Why is Milky Toner trending?

1
Hydration Boost
Milky Toners are known for their ability to provide intense hydration, making them ideal for dry or dehydrated skin types. The milk-based ingredients help to lock in moisture and keep the skin plump.
2
Gentle Exfoliation
Many Milky Toners contain lactic acid, which gently exfoliates the skin, helping to remove dead skin cells and promote a smoother complexion without causing irritation.
3
Brightening Effects
The nourishing ingredients in Milky Toners can help to brighten the skin, giving it a more radiant and youthful appearance. This is particularly appealing to those looking to improve dull or uneven skin tone.
4
Multi-Functional Product
Milky Toners serve multiple purposes, acting as a toner, moisturizer, and sometimes even a serum. This versatility makes them a convenient addition to any skincare routine.
5
Popularity of K-Beauty
The rise of K-beauty trends in the U.S. has contributed to the popularity of Milky Toners, as they are often featured in Korean skincare routines that emphasize hydration and layering products for optimal skin health.

Oily skin girl here... are milky toners worth the hype or am I just getting influenced again. I've been seeing them everywhere and I get the appeal of that soft hydrated glass skin look sounds nice but I keep wondering if it's too much for oily skin. Does anyone have any non-milky toner recommendations that have zero exfoliation?
Hi everyone! Like the title says: I'm looking for non-milky toners/toner pads that have ZERO exfoliation (even toners like Dokdo Toner have a gentle exfoliation, which is not what I'm looking for). I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and live in a hot, humid climate. Toners that help with redness, cooling, hydration and/or barrier strength would be my priority. No animal-based products either, please (no animal PDRN or animal collagen, for example)! Thank you! submitted by /u/teenxrocket to r/koreanskincare [link] [comments]

[Product question] Am I using milky toner wrong?
Hi all! This is my first ever reddit post and I'm usually a lurker, I feel like I need more tailored advice on this one. I got a sample (25ml) of Laneige Cream Skin milky toner and I've tried it a few times but it always ends up feeling sticky for a really long time and it makes me wonder if I'm using it wrong. Since it's such a small sample size, it didn't come with any instructions, and maybe I'm not using it at the right step in my routine? This is my normal routine in the morning (33F, dry & sensitive skin): - cleanse face with Laroche Posay micellar foaming water cleanser, pat dry with towel - medical eyedrops that require I rinse the skin around my eyes after, so I usually re-wet my entire face - The Ordinary multi peptides + HA serum on my wet skin, wait until dry/absorbed - Neutrogena hydro-boost gel cream, let it absorb as I go about my day - I add sunscreen if I'm leaving the house, but I work from home and I'm mostly a hermit In the evening, if I remember to do it, sometimes might do lactic acid 10% from The Ordinary if my skin feels dull, and moisturizer again (definitely not daily) Now with the Laneige Cream skin milky toner, I've tried using it after the serum and without the moisturizer since it's supposed to be hydrating? But I end up with my skin feeling so sticky for upwards of an hour after, like it's not absorbing at all and just sits there. Should I be waiting more to use it on dryer skin? Should I be using it at night instead? I don't feel like I'm drenching my face with it, but could I be using too much? Is it simply not the product for me? I don't like to be wasteful, so I want to make sure it's not user error before I throw it away. (I don't have anyone I could give it to) Any advice is appreciated! I cannot believe the difference from 24 days ago thanks to asking for advice!
I came asking for help with all the fine lines on my face and you guys delivered! I didn’t realize just how dehydrated my face was and that I was due for some changes in routine. I wasn’t expecting my skin to change so much already (I’m 33) but clearly I needed some changes! I’m so thankful for this group 🤍 New routine: So I cleanse at night only and then I do all the other steps both morning and night. At night I’ve been slugging with aquaphor but I’ve gone down to only 2-3 days a week for that now. La roche posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser for Dry Skin Milky toner from Paula’s choice The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides Then at night for moisturizer I’m using CALM Rescue & Repair Intensive Moisturizer Paula’s choice Morning moisturizer is Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer I use DRMTGLY tinted moisturizer with spf but it’s been pilling lately with the new changes so I think I’m going to be on the hunt for another one. Id like to work retinol back in eventually but I’m scared because I think that was one of the products that messed up my barrier in the first place 🤷🏻‍♀️ submitted by /u/weddingaccount060417 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

[Routine Help] Understanding Milky Toners, and what benefit they will have in my current routine? (BYOMA Milky Toner I am thinking of)
Hi all. As I mentioned previously, I am quite new to skin care. I am 40yo male, with (I think lol) combination skin. I don't have issues with acne, or anything, I just want to start and stick to a decent skin care routine. My only issue I still have, is my face does still feel tight in the morning (only the morning). I don't cleanse in the morning, just water. Below is my routine for AM and PM. I am thinking of adding BYOMA milky toner, as a couple people have suggested I try. AM Wash my face with Water COSRX The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum TO Hyaluronic Acid Tatcha Dewy Cream Moisturizer Then later on, I will put on CeraVe SPF 30 PM ( It rotates) 5 Nights a week I do... Wash with Glow Recipe Avacado Cleanser Estee Lauder ANR TO Niacinamide YTTP Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Night Cream Then 2 Nights a week I use TO 1% Retinol in Squlance and YTTP Night Cream My Question is. What would adding the BYOMA Milky Toner to my morning routine help with? Or would it make much of a difference based on my current routine? I would thinking of taking out the TO Hyaluronic acid in the morning (there is already lots in the COSRC and TATCHA), and starting my morning routine with BYOMA Milky Toner. I would love to simplify things more, so I though it would be nice to just use the Milky Toner, then COSRCX, then Moisturize in the morning. Thoughts? Advice? Thanks so much! submitted by /u/GeneLow40 to r/SkincareAddiction [link] [comments]

do milky toners actually do anything?
I was looking at the lenaige milky toner. The reviews are good - but is it really worth it? Is it better to just have a basic routine with a good moisturizer? Milky Toner/Essence Suggestions
I am looking to add a milky toner/essence to my routine for the winter - I have normal dehydrated skin, with some redness. I've been using the Haru Haru, and really like it, but I keep seeing really great things about the Dr. Ceuracle and I'm From Rice Toner. I also saw the Make P:rem recently and was intrigued. Would love to hear from people that have used more than one of these, in order to compare (the more the better!) Byoma Milky toner has made my skin the best it’s been since my 20’s!!
I have been using Byoma Milky toner for about a month now, and my skin has never been more soft, hydrated and plump since my early 20’s (33 now). Previous I was dealing with my face feeling super tight, rough and irritated as I kept having random bouts of contact dermatitis and left my eyes, forehead, and upper lip scaly, red and dry for several months. I was really upset about this, but kept seeing people talking about this product and thought I may as well give it a go, not giving it much hope. I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence or it really is the toner, but I love it and it makes me skin feel so good! This will now be a staple for me! I’ll insert some pictures of my skin since using the toner. submitted by /u/LiverpoolLovely to r/Skincare_Addiction [link] [comments]
