My (totaly biased, incomplete, and at time stright-up incoherent) Tierlist of SL builds.
S-Tier Mechanized Lim : Fully Mechanized Infantry is arguably the strongest doctrine in the game, and Lim is the best unit to do so. On top of Mobile Infantry, he has two extremely useful perks to make it work : Pointfire and Berserk. With a good rifle and ammo, you can kill three units a turn and never lose a single squaddie. Moreover, his starting perk allows you to quickly build him up even in the early game, where other very strong units take more time and resources to set up. Stealth Darby : Stealth Darby needs no introduction; she is the undisputed queen of this early access. While she is an extremely expensive unit to build, both in terms of supply and promotion points, the results speak for themselves. Not only is she incredibly strong on the battlefield, able to clear entire missions by herself as long as there is no armor, but she is also the only proper recon squad in the game. Making her an almost indispensable unit in every playthrough. Playing without Darby is one of the biggest nerfs because nobody else is really able to fill her niche. Jetpack Medium Mech Rewa : The strongest individual unit in the game, able to clear by herself late-game expert missions (you are probably going to need at least two resupplies if you want to try tough). The Berserk and Drive-By perks allow her to jump and kill two units in one turn, and with Fury Commando, and the twin autocannons, she can annihilate everything in one shot. She is even able to reliably kill a heavy tank by herself as long as she keeps shooting at its back. Very expensive and only available in the late-game once the medium mech starts appearing on the black market, but the best solution to any MENACE-related problem you might have, and just an absolute blast to play. Taxi Driver Exconde : The Ying to Mechanized Lim’s Yang. Able to cover staggering amounts of ground with his Fervor perk, he can breach enemy lines or conduct aggressive flanking maneuvers easily. While he will outpace all recon or supporting units, he is tanky enough thanks to Divine Intervention to survive first contact with the enemy and unload its infantry. His only problem is his lack of anti-armor capabilities, but then again, if you don’t like the neighborhood, you can just pack your stuff and leave to the other side of the map. In a game where aggression and maneuver are the name of the game, Exconde is the most powerful mobility enabler. But be careful as Rewa tends to get jealous if Lim spends too much time in his APC. A-Tier Mechanized Yaz : While Yaz has the Mobile Infantry and Berserk perks that allow him to shoot 3 times a turn, his lack of Pointfire and a lower Accuracy stat make him a less reliable 3-units-a-turn killer than Lim, but with If It Bleeds and Fearsome, you can still put the enemy out of action. Yaz is the second infantry unit that enables the Fully Mechanized Infantry doctrine making him an integral building block of the most powerful strategy. Moreover the first time I heard him yell “Сдавайся, сука” I got flashback from hundreds of videos from the Ukraine War, which is a positive in my book. Jetpack Medium Mech Achilles : While he suffers from the lack of Berserk, which means he can only fire once after jumping at base stats, he is still the only other unit who can properly utilize the jetpack mech. His Shield Wall perk makes him extremely survivable, and can put him over the 120 AP point necessary to jump and fire twice really fast. It also allows him to be a lot more aggressive when playing against the Rogue Army, as he doesn’t have to fear being one-shot by ATGMs. While his base damage is significantly lower than Rewa's, there are still very few units that can take a twin autocannon volley and live to tell the tale. Jetpack Assault Lim : Lim’s position as the character with the best action economy in the game makes him very potent with the jetpack armor. With Run And Gun and Berserk you can kill two units after jumping, with Counter Strike often killing a third. Moreover, his Blaze of Glory perk is a lifesaver when you discover there was an autocannon team you hadn’t noticed before jumping, and who is about to ruin your day. With good Discipline and Defense Stats, he can generally shrug off one or two attacks before being pinned down, which is often the biggest danger for jump squads. All in all, the Jetpack Assault doctrine is probably a bit too unforgiving and inconsistent to warrant the “A” rank, especially in Ironman Expert difficulty. But it is super fun and very satisfying, and this tier list is a reflection of my biases rather than any form of reality, so it gets a spot. Jetpack Assault Yaz : The insane slavic second half