Stylists fear Hollywood stars are blind to how skinny they really are — while health expert warns of ‘malnutrition’ and muscle ‘waste’
Multiple sources told Page Six that even already-thin stars are now taking so-called microdoses, or “baby” doses of Ozempic or other weight-loss “jabs” that are smaller quantities than the FDA-approved therapeutic dosage. (Typically, patients start at 0.25ml injections for the first month and increase from there.) “There’s a stigma now to having any weight,” one stylist and former Vogue editor told Page Six. submitted by /u/muaentertainmentforu to r/MUAEntertainment [link] [comments]

My psychiatrist wants me to try microdosing Ozempic - anyone try this?
I’ve tried so many different medications and have so many issues. Well unfortunately, it seems like I’ve gained weight without even realizing it and the combination of the two seem like perhaps this could be an option, as I guess there’s some evidence that micro dosing GLP1 can help with anxiety and depression. Especially OCD thinking at least that’s what he said. I’m wondering if anybody here has tried this and if it’s helped? submitted by /u/OkMastodon2674 to r/OCD [link] [comments]

Microdosing Ozempic for a slim person?
I heard of Ozempic or similar drugs that can reduce inflammation for CFS, but I only see people who have weight problems that use it. I am 30+ female and weighed 43 kg, I was told that super microdose might be ok for me. I am not sure if it would worsen my POTS(already having nausea and poor appetite daily). Would like to heard from experiences. submitted by /u/wing_yen to r/cfs [link] [comments]

Is Everybody Secretly Microdosing Ozempic Without You?
What used to be a whisper—I’m on Ozempic—has recently become a shout. Celebrities like Serena Williams, Oprah, and Kelly Clarkson are on the jab—a.k.a. an injectionable medication like Ozempic, Zepbound, or Mounjaro, which are synthetic versions of the GLP-1 hormone our body produces—and the results typically include weight loss. “GLP-1 is short for glucagon-like peptide-1, a hormone that we produce in our gut after we eat,” says Rocio Salas-Whalen, a board-certified physician who specializes in obesity medicine and endocrinology. Some 90% of Dr. Salas-Whalen’s patients are currently on a form of the medication, and it inspired her to write the book Weightless, due out in December. “The main function of this hormone is to regulate glucose, but it also helps us feel full after we eat, reduces cravings, and slows down gastric emptying. We have receptors for this hormone all throughout our bodies. GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic and Zepbound, are long-acting versions of our body’s GLP-1 hormone and have the same effects.” Vogue Shopping The insider’s guide to what to shop and how to wear it.Sign upBy signing up, you agree to our user agreement (including class action waiver and arbitration provisions), and acknowledge our privacy policy. Last year one in eight Americans reported having tried one of the drugs, which is typically prescribed to those with diabetes or obesity, because of the weight-loss side effect. Along with the weight loss, though, have come hair loss, facial sagging (known as Ozempic face), and potentially shady knockoffs. The latest trend tied to the drug? Microdosing. Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen recently confessed that he’s been doing it on his show Radio Andy. Related Video “Given that for 20 years I have been asking people about their body regimens and that I’ve been pretty vocal about every time I go on a diet, I think it would be completely hypocritical not to share,” Cohen says. “This summer, [I lost] a good chunk of weight by microdosing a GLP-1.” The father of two said he was unhappy with his weight, but other health concerns, like “plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure,” motivated his decision to go on the drug. “Microdosing a GLP-1 refers to taking a dose that is smaller than the FDA-approved therapeutic dose,” says Dr. Salas-Whalen. Dave Asprey—founder of Bulletproof Coffee and inventor of the term biohacking, whom I’d sort of describe as a male version of Gwyneth Paltrow—agrees that microdosing is a fad that he hopes passes. Asprey began his weight-loss journey in 1995, weighing in at 300 pounds. It wasn’t exactly done what we would call the old-fashioned way (a.k.a. just diet and exercise) because his tactics involved then experimental techniques like MCT oil, but he didn’t have GLP-1s as an option at the time. “We’re all obsessed with GLP-1s right now because they deliver visible results in the short term and we live in a world that loves a quick fix,” Asprey tells me. “For someone who’s severely obese, that can be a real breakthrough. But the catch is that in most cases, you’re not just losing fat, you’re losing muscle. And it’s not just a little muscle. Scientists compare the muscle loss from GLP-1s to severe starvation.” He adds that he only tried a version of the drug once but “felt like I had morning sickness the entire time and thought, I really don’t want to feel like this all the time.” For one anonymous Vogue employee, microdosing Ozempic has been a breakthrough. “I have a binge eating problem,” she tells me at the office. “When I was on a standard dose, people were noticing and a lot of people were commenting on how bad I looked. People kept saying, ‘Your head looks big.’ I was also so tired.” After working with her prescriber, they settled on her taking the smallest dose approved by the FDA—0.5 ml—but every other week, instead of weekly. And while the Vogue staffer has nothing but good things to say about her microdosing experience, experts warn this isn’t the way the GLP-1 drugs are meant to be used. “The thought [behind microdosing] was that by giving a smaller dose than the initial therapeutic dose, they would avoid the side effects,” says Dr. Salas-Whalen. “What does microdosing do to the body? Not much. If you’re looking to lose weight and regulate glucose, you want to take the therapeutic doses that have been studied and proven to produce the effects that the drug was designed to have on your body.” She does, however, offer a caveat: “I have seen some patients benefit from a very low maintenance-level dosage after reaching their fat-loss goal, though this should be done under the supervision of an experienced provider.” https://www.vogue.com/article/microdosing-ozempic submitted by /u/markoj22 to r/KeltoiWellness [link] [comments]

