he would think it was funny if I said it and he said yes, and that it’s not supposed to mean anything because he’s obviously not using me. He would send me zoomed in, very unflattering pictures of myself Asked why my eyes were cross-eyed in a picture of myself when I was a kid. I looked so cute. Now I just see a flaw. i was taking too long to get ready which annoys him. We were finally in the elevator and he says “I should just date myself” I told him my childhood nickname was flea/tick in Spanish but hinted that I didn’t like it. he kept calling me that until I told him to stop. It sounds so gross in English. We were showering and he fills up his mouth with water and splashes it on my face like a water balloon. It felt kind of rude but I didn’t really get mad or whatever. I asked to do it to him and he obliged. Finally the last straw was getting a picture of my face sleeping, and I looked soo old. It made me self conscious that that’s what I look like when I sleep and frowning with wrinkles. I ask him what app he used and he says “no app! That’s what you look like when you sleep”. I got home and asked to see the picture and then he finally says it’s the Snapchat age filter. I tried to understand … why … he would send that. He said he thought it was funny and wanted me to laugh. I told him I didn’t think we were compatible. That I wish it was funny and he could be with someone who loved it and thought it was funny but I wasn’t that person. Anyways, am I overreacting? Edit: a couple of people are asking about his redeeming qualities. This post is admittedly very centered around specific events. Here is a fuller perspective. He always turns on the mattress heater for me before I come to bed. He cooks for me. He gets snacks for me. He brings me sauerkraut and other ferments that hes been experimenting with. He spams me with silly cute Instagram memes. He gave me an offspring from his sourdough starter and then taught me how to make sourdough bread. He fixed a flat tire on my bike. He saves the last bite of dim sum for me. We do the nyt puzzles together. He got us flower legos to build together. He got me some games on Steam. He makes me laugh a lot. He loves animals and takes really good care of his two cats. He made us matching lemon squeezers in his pottery class. Edit continued 🤪: A lot of people are calling out differences in humor. Totally. His sense of humor is pretty well balanced but can lean towards aggressive. I’m very uncomfortable with aggressive humor. My sense of humor is mostly over the top positivism lol, the complete opposite. Like when Leslie knope calls Ann a “rainbow infused space unicorn”. Over the top compliments are really cute and funny to me. Over the top insults are not. Like even the tick/flea comment, if he were to spin that into “the cutest flea in the world. My flea”. Or “a tick that makes me tick” or whatever, something that highlights the ridiculousness or spins it to a cute direction would make it very funny to me. Broad city is a very funny show. The way Ilana hyped up Abbi is so funny, like when she’s checking into a club and tells the bouncer she has a friend inside, “Chocolate brown eyes? Ass of an angel?” lol. I also love Ilana Glazers humor. Her character is pretty immature in the show, but very lovable. She’s not malicious whatsoever. I also love to make silly emoji landscapes and send them to him. Like for the first day of spring I made an elaborate landscape with emojis of flowers, plant, trees, bees, birds, fairies, dragons, eggs, a monkey popping a squat lmao. It was silly and fun. They're still making it with a slightly different design. The skillets range in size from #14 (15 1/2 inches) to #3 (6 1/2 inches). I also have Dutch ovens, several gem pans, meat grinders, a sausage stuffer, one of those Sunbeam radiant control toasters that this subreddit loves, some coffee grinders, and more that I can't think of off the top of my head. Unfortunately not possible to get the entire collection in one photo but this corner of the kitchen holds a good chunk of it.
