I'm a print shop owner, we do very little book/magazine/memo pad/sticky note stuff. Usually I use that stuff as negotiation material to close bigger deals, so I'm limited in my knowledge in that stuff. I make my own memo pads for the office with whatever paper I have, but lately I been thinking I'd really like to have some really nice memo pads in circulation here in the shop. I used to use fountain pens in college and I liked kokuyo campus notebooks, but I didn't really look around (I have a kakuno!). Anyway, the question. Who here uses straight printer paper, and what kind of paper specifically do you like writing on? I'm gonna just buy reams of whatever you guys say and make some memo pads. I'll scatter them around the shop and in like 2 weeks see what the homies' opinions are. Thank you my knowledgeable friends! PS. Hello! I'm currently getting my masters degree and I love writing with an FP. Sometimes I don't need the full notebook treatment and like to have scrap papers to scribble on. I usually use regular A4 paper and cut it with my guillotine just to make little scrap sized bits, but the bleeding through is frankly insane. Does anyone have any suggestions on good loose paper for scribbling that doesn't cost my firstborn child? Got a 3D printer recently so I thought I’d revisit an old idea, “printing” letters with light onto glow in the dark paper. Two modes - Oblique Strategies (displays a random creative idea to help you work through creative roadblocks) and Insult mode (random insult. Because I have a kid and it’ll make him smile). I'm making a thank you card that folds in the middle. It's 141 mm x 105 mm. I have decorate it on the outside. Now I want to print an image on the inside, on the left half as you open it up, and then I'll write a message on the right half. So the image on the left side will occupy 70.5 mm x 105 mm. No matter how I turn it, it comes out wrong. I have set a custom page size in printer driver, 141 mm height and 105 mm width. I made some 141 mm x 105 mm pieces of plain paper for testing. I have had most success with Paint actually. I nearly have it perfect with Paint, with image on the left side, but it's not maximizing the space, and when I change that then it gets messed up. Using the same custom dimensions in Word just comes out with cut off print. And yes, I already tried using AI to help me with this. It's hopeless. I have a Canon printer, and I'm doing this on Windows. So this is what I do. I open my image in Paint. I go to File, Print, select the printer, and click Preferences. The Canon printer preference box opens up. I go to Page Setup, select Landscape, select Custom paper size, set width to 105 mm and height to 141 mm, and I print. Page layout is set to normal size, but I tried experimenting with 2 Page layout, Poster, and Booklet. I rotated the image before doing this.
