Bought the Halo75 V2 - why is the base not translucent?
I purchased the Halo75 V2 today. I am very disappointed. The base of the keyboard is not translucent but a solid white, which is completely different to the images and videos online on their official website and youtube reviews. Why is this? Nuphy air75 v3 or Halo75 v2?
I bought the kick75 8 months ago and recently dropped it, got damaged but nothing too serious albeit annoying as some screws are lose due to the cracks and a design piece is lost (the green piece around the corner). I'm looking for another keeb that can replace it and I'm eyeing on two options which is the air75 v3 and halo75 v2. Would love to get the opinions of people to know which one is better. For reference: I'm mainly using it for work (at the office) and gaming when I got home. RGB is not a problem, preferably something that makes me type with less errors (idk if it's just me or the low profile layout) submitted by /u/Washunem to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

Don’t get a NuPhy Halo V2
I discovered NuPhy when I got an Air 75V2 that I still have as my daily keyboard, and it is amazing. Last year, I got a Halo V2 for my gaming PC, because I had a Logitech that I was not in love with. Don’t take me wrong, the keyboard feels amazing, BUT, it is broken. It basically doesn’t keep charge. I reached out NuPhy support after updating firmware with no luck and they suggested to open it and check if the battery was plugged. First of all, the Halo V2 is insanely difficult to open, there are no information about how to open it in internet and is really difficult to not screw it. Second, the battery was actually plugged so I think the problem is different. At this point, the keyboard works if it is plugged to the computer any other source of energy, but I don’t think is fair to spend in a rechargable keyboard that you are not able to recharge. I just replied to NuPhy with my findings and I am not sure what they are going to tell me, but it is still really disappointing to have a keyboard that difficult to open, and then they asking to open it as it was just that easy. submitted by /u/Round_Sherbet_8517 to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

[HELP] Halo 75 V2, can't get either nuphy.io nor console working
Just got the Halo 75V2, wanted to change the RGB and remap some keys but can't get either of these to work. On io I get "No Compatible devices found," On console I get "Device is disconnected" Tried updating the QMK software and the dongle, I assume I don't need the RF since that's for BT. I really don't want to bother with the app and all. I can see the keyboard recognized on Windows devices as Nuphy Halo75 V2 and the dongle as well. I could recognize and flash the firmware with QMK toolbox, so everything on the connection side seems good. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. submitted by /u/MomoGimochi to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

Is it worth buying this Nuphy Halo75 v2 Ionic White Silent Red model?
I wanted to ask owners of this keyboard if you recommend it, or if it's better to look for a different model. I'm looking for a keyboard with a 75% or 70% ratio and chose the Nuphy Halo75 v2 Ionic White Silent Red. How much battery do you get on the Halo75 v2? Is 8hrs with just the backlight on normal?
Hello! I am just wondering - how much battery life do you folks get out of your Halo75 v2? I have been thinking that, as of late, the battery life on mine has been bad. So, I decided to do a proper test today: no HaloLights, 3/4 level keyboard backlight, 100% to 10%, a full 8-hours work day, Bluetooth, connected to a Windows laptop. Software development, so quite intese use, but still… The keyboard went 100% to 0% during this time frame, and it got quite warm on the bottom - warm enough that the desk was also a bit warm. I am getting a bit worried this is not normal battery life. So, how much do you folks get? Can you confirm this is indeed not normal? I am trying to decide if the battery life with the LEDs on (HaloLight / side lights off) is really this bad (averaging 8 hours of active use), or if I should RMA. To be clear - I got a second Air75v2 for portability and battery life, so the bad battery life would not really be a deal breaker in the long term or anything. I am mostly worried because defective batteries tend to be fine hazards. I've had the keyboard since April / May and, aside from this, I have been over the moon with it, so much so that I have a second NuPhy keyboard coming up :) submitted by /u/chic_luke to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

Halo75 V2 not working at all in 2.4G mode
My nuphy halo 75 V2 has just arrived, and it works quite well when connected to my laptop with a wire, but this nasty thing goes utterly dead when the switch on the side is set to the wi-fi sign—no light at all, just dead as when it’s off, so not a single key works. I checked the battery while the keyboard was connected via the wire, and I saw a green light flicker in the RGB light bar (which means, as you know, that it is pretty full). I did firmware update, which went fine and followed the manual exactly, but the result is still the same. I’ve skimmed through this sub and found out that wireless connection issues are a common problem with this keyboard, but no one (at least here) seems to have the exact issue I’m facing now. Is this something that I can fix myself? If anyone knows anything about this kind of situation, please let me know. This is so damn stressful. Man I hardly know about keyboards and all I wanted is just a good one submitted by /u/Bartleby420958 to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