Chubby girls microdosing on Ozempic
I don’t know how I came across this, it’s Bari Weiss’ sister interviewed about her Ozempic microdosing habit. She’s shamelessly bragging about it. What is supposedly for morbidly obese people is not being abused by chubby women too lazy to do a little exercise or tone down their Ben & Jerry’s intake. submitted by /u/harry_powell to r/redscarepod [link] [comments]

Microdosing Ozempic – Food Noise for Guys, Is This the Secret?
Hey guys, not sure if this is just me, but the one thing that’s always driven me nuts about trying to lose weight is the constant food noise in my head. Doesn’t matter if I’m at work, driving, on my phone—half my brain is on autopilot, always circling around what I’m going to eat next. It's natural and why we have survived hundreds of thousands of years, but it's not for the 21st century since there's literally food everywhere all the time. I’m decent at discipline, but even then it’s like there’s always this background static about food. It’s tiring. so i tried something different recently & started microdosing Ozempic. Not the full dose, just enough that I figured maybe it would take the edge off. I was honestly skeptical, but after a week or two it hit me: the food noise wasn’t there. It wasn’t some “lightning bolt” moment, just this weird realization that I wasn’t thinking about snacks, or what I was going to eat, or fighting the urge to open the fridge at 10pm. It was just... quiet. No side effects. Didn’t feel sick, didn’t feel wired, just more even. I eat meals and then move on. If I’m out for dinner with people, I don’t care if I don’t finish my plate. Never happened before. I’m posting this because if you’re a guy and you get what I mean by “food noise,” I honestly think microdosing Ozempic is worth a shot. Obviously, not medical advice and all that, but this is the first time in a while food isn’t running the show in my head. Curious if anyone else here has noticed the same thing or if it’s just me. If you’ve tried it—did you get the same quiet, or was it different for you? submitted by /u/slipps_ to r/OzempicMicrodosing [link] [comments]

Switching from microdosing Ozempic to Wegovy auto injector
I was initially prescribed a 3ml Ozempic auto injector with 1mg doses, of which I worked up to 1.25mg. None of the pharmacies I went to in the US (originally got Ozempic in another country) would fill an Ozempic rx, even though my doctor gave me one. I switched to Wegovy, not realizing there was no way to micro dose. My doctor gave me a 2.4mg shot. Is this shot a little bit less than twice as strong as the Ozempic, or is potentially stronger? In doing some reading, some people are saying that one shot may have a higher concentration of the drug, so comparing mg to mg might not be an accurate measurement. What's the real here? submitted by /u/Watchme100 to r/WegovyWeightLoss [link] [comments]

has anyone tried microdosing Ozempic or other GLP-1s to quit drinking?
Recently Tyna Moore did a video about micro-dosing GLP-1s for health improvement. This may make sense for people who are naturally thin but want the anti-craving or other mental health benefits. Basically she takes a half or quarter dose. Has anyone tried this for cravings? submitted by /u/ravrore to r/dryzempic [link] [comments]

Microdosing eg 0.05 at a time
Hello, I started Ozempic three days ago. All the reviews with side effects like vomiting and migraines worried me. I suffer from occasional migraines normally ( without Ozempic). So I decided to microdose using my 0.25 Ozempic pen. To do this I use insulin ( very fine) needles. These are cheap to buy. If anyone has q's please ask and if I can help I will. Mind you I've only just started. I drew up 0.05 mg from the pen and injected 3 days ago and last night. Total is 0.10 then. So far feel ok. Some extra reflux at throat but I took omeprazole as I have reflux anyway. Day 1 no appetite change. Day 2 slight appetite reduction. Day 3 today woke up not feeling as hungry as usual. But will still eat lunch, see if I am early to feel full. No idea if the microdosing will be effective. I won't be taking more than the 0.25 per week of course. I wonder how it will build up and just hope I don"t start getting side effects after a week UPDATE: day 6 and I've taken a total of 0.20mg in 0.05 titrations. Side effects: only some painless tummy grumbles and weird dreams. Appetite: feels pretty normal so far. Not suppressed. Previous feeling of appetite reduction was just in my mind I think. submitted by /u/Dapper-Custard-3248 to r/Ozempic [link] [comments]