of the dynamic duo. A true murder machine in close combat, his ability to kill two units after jumping and sending the rest running is extremely powerful, and with No Mercy, you have an incredibly strong follow-on turn where you can easily kill even a full health, in-cover enemy unit that has become Wavering. The fact that he can morale break everybody around him affords him a lot more survivability, which compensates for his lower discipline. Designator Tech : While the idea of using the 2 meter tall, 100 kilos beast of a man as a glorified laser pointer is really funny, it is also very efficient. Without having to deploy and with Quick Hand, he can designate up to three targets in a turn, making him the perfect hunter in a hunter-killer antitank team. I like to put him in a jetpack armor for mobility, with this build, you can still lase one target after jumping, which allows you to kill any armor threats that pops up anywhere in one turn. B-Tier ATGM Bog : Bog’s ability to bring an incredibly cheap vehicle is perfectly adapted for an ATGM build, and because it’s far more efficient to use it in top attack mode, his poor Accuracy doesn’t come into play. While you can go to his Lucky Shot perk to dispatch heavy tanks more easily, the added cost in Promotion Points isn’t really worth it. And you don’t really need a build with Achilleas or Ivey where you fire two times a turn. Corcodile Kody : Your one-stop solution for small mechs, pirate vehicles, and large bugs. Kody’s excellent Accuracy and high AP make him a very potent mobile sniper. And with the Assassin, Tankbuster, and Gerilla perks the Crocodile hits like a thermonuclear brick. Because you can run him in a 3 man squad for that role the squaddie tax becomes a lot less problematic. Command Pike : A really powerful unit in the early game when you have yet to build your insane AP economy SLs, he allows you to make these very aggressive maneuvers that win firefights. Inspiring Presence and Rally make pushes a lot easier, and he can soak up so much suppression he might as well be used for target practice. The only problem is that once your assaulters start to have more AP, or jetpacks, he really struggles to keep up, and the reach of his abilities is not that great. Heavy Infantry Vamplew : I really like Vamplew. As a francophone, his accent feels a bit like having somebody repeatedly pull my cochlea with tweezers, but it might be for lore reasons? Maybe? I don’t know, and it doesn’t really matter because he is such a great infantry unit. Great stats, not too expensive to build or field, and his unique perk is really strong and fun to use. If you handle him well, he can have 165 AP almost every turn in combat, and with Pointfire and Shooting Gallery that means a whole lot of dead enemies. While he is going to struggle against the MENACE, as even late-game armors tend to get shredded by their guns, he will be a really strong unit against anything beforehand, all while serving like a baddie. I mean, a purple scarf, a plate carrier, and TWO jackets? That’s just style on another level; it would make these losers on r/malefashionadvice spontaneously combust if they could see it. Grenade Launcher Carda : An excellent early game anti-infantry unit for defense missions; her lack of accuracy does not impact her much, nor does her very low AP. You can go to Full Send or Steady Gun if you really want to, but there isn’t really any need. And I love the sound of the MK19, so that’s a bonus. I’ve tried to make a decent Mechanized build with her, but I never really managed to, if anybody did I’m curious because I really don’t think I’m using her to her full potential. Tank Rewa : Rewa in a tank just seems fitting, you know that if she had a sword she would order her driver to drive her closer to the enemy to hit them with it. It is an excellent, self-contained, late-game antitank unit. Able to quickly react to threats, survivable, and with the CMG50 or the Grenade Launcher, still able to deal with any pesky infantry, including MENACE drones. With Fury and Tankbuster there are very few units she cannot destroy in one hit. Most interestingly, it is a natural progression from her early and mid-game builds, meaning you don’t have to redo her perks or compromise on her earlier performances. With Rewa, it’s just smooth kuta-crushing from start to finish. Rifle Squad Sachin : Sachin is kind of a one-trick pony, but what a pony. With his low squaddie tax and This Is My Rifle perk, he is just so cheap. Useful both in defensive and attack missions, he is a reliable, efficient, and affordable unit that will carry you in the early and mid-game, with the added bonus of sounding magnificent while doing it. Rifle squads tend to struggle against the MENACE