Plenty of typos once switched to Halo75 v2
Hello, For a long time I've been exclusively using 60% keyboards of different brands, brown switches. I decided to try Nuphy Halo75 v2 with Raspberry switches, first time using Nuphy keyboards, but... The amount of typos I am having is insane, for example, when writing simple words like "is", it outputs "ios" way too often. Also, the right shift is very small, which causes me to miss-click and hit the up arrow. Last issue is that before, when using the 60% keyboards, before hitting backspace I usually used to feel the edge of the keyboard and press the button next to it, that gave me some sense of the keyboard location in the desk, but now I keep hitting the "Home" button. Sometimes moving the keyboard to the right on my desk helps a bit, but still I have a lot of grief of typos. These "issues" drive me insane and I feel my typing accuracy and speed went down the drain. I love the feel of the switches but I am not sure whether my frustration worth it. Maybe I need to "get used" to it over time so I will have less typos, but maybe I should just stick to 60% tactile keyboards. What do you think? How long it is going to take me to get used to these "shenanigans"? Do I need to rewire my brain for this keyboard to work for me? Should I change the keyboard to a 60% one, or maybe just get tactile switches again? Please give me suggestions, I am frustrated AF from this purchase although I can feel how high quality the product is. I want to love it but maybe I can't? Thank you submitted by /u/Ny432 to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

Would you recommend the Halo75 V2 in 2025?
I am a first-time buyer, so I do not have any detailed knowledge of mechanical keyboards. However, design is incredibly important to me, and I have not seen any that make my eyes happier than the Nuphy Halo series, including the air. However, I've read a bit about some double stroke issues, some issues that require turning off and on, some issues with how the RGB colours appear and some app connectivity issues? I'm also wondering if they will soon release a v3 like they did with the air. And whether it would make sense to wait for that. I am partial to low-profile keyboards, but I really like the high-profile oh the Halo75. I also would like a thocky and tactile feel that I worry the air might be lacking. I think I am most worried about paying this much and getting a keyboard that has such simple issues like double strokes, or the turning on off issues etc. So any actual experience using it would be super helpful! Thanks a lot in advance :) submitted by /u/mwohaneungeoyajigeum to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

