Tito was called "El Matador" officially, just like how Curt Hennig was officially Mr. Perfect. The commentary would occasionally refer to him by his real name, but the chyron and all of his merch was just "El Matador." Same with Perfect. I don't think the previous Tito peg-warming has anything to do with it.

Just need to vent about this because it's still annoying me. We rebranded four months ago, new logo new colors the whole thing, and I'm now staring at boxes of merch in storage that are completely worthless. Hoodies, polos, tote bags, notebooks... all stamped with a logo that doesn't exist anymore. Rough count puts it around $3,200 in dead inventory. Can't use any of it. Employees don't want old branding, clients would think we're sloppy, and I tried to donate some of the polos but even goodwill looked at us funny lol. 40 polos from a company nobody's heard of with a logo from four months ago. Cool. The part that kills me is we bulk ordered all of it thinking we were being smart about per unit cost. And we were... until the rebrand made every single item obsolete overnight. That $3,200 is just gone and I'm trying not to think about it too hard. ...and apparently replacement of Naoya in her place?? From all the promo material, it genuinely looks like Naoya is a part of the main gang or something. Nobara is gone and it's like choso replaced her, which is whatever, but even naoya replaces maki? Who is still relevant and just had a huge episode?? We see Hakari, kirara, and Higuruma start to get merch because the anime has reached that point, and they join, but Naoya's an antagonist through and through... not to mention Maki, who is the 8th most liked character, who just got a badass arc avenging her sister, is rarely seen. At first, i thought it was just a coincidence, then i had to actively search for maki merch?? I'm not saying we cant get merch of a villain, I know people loved toji, and i dont know if he is somehow more liked in japan than maki, but she's one of my favorites and im just kind of baffled. I also know jjk is obviously a shounen, but Kirara is the only female character rarely getting merch rn. If you are an individual (as opposed to a large, mass-producing corporation), and you create and sell DCC-themed merchandise in your Etsy store and/or offline at events, etc., I'd like you to know we are in the process of creating a FREE (As in you don't have to pay me or anybody else anything) licensing agreement that will be available to INDIVIDUALS only selling THEIR OWN ORIGINAL ART AND DESIGNS in the DCC universe. The process will be simple and straightforward, and there won't be any hidden gotchas in there other than YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO USE AI ART TO GET A LICENSE. We just have to have you registered, and we have to approve the individual items you're selling. Feel free to list your Etsy store here for now in this post. I'll soon have a more formal call to action with specific details as soon as we're done drafting the formalities of the agreement. I'm also going to need your help finding the listings of the bootleg t-shirt vendors stealing other people's stuff. The reason why we're doing this is to protect you, my friends and fans. As someone who has lived in the artist alley for most of my adult life, it's important to me that individual fans are able to make and sell merch using their own original art, but we also want to stop the people who don't give a shit about DCC from stealing and selling MY art and YOUR art. We will also have more formal licensing agreements with larger vendors coming soon. We are about to start trademarking multiple, DCC-themed items. And the official store is also about to have a bunch of new stuff. It's gonna get much more complicated in the near future, so it's important we know who you are now. Apologies for the lack of plastic sleeves on these — tried it all on, and have worn a piece each day since Wednesday (and on Wednesday too…) Had full intent on buying anything I saw that I wanted (or the wife wanted) but failed in execution due to being overwhelmed at 7 am entry to the shop. Have some gifts for friends and family (small gnomes, hats mainly - not the green brimmed, and the towels) — but anything left I’ll offer up here — although next time I’d grab more.