tough, but within a solid combined-arms team and with AP rounds, he can still shine. Antitank Tech : The PAL is the best infantry-based antitank solution in the early game by far, compared to the Workshopped RPG and the Mining Laser. And with Tech, it becomes far more mobile and usable outside of defense missions. Pointfire is not necessary but useful to have. Its an extremely reliable early-game build at a time when your anti-tank options are often limited. The laser lance is a good mid-game pick, and the MAAL makes this build viable even in the late-game, even if it pales in comparison to an ATGM team or a Tank Gun. C-Tier Radar Bog : Like with the ATGM, Bog is the ideal character if you want a unit that brings a single, non-stat based capability to bear on the cheap. The radar tough, is a lot less useful than a dedicated recon team. Without knowing the unit type, knowing its location is not going to be enough to properly plan a maneuver or an attack, and at Expert difficulty, the only thing it's going to tell you is “there are enemy units everywhere on the map”. On top of that, because you have to activate it almost every turn, Bog tends to struggle to keep up with the rest of the force. It would be useful for planning artillery strikes, but artillery is basically useless, so it doesn’t really have a chance to shine. ATGM Jean : While Jean’s perk tree seems to point toward making her a well-equipped frontliner, her stats are so low that she just wouldn’t perform well in that role. And, at least in Expert difficulty, the amount of loot you have to sell on the black market is rarely a bottleneck after the early game. So she is often reduced to hauling around the ATGM in my playthroughs. But the truth is, there is very little reason not to put the ATGM on Bog or another cheap vehicle. You gain just so much mobility and survivability, and you can carry far more ammo for a not-so-great price difference. Tank Ivey : You want your tank to be able to move fast and then fire a shot accurately, to take out any armor that your recon team spots. Ivey’s perk tree and stats really do not support it. Firing the tank gun twice is really not that useful, as you generally want to first reposition yourself then fire. Moreover her low Discipline and Defense make her unsuited for a recon-in-force role, as she tends to run for the hills when she gets shot at too much. Infantry Kody : While his excellent stats make him look like a well-rounded infantry, there is never a time when it really justifies the very high cost. His lack of any AP economy perks really handicaps him here. He is worse than Vamplew and far more expensive than Sachin, with fewer useful perks than Pike. Rifle Squad Pike : While perks like This Is My Rifle and Firing Line make you want to give him a good rifle, he suffers from the same problems as Kody, in that getting these last perks would prove rather expensive, and other characters fill that role better. One of his main strengths, very high discipline, is completely underused when simply shooting at things far away. Still useful in the early game when a full squad of Crowbar is devastating, but far from being the most meta use of supply points. Light Mech Achilleas : I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t like the Light Mech; its lower mobility and one less utility slot compared to the ATV really puts it at a disadvantage. And while its ability to equip a jetpack could turn it into a nifty, quickly redeployable anti-tank platform able to neutralize pop-up threats, the math never works out. The only way to have it shoot one of the 60AP anti-tank weapons like the Rocket Launcher or Laser Lance after jumping is with Achilleas with Drive By, and that’s pretty expensive for something that could just be a far more versatile APC. Moreover, the Mech Jetpack only starts appearing in the endgame when you have far better options available for that role. D-Tier Scout Car Esconde : One of my obsession since the release of the early access has been to make a viable scout car build. This is the closest I came to, and it’s still dogshit. The problem with infantry recon is that, if the rest of your force becomes fully mechanized, then they will always outpace the recon squad. That and, no matter how good her VA is, I’m getting tired of Darby’s lines. But, currently, and despite my best efforts, there is no way to make the ATV survivable enough for my dream to become a reality. While Esconde’s Divine Intervention perk helps, and Fervor allows him to get out of a bad situation, the ATV can quickly become boxed in between enemy units. Even loaded to the gills with Adaptive Camouflage modules, you simply can’t sneak through enemy lines like Darby. And if you prioritize vision