Halo 75 V2 sucks rant
Tl;DR; I used to love Nuphy but the Halo 75 V2 was terrible and I am sad. This is going to be long and rambly because I am pissed. ------------------------------------------------------------- It all started so many years ago; I saw my coworker with a Halo 65 (V1) and saw how well-built it was. I wanted one. I bought a Halo 75 (V1) for myself and loved it. I loved it so much that when my S.O. needed a new keyboard, I bought her a Halo 65 (V1) I loved it so much that I gifted a Halo 96 (V1) to a friend on a special occasion in his life. For those keeping track, that is three purchases, all with wrist rests and 1 with shine-through keycaps. I just loved it; it worked and was well-built. The Rose Glacier switches I got on mine were excellent. It had a few minor issues. I don't think the "Halo" shortcut on mine ever did anything; if it did, it was not noticeable. You could not customize keys or do macros, but I never cared, not that useful for me. Time passes, and I need a new keyboard a few years later. Nothing happened to my Halo 75 V1 I just need 2 keyboards now for reasons. I didn't think twice about going directly to Nuphy's website. I see that there is a new Halo 75 model, V2 nice. Got me a new wrist rest, some nice new colors. They don't have rose glaciers no more, so I got some lemon switches let's give it a try. I mean, it should be the same as V1 but better, right? No, no, no, no, no, no. This is a completely different beast. I'll go ahead and walk you guys through it. Package arives, all is good. Wait.... That is weird, the bottom is not metal anymore it is plastic? Why? To shine a light on the desk it seems, I mean that is a choice, a bad one but a choice nonetheless. I mean, they clearly stated it on the website, I am the one who didn't pay attention. Whatevs, not happy but not a deal breaker though. Unbox it plug the Dongle into the PC, keyboard keeps flashing does not connect to dongle. Wired and BT were fine from a quick test (Spoilers: BT was NOT fine) Try reconnecting to Dongle, Fn + 4 that sucker. Nothing. Maybe a quick firmware upgrade? Go to Nuphy website grab latest firmware. There is only board Firmware update for Halo 75 V2. But Air V2 has like three different things you need to update. Yeah whatever don't care about Air. What is that? I need to run this toolbox in windows and flash the file trough it. I need to install a program on WINDOWS to update my firmware? I am a Linux guy, I don't have windows. Ok, no big deal let me get my S.O. computer and do it. What I have to download an fishy .exe from github to run on my PC? Oh god, not good. Did some research toolbox seems legit, not happy but let's do it. That did not fix the issue. I reached out to support after a few emails from them telling me to do the basic reconnect to dongle thing they sent me a Link to a google drive with three firmwares to upgrade. QMK v1.0.5 RF v2.1.0 Dongle v2.1.1 RF I needed to download an app to my phone to update (at least it was not a sideload) QMK was just another version of the firmware I had to use on the toolbox thing. The dongle I had to run a fishy .exe that I downloaded from a Google Drive link to update. And on my S.O. computer, I don't have windows. WTF dude? It only gets worse for each firmware. After all that is done I can finally connect to my dongle. All should be good now right? This was a one time thing, right ? NOPE First issue PRINT SCREEN is NOT mapped to print screen it is mapped to some windows shortcut bullshit (shift + alt + S?). But I am on LINUX so it does not work. Ok, the keyboard can be configured no big deal, it can even be configured on the browser ? NICE. NOPE This thing only works like 70% of the time, and you still need to setup proper permissions on linux for the keyboard to be configurable. Ok, now that is done let's finally use the Keyboard. Key presses are randomly dropped when in wireless mode even though I am sure I correctly pressed the key Latency is all over the place, frequently when typing fast a large group of words are not registered and suddenly flush on the screen when the typing slows down a bit. This together with the previous point makes it very hard to verify my typing. Repeated presses of the same key can randomly cause the key to have extra burst presses that I did not perform. This also stacks with the random dropped key presses. Shit, this sounds like interference, unplugs all wireless things from PC, move dongle to 5 cm from board. Same crap. Change USB port same crap. Plug Halo V1 using same ports same positions, all is good. Plug V1 with all other Wireless stuff also connected, works like a charm. And all the V2s seem to be plagued with issues, especially on wireless: https://reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1djkmf9/issues_with_repeated_key_inputs_on_nuphy_halo75v2/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1ghu79v/air_75_v2_dead_after_firmware_update/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1gbop5d/nuphy_halo96_power_overdraw_and_battery_life_issue/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g9p3gw/donotupdate_nuphy_air_75_v2_rfdongle_firmware_11/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g7yqpd/are_air_v2_keyboards_stable_now/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g5xgtz/air75_v2_disappointed_after_using_for_5_months/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g5rcit/nuphy_air75_should_you_update_firmware_for_dongle/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g5rp3q/nuphy_air96_v2_crashing_when_running_macros/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g3lcie/air75_v2_bluetooth_stopped_working/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g3cg0g/connection_24_stopped_working/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g3cg0g/connection_24_stopped_working/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1g2u0nq/nuphy_air75_v2_weird_flicker_after_210_update/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1glplf1/this_sometimeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1gl8vup/this_summarizes_my_experience_with_nuphy_products/ https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1glmobr/nuphy_air75_v2_is_the_worst_keyboard_i_have_ever/ I don't understand, Nuphy had something good going on. It was really good, I understand the will to improve on things, but improvements without reason and at the cost of extra complexity that you can't handle is never worth it. While adding configurable lights, and macros and VIA and whatever else V2 added Nuphy forgot the basics. This is a Keyboard, I press button, letter shows up on screen. Everything else is a bonus. In the race to add shiny new things they forgot to ask if they should. I never had to update any firmware for any keyboard in my life. In one day I had to update 3 firmware on the same keyboard.... WTF ? The only thing I enjoyed on the Halo V2 better than the V1 were the default keycaps. Everything else was a worse experience. Do better Nuphy, just do better. submitted by /u/Subli to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]

NuPhy Halo75 V2 - disappointed?
My first question is: Did somebody mod the Halo75 V1? It is out of box so good and I never saw a moding video. Maybe some get a new color for the ghostbar but this is it. I hate the Gem80 and the new switches but what we get with Halo75 V2? More colors and only 3 switches, like on Gem80. Who cares about switches? Colors!!! :D Of course no Baby Raccoon/Kangaroo but pink and mint color + the ugliest logo in the corner I ever saw on a keyboard. ISO layout? Nope! White keyboard? Yes, but with grey keycaps! Annoying south facing LED's? Sure 20% or free cheap ABS keycaps? Nope! Big plus is VIA support and gasket mount but in this price range it should he normal, like 1000Hz polling rate but still very disappoined. submitted by /u/tamburasi to r/NuPhy [link] [comments]
