Leftovers for tonight. Minestrone from Sunday, there’ll be more left for DH’s lunch tomorrow. This soup is so filling that i don’t think I’ll make a sandwich to go with. That can happen sometimes, for sure. When I was in Mexico I made peanut butter cookies in the air fryer. 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, I cup peanut butter. That was the basic recipe. I thought it was too sticky so I added 2 tablespoons of flour and they came out perfect!  love,

It doesn't taste like they use real butter in the shortbread cookies anymore either. I guess the peanut butter sandwich cookies are okay. I hate when manufacturers change their product to cut costs.

Using Betty Crocker's recipe, it suggests to bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 until edges are light brown and as I was watching more for light brown they stayed in the oven too long. Although delicious, these are not the chewy cookies I expected and I am trying to pinpoint where I went wrong. My primary suspicion is that I have light brown sugar instead of dark brown? Finally got my cookie boxes done. 1,170 cookies in total. Lots of repeats from last year but a few new ones in the mix. I made Sally's hot cocoa cookies, a couple kinds of shortbread, brown butter oatmeal sandwich cookies with cinnamon buttercream, coconut snowballs, pinwheels, biscoff truffles, chocolate sprinkle cookies, coconut dream bars, brown butter toffee chocolate chunk, gingerbread, vanilla pudding cookies, peanut butter cookies, candycane cookies (minus the peppermint), cranberry white chocolate. 15 different cookies in total. They are all pretty basic/simple recipes but I can link them if anyone is interested. And like last year.. I did not have the opportunity (or the space?!) to get a picture of everything together, so I just tried to take some pics along the way! So unbelievably easy! 1 cup of your fave PB 1 egg 1 cup sugar Combine all ingredients until it forms a dough like consistency (refrigerate for a bit if it's too sticky) Roll into balls, criss-cross with a fork, and, bake at 350° for 10-12 mins and let cool! They will set a bit more as they cool down. I left mine in for like 20ish mins because I made them thick. I made about 14. I'm asking about the taste, not its health benefits and whatnot. I bought peanut butter for the first time, after so many years consuming US films and shows. It was an utter disappointment by itself so I tried it with forest berries jelly (edit: I meant "jam", apologies) and it improved... But I'd still pick regular butter+jam 10x. Am I missing something? Or is it because the one I bought is natural and has no additives, so it just tastes like liquid smashed regular peanuts? :/ Also. I have a month to eat this. Please, recommend me any recipes I can use it for, because I don't think I'll be using it for breakfast, as I intended :/ Edit: So, here's what I've learnt: - The PB I bought is way different from what's consumed in the US; even if it's natural, I need to look for one where the peanuts are roasted and have some salt. - Your favourite brands are Jiff and Skippy. - It's also a cultural thing I'm not used to, which may also impact the way I perceived it. - I can mix it with fruits, chocolate, honey and make desserts such as cookies; besides the most popular mix with jam. Some of you also mentioned ramen 🤔 I won't say which is the brand I bought, for it's my first time and I can't compare it with anything, so it would be rude of me to say it's a bad product. Its ingredients are 80% peanut butter and 20% crunchy nut pieces, that's it. Yes, not even salt :') Thank you all for your comments. The traditional cross hatched peanut butter cookie is a nostalgic classic. But this recipe is far superior! It has phenomenal peanut butter flavor and a chewy center. This was a spur of the moment bake. I did not have roasted peanuts on hand. So it was a bit time consuming to separate 72 grams of peanuts from my container of mixed nuts.