range with Advanced Sensor modules, then you are just sitting in the equivalent of a Honda Civic far in front of the rest of the force. Artillery Ivey : I just can’t seem to make artillery work in this game, neither the Rocket Organ nor the 180mm Mortar. The Rocket Organ is just too inconsistent to be useful; it never seems to suppress the units I want it to suppress, and the fact that it has to reload every other turn makes it singularly unreactive. Even with Bog, it never seems to justify the supplies spent on it. Ivey’s build with the mortar is just as bad. Even with Direct Fire the spread is just too great. And there never really is a situation when using one unit to designate the target, and then another to shoot at it is advantageous over simply sending Lim in. And if the enemy unit is so dangerous that it justifies spending so many resources on it, the last thing you want is a widely inaccurate attack. The only time where I decided to include artillery in one of my build, outside of wanting to test it, was as support for jetpack attack units to treat undiscovered targets that would pin down my attackers. And it was so bad at it that I just replaced it with the small mortar. On top of that, the secondary missions “Don’t destroy three structures”, which are generally an easy source of promotion points, become completely impossible. It is kinda fun to use in the same way that playing roulette is fun; when it hits its very satisfying, but just don’t really count on it ever paying off. Wereworth : The most useless character: with tremendously low AP, and a growth potential so low you could not make a decent SL out of him even if you locked him for a millennium inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. While his Accuracy is not bad, it is worse than Sachin with a full squad, and you get none of the other good perks Sachin has. He doesn’t have any good build to turn him into an anti-tank unit, and his voice is insanely annoying. On top of that I just hate Crocodile Dundee man. Paul Hogan had real potential, I loved his character in Anzac. That franchise just nuked his career. submitted by /u/Horo_Misuto to r/menace [link] [comments]

Things to do in Vermont
I have spent far too many years in Vermont bored out of my mind looking for things to do here, so I made a list of things that I would like to do soon (most of which I have not done before). I figured I would share it as there are almost certainly people in Vermont also looking for things to do! I would love and appreciate any additions to the list (mine is severely lacking hiking due to primarily using a wheelchair, and I have also omitted anything that is quite expensive and tend to be overrun by tourists, such as Stowe Street or any of the resorts). If you have anything you think would be a good thing to add to the list, please let me know, or if something on the list is permanently closed or dangerous, that's also helpful information! This is my second time posting such, as the first time was responded to primarily with terribly rude folks telling me how much my list sucks, so if the only thing you have to say is negative and not actually helpful, please keep it to yourself! I Spent $1355.75 on Backpacks. Here's what I learned
I bought and tested 7 backpacks for a total of $1355. I used this subreddit when deciding on what backpacks to try so I figured I'd share what I learned! The Bags: I was looking for a small 'do it all' backpack. Here is what I was looking for when testing the bags: Small enough to fit under an airplane seat, but still with enough storage that I, as a light packer, could use it for a week-long trip A secondary storage compartment with enough space to fit smaller non-clothing items (passport, money, pens, charging cables, headphones, etc...) Had to be relatively comfortable. I frequently carry a laptop in my backpack, so I wanted a laptop carrying compartment. With this in mind, the seven bags I bought and tested were: Peak Design Travel Backpack 30L & 45L, Cotopaxi Allpa 28L & 35L, Tomtoc Travel Backpack 40L, Osprey Sojourn Porter 30L, and the Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC 30L. For additional context, I am a 5'10 150LB Male, and found most of the bags to be comfortable enough. Testing Method While not the most scientific test, I filled up each bag with my 15" Macbook Air, as well as a collection of clothes, and walked around with it in my house. Please keep in mind that my opinions on these bags are not based on long-term use, or even use on a trip! These are just my initial impressions as well as which bag I ended up keeping and why. So while the title is absolutely maybe a little clickbaity, I still think it's helpful for those in a similar situation as I was. For