A few days ago I am seeing pilates socks and I just pause like okay this look very simple honestly. Just socks with grips at the bottom, nothing too complex. At first it feel like a small upgrade, not something very important. But then I notice how often people use them in workouts. I am thinking how tiny details can change performance. It feel basic but also very practical. Now I am thinking if they actually make a difference during workouts. I usualy dont think much about socks so this feel little diffrent to me. The grip might help with stability and prevent slipping, especially on smooth floors. I am also wondering if it improve balance or just add a small level of comfort. Some days ago I am not really thinking about this but now it feel interesting. Then I think about control. Having better grip might help people focus more on movement instead of worrying about slipping. It feel like a small support that make things easier. That give it more value than expected. Definitely crucial for a lot of exercises on the Pilates reformer. my old grippy socks weren’t super grippy and since i got better ones, a lot of the moves are a lot easier logistically and i feel more muscle activation and soreness. one time i completely blanked on my socks and almost slipped and injured myself, and that’s coming from an experienced mover with a ballet background so i have strong/stable ankles and balance. there are plenty of moves where the socks aren’t used, like a lot of arm work, table top, laying on your stomach, etc. but i could not get through a class without them. finding a brand with better grips has been a huge game changer for me I recently purchased this item from Shein and I couldn’t be happier. Shein has always made it incredibly easy to find the perfect item for the perfect price no matter what I'm looking for and they are always way cheaper in price than I can find anywhere else. The computers in the embassy were under constant attack, only the cyclic rebooting of the previously compromised systems prevented the final systems from falling under control of the outsiders. The Ornislarp all trembled, huddled close. It went unspoken, but all of them were thinking it. This wasn't how it was supposed to work. They were the ones who ate. They were not the ones eaten. They had seen with their own eyes or seen the video as four Treana'ad had grabbed an Ornislarp secguard and ripped him apart with hands and bladearms, only to begin stuffing pieces in their mouths to chew as the purplish blood and ichor ran. They stripped off their clothing and huddled together. "Maybe they will think we are having an interspecies orgy?" one asked. "They don't care about us," another said. "I hope they eat the masters," another said what they were all thinking. "I think they're mad," another said. The rest just stared at that one, then they all huddled down as the screaming mass broke through into the hallway outside the door. "DEATH! DEATH TO THE ORNISLARP!" came a scream. Okay, so I've been pretty consistent with the gym for the last 3 months! This is the first time that I've been this consistent. Usually, I go for a month or two, then take long breaks before signing up again. But since I decided to start 75 Medium, I’ve found myself sticking to it, even though my 75 Medium challenge ended like two weeks ago. The thing about these challenges is that they shift your mind, body, and generally how you show up in all areas of your life. Cause tell me why I finished this challenge about 14 days ago, yet my routine is still the same? I think this is my lifestyle now, lol! Anyways, I’m looking to change up my gym routine and want to incorporate something more fun. I was thinking of skating, but then a friend of mine started taking Pilates, and she’s been hyping its benefits. I think I’m going to try Pilates, then maybe next year I can try skating. So far, I’ve been able to get almost all my Pilates equipment and gear from Alibaba (that’s where my friend got most of her things). She, however, doesn’t recommend the brand of socks she got. Bitcoin – in decline since the AI hype. It’s mainstream now. Influencing / YouTube – oversaturated. It’s not like in the beginning when YouTubers and influencers formed. Now there’s huge competition. People watch mainstream channels with 5M+ subscribers, and to even get 100 000 subs you have to be ultra-niche and fight for attention. IT / Tech jobs – dead. Huge unemployment, similar to art majors. It was the promised land around COVID, but now it’s done. Layoffs everywhere, insane competition, ridiculous recruitment processes, deadlines, and global competition with offshoring. Dropshipping / e-commerce – dead. It’s the most cliché answer when you search “how to make money online.” Vinted / Etsy – mainstream, possible to earn money but it’s basically pennies. Tutoring (online / offline) – also pennies. OnlyFans – mainstream, only already-famous celebrities really earn money there. Apps / SaaS / iOS / Android – you invest months building an app, but end up with 0 revenue because nobody downloads it. Market oversaturated. Everyone codes now, app stores are flooded with thousands of calendar apps, fitness apps, diet apps everything already exists. expensive dog breeding – possible but very niche, my landlord don’t allow me to keep dogs Horse trading / auctions – same, but harder and I don't have a place where I could keep a horse Books on Wattpad – oversaturated. Some people got rich writing books 5+ years ago, but now it’s hard to break in and promote. Substack – not that profitable. Niches are filled, and all the traffic goes to people who started early. Roblox games – already mainstream and niche is filled. The most profitable ideas I can think of that maybe still have some small undiscovered niche: Selling fart jars and bathwater. Selling used underwear and socks. Cooking simple food at home and selling it overpriced, pretending it’s michelin star level. honestly, I don’t know what’s left. It feels like everyone I know who’s rich either: was born with capital, or got into a niche early (like YouTube, influencing, real estate, created their app Back when property was still cheap, people could afford to buy apartments, then just sit and watch their value grow. For some reason, my Pilates studio is banning the use of any socks (including grippy) unless there’s a medical reason. Is there any actual rationale for this? Is it safer or do you get more out of the class? I hate being barefoot outside of my house and have seen some gross feet in my Pilates classes and can’t stomach getting plantar warts or anything similar. I’m thinking of just ignoring the policy unless there’s some sort of real reason?
