This vintage women’s motorcycle jacket has a pocket that is open on the side, zips on top, and passes through between them. What could this possibly be for? If the side can’t be secured, any small objects are at risk of falling out. So why a zipper on top? It can’t be for ventilation because it is fully leather inside. For context - I live in an apartment by myself and I am only allowed one parking space As shown I have to parallel park my motorcycle and park my car into the same space in order to make them fit Some fucking sleezebags ( mind you these are non - residents ) decided it was a good idea to park here instead of if the 60+ available other spaces between this floor and the one above I then left a note kindly asking this douche bag not to park there in which he responded telling me to go fuck myself Subaru has done it more than once in the same day even a f t e r leaving a note . I posted a video yesterday that mods removed, showing the aftermath of this incident that happened last weekend, and the cited removal reason was that it wasn’t entirely motorcycle related because it just showed the beatdown afterwards- I can understand that and I think this alternative angle footage from Alan’s POV shows a more balanced view involving a situation that many riders can relate to where they get stopped or impeded unfairly just because they’re on a bike and things escalate, it’s not uncommon to get get hassled like this. The last post made it seem one-sided but from this footage it’s clear who instigated and escalated. It’s never happened to me but I’m always wondering what I’d do in this kind of scenario, anyone have any pointers for defusing things? The last thing I’d want is to get in a street fight when I’m out to just enjoy my motorcycle. I just got home from being gone for several months and noticed this strange pile in the center of my motorcycle's tailpipe. I winterized it in the garage before I left, but I realized I forgot to close off the opening of the tailpipe before I left. I live rural and small critters making shelter where they can is very common here so these things need to be considered. My best guess is that it's food storage for a local fauna, but the fact that it looks almost like it's glowing a neon pink when I shine my white LED flashlight on it is weirding me out. I have my guesses, but curious to know others' thoughts. Luckily, this certain pipe has an interchangeable tail allowing me to slip the back half off just before the two pipes turn into one, so I'll be slipping it off tomorrow to attempt cleaning it out and get a better look. Update #1 New photos in the comments - Found another stash in the garage this morning. Definitely some kind of super solid grain. I cracked one open using pliers. You guys are absolutely hilarious! I have been riding for 24 years. I have owned all kinds bikes, cruisers, sport bikes, enduros ect... I love them all (except for that fucking Vstar). But the absolute worst thing about them, is the people who do not ride them! I hate going to gas stations to have some fuck come over and tell me his ten minute story, on how his cousins husbands fourth removed step mothers roommate in college, had a friend who died on one. Or what ever B.S. story they are going to tell me. I now it is dangerous, but so is walking down the road. Why do you have to bore me with your story, and then shit on my most most favorite thing in my life by telling me about how people who you somehow know, died doing what I do. I rode my bike to a family reunion, and for the first 30 minutes after arriving, I had to listen to everyone's motorcycle story. I don't fucking care. Maybe it's me. I know I have a hatred for people which is why I drive a vehicle that no one else can be on, and still talk to me. I have started to keep a gas can in my garage so when I get low, I fill it up in my garage so I do not have to go to and hear peoples stories. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. (F20)So in early November I brought my bike to this mechanic my BIL recommended me. I knew it needed new tires and a new battery, I paid him $300 upfront and he said it would be done in two weeks so I would still be able to get some riding in before the winter hit. Fast forward to this morning and it’s still not fixed. I rented a U-Haul motorcycle trailer and called him to tell him I’m on the way and he told me I can’t come get my bike today because the tires aren’t on and theres loose bolts and he wants to get it finished.