reference the set of clothes I tested each bag with included: 3 Long sleeve T-shirts, 4 T-Shirts, 4 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of sweatpants, a pair of jeans, a medium-thick zip-up jacket, 3 pairs of socks, and 2 pairs of underwear. Obviously not 100% representative of what someone would take on a trip, but it's was just a random selection used to compare the storage capacity & comfort of each bag. What I learned: Several of the bags I tried offered the ability to detach the backstraps and store them somewhere on the bag. Personally, I didn't care for this at all and would have preferred they replace the backstrap stowing area with additional back-padding. I found that I much preferred a bag where the main storage compartment is a single large storage area instead of multiple smaller compartments. Here's the Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC (Left) and the the Cotopaxi Allpa 35L (Right) to show what I mean. Unfortunately both of the Allpas section off their main compartment into a few smaller sub-compartments and in doing so it made me feel like the Allpas held less than the bags that had one big compartment. I think if you want built-in organization this could be a plus, but at that point, I'd just use packing cubes. Pricey bags aren't inherently better! The Tomtoc ended up being my second favorite bag. Result The Black Hole Mini was the last bag I tried and I only bought it after seeing a post on here where someone had it sitting comfortably under an airplane seat, and I'm glad I did! The black hole mini was the bag I liked the most after testing and took it on a week-long international trip using it as my only bag with no complaints. As for the other backpacks, the Peak Design Travel bags were nice, but the 45L was too large and the 30L didn't have enough storage outside of its main compartment. The Allpas were ok, but I hated having the space subdivided into many zippered mesh compartments. The Ospery Porter's shape & side flaps were awkward to me but is otherwise a good bag. Lastly, the Tomtoc was a great value pick but didn't have as much organized storage for smaller items as the Black Hole. Extra Notes on each bag Peak Design Travel Backpack 30L I love the main compartment in this bag. It's one large open space and has zipper pockets on the sides that don't take up any extra room if unused. A small feature, but PD knocked it out of the park with the strap adjusters. They're made of solid metal and feel great to use when lengthening or shortening the shoulder straps. Has 5 carrying straps??? Who on earth is using all 5? I understand that a hip belt on a 30L backpack is likely overkill in most scenarios but c'mon... it's a $230 backpack. I shouldn't be required to drop another $30 in a separate purchase for the hip belt. The 30L bag only has two storage sections, the main compartment and the front pocket. My main drawback with this backpack is the front pocket is too small to be the only other storage compartment on the bag. Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L This bag fixes the PD 30L's issue where there was no good space to store items outside of the main compartment. The 45L fixes this by adding a nice and spacious secondary storage space in the front. I was surprised with how little space was left in the main compartment after fitting in all of the clothes and the laptop in comparison to the 30L. There's more room than the 30L, but not nearly as much as I expected with a 30L->45L jump. I assume most of the gain in storage space is due to the addition of the secondary compartment. $300 is a lot for a bag. This bag is huge. It's just too big for me as I don't want to have to store it in the overhead on a plane. Tbh, it was unfair to select it as one of my prerequisites was being "small enough to fit under an airplane seat", but I did want to see what benefits you can get out of a bigger bag. Cotopaxi Allpa 28L & 35L By testing the Allpas I found out that I much preferred having one large main storage compartment rather than a few smaller zippered-off compartments. The 28L Allpa was the only bag I tested that couldn't fit the laptop and all of the clothes. In fairness, it was also the smallest bag I tested, but the Peak Design 30L is said to also be 28L when compressed and was able to hold everything just fine. The laptop compartment for both Allpa's left my laptop much less secure than the other bags. I really liked the material used for the front of the bag + the funky color designs might be a perk for some. Tomtoc Travel Backpack 40L Very spacious main compartment and has a few side compartments that are pretty nifty too! However, the front and top pockets become pretty unusable if the main compartment is at or near capacity. The laptop/back compartment felt a little cramped, but the red tabs to unzip compartments without having to actually use the zippers were a nice touch! Overall I quite liked the Tomtoc and think it packs a punch way above its price range. Osprey Sojourn Porter 30L Again, the big spacious main compartment offered with the Porter is nice, but it's shaped fairly awkwardly. I found the side panels & compression straps to be pretty awkward. Maybe a bonus to some, but I felt they only ever got in my way. When the harness was stowed away, it sorta 'bulged' into my lower back while I carried around the backpack. The laptop storage area is pretty small, and whenever I had my laptop in the Porter I could feel the big metal rectangle on my back, especially when the main compartment was full. Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC 30L Despite being the smallest bag on this list in terms of dimensions, it carried more than many of the other bags I tested. The secondary storage area is great and I love that it has a 270-degree zipper just like the main compartment, however, because it's on the side of the backpack closest to the back, it got pretty cramped when the main compartment was full. The "exterior stretch-mesh pocket" to hold water bottles ended up being way more secure than I had originally expected. Comfy, and spacious, great rectangular form factor, and comes with a hip strap. This is the one I chose! TL;DR If you're looking for a carry-on size backpack with maximum capacity, my favorite was the BlackHole mini MLC and I found the Tomtoc Travel Backpack to be a great value choice. submitted by /u/hutchkinss to r/onebag [link] [comments]

Trans women, what do you about the buldge?
I've been into crossdressing for a while now, and questioning if I'm trans or not. Regardless lf that, how do you deal with your bulge? Do you just not wear jeans or tight skirts/dresses? Or do you have some nifty trick to hide it? Or well, maybe you just don't care? It's something ive been thinking about, and curious to what other people do with it submitted by /u/EasyEden_ to r/trans [link] [comments]

By far the worst thing I've ever fucking read.
(NOT ME NEVER ME.) IAmA 25 year old gay man who has been in a consensual sexual relationship with his father for 12 years. AMA EDIT: Edited down a bit, hopefully an easier read now. A little background: I was gay for as long as I can remember, well before anything started with my Dad. My Dad has always identified as heterosexual. My parents divorced when I was very young and I was raised by a single father. He never remarried and never even dated, or showed any interest in doing so. Around the age of 11 or 12 I discovered and found myself especially fixated on the incest stories. I had no real attraction to my Dad prior to reading these stories, and didn't initially feel an attraction to him when I first started reading them. It was more the idea of this Phantom Father, not my own father, that most interested me. It wasn't until I had been reading them for several months before I had started taking more of a notice of my own father, and began to appreciate him as a man more than as a Dad. One story in particular became my favorite. It involved a boy building up the courage to "investigate" his father's nethers while he slept on a semi-regular basis for many years, without his father ever waking up or learning what was going on. I printed this particular story out (at the public library no less - risky risky!) and hid it in my bedroom closet, and I would often read it when I masturbated. Long story short, after several failed attempts to sneak a peek, one night I eventually did get him free of his jeans. Just enough to pull him out over the top without having to actually remove his jeans. I should have been satisfied that I got to see it without him waking up, but being an especially horny pubescent 13 year old who had never done anything sexual before, my curiosity overtook my self-preservation instincts and I put it in my mouth. He woke up almost immediately, and went into the worst rage I've ever seen him in. He stood there facing the wall, breathing really heavily, and told me to go to bed without even turning around. I ran into my room, where I slept in my own bed, alone, for the first time in my whole life. The next morning was a school day for me, but not a work day for him. I went to school without us talking about it or anything else. He basically ignored me and I didn't push it. When I came home from school I found out that he had rummaged through my room looking for my journal to, I assume, try and get inside of my head. He found the Nifty story I had printed instead. When I came home it was sitting on our dining room table, and my Dad was sitting in the quiet living room (no TV or anything) in his chair, just staring at the ceiling. He confronted me and asked if I was gay. He stressed that he was upset not because I might be gay, but because I was making the moves on my father. He suggested I should go into therapy, which caused me to have an emotional sobbing meltdown. He consoled me and promised me I wouldn't have to go to therapy and that everything would be okay if I just let go of all those thoughts. Once the conversation ended the rest of the day went as normally as a day can go after something like that. I presumed that sharing a bed wasn't going to happen anymore, and so I went into my own room. I was more overwhelmed of my irrational fear of sleeping alone in my room and against my better judgment I went into my Dad's bedroom and crawled onto my usual side of the bed. He lifted up off of his pillow when I touched the bed to look at me (I couldn't see his face in the dark so wasn't sure what kind of reaction her had) and then just laid back down, which I took as the all-clear and got into bed. After laying there for a bit he eventually rolled over onto his side, put his arm around me and told me he loved me. It felt very usual to the way things were before all of this and I assumed that's what it met, and told him I loved him too. And then I felt him starting to get an erection. And he started to rub my thigh (in more of a caressing loving way than a "hay bb lets do dis" way or anything). I rolled over to face him, buried my face in his chest, and we fell asleep. Nothing happened that night. This continued for months, with each night the two of us clearly shifting from less of a familiar bonding/holding into a bit more of less defined bonding. Eventually he got the second noticeable erection. At this point we'd gotten to "close" and nothing had come of the fight we had, so I guess I had the guts (or the audacity?) to reach around and grab it. He pulled back but didn't say anything, and so I reached back to find it again. He let me rub at it through his jeans a little bit, before mustering out a "[my name] ... please don't ..." and moving my hand off of it. I rolled over to face him and hugged him/buried myself in his chest like I had many nights at that point, and more or less begged him. He got louder and things got more and more tense as I kept pleading with him while he kept pushing me away. At that point I shut him up and basically negotiated with him. I asked him to just let me see what it was like, for him to just see what it was like, and if it was too weird I'd stop and go back to sleeping in my room and never try anything again. He protested for quite some time but I guess I wore him down and finally he asked, in a very unapproving tone, if I would drop all of this once and for all if he humored me. I agreed. And that's when I gave my Dad my first blowjob. It took him (what felt like / very well may have been) a very long time to stay hard. I didn't really blow him - I was both small and inexperienced so I more or less just played with the tip. I was a nervous wreck too much to enjoy it at all really, because the whole time I was waiting for the inevitable "Nope, not working, go to your room". The first words we exchanged were me asking "Am I doing okay?" (confused why it was taking so long, when it took me like 30 seconds to orgasm at that age) followed by his hurried "Don't talk". I tried for quite a bit longer after that, and he didn't cum and eventually started to soften again. At that point he told me to stop and go to sleep, and got out of bed and pulled his pants up. I sniffled a bit I think and though this was the "Nope" I was expecting, but he noticed and reassured me with a "You're fine" before going to the bathroom. After a quick pee he came back to bed, where at this point I was still crying, and he wrapped his arms around me and told me "It wasn't what I was expecting" and "maybe we can try again. Maybe. Does that make you feel better? Now go to sleep." We did try again. Little by little, sometimes weeks in between, I would wear him down and we'd try again. Eventually it was every night, with the usual routine being me blowing him as long as I could and eventually him finishing himself off. I got progressively better at it (/he got progressively more comfortable with it) until I could finish him off myself. Things obviously escalated beyond BJs over the years. He never did go down on him to this day, it's always been very one-sided (I've never pushed and he's clearly not interested). I was 17 when we first had full-on penetration sex. We've had sex regularly ever since. I still live at home. I can't imagine not living with him. I don't love him like a boyfriend. I still love him like a father and still view him as my Dad. I just view our physical relationship as a way of expressing my otherwise platonic love for him and making my Dad happy and feel good while also making myself feel good. We've had long talks about it over the years. Many times he's tried to end it but failed. At this point, 12 years into it, I'm still not sure what he really thinks of all this. He more or less explains it as (paraphrasing many conversations here) "You wanted to make me happy, I wanted you to be happy, and you eventually wore down my resistance." He still has a lot of guilt over it. He won't sit next to me at family gatherings or when we visit my grandparents, unless he is forced to. Being a touchy feely family, if we are sitting next to each other I'll often rub his back or lean into him, both of which make him uncomfortable/elevate his guilt and often leads to us leaving early. He often tries to fix me up with people (even girls - he still doesn't accept I'm 100% gay, and still wants grandkids - rme) so that I can find someone to really be with. He uses age as an excuse, saying he'll die way before I do and he doesn't want me to be alone. What else? Obviously, nobody knows about this. I've only ever told one person, my best friend, back when we were both 16 years old. We only discussed it once (she was, as was to be expected, quite horrified - and took a lot of convincing not to tell on me) and it was never brought up again. We're still best friends, and we still have never addressed it. I don't know if she knows it still goes on or not. I'm sure there will be a lot of judgment. A lot of confusion. People thinking I'm some kind of victim (let me state it again: I'm not). All I can really say is that I'm extremely happy in my life, in all aspects of it. TL;DR: I successfully seduced my heterosexual single father into entering into an ongoing sexual relationship with me, his gay son, through relentless begging crying and persistence. submitted by /u/PotatoOk4186 to r/copypasta [link] [comments]

We’re 3 female computer scientists at MIT, here to answer questions about programming and academia. Ask us anything!
Hi! We're a trio of PhD candidates at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (@MIT_CSAIL), the largest interdepartmental research lab at MIT and the home of people who do things like develop robotic fish, predict Twitter trends and invent the World Wide Web. We spend much of our days coding, writing papers, getting papers rejected, re-submitting them and asking more nicely this time, answering questions on Quora, explaining Hoare logic with Ryan Gosling pics, and getting lost in a building that looks like what would happen if Dr. Seuss art-directed the movie “Labyrinth." Seeing as it’s Computer Science Education Week, we thought it’d be a good time to share some of our experiences in academia and life. Feel free to ask us questions about (almost) anything, including but not limited to: what it's like to be at MIT why computer science is awesome what we study all day how we got into programming what it's like to be women in computer science why we think it's so crucial to get kids, and especially girls, excited about coding! Here’s a bit about each of us with relevant links, Twitter handles, etc.: Elena (reddit: roboticwrestler, Twitter @roboticwrestler) does research in human-computer interaction, focusing on massive CS classrooms has also studied drones that can perch on vertical walls is a former wrestler (check out this take-down!) Jean (reddit: jeanqasaur, Twitter @jeanqasaur) does research on programming language design and software verification developed a programming language called Jeeves that makes it easier for programmers to build strong privacy features for apps once worked without email for 10 days and wrote a Newsweek article about it co-founded Graduate Women at MIT Neha (reddit: ilar769, Twitter @neha) does research on multi-core databases and distributed systems gives talks on scaling your database and using caches effectively so badly wants YOU to learn to code that she wrote up this nifty resource page used to work at Google and helped launch the new Digg (don’t hold that last one against her!) Ask away! Disclaimer: we are by no means speaking for MIT or CSAIL in an official capacity! Our aim is merely to talk about our experiences as graduate students, researchers, life-livers, etc. Proof: http://imgur.com/19l7tft Let's go! http://imgur.com/gallery/2b7EFcG FYI we're all posting from ilar769 now because the others couldn't answer. Thanks everyone for all your amazing questions and helping us get to the front page of reddit! This was great! [drops mic] submitted by /u/ilar769 to r/IAmA [link] [comments]
